There's no issue with this. Even COVID messed up people's scheduled travel plans.

Bobority:
Can anyone please help? TIA
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by Dampops(m): 4:59pm On Feb 01, 2022
A number of people have already made contact with the embassy via email...hopefully they will respond between tomorrow and Friday...fingers crossed. Thanks for this.

Somandla:
I don't know if this might help someone out there.

I am South African, our IW started in Nov after travel ban was lifted.

I called call the embassy call center, told them I qualify for IW but can't schedule app as it showed no appointments, they then asked for my Ds160, and asked me to log in , upon logging in there was a page with 3 qualifying questions
E.g
1. has your visa expired in Less than 48months? ( bear in mind our visa validity is 10yrs)

2. Did you capture biometrics at the embassy?

3. Are you applying under the same vis a category?

That's how I was able to get IW letter and scheduled DHL drop off & pick up.

So contact your embassy

Good day,

You are being contacted because you are scheduled for a non-immigrant visa interview on a day between February 1 and October 2022, at the U.S. Consulate General, Lagos, Nigeria. If you meet the criteria on this https://emea01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fustraveldocs.com%2Fng%2Fng-niv-visarenew.asp&data=04%7C01%7C%7C21cde4e547344bd6ea7e08d9e4e46dd8%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C637792492083245731%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=j7JZDPBzdkZmcaDiTsgoy8BC%2FlSMryUysUvPptgkhrk%3D&reserved=0, you may be eligible for an interview waiver (IW).

If you are eligible for Interview Waiver, please login to this https://emea01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ustraveldocs.com%2Fng&data=04%7C01%7C%7C21cde4e547344bd6ea7e08d9e4e46dd8%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C637792492083245731%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=kmLhRgV46Z5e3wbChRsDQxGo60BTU3pDTp%2BvHAXQIzE%3D&reserved=0
to cancel your existing appointment and schedule an IW appointment.
Applicants are required to schedule IW appointments before documents can be dropped off at the US Consulate on the day and time of their appointment.

Sincerely,

Help Desk

nikkygal:
Please can you paste the full contents of the mail you received from the embassy here? Feel free to remove your personal details.

There is a lot of speculation around the interview waiver process and a lot of people are itching to know what's the status and how to go about it.

Thanks.

Hello everyone...I wasn't able to upload pictures on the DS160 form when i submitted it last year...Someone just hinted me that it wouldn't be accepted without a picture at the consulate. Can anyone that had his/her interview shed some light, please?
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by Dampops(m): 8:20pm On Jan 31, 2022
Hi, I got the same email this evening too. That i should cancel my current appointment (August 2022) and book an IW appointment. I chected the interview date page, earliest date is December 2023...Isn't this risky to cancel? Hmmm

7031646386:
Yes, an email came in that same day saying it was rescheduled due to administrative reasons. However, I got an email this evening on interview waiver at the us consulate in Lagos. What does that mean pls?

BA leaves in the night. Even though Medbury didn’t state the sample collection time on the result; just the date alone

giselle237:
if he is coming on sunday. I think he is covered till sunday but for same time. So if he had the test on Thursday 10am the test expires Sunday 10am.
This is from the govt site. Use this example
‘For example, if you travel directly to England on Friday, you can take the test on or after Tuesday and will need to have the negative result available before boarding on Friday’
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Dampops(m): 7:32pm On Jul 30, 2021
Good evening everyone. My cousin is traveling to the UK on Sunday and took his COVID test yesterday Thursday. The government site specifically mentioned “3 days or less to departure date”. He is flying with BA…

However, someone is saying that the rule is 72 hours and that Thursday is not covered. Please can anyone help clarify this?

This is the link to the government website:

Good evening house...I want to ask if I need to go to the biometric centre with any of the documents uploaded on the website. Or I should just go with my passport and checklist alone?

Thanks in advance

I’m not an EE applicant...I’m taking my daughter to school

slushy:
Yes. KLM Nigeria has now issued a circular on the testing. You can get the 4 hours test at the airport. The cost is 28k. They also included a link where you can register before that day or you can also pay at the airport. Also was your PPR approved after 18 March?
TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by Dampops(m): 7:45am On Jan 26, 2021
They are confused as well. It’s a government directive so they have to comply even though most of the countries they operate from don’t do such tests at their airports. They may have to move customers to Air France where convenient. As at yesterday, they said they’re looking at ‘if the test can be done at the airport (in conjunction with one of the private labs).’

slushy:
So where are you supposed to do the test? At the airport? Also is your COPR before or after March 18?

Good day everyone. Please is there anyone that used KLM in the last one week. I’m hearing about an additional Rapid antigen test to be done 4 hours before departure in addition to a negative PCR test done 72 hours before departure.

Anyone with any information on this?

Good evening Nairalanders. I want anyone that has travelled in the last two weeks to Canada with an accompanying family member (spouse or child) to share their POE experience with me. Was their any issue granting entry to the family member?

Thanks

Good morning folks, can a family of 3 quarantine in one room? This question is for families that recently landed in Canada? Will the idea of 3 of us in one room not be rejected?

Kindly share your opinions. Thanks in advance

Sponsoring yourself is perfect as long you have explanations and justification for any lump sum or unusual sums in your account

hopeyemih:
One more question please.

I went through the list of documents needed for application and visa grant.
Unfortunately, i do not have a direct sponsor as my mum is late and my father is retired. But i saved up some money from trading Stocks and Agro-investments.

Can i sponsor myself for the student visa application or is there a way around this?

It’s the timing we need to clarify. How soon after a decision mail is received

PILLY:
That student visa refusal email maybe right. Copied this from gov.uk

If your application is refused

You’ll get a letter or an email explaining why your application was refused.

Your passport will be returned, if it was kept as part of your application.

Your refusal letter will explain if you have the right to either an:

administrative review
immigration decision appeal

NO

Calm down...lol

adeenzo:
Is it possible that anybody has ever gotten any sort of update on their application or update on their visa tracking on a weekend. Or whichever update you will receive will be strictly Monday to Friday?
Thanks

Calm down...you’ve obviously used the correct tracking platform. Your passport is still being processed at IRCC (Abuja). If this status changes, you’ll get a notification via VFS Global auto-message

adeenzo:
Please from where did you track your application? The place I tracked mine this is how it comes out, please view the screenshot below.
Anybody in this stage as well.
Please help!!!

Eschew mischief bro. I asked a question, you can either respond or ignore. I wasn’t the one that asked the question earlier, by the way.

Domistic:
are you expecting a refusal mail? Shebi some other person has explained this to you.
