angry angryExactly why most entrepreneurs that have little or no background in structured employment fail shocked shocked
How can you dream of waking up WHENEVER you like or going to your place of business WHENEVER you please? That's not self employment, it's indiscipline and if you decide upon entrepreneurism primarily for these fallacies, you're on the fastlane to bankruptcy, failure and disappointment.
You are NOT your own boss as an entrepreneur; The customer is your BOSS. If you have no customers, you have no business. They don't care what title you bear- CEO, Founder, Director, COO, BOSS, ETC
Without most of the qualities mentioned above, and a solid service or business idea, all the capital in the world will not do you any good. Build yourself and your business first, find customers by ALL means, sell something to them and make sure they come back AGAIN. If they complain, LISTEN and take action. People that have money will look for you to invest EVENTUALLY.

The new CBN man is brainless , I thought we where moving to a cashless economy. Now people will prefer to have their money kept in
their homes. Bcus withdrawing above the counter also has its limit and charges are applied. Now ATM has its daily limit. So in other word they reducing the purchasing power of us and hereby allowing us to have our money in our home saves. Bad policies.
Before questioning another person's intellect, did you read the article and did you even understand what it portends? It doesn't affect your domestic spending in any way, as it is only international transaction limits that have been reduced. What has it got to do with cashless policy? That's how misinformation is spread. Where in doubt, please ask questions.

You forgot to mention the more obvious ones that occur daily, especially on social media.

1. Rolling on the floor squealing with glee because you were the first to comment on a topic angry Most times, the comment adds no value to the ongoing debate. Very disgusting and childish.

2. Hurling insults and name-calling at the slightest opportunity because we do not agree on an issue, instead of sharing ideas and learning from each other.
This one takes the cake, because we do not seem to realise we reflect our true personas to the entire world even if we do it anonymously online. The consensus by now would be that we're a shallow minded bunch at best, or religiously blinded, hate-filled ethnic bigots mostly.

CareerRe: Is It Good To Leave Huge Amount Of Money In Ur Salary Account? by darqly(m): 4:05pm On Jul 14, 2015
Your company has a legal right to inquire into ur account without ur consent because it's a salary account. I worked in a bank so I should know
This is not entirely accurate. A bank can only divulge customer information based on the following-
1. The customers express instructions.
2. Orders of a regulatory body e.g. CBN, NFIU
3. Orders of law enforcement agencies e.g. EFCC, NPF
4. A court order.

N.B- Even the law enforcement agencies require a court order to access your account details.
Your company has NO legal right to make enquiries about your account, neither is your bank allowed to divulge this information. Banks hold this agreement sacrosanct, so utilize your funds as you deem fit, salary account or not.

Credible opposition proffers viable alternatives, not just caustic remarks and cynicism. It's evident that some Nigerians would rather see GMB and by extension Nigeria, fail, so they have they have the chance to gloat and say 'I told you So'. Patriotism is loyalty to the country ALL THE TIME, not to APC, not to PDP. We still have plenty of growing up to do.

As at the time of filing this report, no fewer than 20 police vans were patrolling the area to check if the robbers were going to return and ensure safety of lives and properties.
Return for what? To mop up the remnants of their booty or what? Seems NPF exists mainly for reporting and documenting crimes and offences.
PoliticsRe: Murray-bruce Wants NYSC Members To Be Given N500k Each Upon Passing Out by darqly(m): 2:07pm On Jun 21, 2015
Criticism just for the sake of it seems to be the order of the day, especially on social media angry angry
Some respondents have evidently not even bothered to read the tweets and proposed modus operandi before firing off salvos of disapproval and cynicism. Tragically, some corpers and many unemployed youth are also in this bracket and suffer the bandwagon effect. There is such a thing as constructive criticism- Note the demerits of his suggestion, suggest ways to ameliorate them. Note the merits, suggest ways to tweak and improve on them.
I am glad Ben Bruce never mentioned dashing corp members 500k and asking them to try their luck. He emphasized capacity building and some sort of entrepreneurial skills transfer prior to disbursement of the amount, such that the scheme is worthwhile and the country is better off. Granted, not everyone can succeed as an entrepreneur, but those that cannot lead can at least follow those who can. Not every corper can be employed, public or private sector. The jobs are simply never going to be enough compared to the applicants being churned out yearly.
The part about easing business registration requirements and costs is key. If you know how lousy and drawn out CAC registration is, you'd definitely laud him if this hurdle can be tackled.

PoliticsRe: Ben Brice Reacts To #8.4billion Naira Wardrobe Allowance by darqly(m): 1:38pm On Jun 17, 2015
I see nothing wrong in what he's tweeted concerning these allowances thus far, he's making the right noises.
If he rejects the allowance ALONE, that's 25m, but if he convinces a coalition of legislators to reject same, say 10 senators, that's 250m. Which would you rather happen? And which occurrence will cause his colleagues to have a rethink and hopefully spark debate on the role of RMAFC in this remuneration scam?
PoliticsRe: NASS Members To Get N8.64bn As Wardrobe Allowance Next Week by darqly(m): 1:42pm On Jun 16, 2015
At 21.5m per senator, that translates to approx 5.3m per year for each of the 4yrs. In Their regular lives, would they actually buy clothes worth 5m in a year, with hard earned income? They're hardly to blame, it's that dubious RMAFC that is the real culprit here angry angry

BusinessRe: Customers Queue For Bank Verification Number (BVN) In Dutse (Photo) by darqly(m): 6:26am On Jun 03, 2015
adeaks:
Is that the only bank in the area? Why endure the stress of such a long queue when the registration can be done at any bank. When I did mine, I initially wanted to do it at Gtb but the queue was something else. I simply left and walked to sterling bank which was nearby and registered easily. Sterling bank was there but most people overlooked it preferring to go to Gtb.
There is a need to educate people that no matter where you do the registration, it covers all the other banks where you might have accounts.
If you don't maintain an account with Sterling, then your registration is just as void as when you had no BVN. You cannot be enrolled in just ANY bank, it must be where you maintain an account. Many banks don't even know what they ought to be doing. Didn't they ask for your account details, address and a signature to verify? How will they verify if you don't bank with them? I suggest you head to your bank and let them know what you've done, because you can't register more than once. You risk CBN flagging your account as suspicious for multiple enrolment, and here your struggle begins. grin grin
BusinessRe: Customers Queue For Bank Verification Number (BVN) In Dutse (Photo) by darqly(m): 5:57am On Jun 03, 2015
plendil:
Are you sure about this? Because I went to make payment at a bank which I had no account and was directed to collect my BVN at the customer service, after clearly telling the teller I had no account with them (access bank). I however didnt get the number cuz got discouraged by the queue.
Some lousy banks are using the BVN enrolment as an excuse to get you to open accounts with them, which is clearly unprofessional. If you had stayed long enough afterwards, you'd have been given account opening forms to complete. The commercial banks actually have a target to meet, BVN wise, set by CBN which explains the desperation. For the avoidance of doubt, you must ensure you are enrolled ONLY ONCE in a bank WHERE YOU MAINTAIN AN ACCOUNT. At the point of capturing your biometrics, demographic data and identity is verified via the info you provided WHEN you first opened the account. This is why you cannot logically be enrolled in a bank where you don't have an account or banking relationship- They don't have have any of your info to compare against.

Btw... For the benefit of those who don't know,

This stuff can be done at any bank, not necessarily one's bank. Why waste time in a long queue when you can easily go to a bank with a lesser queue and get it done? huh
The information highlighted above is not entirely accurate. You can only be enrolled in a bank where you have an account as you will have to be verified and authenticated. Once you've been issued the BVN, you can then submit it at any other bank where you have accounts so it's linked.
