Grateful02:
I must say the score is so low for nursing all tho I would had advised he/she opts for social works but with the way you're stressing more on NURSING and coupled with the fact of such a score, i bet the possibility of a admission at a university is zero(doesn't exist). Just as someone has said, Poly's and college of healths will be the best option(of which unfortunatly i don't know about both).
As to what schs, I guess each state got a college of health but I'd advise you choose the one at the plc you stay. Please try to encourage the person to cheer up as it doesn't mean THE END OF THE WORLD but rather come out STRONGER to proof doubters WRONG!

Finally its grateful02 and not grsteful02(hands on the face).
Firstly, apologies for getting the moniker spelling wrong. I didn't even do proof reading of my writeup. Done justice to that slight error.

In addition to your comment, why I was stressing nursing was because, it is what she actually wanted, added to the fact that, job prospects abounds. With view of the reality on ground, she would do change of course and put college of health technology (since her score is too low to guarantee admission in polytechnics or university). Social works was another good prospect but when I checked some of the college of health technology, they do not offer such. Rather, laboratory technology, environmental management, public health and safety etc are what are offered.

As it stands now, there is no need for her to cry over spilled milk. She would follow the college of health technology route and put in some good courses which I suggested to her.
Nursing schools privately runned or church owned are still there though have no idea what it entails. Hopefully, she would research towards those areas also.

Peace.

Let's assume this story is not fake, it is possible that Okafor's law is in play in her fiancé life.

It is a very pragmatic law.

To those that contributed so far in the thread, keep it up. To the lady who made suggestions to me regarding institutions and courses, maximum thank you.

I have done my research, gotten the required information as well as pass it across to the person who needs it most. Hopefully, her admission would click after doing the necessary things expected of her.

My brother advising him to make more money, always remember money is not everything. He is comfortable and can afford to take extra mouth.

It is easier for him to find wife now than when he becomes stupendously rich. Chances of him finding good person reduces drastically as he get richer. May he not be unfortunate to get woman who only sees him as retirement base rather than companion.

@OP,

You might end up going through the "recommendation route" rather than "dating route".

In recommendation route, you will be introduced to women who are young and have outlook towards marriage. They abound everywhere and mostly could be your colleagues sister, your friend's nieces, your boss elder sister female child.

Try and follow up. Early marriage with raising children when still young is the best. No need waiting till old age before thinking of getting married. May the universe and God make it easy for you,
Amen.

i don't know why but i noticed that most science students failed jamb this year. Well, the college of health technology i know of is Anambra state college of health tech, a college of health tech in oyo state and to be honest i don't know how much they pay for fees. Pls if u want to go to a college of health tech, endeavour to ascertain that it is accredited. Those colleges i mentioned are the ones i'm sure are accredited and are currently one of the best in Nigeria. U can google search on these colleges and their fees.
I will make more research on those schools which you mentioned and others.

if she's after a recognised cert and don't want to pursue further, i'd suggest she go for med lab tech, a family friend is a med lab technician overseas and she's doing well.
like i said earlier, google more on this to get all the information u need
Thanks. I will look into it.

with a jamb score of 150, u should be considering a polytechnic. I'm not sure a university would grant u admission unless u've got connection or u're opting for a private university.
I don't think polytechnic would have some of those courses. Also, the issue of doing courses under nd and HND thereby creating issues in the future for furthering her education.

Something like a single certificate, which could be recognised anywhere. Example, registered nursing certificate which is gotten after 3 years of study which opportunities to work outside the country in hospitals.

u should also consider a college of health technology, they offer great courses like med lab technology(not science), pharmaceutical tech and so on... They usually run a two to three year program and jamb cut off mark for colleges is around 100 or thereabout
Could you suggest some of the colleges that have affordable fees? The courses suggested are also good. I do hope to have more info on other courses.

If it is not too personal, do you mind mentioning the course you are studying and school.
NB: The person involved is also a young smart lady, but this jamb messed everything up.
Education › Re: JAMB UTME 2021 Thread by DAramis:
Abeg, someone who scores around 150 in jamb, is there any University or polytechnic that could admit the person?

The person wanted to study nursing, but going by the score, would need to do change of course and put another course (preferably in medical related field). Going by what I read in last page, radiography requires high Jamb score. What of Medical laboratory technician, biochemist or biological sciences or social works?

Please, I need suggestions. Also, if you know any cheaper school of nursing in the south south or south east the person can register and gain admission, do suggest please.

I don't have an idea how much you invested on his idea is, but one thing I have always believed is that, money can move things. If Jesus can be sold for 30 pieces of silver, everyone is liable to be betrayed.

My simple advice: up the offer of reward to around one million, and do aggressive broadcasting in blogs, and you will be surprised the result that will turn up.

She was once a Catholic who was brainwashed by a Pentecostal pastor reason I don’t have an idea. Now a born again in the Pentecostal. She is really walking her way to regretting soon. She will carry her cross alone.
They said, experience is the best teacher though very expensive. If it was the way it has been willed, she would definitely walk into it.

What I or no one will guarantee is whether the results of the action she is about to take will bear positive or negative fruits. Her decision, her cross.

I'm very sorry if it's false. Please I stand to be corrected because It's been long I left the Church ( 2001). And i was still small then. so, can't really remember so many things but I know there was a time someone was not allowed to do somethings because they didn't wed in cburch or so..

Anyways, I withdraw that statement.
My reply below:

To the best of my knowledge, that statement of yours could be true decades ago (just like women not allowed to wear trouser in Catholic Churches decades ago, but has been relaxed in most European countries).

But, presently, so many lapses has occurred though the strongest one is still banned (gay marriage inside Catholic Church is still not allowed). All I am trying to do is to let you know that, there are exceptions in some Catholic canon laws which some churches are not following.....I don't know if you are aware that German Catholic churches want to break away from Rome due to Rome not recognising Gay marriage, gay priests and lesbianism.

Overall, I am not trying to body and name shame Linda ikeji when I made that reference. Just that, it is the one of the examples that came to me off heart. In the Catholic Church, a priest once said this pregnancy might be a mistake, but children (which resulted from them) NEVER. So, that is why the Church had a very big stand against abortion.

Which church do you worship now? Is it due to marriage to your husband?
NB: It is a well known fact in some region in Nigeria that, women don't have a religion. They join their husband in whatever one he sanctions. I have a feeling you came from that region.

Also remember catholic doctrines which does not allow children to be baptized unless the parents wedded in Catholic.
To the best of my knowledge, this seems to be false. Linda ikeji baptised his son despite the fact she is not married nor the child gotten inside wedlock.

I'm new to thread and about this Sponsorship issue. Must the Sponsor live in Nigeria?. What if the Sponsor lives in Germany? huh.
Hey, welcome. I think I have come across your moniker in German thread as well as Daniel Houston thread.

Well, going by information shared so far, if you are applying from Nigeria, your sponsor should be in Nigeria for easier verification. In same vain, if you are applying from Germany, I think it would be best if your sponsor comes from Germany or one of the EU countries. When I mean by applying, I specifically meant the visa application. My opinion though.

Okay, just follow one of the suggestions above first. When you get the document on your hand, you will know how to cross that bridge.

Alternatively, as per big man, just put in application in various schools and apply for different transcripts to be sent to them. grin
Travel › Re: Polish Student Visa by DAramis:

Which school if you don't mind mentioning?

Normally, all transcript has official document (pages) showing your individual credits and grades (result) while on the other hand, a single page letter directed to the particular school you indicated will be attached to it. (In the letter, it would be written in bla... bla bal whatever).
If it is student copy, it would have a watermark Student Copy boldly written across each page. If it is original, it would have Confidential written across it.

Just try and follow one of the various suggestions given to you. Have nothing to fear. Get the transcript, and discard the letter showing that it was addressed to the school which you applied to. What matters is the front page document showing how the grades are awarded with regards to scores in each courses and your personal details ces fini.

To wrongs does not make it right.
Never take away food source from a man's table when you are sure he has siblings, children and parents to support.

The guy is very wrong. If he is close to the lady in question (as friend), then it could be yabbing, but for fact he is not, it is bullying pure and simple. As for the lady going for the extreme in removing 'food source' from the man is extreme wickedness.

Lastly, if you are handsome, most women would only want you as boyfriend or someone to use as showoff to friends. Try and define your relationship with them. If you don't want, any sexual relationship with a particular girl, there is no need getting close to her when that is exactly what she had intention of while approaching you (vice versa).

In summary, bro, you have no issue. Keep working hard and earn a living. You would meet the girl of your dream when you least expect it.

NB: Some of the points listed especially with the gossip own is based on experience. Never underestimate the height people would go to say untrue things about you to a girl you fancy.
