Not possible...but if you enter the DS160 number and select the 'retrieve application' option, you may have access to what was previously filled. The only issue is that once you make an alteration to it, the system generates a new DS160 number and the old one is invalid... walexies: |
That's true. Someone shared his/her success story on one of the earlier pages/threads tunyuz: |
Interview or Interview Waiver? You can proactively fill a new DS160 and update the new number on the appointment page... Godson123: |
No, to 2019.. Getting a date before May will be tough considering the backlog they currently have and many people meet the 24 months condition who are yet to get dates… Teminio: |
Check your DS160 confirmation page and see the date the form was filled. If it’s earlier than August 2021, then fill a new one so as to update your travel plans. A new DS160 number will be generated, this should be inputted in your Interview date appointment portal via the “update profile” option… I hope this helps EuniqueBabe: |
Yeah...i'm in that bracket though. I think they want applicants to fill new DS160 forms...if previous one is over 6 months old... Trotter: |
I just got this email from the consulate: Good day, We are now entering the third year of the COVID-19 pandemic which continues to disrupt international travel. This is why we are piloting a new No-Interview Visa Renewal procedure for qualified visa applicants. Before coming to the Consulate, please double-check the following: Before you come for your No-Interview Visa Renewal appointment, please double-check the expiration date of your visa(s). To qualify for this procedure, your visa must have expired in the past 24 months (from the date of appointment) or will expire in the next three months. Every member of your family must meet the criteria individually, including having a visa that meets the expiration requirements. If not, you will not be allowed to submit your application. Because of the many appointment scheduling disruptions caused by the COVID pandemic many of you will have completed your DS-160 over six months ago. For this reason, we ask that you complete a new DS-160 if your current DS-160 is more than six months old. The updated and more accurate information about your personal situation and upcoming travel plans will assist us in avoiding delays in the processing of your visa application. If your DS-160 was completed more than six months ago, please complete a new DS-160 and ensure the new DS-160 number is added to your application profile. We will not be able to process your visa application if you do not submit an updated DS-160 before you submit your passport for the No-Interview Visa Renewal procedure. Children must meet the eligibility criteria individually and their parents must be applying via the No-Interview Visa Renewal procedure at the same time. Alternatively, parents can submit a copy of their valid visa(s) with their child’s application. We cannot accept a minor’s application unless their parents are also applying or they submit photocopies of their parents’ valid visas. Thank you for your cooperation. Sincerely, Help Desk |
That was the condition stated on the email sent to me, and most other people. My earlier appointment was for February 3rd, 2022 but they sent a mail cancelling it and rescheduled it for August 2022...the following day, they now sent this IW email... seir405: |
yes...work experience. She sent her employment letter, confirmation letter and last promotion... Tjaychic: |
Was this at the stage of booking IW submission appointment? if so, then just click on 'update profile' and try to correct the error. If it was in the DS160 form, simply access the old form you submitted and correct the error....although the system will generate a new DS160 number for you after this amendment...print the new page...and input this new number on the interview booking website using the 'update profile' option. I hope this helps BloodyMitch: |
No...standard application. Applied Jan 5...had biometric on January 13...got a NSF on January 26...responded next day and received collection mail on February 7...Visa was dated January 31st. Ynniks1: |
Yes, the second child was listed as a dependant...only not included in the application. I actually told them that the application must not exceed 6-months to the end of her Masters programme...but i'm not sure if that is correct.. mimilyrics: |
Good morning house. A friend just got his visa (he is dependent while wife is the main applicant). They have two kids but only one (the daughter) was included in the application, and will be travelling with them. I want to know when they can apply for the other kid? The wife is going for a one-year programme, by the way (January to December 2022). Thanks in advance |
I think by the time they attend to applicants within the next week or two, the gates will be thrown open again ChrisRocks: |
Many thanks for this response. Please what did the person mean by 'no data collection'? I know they listed the documents to be brought along (DS160 confirmation page, Appointment letter, MRV visa fee receipt, passport and passport photos). Perhaps these documents were just sighted and not collected...(except the international passport and the photographs)... thediva: |
Hello, Please is there anyone that has submitted or is submitting documents this week via the IW window? I got a date for next week Monday, but i'll just like to know how the process is or has been from the early birds. Thanks in advance.. |
Covered in what way? NanaF: |
First confirm if they meet the guidelines...then cancel their existing booking and book a new one...update their profile to LAGOS... Jeromenana: |
Some people were able to book IW appointments between Thursday and Saturday mrsnoname: |
Good morning house, please is it possible for a dependent to get his/her application approved while the main applicant's is pending? |
Please are there people that were able to book IW appointment for next week (February 7-11th)? |
Let me try to answer the questions; 1. You should put in the old DS160 confirmation number on the application portal to access the old details filled...the system will automaticall generate a new DS160 number for you afterwards... then you edit the information and save...this new number will be inputed when you try to book a new interview date (you click on 'update profile' and edit the DS160 confirmation number. 2. Yes, you cancel the existing interview date, then the 'New Interview date' option pops up 3. The documents are: current passport or old passport with expired visa; DS160 confirmation page; interview confirmation letter, 2 passport photographs (5*5 inch dimension); GTB receipt for visa payment 4. I doubt if a 3rd party can submit for them....i know parents can submit for minors...i have no information on 'seniors'... mrsnoname: |
You're very correct... Deedamie: |
Hmmm...how do they ascertain that you are the same owner of the old email? Anyone could try to impersonate you? Just thinking out loud...They could also think you used an agent to do the earlier booking... babs4all: |
My people, please what is meant by 'Original GTB payment receipt...'? For those that paid online and generated the receipt, it's only a printed copy that can be available. What is meant by that phrase "original GTB payment receipt"? Thanks. |
Yes, i selected 'yes' at first...then i went back isArray: |
I've also been able to book a date (February 14). Good luck to everyone |
Two options:1. send an email to the support desk for clarity and assistance. 2. Exercise little patience till enough information is provided on the IW email. It's shrouded in confusion as at now. Although the email stated that those who do not qualify (even as part of a group booking) should ignore and go for the scheduled interview...the problem is how does one cancel the appointment without affecting the other parties? So let's be patient uchetobi: |
I think IW hasn't been thrown open to all yet. It's better you book any available date on the system for now...when it's thrown open, you can then cancel and book IW...you can choose to stay on the sidelines as well Bobority: |
