Even I understood the Matrix partially. The movie came out 1999 when I was still a boy.
But after seeing the animatrix in 2007 and then watching the movies again, I understood the philosophy very well. Coming from a guy who wholly believe that WW 1984 is a mindfvck, it's not surprising that anything half decent would be a mindfvck to you. Dumb ass. |

hellohgy: This is actually not true.
Shameless will always have more story to tell.
People have never complained of each season rather they are hyped on the next season.
S10 is no disappointment to state the fact. How do you know viewers haven't been complaining about it? I hate it when people make up lies to justify their bias perspective. The show has been on a slow decline since Season 7. Anyone who doesn’t see how the show has turned into a cheap version of what it used to be in every single aspect is lying to themselves. From writing, to cinematography, to even the soundtrack. It’s like watching the same cast in a bad parody of what the show used to be. The show should have ended before more damage could be done, before gay_Jesus, before lesbian_Debbie, before too many dropped plot points and unnecessary plot devices littering season 8, 9 and 10 So there. If Season 11 is more of the same we’ve been getting, which probably will be because all the same writers are back, and John Wells is clueless and doesn’t give a shit about what anyone else thinks, I’d rather pretend the show ended 4 seasons ago - season 7. |

DC must be mad. The film was okay at the beginning but it became a sappy romance movie. The action was little.
The film was too woke and sappy at the end.

It seems Narcos Mexico is a more recent version. No bro. Narcos: Mexico begins in the late 1970s, with season one taking us into 1985. Narcos, meanwhile takes us much further into the timeline. Season one ends in 1992 with Pablo escaping prison, while season two takes us to his death in December 1993. However, past a certain point, the Narcos and Narcos: Mexico timelines begin to run concurrently. |

IngeniousLeez: Cc Elder001 got banned by spambot.
I ain't comfortable with most of it. It depends on the content and Genre and how important I rank it. But most importantly, the availability. For example, very old movies you can only get copies on fz cos of their Gargantuan Library. These big sites and torrents most have very limited range and size of movies, even when you get links to movie some are Dead links, inactive or out of commission. Eg, tfpdl yts ganool 300mb films yify lightdl etc.... In such case fz becomes the BEST bet.
In some cases eg Anime I don't mind 360p. It's decent enough for me, since it doesn't possess expensive VFX to watch. Only 3D Animation flicks then 480p becomes desirable.
Then there are some pics I don't compromise. The BEST or STANDARD quality becomes tenable. It just depends on my wants, needs, preference and availability (got no time for extensive search, the easiest to find is desired.)
THE Sheet_ZONE : Since I know it's gonna be wack, I don't waste MB trying to get best quality. What's the point of this babble |

whitelotus: lol.....Ready Player One is a different movie with a different plot.
The two movies do not even correlate. The only similarity is that they are both movies related to gaming.
Guns Akimbo is dark humour and gore while ready player one is more of a happy action movie. I never said they are similar in plot. Ready Player One wannabe as in the guys behind it crafted it to appeal to the nerd crowd, but quite unlike RPO, it doesn't have any theme, soul, or a pretence of a plot. To put it bluntly, the movie is a mindless, poorly shot, underwhelming action sequence. Whereas Extraction (stupid film too) is all hat and no cattle, Gun Akimbo could boast of neither. |

As for Extraction and The Wrong Missy, not everything has to be a masterpiece. It could just be entertaining. Extraction at least had action scenes going for it, even if it lacked a serious plot. I'm a gamer too, and from my POV, Guns Akimbo is a poorly thought out Ready Player One wannabe. |

Beorn: Bro, this is kinda complicated issue because I don't see you winning this case. I've been on NL long enough to know reports against mods more often than not, leads to nowhere. The one or two times I've been wrongly banned by the mods, I complained to a super mod with evidence and it yielded nothing. I can't even remember what happened anymore, but what I know is that the super mod didn't unban me despite all the evidence I presented. I'm not saying the mod wiping out these posts is wrong or right, just saying I don't see your protest changing anything.
The recent BLM posts which I believed got hidden (I'm not really sure coz I came online to meet hidden posts everywhere and few quoted posts on BLM to indicate the posts hidden might be related to BLM discussions) didn't spring out of the blue, it originated from a Dave Chapelle Netflix special which is a show and therefore falls within the ambit of this thread. When Chappelle's Sticks N Stones debuted sometime in the past, I remember us discussing on it, gaining and sharing knowledge. What now changed? Why were we allowed to discuss topics of jokes in Chappelle's shows in the past on here but suddenly not allowed to discuss BLM topics raised in his recent show? What changed? Doesn't it fall under the jurisdiction of this thread? I personally see no reason why those interested in the topic shouldn't discuss it.
In the past, I've seen topics that are not related to movies being discussed here, some I found interesting, some I didn't. I believe in the flexibility of a thread. One of the reasons this thread was so much fun was our ability to talk about other issues and get help without the reports to the mods. If we'd stuck STRICTLY to topic of this thread, it'd have been an abandoned land a long time. A knowledge or two can be gained in general discussions. I don't see how BLM talks would have stopped anyone discussing a movie. Before now, I can't even remember us debating on BLM issues before on this thread. It's recent happening that shone light on it.
I visit the Sports section threads regularly and they discuss just about anything on those threads; both politics, health, religious issues, etc., and one can gain a lot of knowledge from the topics. The varying range of topics discussed there without the policing of the mods (except when insults are involved or things gets nasty) makes there so much fun. This thread used to be like that, but nowadays, any small thing, posts are reported and what follows is a total wiping of posts deemed not movie/show related.
This is not an attack on Ishilove, and her detractors shouldn't use this paragraph to attack her PLEASE, but I find it unsettling that she had discussed off topic issues in the time past here before and her posts weren't reported, but she confirmed that she reports posts. I remember bringing her computer problem here with Koïce and others helping her out on how best to go about it, even Örnicus decided to help her offline with it if she could bring the computer to him. Those posts weren't reported. We helped her out with one or two advice. I've also seen her discuss topics here not related to movies uncountable times and her posts weren't reported, so why report other people's posts when they are not insulting you? I can understand if it's insulting posts being reported (she has returned back her own fair share of insults in the pasts as well), but when a topic doesn't intrest you, you don't have to report it. It's only a matter of time before topics that does intrest you would be raised. I'm not a comic person and usually don't discuss or partake in comics topics, but I don't report it. I wait till a topic that interests me springs up and I learn or engage in it.
The policing of this thread in recent times is too much. Let's allow for some flexibility. Knowlege is limitless, we all learn everyday.

homesteady: Production should be entirely local, including the cast and all. It will also put out more Nigerian content to the world. It's a good deal for Nollywood.
Just last month, a South African original series was released and it was No. 1 in many countries. Now many people have developed an interest for S.A movies. They have a horror movie coming up soon and the anticipation is high because of the success of that series. You're overlooking one very important aspect of filmmaking... film studio facility. I don't think Nollywood has a state-of-the-art movie studio. I really don't believe it's conceivable to shoot an expensive Netflix-funded film with all the trappings of 21 century filmmaking, in Nigeria. Perhaps, scenery photography will take place locally, but everything else will be moved to a country with a modern, and fully equipped film studio facility. ^^ Unless you want the usually unappealing cinematography synonymous with Nollywood. |

It's a great deal for Mo Abudu, Wole Soyinka and Lola Shoneyin. Not so much for Nollywood.
Netflix will probably do a few scenery shooting in Nigeria, then promptly move the development, pre-production, production, and post-production to some studio in England. Furthermore, due to studio location, Netflix will probably end up casting 95% non-Nigerian actors to play Nigerian characters. |
