ifyalways: No need to get yourself worked up. The opinions of nld "boys" dont and wont matter unless the OP limits herself and keep wasting her time on facebook or Nld in search of love.
I go out for weddings and housewarmings in lekki/ikoyi axis every weekend and 80% of the brides/celebrants are single mothers with most times as many as 3 children. The OP only needs to up her game( physical looks, education or career/business), know which occasion to attend and mix with the right crowd or circle, she will meet a very stable , mature man who will marry her and the child and pamper her like a queen. Thanks. Sometimes I get so irritated by the comments I see on NL and then I remember that a lot of them are unexposed kids who have a myopic view of life. I love your positive attitude. I think the advice you have given the op is universal, the way you carry yourself is the way people will treat you. All the op has to do is to up her game and exude confidence. No need to carry around this victim mentality and looking for answers from an irresponsible man. He probably does not know his left from his right. |

Boss13: Women trying to encourage her that she would see a man that would love her and her son. I pity that man. In fact such a man lack self esteem that he is willingly to go after a single mother and start training a child that is not his rather than start his own family afresh. I know some men do this but they are stupid men.
OP go and arrest the idiot and let him pay for his deeds. There is the need to deal with idiotic men who abandon their children So women who take care of other women's kids, what are they? Idiotic too? What is wrong about a man taking care of another man's kid? So if the father is not responsible, the kid should not have fatherly love in his life? We need to do away with this archaic view of paternity. You do not need a biological connection to a kid to be a parent |
Crime › Re: Chinese Couple Threw Away Nigerian Lady’ Goods Failing To $400 Bribe In Thailand by Daisy17: 5:00pm On Mar 10, 2019 |
Asour: I don't know the full details of her legal status nor the legality of her selling at that spot BUT this I know. THERE IS NO OBJECTIVE standard for REASONABLE in business. Every business has its place.
One could become wildly rich/satisfied from selling Meat pie as from selling crude oil(which by the way has a bad reputation in some other parts of the world).
My point: The Nigerian tendency for demeaning a legal business based on the perceived 'status' of what it sells is unhealthy.
The US Business man Howard Schultz became a Wildly successful business man selling 'ordinary' coffee.
The Wrigley Company in the US makes over $5 bn in Revenues by selling 'ordinary' sweet/chewing gum employing over 10000 people. How many Nigerian companies can top that?
If anyone wants to found a 'status' business curing cancer goodluck to him/her. I really hope he/she succeeds for the world. BUT someone selling ordinary 'buns' can be, in Business terms, just as successful as you if not more. please Consider. Very sensible post. Those who are laughing at the lady for selling meat pie have not travelled and experienced life beyond the shores of Nigeria. How did some of the rich men in most societies start off in life? By being humble and starting small. I once worked for a Lebanese businessman who owned a bakery plant. He started off by making pitas bread and knocking on doors. He built a huge clientele and was able to open a bakery. After 20 years in the business, he was bought out by a major food corporation that was looking to diversify into the middle eastern market. He sold his business for millions. I worked as his accountant and I remember that the day of my interview I met him and didn't even know he was the owner. He was covered in flour because there was a problem with one of the machines and he was trying to fix it. It was the plant manager who interviewed me. Why am I telling this story? To show people on this thread that they should stop looking down on people whom they feel are doing menial jobs. Most of the major companies were started by people who did what we consider to be menial. Also meat pie is not cheap. I have seen how much people charge to make meat pies and fish pies for parties and it's not cheap. It can be a lucrative business. Saying all this, I don't agree with the actions of the Nigerian lady. She probably needed a permit to sell the meat pies. The Chinese couple overreacted but I understand their frustration. |

arki: Hv you ever seen a colony, establishment, ship etc without a head? If no, then in every relationship/ marriage God instituted a head which is d man to head the family. If u as a woman goes against d divine ordinance, then there is trouble. My dear, many women don't know d sciences of getting d heart of a man. Some think it's food, sex etc. Wen a woman/lady is submissive to her husband/bf, She has only earned herself d man, cos subconsciously she will control d man without d man knowing. There is nothing that can cage a man to a lady than wen he finds out dat his gf/wife obeys and respects him. Only d intelligent few amongst u pple knws this. Back to d OP, I am begging u in d name of whteva u believe to run for ur life. Dnt ever put up wit such kind of a lady or even talking abt marriage. That's if u like ur life o, cos dat ur gf can neva change, if u trace it well, that is how her either parents behave. U dnt see fire and be petting it. Do u want to die young? Leave d relationship asap, and get ur self a lady dat not only loves u but respects u. Be a man bro and take charge of ur relationship I did a google search and here is a list of the words synonymous to submissive: compliant, yielding, malleable, acquiescent, accommodating, amenable, tractable, manageable, unassertive, non-resisting, passive, obedient, biddable, dutiful, duteous, docile, ductile, pliant, meek, timid, mild, patient, resigned, forbearing, subdued, humble, self-effacing, spiritless, deferential, obsequious, servile, slavish, self-abasing, spineless. Look at the last four words and that is what a typical African male expects from a woman when he says he wants her to be submissive. I had rather be single than have to live with males of such caliber. |

cococandy: You’re a control freak. She’s not your child!
Just listen to yourself and the words you’re saying.
You want to control her You’re correcting her You’re raising your voice at her You get upset that she talks back at you.
Like she’s supposed to keep quiet like a child and listen to you talking condescendingly to her in the name of correction. What are you correcting her about? What makes you think you know more than her and as such are in position to correct her.
You’re just upset that she isn’t accepting of your mansplaining. What normal person looks for who to control?
I hope she sees the signs and leaves you before she ends up in a horrible marriage with someone looking for a subordinate, not a partner.
I wonder whose raising these prideful, egocentric boys who think they can come into a woman’s life and run the show. Oh I know.
GTFOH I 100% agree with everything you have written. African parents need to learn how to raise boys to see women as their partners and their equals. The whole post shows the op is very controlling and someone who sees himself as superior because he's of the male species ( I won't call him a man because he needs to grow up and become one). |

How would like it if that girl pointed you out as a rapist and no body bothered to hear your side of the story?
How do you feel when people claim you did something you didnt do but no one gives you a Chance to talk?
Now read the story again and tell me how it feels to have no say just because a girl who all of use agree are bloody liars is claiming that some guys raped her. You are probably one of the rapists or related to one of the criminals at large. I hope that if you are one of the rapists you get caught as soon as possible and thrown in jail where you belong. Done with this. Have a blessed day Damn that's why so many women are unhappy. Always concerned about things that are not important. How does a sil calling the other 'little' diminish her status as a wife. If I had married my high school boyfriend, I'm sure his older cousin would have called me little X, and I would have had no problem. You seem to be the kind of person who thinks marriage is an achievement. It's not. Develop yourself and people calling you "little" won't affect you because you will know how far you have come in life instead of depending on the title "Mrs " |

That approach is wrong stop westernising everything. Who's her little Anita? That's an insult on a woman especially when their husbands are age mate.
Lola can be 46 but she stooped so low to marry a younger guy close to Anita age so she should mind the way she talks. Don't mention she's trying to be sarcastic here.
Would she take that from another person?? Capital NO from arrogant Lola that I have know for years It happened to me recently. My cousin called me baby X and I had no issue with that. iomoge2: Secondly, all this perfect pix people post are making some people back down. That's why our tread is boring If its yours, no problem. Not taking images from websites This statement above shows why you went investigating Chasers' picture. Not all fingers are equal. Take a picture of well-plated food, that is all that matters. Also, at no time did Chasers claim it was his food. Most of his meals had his logo C4 Kitchen. It would have been a different story if he had added his logo or claimed that he cooked the food. If I say to my friend "Come and have breakfast with me" and I show them a picture of waffles and croissants, does that mean I am implying that I baked the croissants and made the waffles? Furthermore, you insist that he is guilty but you do not state what he is guilty of. He is not the first person to post food that he did not cook. The key issue is whether he said he had cooked the food. Nowhere did he do that, so he is not guilty of your accusations. |

MetaPhysical: When sperm is deposited in a woman's uterus it's design is to fertilize her egg and develop into a foetus that grows in her over a period and is delivered as baby. Undeveloped eggs are eliminated during menstruation, when she ovulates new eggs are produced. There are partially developed eggs that attach to the womb and are not never eliminated out of her body during menses. They never grow and become foetus either. Since the body will not eliminate it through menses and will not grow into baby to be delivered, there needs to be a way to access her body and remove these wastes. They are not hazardous to her health before she reach menopause. After menopause she needs to get them out surgically before they become a health hazard. Someone said up here that the fibroids look like babies. Correct, they are eggs partially germinated long time ago and remained in her, never graduating into full foetus. Stop promoting lies. "Fibroids are abnormal growths that develop in or on the uterus". If you and all the people who liked your post had spent two minutes online, they would have found the definition I quoted, instead of the gibberish you wrote above. |
