What so amazing about this is how you just keep jumping my point
So you mean John 1:12-13 was about After millennial rule of Christ and not people who DID RECEIVE HIM as scripture says?
Of course, I know all Jws are children of wrath because they belong to their father the Devil
And the born again also are still children of wrath for now
That was the reason I quoted that Matt 5 to show you that the criteria of inherit earth was to be MEEK. Do you say those who will rule with Jesus aren't MEEK?
You’re not making any point. I literally told you that Jehovah will have adopted spirit sons in heaven(Romans 8:16) provided they remain faithful to death(Hebrews 3:14) and human sons and daughters on earth(Romans 8:21) provided they remain faithful after the millennial rule of Christ. Revelation 20:1-3

This is my response to Mal 3 to the person you quoted. Read it well then you can respond base on my view.
After Jesus was resurrected to heaven, why do we read in Acts 3:13(NKJV) that he was still being called a Servant? Or is Jesus still a man in heaven?
Christianity EtcRe: Bible Expert Finally Proves Earth Is Just 6000 Years Old (Photos) by DappaD: 8:47pm On Jun 09, 2021
The earth cannot even be 6,000years old because the earth existed long before the creation process began to take place concerning things on earth. Psalm 102:25
Bible chronology and reliable secular calendar reveal that it is mankind’s existence that has been for 6,000years+ and not the earth’s.

He will get you tired with his jumbo jumbo wink
First, he asserted that the in the whole book of Malachi, none referred to Jesus as the Messiah
I show him the send messenger in the b part.
He came up with a story of Elijah and then Jesus but not as messenger per say wink
wahala no too muchwink
Ha! It’s obvious Malachi 3:1 is referring not to one but two distinct persons so hupernikao must be mixing things up. For instance, which covenant did John the Baptist establish? Was it not Jesus Christ who came as a result of the Abrahamic covenant(Luke 1:72) and later became the mediator of the new covenant? Luke 22:28-30, 1Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 9:15

Was it not the messenger of the covenant who Jehovah said would cleanse the temple on his arrival? Malachi 3:2-4
Which temple did John the Baptist cleanse on his arrival? Wasn’t he commissioned to only prepare the hearts of the Jews? Malachi 4:5,6; Luke 1:17, 3:4-6
Was it not Jesus who cleansed the temple at least 2times while on earth? Matthew 21:12, John 2:13-16
I really don’t think hupernikao is concerned about the facts here even if you show from the Scriptures how issues surrounding the topic are related. What was he saying concerning Isaiah 42:1?

haddeylium:
You're hungry for knowledge, but you need to have the right attitude to learn.
To your question.
Festofost, it is not uncommon that people have more than a personal name in the Bible.
Only the names of two of God’s faithful angels (Malak:Messenger) appear in the Bible, Michael, and Gabriel others who appeared as messengers to men declined to give their names when asked.
While those two angels are mentioned by name, only Michael, is called the Archangel. (Judges 13:18), (Genesis 32:29)
© Apart from Michael, No Archangel is mentioned in the Bible. And the term Archangel was never used in plural to show shows that there only exist only An Archangel.
Michael is described as “the” archangel, implying that he alone bears that designation. So, Jehovah has delegated only one chief angel with authority over the other angels.
©Another individual spoken as having angels subject to his command is Jesus Christ. (Matthew 13:41wink
The apostle Paul spoke of “the Lord Jesus” and “his” powerful angels(Messenger).
But you who suffer tribulation will be given relief along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels (2 Thess1:7 )
Jesus is not just Angel but an Archangel in heaven.

The apostle Paul prophesied:
“The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first.” (1 Thes 4:16)
Jesus here, is being described as God’s Messianic King and it says he speaks with “an archangel’s voice.”
Simple and straight.
You might want to say he borrowed the 'Archangel's voice'

The Bible has already made it clear that it's Jesus' voice of command that will resurrect the dead
The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.”—Joh 5:26-29.
Just as how 'A roar' belongs to 'A lion' same way an 'Archangel's voice' belongs to 'Archangel'.
The Scriptures point to the resurrected Jesus Christ as the chief of all angels—Michael the archangel.
Thank you
I for one don’t think hupernikao is concerned with whether Jesus is an archangel or not. To him, Jesus can be anything you want but just agree with him that he is God or else he writes long epistles quoting you mercilessly. Just let him explain, if Jesus is God, why he would be using an archangel’s voice to raise the dead as if God doesn’t have his own voice? Isaiah 6:8

Aren’t you formerly hoopernikao the man who was disturbing my mentions around this time last year because I said Jesus was the archangel Michael? Maybe haddeylium was right—when people hear the word ‘angel’, they think it refers to weak and frail babies with cute wings and all LOL. One nairalander once, by the name of Ima.ge123 even claimed that humans were stronger than angels because of that sort of misguided reasoning you also have. 2Peter 2:11

hupernikao:

Your Bible interpretation skill needs to be adjusted. The way you have been pointing to scriptures and explain them with your imagination is dangerous to the inspired book
.
You were firstly seeing Jesus in Mal 3 to Isa 42, I corrected you. I hope that one is clear..
Are you saying that Jesus is NOT the person referred to in Malachi 3:1b and Isaiah 42:1?

Now you moved to Job 2:1 and seeing Jesus there again. To what end?
This is Job 2:1
Job 2:1- Afterward the day came when the sons of the true God entered to take their station before Jehovah
Where exactly do you see Jesus here. It's obvious you are feeding from the self revelation people who will always ignore biblical text and insert their imaginations that leads to confusion.
You need to quit imagining and see the Bible text well. Jesus doesn't exist in Job 2,its not written, it's not possible.

Remember my first post to you, that should be a good guide for your interpretation
Read it again >>> when ever you say Jesus, you are refering to a man born of man. That is him name in humanity, that is flesh and blood. You aren't refering to a spirit.
Seeing Jesus gathering in book of Job is a your imagination. Allow the scriptures to speak for itself.Job told you those who gathered.
Well, Jesus exists in Job 2:1 because he was a Son of God before he was sent to the earth. John 3:16
Because it is either he wasn’t there or he never had a prehuman existence which would be a violation of Micah 5:2 anyway.

Sons of God, a language used for angels in OT. And God.
I saw how you stylishly added God to the equation because you know somebody will come at you with Jesus being the Son of God LOL. So where did God refer to himself as the son of himself in the Bible please?

Jesus (human) was born thousands of years after this events. Stop overthinking in other to drive a false explanation of Jesus as angel. He wasn't there, it was GOD that was there. GOD, notice that emphasis.
So it’s either Jesus did not have a prehuman existence which is a violation of Micah 5:2, John 8:23 or maybe he did have a prehuman existence, but he wasn’t the Son of God while in heaven?

So, I will advise you.
You need to stop dropping texts of scriptures you never know or read properly. All your texts are totally out of the authors intention but I don't want to assume they are deliberate. I want to believe it's a sign of not properly studying God's word.
So please, start reading bible as it is inspired, not as you are inspired. This is how you will find a true interpretation.
Selah grin grin
I would have said I expected better from you as per the double standards but I guess I would be wrong because for a man basing his understanding of the nature of God from what pagans gathered around to discuss in the council of Nicea says a lot about someone telling another to treat God’s word as inspired.

Yes and the scripture confirmed that ALL BELIEVERS receive the new birth.
John 1:12-13 says "However, to all who did receive him, he gave authority to become God’s children, because they were exercising faith in his name." NWT
How will they be TRANSFORMED? Are they not BORN AGAIN OR REBIRTH anymore?
Funny you, or you forgot EVERYONE will be RESURRECTED.
Well, you have right to believe what you want but not what the scripture says because the window is opened to "To ALL WHO DID RECEIVE HIM"
So, it can't be limited to 144,000 because millions did receive him.
Matt 5:5 says "Blessed are the meek and gentle—they will inherit the earth."
The people Jesus said will INHERIT the earth are THE MEEK, are you saying those who'll have heavenly inheritance are not MEEK & GENTLE?
But the fact still remains that, "TO ALL WHO DID RECEIVE HIM" they are BORN AGAIN.
Question!
Who will born those who have their inheritance on earth?
Yes, after the millennial rule of Christ, all humans living on earth would be completely free from sin(Revelation 22:1,2) and hence be called Jehovah’s sons and daughters. Romans 8:21
But for now, we’re still children of wrath(Romans 5:12) until we pass the final test. Revelation 20:1-3

My question is still pending since two days now:
DappaD:

The question is, will those whom Jesus said would have their inheritance on earth, need to be born again? Matthew 5:5
If yes, of what use will it be since Revelation 21:3 says that it is mankind(flesh and blood) that will inherit the blessings listed in Revelation 21:4?

You gave Col.1:15-16 as evidence that Jesus Christ is the firstborn of God's creation , good and correct .
What about the succeeding verses which told you that Jesus Christ created all things ?
Colossians 1:15-17 KJV
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
[16] For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
[17] And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Since humans are creations of God , it means humans are among ALL THINGS CREATED by Jesus Christ.
And a Creator is known as God. This makes Jesus Christ a God .
A much better translation of Colossians 1:17 renders it as “through”(Greek: δι) although “by” is a synonym of “through”, the meaning can become ambiguous if not properly rendered. For example, if I go through somebody to get to another person, isn’t there that middleman who made it possible? If things were created through(by means of) Jesus, doesn’t that suggest that Jesus is the agency through which it occurred and that he is not the mastermind of Creation?
If you hire workers from Julius Berger to do construction work for you, who do you think is the mastermind behind that construction project, you or Julius Berger? In whose name would the said project be documented as?

John 1:1-3 KJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
I thought this Bible verse has been deliberated on extensively. Even Jesus himself said that humans are called Gods(John 10:34-35) yet this doesn’t mean they’re equal to the Almighty God(John 17:3) Even Jesus himself agreed that he has a God(John 20:17) yet you say he is still the Almighty God, how?

Jesus was in the beginning with God and he created all things by the instructions from God the Father.

Genesis 1:26 KJV
And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. This means two Heavenly powers working together as one were responsible for our Creation.
THE ONE WHO SAID '' LET US '' IS GOD THE FATHER GIVING INSTRUCTION TO GOD THE SON IN THE ACCOUNT OF OUR CREATION IN THE BIBLE VERSE ABOVE.
You already answered yourself with the highlighted. Therefore they cannot be the same person if one is ordering the other one around. Psalm 110:1

The point is, does the TERM Born Again has different meanings?
This is so sweet, are ALL believers not BORN OF WATER and Spirit?
Born again is the regenerated or rebirth that ANYONE who accepts Christ will experience as John 1:12-13 put it .
12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. 13 They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. NLT
12 However, to all who did receive him, he gave authority to become God’s children,+ because they were exercising faith in his name.+ 13 And they were born, not from blood or from a fleshly will or from man’s will, but from God. NWT
Now, the question is, do you exercise faith in him?
Those who receive the “new birth” from God have their inheritance in the spiritual heavens(1Peter 1:3,4) since they cannot take their fleshly bodies to heaven(1Corinthians 15:50), they will need to be transformed to become spirit beings(John 3:6) & I strongly believe that those who have this inheritance will number a total of 144,000. Revelation 7:1-3, 14:1-5
The question is, will those whom Jesus said would have their inheritance on earth, need to be born again? Matthew 5:5
If yes, of what use will it be since Revelation 21:3 says that it is mankind(flesh and blood) that will inherit the blessings listed in Revelation 21:4?

sagenaija:
My random observations:
1. The JW guys here, and their organisation, since they represent their organisation's views, seem to create an added picture to Bible passages.
For example, on "those who practice vile things...." one of them said:
First, nothing in that verse say all these things stated in that explanation. Second, Isaiah 65 never said it is those RESURRECTED that the 100 years statement applies to.
What I see is their reading meanings into these passage to make it conform to their organisation's position. It would have been helpful if clear passages agreeing with their stated positions were provided.
On Rev. 13:8; even if the better translation is "from" it still means that their names had a PRIOR recording. So, it is not just enough to say that so and so is a better rendition, it is to show how that better translation applies.
The “clear passages” that support our position are Romans 6:7,23. Talking about the unrighteous person(not the wicked) who has died will not have his sins held up against him during the resurrection. Acts 24:15
The thief beside Jesus on the stake would not have his sins held up against him when he is resurrected in Paradise. Luke 23:43
That’s why there needs to be added information for John 5:29.

I told the OP that if everybody used the approach of literally interpreting each single verse without considering other scriptures, then trouble will burst because then the Bible will appear to contradict itself and I was right. If some before they were even born had their names either imprinted in or blotted out of the book of life, can you explain the concept of free will? Joshua 24:15, 1Kings 18:21
Why would anyone have to choose to exercise faith in Jesus and do God’s will if before he was born, he finds out his name will never be in the book of life? Does that make sense to you? Added information is therefore needed to understand the Revelation 13:8 which you quoted.

Out of all the religious groups claiming Christians he is able to single out just one for questioning over how they will Interpret the scripture for him, even his own Church ECWA means nothing to him when it comes to the interpretation of scriptures, all other religions he knew quite well their interpretation has no pedigree yet he wants to argue with the one and only group he could sense that their interpretation is taken to all the corners of the earth!
That's why i quickly reminded him what he said about arguments because i'm sure he will pick up arguments once the interpretation doesn't go well with him.
But why in the first place did he single out JWs?
What happens to all other religions around him?
After all he claims they also have doctrines so why can't he throw the same question to them?

I understand you well.
Your interpretations are in harmony with your organisations position.
It doesn't mean that it makes sense to me with respect to the scripture in question.
It is possible for a class to chorus an answer different from what the text really says.
Thanks so much for obliging me your answers. I fully understand your interpretation of the text (it may be different from mine: but that's not the point)
Thank you
Just negodu this man. You opened this thread to ask how JWs would interprete the Scripture in question. It was thoroughly deliberated on. Then you came forward with the highlighted as what—subtle sarcasm? See, John 5:29 is a just a derivation of Daniel 12:2 which can be interpreted in several ways too. We do not just come to abrupt conclusions before making Scriptural findings so if you choose to focus only on John 5:29 without considering other Scriptures that can explain it, then fine the choice is up to you.

The only thing here is, if everybody adopted the same view as you do i.e. literally interpreting the text as it is(as fundamentalists do) then I assure you that many people would find the Bible to be contradictory. That’s the reason why Scripture has to interpret Scripture for it to make sense—for the dots to be connected. But like I said, the choice is up to you to decide what you want for yourself as no one will coerce you into believing what you do not want to. Jehovah’s Witnesses themselves also have a choice to convince themselves that their interpretation is truth. Romans 12:2, 1Thessalonians 5:21
Christianity EtcRe: Jehovah's Witnesses: How Do We Interpret This Scripture? by DappaD: 12:20pm On Jun 02, 2021
I already mentioned to you earlier that there’s a difference between the unrighteous person and a wicked person from God’s standpoint.

The wicked person engaged in all sorts which you mentioned:
shadeyinka:
Synonyms for vile things include: abominable things, morally despicable, abhorrent, foul, repulsive, disgusting....a vile person is worse than a bad person.
Therefore, the ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ would not be applied in their case for them to be resurrected in the first place. Numbers 35:31

Meanwhile, the unrighteous person did not come in contact with Jehovah’s people while on earth but he allowed his conscience to guide him as it fit him(Romans 2:14-15) even though he may have committed minor sins and offenses, once he has died, he would be acquitted from his sin and it wouldn’t be held against him(Romans 6:7) since it is not the kind that incurs death, unlike the wicked person. 1John 5:16-17
That’s why the narrative you’re trying to paint doesn’t sound palatable if you think about it.

This is the point MaxInDHouse was trying to pass across which you missed:
MaxInDHouse:

The vile things here is not before they died but after 1,000 years of their resurrection and they went back to allow Satan trick them again into doing vile things! smiley
So those who are the unrighteous are not judged based on their past deeds, since they have already paid off their sins with death. Romans 6:23
Those who are judged as practicing vile things did so after the millennial rule of Jesus. Revelation 20:7-9
That’s the point that I’ve been trying to pass. Period.

OP, Jehovah is the only One who can judge those outside his organization(1Corinthians 5:13) so while we don’t know all of the criterion used in judging who the unrighteous persons are, there are however a few things we can derive from the Scriptures to guide our reasoning. Note that there is a difference between the unrighteous and wicked.

All human beings from Adam til now were gifted with a conscience. An inner sense of right and wrong.

Those who used their conscience in the way it was given them (though it wasn’t trained by God’s standards) and didn’t come in contact with God’s people are excused by their conscience (Romans 2:15) are the unrighteous who will be resurrected alongside the righteous. Acts 24:15

Those who used their conscience the wrong way and even rendered it dead in the process by doing all sorts of abominable things that their conscience wouldn’t normally let them do are accused by their conscience (Romans 2:15) and are the wicked who will not be resurrected e.g. Adam, Eve, Cain, Nimrod etc. Proverbs 10:7b

As for John 5:29, it’s simply a time period during Judgment Day(which is during the millennium). Jesus was talking in retrospect i.e. describing the events from the beginning to the end in one sentence because that’s what Jehovah his Father is also known for. Isaiah 46:10
Those who resist Satan’s attacks at the end of the millennium will forever have their names imprinted in the book of life. Revelation 20:12
Those who choose to be misled by Satan into practicing vile things at the end of the millennium will be judged adversely. Revelation 20:15

Thank you for ignoring the point I made earlier. Next time you’d know better than misapplying Romans 13:1.

enilove:
When did God decide to bring his kingdom to pass in this world?
Was it not since Adam and Eve fell into sin of disobedience by consuming the forbidden fruit?
Did that stop God from installing kings and righteous people to rule Israel ?
“Let your Kingdom come” was a statement made by Jesus more than 4,000years after Adam and Eve sinned. Matthew 6:10

Remember that it was not God’s plan initially for his people to have any visible human king over them(Deuteronomy 17:14) because those kings would demand a lot from them to the point that it may even lead to oppression(1Samuel 8:11-18) but God allowed them anyway because it did not conflict with his purpose. God’s chosen kings on earth were from Saul to Zedekiah and then God made a very interesting statement at Ezekiel 21:26-27 regarding Zedekiah and someone else after him.
“This is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah says: ‘Remove the turban, and take off the crown. This will not remain the same. Raise up the low one, and bring low the high one. A ruin, a ruin, a ruin I will make it. And it will not belong to anyone until the one who has the legal right comes, and I will give it to him”

Zedekiah was to be dethroned and someone else who has the legal right after him would sit on God’s throne and that person is none other than Jesus Christ. Daniel 7:13-14, Luke 1:31-33
Meaning that after Zedekiah is Jesus Christ only and none other so anybody today who feels God chose him to lead a particular nation in today’s world is only deceiving himself and those who would choose to believe him because his authority is actually from Satan the Devil. Luke 4:6

You are wrong.
Romans 13:1-2 KJV
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
[2] Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
You are expected to play your role as a Christian wherever you find yourself. You must contribute your portion to better this life.
Jesus came to take away the control of the world from the hand of Satan. This was why Satan tried to tempt him.
This world is doomed for destruction but the assignment of Jesus is to save as many souls as possible.
Satan is ruling or directing the affairs of this world through human agents who are loyal to him.
Y’know there’s such a thing as misapplication of Scripture. Yes, Christians are to be subject to the government but if for example, the government said you should renounce your faith in God and that they want the nation to be built on Marxism and socialism? Would you remain subject to them then? That’s where Acts 5:29 comes in.

The reason why I replied to your comment was because in one of your topics here on NL, you made mention about the government implementing NIN, BVN and other biometric identification techniques and you even tried to tie it to Revelation 13:17 even though there was no relation because the book of Revelation was written in signs. Revelation 1:1
But that’s by the way.

My point is, the reason for the government implementing those systems is so as to organize a national database of the citizens and also to curb a lot of inconsistencies and fraud. It’s the same way Joseph the adoptive father of Jesus took Mary to get registered under the reign of Caesar(Luke 2:1-5) and yet you never hear that it was connected to some conspiracy. But here you are claiming that registering NIN and BVN is wrong? So how can you correlate what you said to the Romans 13:1 you’ve been quoting up and down?

But the will of God is for Christians to take their rightful position as rulers so as to direct the affairs of this world in way that will hinder Satan from harvesting more souls for destructions.
Can you help us find where the highlighted is found in the Bible? According to Jesus himself, the will of God is for God’s Kingdom to take control of the earth(Matthew 6:10) so where are you getting the highlighted from? Moreover, Jesus said his followers would be no part of the world(John 17:14-16) so how can you direct the affairs of something that you are NOT supposed to be part of in the first place?

While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
1 Thessalonians 5:3 NIV
You always stop at hopelessness. This is my point. It is that war you always see. A good christian does not say there is peace everywhere, but he doesnt stop at war and turbulence like you. I will explain further
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.
1 Timothy 4:1 NIV
You are the spirits and demons teaching here. Aka demonic witnesses. This is the verse I got the name from. Hallelujah my God has shown you at last.
The third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.
Revelation 16:4 NIV
What is the relevance of this verse? I keep saying you quote rubbish many times. If there is relevance
why dont you explain it? Just quoting rubbish

FURTHER EXPLANATION ON PEACE
But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:4 , 6 - 9 , 11 NIV
You stopped at no peace (hopelessness), but the bible pressed forward to give us hope in this world. Not after we died, but there is hope now. In this passage you quoted only lack of peace, yhe Hope's are: Faith and Love (breastplates), and then HOPE of Salavation (helmet). The word HOPE is here. Stop scaring people, and stop manipulating them.
Dear readers, these two points are what you must study to have hope here on earth. And then, you will experience peace. These demonic witnesses dont know about it cos they arent taught, or they are blind. So, they continue giving you hopelessness. Please, there is hope in this world. It is in the body of Christ which you receive by salvation through out Lord Jesus. Not denomination. Read further the passage, and you will see it true.

Salvation is not through these demonic witnesses. But through Jesus Christ.
So, Demonic Witnesses have the answer and they are judge to know who is saved and who is not. Lol. For them to say their dens are the only places salvation is.
Salvation is through Jesus. And Jesus is with people who worship him in spirit and in truth.
I had to do this. No more response. You know that? They will find more lies. If you love yourself, run away from these demonic witnesses.
I am out of this thread. Please, stay always from these demons.
It’s commendable that you say salvation is through the Christ(Acts 4:12) but the only issue here is that you don’t take Christ’ words seriously so how can you say you truly represent him or his Father? Titus 1:16

Why do I say this? You had the mind to say when Witnesses come to your house, you’d assault them for doing what the same Christ you claim to follow commanded them to do(Matthew 24:14, Acts 1:8.) and yet you’re telling readers that they should not listen to the Witnesses. You thought it’s through nairaland we do our preaching? Guy whatever I’m chatting with you here is without effort so when it’s time for the real and organized preaching and teaching I do with my Bible student and phone contacts, that’s when I put in effort otherwise the rest here is just me in my leisure time. I’m quite certain the other Witnesses on nairaland do likewise so for you to feel that you can halt our preaching with your shenanigans is really absurd and laughable because the fact is Jehovah our God will draw to the truth whomever he deems fit(John 6:44) and whatever seed Jehovah plants will surely grow(1Corinthians 3:6-8.) so judge for yourself if the work we are commissioned to do is by the will of man or will of God, if it was the former, do you think that Jehovah’s Witnesses would still exist in this world? God showed us mercy why we are still sinners.
Even in our sins God still calls us every day as long as one is breathing God still calls that Soul.
Romans 5:8
King James Version
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
And here you are claiming that God requires us to show kindness only to those in our congregations.
No wonder people call you guys(JW) a cult.
Was the man robbed in the story of the good samaritan a brethren of the man who helped him?
Or did the man who helped him wait to find out if the injured man took God's word serious or not before he assisted him?
All through the Bible God has always been compassionate and mercy to all and wants his fellowers to do the same.
Both in old and new testament God has always wanted his people to show love to all people irrespective of their race, religeon or culture.

blueAgent, nobody is discouraging you from rendering help to whoever needs it. Proverbs 3:27
What I’m saying is that God’s Word does not concern those in the world who have no regard for it(Matthew 15:26) so there is no religious requirement for any servant of God to provide gifts of mercy to those in the world rather what Jehovah looks at is when we focus on those in the faith. Galatians 6:10
If someone on his own initiative decides to provide such help to those outside, he must be careful not to draw attention to what he did(Matthew 6:2) but the fact remains that it is not required by our God so what he did is his business because God’s Word already advised us to be careful when dealing with those in the world. 1John 2:15,16

You can't stop to amaze me.
So Jesus said we should limit our assistance to his disciples?
Then why did Jesus give the parable of the good smarithan? to demonstrate that ones neighbour is not necessarily the person who lives next door.
So Beggars are not worthy to be God's children?
Was it not for the unsaved that Jesus came for?
That bible verse never said or mean we should only do good to God's disciples.
Another classic lie from usual suspects.
James 1:27 ESV /
Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
Proverbs 14:31 ESV /
Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him.
1 John 3:17-18 ESV /
But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
James 2:14-17 Esv
What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
Luke 12:33 ESV /
Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.
Deuteronomy 15:7 ESV /
“If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother,
Deuteronomy 14:28-29 ESV /
“At the end of every three years you shall bring out all the tithe of your produce in the same year and lay it up within your towns. And the Levite, because he has no portion or inheritance with you, and the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, who are within your towns, shall come and eat and be filled, that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands that you do
I can even exhaust all the verses that God gave concerning us looking after the poor in the society weather they are our brethren or not.

Psalm 82:3

do justice to the afflicted and needy.
Zechariah 7:9-10
Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
Job 29:12-13
Because I delivered the poor that cried,
and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him. The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy.
Proverbs 22:9 ESV /
Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor.
Proverbs 28:27 ESV /
Whoever gives to the poor will not want, but he who hides his eyes will get many a curse
One of the core principles of christianity is Charity that is one reaching out to the poor.
James 1:27 ESV /
Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
You quoted one scripture twice in both your replies which is James 1:27.
Can you read the scripture according to context? The ending part said to “keep oneself unstained from the world” what do you think that means? God’s Word said that the Christians should focus on caring for the needy—orphans and widows in the Christian congregation. 1Timothy 5:3
So that they will never have any reason to beg from anybody in the world that’s why James encouraged the Christians through his letter to care for those who are needy amongst them.
That’s the true meaning of “Jehovah is my Shepherd, I will lack nothing”(Psalm 23:1) because those ones have put God’s will first in their lives. Matthew 6:31-33

All the other Scriptures you quoted have always been written regarding God’s people in ancient times. That’s why you never had the Israelites going from nation to nation performing humanitarian acts(Exodus 34:15) but whenever someone from the nations comes into the assembly of Israel, agrees to worship Jehovah and do his will, he becomes like a brother in the camp of Israel and the Israelites are not to look down on him but provide him with basic necessities if he’s lacking. Leviticus 19:10, Deuteronomy 24:19-21

Please who are the “least of these my brethren” in verse 40? Many of you guys battling and struggling with these small boys will see yourselves not wise when you meet these keyboard demon witness warriors face to face. They are kids. If you know you know.
Youths build startups, creat and implement new ideas, and many other things to make the world a better place. But these ras.cals keep telling you that it is a hopeless world, yet, they keep using all the innovations and tech (even this NL forum they are spreading their evil agenda wouldn't have existed if demon witness ruled us) to promote their ignorance. This world is bad, yet, they are using the tech inside. This world is evil, no hope, no anything...only in their dens there is hope. Yet, they keep using everything from the evil world to promote their m.adness.
Now is the time to adopt radio communicative strategic - talk without response. You drop the bomb to expose their pranks, stupidity and foolis.hness, they must mention you. Just dont mention them or reply them.directly. Just drop another bomb. Next strategy.
By the grace of God, many who are lured into that evil organisation will start using their brains. Amen!

“Do not love either the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him; 16 because everything in the world—the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of one’s means of life—does not originate with the Father, but originates with the world. 17 Furthermore, the world is passing away and so is its desire, but the one who does the will of God remains forever.”

So take it out on God’s Word for saying such a thing and not the people who are merely echoing what the Bible said in the first place because anyone assuring you that the society would experience peace and stability in this world has been tricked by demons. 1Thessalonians 5:3 see also1Timothy 4:1, Revelation 16:14a

Who said preaching was not the main aim or part of this gestures?
Of what value is preaching to a hungry man without giving him food?
Of what use is preaching to an orphan the gospel alone?when you can be the hand of God that will deliver both the gospel message and the needs of that child.
Your guys are hypocrites.
You only do it for the World to praise you not God.
In Jesus’ day, there were thousands of hungry people and beggars littered around in Jerusalem yet when was it recorded that Jesus performed that humanitarian act just for the fun of it? Even the 5,000 and later 4,000 people that Jesus miraculously fed had first demonstrated interest in God’s Word that’s why he provided their material needs at that time(John 6:1-13) because his interest was first to teach them God’s Word. Mark 6:34
But what did Jesus do when some later came back pretending as if they enjoyed his teaching but in reality they wanted to eat more food? John 6:22-26
Jesus told them that they should strive for the bread that gives everlasting life and that which does not perish. John 6:27, 48
Jesus then said so many shocking things that revealed what was in the hearts of those people and they all stopped following him in that moment. John 6:66-68
So do you still think satisfaction from food should be the motivating factor for a person to be interested in the good news? Jesus certainly didn’t think so.

When Israelites were busy making arrangements to start a nation and the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob was calling them His special possession {Exodus 19:5} other world powers are building schools, hospital, prisons and other stuff. For instance was it not in Egypt that Moses was EDUCATED along with the ROYAL family?
So how do you think an Israelite can convince an Egyptian whose nation has advanced much more than Israelites, that the God of Israel is the Creator of heaven and Earth?
Abeg bro the guy is totally confused thinking he knew anything about pure worship.
He thought since those people are planning for things that seems good in the eyes of people, Jesus had no option than to approve their works! cheesy
My brother do you know that most of these people who profess that they believe in Jesus actually disagree with most of his teachings in secret? They feel that most of the things that occurred in the Greek scriptures are lies or error and that they must communicate with Jesus directly to get the correct info. Unfortunately, the so-called angels they are always seeing continues to whine them with no lasting benefit in sight. Galatians 1:8, 2Corinthians 11:14
That’s how one of my relatives those days who is a clergyman used to put up arguments with me asserting that the Bible contains errors and that the information therein is fallible. If I remember clearly, one statement made by Jesus at Matthew 10:34-36 used to be like a jigsaw puzzle for him so he concluded that the entire Bible has errors and that the statements Jesus made had been tampered with. Clergyman oo! In RCCG.
He knew that Jehovah’s Witnesses were well equipped for the task so I handled him as expected because Isaiah 40:8 states that Jehovah’s word endures forever so if he says that the Bible has been tampered with, it therefore means two things(at least): that his god is powerless as he cannot preserve his own written word and that we cannot be adherents of the same God(Micah 4:5) since we do not flow in the same line of thought. 1Corinthians 1:10

Other denominations has gone as far as to build free schools, orphanages homes, free hospitals, prison ministries, rehabilitate ex_convicts and prostitutes,
Build Schools, give loans and scholarships to unemployed people and students e.t.c

Is only in your mind that, your church has done things which no other church has done ,becos you are not exposed to the facts.
The Bible says to “make sure of the more important things”—Philippians 1:10
Imagine this scenario, you hire a babysitter to care for your infant kids at home while you’re at work hustling for daily bread. But after the hustle and bustle of the day, you come back only to see that this babysitter ignored your children—they hadn’t eaten nor had their bath all day but in her defense, she began saying that she cleaned the windows and mopped the floors. Would you give her a pat on the back seeing that she didn’t do EXACTLY what you asked her to do? Of course not.
So why do you think Jesus will give any attention to people performing “powerful works” such as building schools, hospitals etc in his name without giving attention to the more important things like preaching and teaching the good news of God’s Kingdom? Matthew 24:14
According to Jesus himself, he would totally reject all those who claim to have done such “powerful works” in his name.

Christianity EtcRe: Call It What It Is, Jehovah's Witness Is A Weird Fucking Cult by DappaD:
OP, remember you came to the religious section and most of the people here would profess belief in the Bible. With that in mind, let’s use the Israelites and the Christians in the Bible as a case study since most Bible believers agree that they existed as a people.

ISRAELITES

Jehovah told them that the Law he gave them was to prove to others that they were different from the nations around them. Deuteronomy 4:6-8

They were not to mingle with men from the nations, not even think of marrying from the nations around them because they could lead them astray to worship false gods(Deuteronomy 7:3,4 see also Nehemiah 13:25) That did not mean that they could see men from the nations as scum, rather they are meant to love the foreigners in their midst but limit their friendship/association with them. Deuteronomy 10:19

In fact, the Israelites took exclusive devotion to Jehovah their God so serious that anyone who tried to disband the assembly by bringing in worship of other gods was to be eliminated from the camp of Israel. Deuteronomy 13:6-11

CHRISTIANS

The Bible says that Jehovah does not change with respect to his standards(Malachi 3:6, James 1:17) so when shifting focus to the Christians in the first century, the above arrangement changed in a way(Romans 10:4) but the principles behind them did not.

For instance, the Christians are to be separate from the world around them(John 15:18-20) and not make unnecessary friendships with those in the world who would not strengthen one’s faith(1Corinthians 15:33)
They are not even to marry from those who do not share their faith. 1Corinthians 7:39
That does not mean that they saw men of the world as scum because they are to “honour men of all sorts” irrespective of race, ethnicity, social, religious, economic background(1Peter 2:17) but they are to limit the extent of association with them. 1Peter 4:3,4

When someone tried to bring a strange teaching into the congregation, the overseers would try to readjust such a person(Galatians 6:1) and if such a person persists in his course, he is removed from the congregation. Romans 16:17, Titus 3:10-11
Apart from apostasy, if someone amongst them leads a lifestyle not in line with Bible principles, he is first cautioned(Galatians 6:1) and if he proves unrepentant, he is disfellowshiped from the congregation(1Corinthians 5:11-13) as in members of the congregation are not even to say a greeting to him. 2John 10

Would those who profess belief in the Bible call the two groups of people above i.e. the Israelites and the Christians a “cult” ?
OP note that this question is not for you since the Bible makes no sense to you.
