safarigirl:It's unfair to mock Musa. He didn't appoint himself captain and I'm sure he didn't lobby for it. Even Enyeama referred to Musa as a great guy. Direct your frustrations to Oliseh dear. |
bestestgirl:6. They'll find you in your room slashed to bits by a carving knife. 7. The words "I love you forever" are splashed across the wall in crimson red blood. Dude, your own don done. RUN TO YOUR VILLAGE NOW!!!! ![]() |
edpunter:Chai, guy this you story sha, na wa. Some of us here are still old enough to remember what happened back then o! Chai! |
olumalcolm:Dude, stop spreading falsehood. Oliseh became Eagles captain when he was about 27. He wasn't close to retirement. He was forced into early international retirment along with Finidi George in 2002 because they spoke up for players welfare. He still played actively till 2006. |
MadCow1:Out of the mouth of a Mad Cow sometimes comes wisdom which we must understand. Oliseh's team, Oliseh's methods, Oliseh's cross win or lose; success or failure. As a fan of the national team,I respect that. I sympathize with Enyeama though. Personally, I think he should have just asked to be excused from the team so he can spend sometime with his family immediately after the burial. And even if he wanted to be in camp but would be late, a phone call could have solved all this. |
omonnakoda:Thank God someone finally mentioned the telephone. In my opinion all parties have their fault. Yes Oliseh could have handled the issue more maturely and with more diplomacy. However, I am surprised that the team captain cannot call his coach to explain why he would be late before hand. And if this is indeed about the captaincy, Oliseh is within his rights to name a new captain. That is not a new or unheard of concept. He should however have spoken to Enyeama about that decision in private. But even if he failed to do that, Enyeama was also wrong to make a scene over that. The captaincy is no one's birthright. He could have asked for an explanation in private. This seems like a basic clash of egos. |
TonyeBarcanista:You are quite right. Right from OBJ up until GEJ, the government let this Boko Haram madness grow into a ruthless monster. If PMB too fails to silence this menace, then he should start preparing to return to Daura. |
Chai, our wife don vex today. |
Tolexander:What should they be doing? Combing Sambisa? |
Oga Chelsea fan, you nor go go house? Match don finish since yesterday now. Abeg, we wan close shop. You fit come back later come watch better match between Arsenal and Man United. I go allow you enter free. Oya, go house go baff. |
maestroferddi:I think you need to go and read your own thread "Are Nigerians Smart" again, then come back and explain to me how anyone will ask a question like "where are the technocrats?". Wouldn't a simple Google search on the nominees have answered that, pray tell? Hmm, Nigerians are quite smart. Some maybe not so much. That said, now please point out where I have endorsed any of the "leaders with negative persona". Oh, wait you were too quick to conclude with mental clarity and logical conviction that anybody who desires Nigerian youths to ask relevant and informed questions rather than follow the bandwagon of ignorance is an APC supporter. Again, please read your own thread. Hopefully, it will refresh your memory and reignite your objectivity. |
mukina2:Chelsea are back....., in the relegation zone. Wey Edwife make I check her BP. |
breakeven:But of course, Anini was not the only armed robber in Nigeria too. They should have just let him be until they succeeded in arresting every single armed robber in the country. The randy old man who raped a 4 year old should also be freed. He is not the only rapist in town now. Why are they victimizing him? This witch hunt is not fair. ![]() |

Having read most of the comments here, it is no surprise that the leaders of tomorrow will continue to be overlooked when it comes to serious national issues. Surely, not to occupy key political positions. Many can't even analyse and comment sensibly and objectively on national issues. I see some asking about technocrats. Please, learn the meaning of technocrats before making uninformed comments. Does being a former governor or senator mean you don't have an area of technical expertise? Is Fashola, for example, not a lawyer? A SAN who practiced for years? And then some go about labelling people as corrupt, even when they've never been indicted, tried or convicted for any corrupt practice before. If you do not know that everyone is innocent until proven guilty, how then can you lead successfully? You'll just be punishing people unjustly based on your bias. For those asking about Ibe Kachikwu, he will likely be minister of state for petroleum since PMB has decided to be minister himself. How well he will combine that with his NNPC job is left to be seen. Although they are quite interrelated. In truth, how well PMB's cabinet perform can only be judged once they get to work, and over a period of time. All this juvenile criticism only makes folks look silly. God bless Nigeria. |
Imanuelle:I'm glad you mentioned the Oba's statement. That's the reason why FFK's comment should not be encouraged. His statement is not different from the Oba's own. So, if the fulanis are successfully banned from the SW by Afenifere and other Yorubas, who will be next? Drive away the Hausas, Tivs, Igbos, Ibibios, and any other tribes once any of their kinsmen commit a crime? Where will they chase Yorubas who also kidnap and take people to forest shrines in Oyo, Ogun and so on to? The issue of the herdsmen must be addressed, but don't blacklist an entire tribe for their actions. |
190theclown:Even if you don't take an interest in politics, politics will definitely take an interest in you. Those politicians can make policy decisions that will crash the business that your boss paying for your daily bread is into. Their policies can take that your plot of land and the duplex you erected on it away from you without compensation. So, if you think they have no impact on your life, then you are on a long thing. |
