Own Goal snubbed in Arsenal's Goal of the Month competition Despite scoring twice, both winners, for the Gunners already, the new signing has been overlooked in favour of "picks of the bunch" from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Olivier Giroud. Two goals in your opening five games of the season is a great start for any player, especially when they are both winners to earn your new club four of their seven points accrued thus far. However, it was not to be a fairytale end to a brilliant first month at Arsenal for Own Goal, who was cruelly left out of the club's look back at the best strikes from the past few weeks. In his place Arsenal have chosen "picks of the bunch" (read: the only other two) goals from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, in the Community Shield against Chelsea, and Olivier Giroud, against Crystal Palace. With such clinical and decisive goals, Goal have decided to pay our own tribute to Arsene Wenger's new attacking talent... even if the manager acts like he doesn't exist (or needs him). Check out "Own Goal's" beautiful strikers against Crystal Palace and Newcastle. Who says Wenger didn't sign an outfield player this summer? Chai! So "Own Goal" is Arsenal's top striker this season? And I thought Arsenal fans joined in making fun of Man United over own goals recently? Interesting. http://www.goal.com/en-ng/news/4055/main/2015/09/03/15014532/own-goal-snubbed-in-arsenals-goal-of-the-month-competition?ICID=HP_BN_8 cc. Mukina2

boujaye:That is Haruna Lukman, former U-17 captain under late Yemi Tella. Good to see him back among the Eagles. |

luvprince4real:I thought 2nd Niger Bridge was supposed to have been completed before May 29, 2015? I'm just asking a simple question o! |
Freedom of speech must surely be protected. That is not negotiable. However as citizens we must also realize that freedom of speech is not absolute. Otherwise, there would be nothing like slander, or libel, or defamation. Section 39 (1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria provides that: “Every person shall be entitled to freedom of expression, including freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart ideas and information without interference.” However, the right to freedom of expression, in a civilized society is subject to the right of others not to have their reputation injured. Thus, every person has a right to the protection of his good name, reputation and the estimation, which he stands in the society of his or her fellow citizens. Consequently, in Nigeria, whoever utters, publishes, broadcasts, communicates or telecasts anything injurious to the good name, or reputation of another commits both a tort and a criminal offence. Let us as citizens be knowledgeable about our rights and it's limitations. This isn't about anyone trying to muzzle us, but about knowing what is acceptable or not. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse as they say. Even in some foreign countries defamation is a criminal offence. Be guided, if you are a blogger. Get your facts right. Don't just copy and paste. if a report is not substantiated don't help in spreading it for sake of internet hits. http://akintundeesan..com/2015/05/the-law-on-tort-of-defamation-in-nigeria.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defamation |
IsraeliAIRFORCE:With a moniker like yours, it's not gonna happen. Talk to Isreal. |
veraiyke:Barman, please give this guy a bottle of..., wait o, it's too early for that. Some people think criticism of Mikel is about 'beef' or 'hating'. No! It's about the pain we feel knowing his potential and then seeing him play second fiddle to players like Ramirez and Willian simply because he has refused to live up to his potential. And I dare say that Mikel needs to think of leaving Chelsea now if he won't get playing time. Let him learn from players who were undervalued at their club, but became big elsewhere. A certain Paul Pogba and even his returnee teammate Nemanja Matic come to mind. |
safarigirl:I don't think Liverpool sent him there so that people can see him; especially other clubs. It's probably till he can qualify for a work permit. Then they'll send him to a Championship club. |
Yet another Awoniyi thread. Congrats to the boy anyway. |
Okay, we have heard. Please tell Buhari to his face at the next Federal Executive Council meeting. That's better than having some mouth piece do it for you. |
Congrats to Awoniyi. Where is Safarigirl now. Your boo has stepped up o. |
Good one for Awoniyi. Safarigirl come and see your boo o! |
Safarigirl, come and see you boo o! |
Don't know what LVG is up to. Now Chicharito too is gone. Left with Rooney and James Wilson. Oh and of course..., Felliani. ![]() |
Walelavender:You missed my point. |
edwife:Lol. Was that how you felt yesterday? Pele. |
edwife:You have found your voice abi? Hope you saw all your missed calls yesterday? |
joecooper:Lol. You nor well. |
It's official. Swansea is now our bogey team. LVG may have to bench Rooney until he gets his hunger and composure in front of goal back. On to the next jare. |
LadyBoss1:Which mouth una wan get before? A team that hasn't won the league in over 20 years can't "get mouth" |
maum:ah swear, with pleasure. oya call your jazz man now. Make it happen. |
I guess Swansea is now our bogey team. |
xynerise:I tell you. |
edwife:She's alive! Yeye. Bad belle FC |
Dang. Gomis and Ayew, but I warn una before this game o! Una wan spoil my market? |
xynerise:Now you can smile Bro. Mukina, you well so? Change scores now. |
Walelavender:Van Gaal didn't undo the team, Moyes did. Virtually every record we held over these "small" teams were destroyed under him. Man Utd has been demystified. |
chimerase2:Yes, I agree. Xynerise is getting too emotional over a game of footie. Take it easy Bro. It's still just a game. Win, draw or lose, the boys go still collect their fat salaries o. |
xynerise:That's where you are wrong bro. Yes, if you play well you are likely to win, but it is not a guarantee. Again, ask Chelsea. I know we all miss the glory days where we practically strolled to victory, but we need to realise that it may take time to get back to that level. United has been demystified. |
xynerise:And I'm sure you saw yesterday's games. Are Palace and West Ham better than Swansea? The real truth is there are no easy games in the EPL anymore. |
xynerise:Guy, if na play make you stop am o. |
