Looking for info on how can I send passport directly to either Accra or Kenya rather than going through VFS Lagos or Abuja as I heard they can be slow. I'll probably have to send it to Accra if I'm doing it directly because my VO is in Accra. I'd appreciate any help pls. Thanks!

Good morning guys, my question is I did my ECA with WES for study at the time and I used it to create my EE profile (due to lack of info), then I realized I had to upgrade it for immigration purposes (thanks to NL). My dilemma now is that I noticed the reference number now has "IM" included but since I have received ITA I can't edit the reference number in my EE profile, so do I go ahead to apply since they would now have the upgraded ECA report and I would upload the pdf copy of the WES report. Gurus of the house your input will be much appreciated

Did you get help yet? I did! Do you have any ongoing education? If yes, just take it off "study and languages" and place it under personal history. This should resolve the request for transcript. If you don't mind getting a transcript, that's fine. Personally, I have a lot of documents already to submit and am not about to add more to the list (besides I'm not claiming any points for this particular education). Let me know if this works out for you.

Thanks for the update sis, in my case I have to add documents since I graduated from one program and now doing another one...I’ve already paid for my transcript (just $10). It’s the personal history part that I’m trying to be careful with

Also, I noticed the request for education transcripts on the checklist. Could this be because I have an ongoing/incomplete Canadian M.Sc. degree? But then it says "transcripts", which is really weird. I already have education certificates listed on the checklist. This Post ITA checklist just tire me, honestly.

Did you get an answer to this, or you have more info now because we’re in the same situation. I also need clarification

On the issue of work experience, should I put my internship in an accounting firm (10 months) in the personal history section post-ITA even if I didn’t mention it when creating EE profile, since I couldn’t use it to claim points

I think the computer based IELTS is the best option. Big screen help in reading.you can also drag answer and this leave you with few options.

Bad handwriting, you are covered. Counting of words is easier. It helps in terms of punctuation.

For listening, the sound is very clear and you can also drag.

To be honest, people need to consider the CBT option more.

Well it’s a good option if you’re good with computers and fast at typing. CBT for listening is not that easy as there’s no extra time for checking answers, but for the other sections it’s the best option. Anyway I played it safe and did the paper based test...still thanking bros J for my result

Good day my people, so I did the standard WES ECA for study last year, not immigration. My question is, can it still be used for EE application or I need to request for an upgrade and indicate it’s for immigration?

Does anyone have an idea about this...thanks!

I believe studying in Canada gives you an extra 30 points.

You only get the points (15) if you have graduated. In my case I have a graduate diploma and I’m now doing my Mba so I get the 15

You're welcome.

Thanks so much for the reply, actually I meant I have a graduate diploma from a Canadian University in BC and from what I know you don’t need WES evaluation for a degree from Canada. I think I have a convincing reference letter...can I send you a pm??

Good day my people, I have a few questions:

1. I received my WES evaluation mid 2018 without the new WAEC addition requirement, hope it won't reduce my points if I use it for my application? Also a reference
2. My case is a bit different as I am currently in Canada doing my MBA and I have a graduate diploma from here I got in 4 months (it was meant to be a full one year program but i finished the program early, questions is can I use it to claim points?
3. Will I have to get a new medical report or use the one I did for the study permit?
4. For proof of employment, is it compulsory to provide pay slips or can the last 6 months bank statement of salary from my previous work be used, or just forget putting pay slips at all

Journey to Spousal work permit while waiting for my visit visa to accompany my son and spouse to Canada.

Thanks for insight.
Applied online on 9/12/2018
Upfront medicals passed on 17/12/2018
PPR on 18/12/2018
Dropping passport on 19/12/2018.
Documents submitted are:
Proof of relationship (many wedding pictures and landed properties documents bought together )
My companies documents with Tax clearance
School enrolment documents
I applied for a visit visa for my older son, it was rejected that we should apply for a study permit with medicals.
I intend to submit that tomorrow.
In between, I am a pharmacist and I have started the processes of my Canada Pharmacists registration. The documents were also attached.
Thank you all.

How it all began:
My wife was issued Study Permit in Nigeria on 30/10/2018 with my two years old son. I applied for a visit visa on 31/10/2018 To accompany them and give them all necessary support to settle down. We fixed our proposed journey for the 8/12/2018. The visit visa didn't come. I sent cse to London, Lagos will reply. Active review and active processes. When I discovered that it won't come, I accompany them all the same to Istanbul, they proceeded to Canada, I proceeded to New York. While in New York, I applied for SOWP because I already have an outstanding visit visa pending and might be refused for purpose of visit since they left Nigeria as planned. Before I left Nigeria, I sent an email to Canada Visa office in New York if I can apply for SOWP, They gave the go ahead and even sent the VAC office address in New York. I applied immediately. I printed form 1-94 they confirmed my status in the USA and attached it. I am dropping my Passport in the VAC office Moro. I think the Nigeria situations made visa issuance difficult. I have learnt a lot in this journey. To God be the glory. I am writing thing on a phone , Pls pardon any mistakes and lets all use our strategies to achieve our Canada dreams. My Canada dream started this year after the study permit.
Thanks to all the fora of Nairaland. I researched a lot.
I also researched from other international fora. Then I realised that as a Nigerian you can apply for Study permit from USA. But you will need to supply verifiable websites to verify your documents. Like CAC and FIRS website which I did. All the best guys. It's possible

Congrats chief! I sent you a pm. I have a friend that wants to apply for study permit from USA, I want clarification on some things. Thanks

Good morning people, can I copy the job duties under NOC and attach it to my reference letter as what I’m seeing here is exactly tailored to my job responsibilities or I should tweak it a bit to avoid it being disregarded for plagiarism. I’d really appreciate the feedback

Hellloooo everyone! I came across this forum while browsing through the internet for information about visa delays. Although it was months after I submitted, I thought I should share some information with you in hopes that some will be encouraged.

Online Application.

Applied- May 7th
Biometrics Done- May 11th
Medical Request- August 17th
Medical passed- August 23rd
Passport Request- September 18th (The passport request letter is dated September 17th. I sent an email to them in the morning of the 18th and received the passport request after their usual technical update).

*I did upfront medicals which I sent with my application. When I went back to the hospital to get another examination, I was told to send the upfront medical report to CIC as it’s valid for 1 year. I did that on the 20th of August.

*I’m 31 years and applied for a 2nd masters. My 1st masters was done in the UK which I completed in 2012.

*I mentioned nothing of home ties in my SOP as I knew nothing of its importance. I have 2 younger brothers in Canada, 1 currently on study permit and the other applied for work permit which he got on the same day I received my approval.

*I used an agent, I didn't know about this helpful forum until August. Plus the agent was extremely helpful and took a load off me while I worked on other things.

God is faithful in all situations. Despite the study gap, 2nd masters and age as some see it as a barrier, God came through for me. Matthew 19:26 and Luke 1:37. I’m sure this is a miracle!

I still had to submit the right documents though.

My Documents Submitted
• CIC Forms
• Police Clearance
• Admission Letter from TRU (1st semester tuition paid)
• Letter of Recommendation (From volunteer work)
• Letter of Introduction (From full time job)
• Reference Letter (From full time job)
• 5 months Pay Slip (By the way, I earned just above 55k every month)
• Offer of Employment (From full time job)
• Bank Statement (Had a balance of about N185k)
• SOP
• Transcript from 1st degree and Masters
• School Certificates
• NYSC Certificate
• Birth Certificate and my Family's

Sponsor's Documents Submitted
• Affidavit of Sponsorship (My relation)
• Certificate of Registration (His business)
• Letter of Introduction
• Property Document (1 of his office buildings, 1 of his houses)
• Nigerian Bank Statements (£,$ and Naira accounts)

I hope this helps anyone out there. It’s great to have direction, although patience is key during this process.
All the best to everyone.

Congrats man...Is it the MBA program you got in for?

Man it depends on so many factors. Processing time from cac aside, I’ll say two months if it’s a solid application even though mine was processed in less than 5weeks. Good luck!
