SSIPON:I said in Paul’s day, God has been resting from his creative works for 4,000years. In our day, that’s 6,000years. Again, can you show me where I said the earth was 6,000years? |
SSIPON:Blood transfusion and bloodless medicine, which is better sir? Where are your statistics? Uncle, people die needlessly everyday. Somebody somewhere said he does not want to so-so and so to be part of his medical treatment for reasons best known to him, you on the other hand branded him part of a “cult”. You are definitely a wise person. No cap. |
Eriokanmi:Can you debunk 1Corinthians 13:8? The Bible already said that in our days, many as in many people will find falsehood to be more plausible. 2Timothy 4:3 |
SSIPON:Where did I ever say that the earth was 6,000years old? Can you show me where I said that please? |
SSIPON:Blood transfusion is not safe that’s why God’s Word said we should avoid intake. Genesis 9:4, Leviticus 17:11, Acts 15:29 Medical practitioners agree that the future of bloodless medicine and surgery is certain. It results in faster recovery, lower morbidity, lower mortality, shorter hospital stay, lower cost and better patient (and physician) satisfaction.—https://www.medstarbloodless.org/bloodless-medicine-and-surgery |
SSIPON:Even God was on what? Was it God who told Jacob what to do at Genesis 30:37-39 or was that was he was doing on his own initiative? Why did God later correct his thinking in Genesis 31:10-12? |
RuMiRgO1stSon:“God’s rest” does not imply a single day like has been said already. Even Paul mentioned that “God’s rest” was still ongoing and at that time, some 4,000years had passed. Hebrews 4:1-5 |
SSIPON:I am one of Jehovah’s Witnesses so if you refer to my people as a “cultish” group, that’s just your own opinion and not necessarily a fact. You failed to debunk what the reference said regarding the subject so you hurriedly rushed to declare us a “cultish” group. Lol strawman at its best. |
SSIPON:Should we focus only on Genesis 30:37-39 and leave out Genesis 31:10-12 where Jacob was given further enlightenment about what REALLY took place? |
SSIPON:The God of the Bible did not become dormant and cease working. John 5:17 The seventh day which kick-started his rest refers to the cessation of his work of physical creation respecting the earth. Genesis 2:2-4 |
SSIPON:In his dream Jacob learned that certain principles of genetics, and not the sticks, were responsible for his success. Whereas Jacob was tending only solid-colored animals, yet the vision revealed that the male goats were striped, speckled, and spotty. How could this be? Apparently they were hybrids even though of uniform color, the result of crossbreeding in Laban’s flock before Jacob began being paid. So certain of these animals carried in their reproductive cells the hereditary factors for spotting and speckling future generations, according to the laws of heredity discovered by Gregor Mendel in the 19th century.—Ge 31:10-12.—Insight on the Scriptures, “Jacob”, published by Jehovah’s Witnesses. |
SSIPON:Okay so the word “renowned” is what you picked from my entire post? My guy it’s common knowledge already amongst many scientists that rabbits/hares have been observed to reingest food after some time. So try again. |
RuMiRgO1stSon:Yes. |
SSIPON:Leviticus 11:13 “These are detestable things for you among winged creatures that you are not to eat, because they are detestable for you: the eagle, vulture, osprey,”—International Standard Version “‘These are the flying creatures that you are to loathe; they should not be eaten, for they are loathsome: the eagle, the osprey, the black vulture”—New World Translation Are bats winged creatures that fly or not? What you’re asserting is only an issue of translation, sir. Try again. |
SSIPON:Even a renowned biologist, Ivan Sanderson agrees with what the Bible says on that account because from his own observation, hares/rabbits re-eat their semi-digested food after excretion. Try again. |
SSIPON:The Middle Eastern men did not understand genetics, yet they wrote that death begun with one man and spread to other men since then. Romans 5:12, 1Corinthians 15:21,22 The Middle Eastern men even wrote that Absalom was a very handsome man in his time(2Samuel 14:25) which shows that he inherited the genes from his father, David who was also described as a handsome man in this days. 1Samuel 16:12 And yet they don’t understand genetics? Yeah, right. |
SSIPON:Are you trying to make some point here that I’m not seeing? |
SSIPON:Okay so please name ANY animal that was mentioned in the creation account of Genesis 1&2, let’s see how bright you are. I was thinking you would come at me with something solid, as some other atheists have yet this is all you have to say. Pathetic. |
Eriokanmi:Relax. These men have nothing to do with God or the Bible and I can prove it. The Bible says that the gift of prophecy has ceased already since the 1st century(1Corinthians 13:8.) yet we have these men doing exactly what Jesus foretold false prophets would do? Matthew 7:15, 24:24 |
SSIPON:In your opinion, it is. To me it’s a fact. |
RuMiRgO1stSon:Wasn’t your earlier post centered around how Moses was able to record the disclosure of the luminaries(sun and moon) without giving consideration to the said luminaries? That’s why I said that “day” has several meanings in the Bible. |
This one na anywhere belle face type of “prophet”. Before now, how many of them foresee the one wey just occur? Work don start again for these people na. |
RuMiRgO1stSon:Good question, OP. First, it’s worthy to note that the word “day” in the Bible can convey different meanings i.e. it can span through unspecified periods of time so it’s not always true that “day” means a 24hour cycle during which the sun rises and sets. For example, a thousand years is like a day from God’s viewpoint(Psalm 90:4, 2Peter 3:8.) and the Bible also mentions the day of the LORD(Jehovah) which is most definitely not a 24hour cycle because a significant number of events take place during that epoch. Zephaniah 1:14, 1Thessalonians 5:2 So tailoring what we’ve understood now to the account of Genesis, it is therefore safe to conclude that the “day” represents each creative epoch which spans through unspecified periods of time. |
Trinity is nothing but a social construct in which all of its adherents have still not even found a fitting & acceptable definition for it so they remain in a puddle of confusion. See what Hebrews 5:7 has to say about this: “Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared”—King James Version “In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.”—English Standard Version “While also he was clothed in the flesh, he offered prayers, supplications, strong shouting and tears to him who was able to give him life from death, and he was obeyed.”—Aramaic Bible in Modern English Does not the bolded words in the above Scripture suggest that at some point, Jesus ceased being a fleshly man? Food for thought for them trinitarian boys. |
MaxInDHouse:My brother, it’s really funny when you imagine it. This man in question keeps on calling us “Demon-Witnesses” but in some way, he still seeks approval from us? Reminds me of this scenario with Jesus and the Pharisees. The latter once called Jesus an agent of Satan(Matthew 12:24) and even openly said concerning Jesus: “This man is NOT from God”. John 9:16 But they wanted this man whom they called an agent of Beelzebub/Satan to agree with their doctrines? Matthew 15:2 I wonder if he/she has ever sat down one day and compared his daddy as to whether he mirrors either Jesus or the Pharisees? Does his daddy like public attention and being called high-sounding titles such as “Reverend”, “Daddy” etc like the Pharisees(Matthew 23:6,7) or does he behave like Jesus who was humble enough to go to such a length as doing a slave’s job? John 13:13-15 |
MaxInDHouse:Reminds me of what our CO told us last week during his visit: “Trouble is everywhere, if you look for it you’ll find it.” So surely, we are to mind our business(1Thessalonians 4:11, 1Peter 4:15) because wahala dey like bicycle, e no dey hard to start. |
MaxInDHouse:I believe Jehovah’s Witnesses can disagree with others and still coexist peacefully with them because we are supposed to be “peaceable with ALL men” and “honour ALL sorts of men” irregardless of race, religion, social, economic background. Romans 12:18, 1Peter 2:17 So who really is the extremist/fanatic here when they want to coerce Witnesses into accepting their own opinions/standards by all means even if it means calling us degrading names? Have they sat down to think about this? My brother, remember that we are living for Jehovah and not for any man(Romans 14:8, Ephesians 6:7) so if those in the world should hate us for our stand, we are not surprised(John 15:18-20, 1John 3:13) but we are sure that we have Jehovah’s approval. Proverbs 27:11 |
haddeylium:Really my brother, of what use is knowing a 1,001 Scriptures if it doesn’t affect the person’s thoughts and actions? Joshua 1:8, Psalm 40:8 PeaceJoyLove thought that the Witnesses are doing it for fun or spite or arguments but really they are allowing God’s Word to be their lamp(guide) to the path of righteousness. Psalm 119:105 |
ChristisGod:And who are you again? |
OP, you keep badgering Daniel 4:17 everywhere as if you really understand what the Scripture means. God definitely rules in the affairs of men but NOT all men because not everyone is subjecting themselves to his authority. “God-rule” is known as Theocracy which puts Jehovah as the Universal Head, before Jesus his Son as head over the congregation of God’s people(Ephesians 1:22) so the “men” whom God is ruling are those in the congregation who are doing his will. Matthew 12:49-50, Luke 11:28 As for the rest of the men who reject God’s rule, they’ve invented all sorts of governments that go contrary to God’s way of ruling. That’s why you have democracy, monarchy, communism, oligarchy—forms of governments that span across different nations and empires. But God’s Word says that soon his own Kingdom will demolish and completely extinguish all those worthless forms of governments(Daniel 2:44) that do nothing but bring pain and suffering to mankind(Ecclesiastes 8:9, Revelation 11:18) but for now he is tolerating them to have their way over the earth. Romans 13:1-2 That’s why Jesus had nothing to do with the earthly kingdoms/governments in his day(John 6:15) because their source of ruling is from Satan the Devil(Luke 4:6, John 12:31) and that his own Kingdom was no part of this world. John 18:36 So if you can’t take Jesus’ word for it, I have no further words for you. Perhaps you’re among those looting national treasury or benefiting from those who are so you want to deceive yourself that God is the one in charge while you commit dastardly deeds and you’re very upset that someone is calling you out and telling you that you’re operating under Satan’s authority. Revelation 12:9 I have one question for you though. If the governments of the earth are controlled by God, why would the “kings of the earth” and high-ranking men want to fight the Lamb, Jesus Christ? Revelation 16:14-16, 17:14, 19:15-21 Does that make any sense to you? |
MaxInDHouse:Okay so he thought it’s just automatic or by mouth that the Witnesses can handle the Scriptures effectively? He has not even met the very experienced speakers in the organization(if you know what I mean), he’ll be astonished just like the Jewish religious leaders that ordinary men with no position of authority in the society can be that outspoken. Acts 4:13 My brother, if it’s not the outworkings of God’s holy spirit then I don’t know what else it could be. Micah 3:8a |

How can it be so when we know that darkness always form in the absence of light!
