TravelNigerian born John Abraham Godson becomes Poland’s first black lawmaker by Davedavy(op): 2:01pm On Dec 14, 2010
John Abraham Godson, a Polish citizen born and raised in Nigeria, has been sworn in as the first black member of Poland's parliament.

Mr Godson had served as a councillor in the city of Lodz before taking up a parliamentary seat, vacated by a party colleague after local elections.

His entry into parliament has created a media stir in the mainly white country.

He came to Poland in the 1990s, opening an English-language school and working as a pastor in a Protestant church.

He has since married a Polish woman and the couple have four children.

He is not killing people's business but on the contrary he is saving innocent ones from being scammed. His replies to several scams on this forum must have saved a lot of people from being duped. We need more people like him not only on this forum but in Nigeria. If only we all come together and fight this cancer worm called corruption that has eaten very deep into our dear nation. The spread is so wide that every facet of our life is affected by this canker worm.
This site was created for us to help each other not for carrying out scams. Corruption is a problem that cannot be addressed at the levels of national governments alone, all of us including  government, the private sector, the media, religious organizations and, most importantly, citizens, all have an important role to play.

We are all solidly behind Justwise on this one.

@ OP

In additional to what Vicjustice wrote above, let me chip in this. If you are trying to run away from a criminal offence, I am afraid there is no way out for you, if you show up in any airport within the EU,you will be arrested and sent back to UK.
Trying to travel on another name can land you in jail, and there is a very big chance you will be discovered while trying to leave any airport within the UK.If you are just an over stayer, why not travel on the name used to enter the country, your only offence will be overstaying, yes, coming back into the UK will be harder for you but it is better than trying to leave on a fake name and landing yourself in jail.

You are selling Singapore Passport. Singapore passport  contain biometric features (Bio Pass) to authenticate the identity of travelers, this was introduced in order to qualify for the US Visa Waiver requirement.
How on earth are you going to sell a passport that contain someone else biometric data?
You are not sick of city life, you are a scammer,it's either the passport you are selling is fake or a stolen passport. If you are sick of City live, why do you want to sell your passport?you can as well move to Nigeria while still holding your Singapore citizenship.

I will like to know how many weeks or months it takes the Russian embassy to issue one a student visa cos i have been granted admission in on of the universities there and i have already submitted my documents, any useful information will be appreciated.
I am not trying to scare you but Russia is a hard country to live in.It is hard getting a job especially when you do not speak the language. They are racists including the Police so you are OYO.
Lastly,it is hard getting a visa out of Russia during the first two years of your program.
Where is your school in Russia?

Now to your question.
Once you have your admission, and the NDLEA clearance certificate which is the most important thing, you will be issued you a visa within few weeks, about 2 weeks on the average.

@ OP

They doubted your real intention in the UK hence the reason for the thorough checks and questions.Thank God they didn't find anything implicating on you, stuffs like your CV could land you back in Lagos.

To the best of my knowledge,Code 3 is a type of tourist landing.
Also note that information are kept on whatever you have told the immigration officers on arrival for further references. It isn’t any big deal, as long as you told them the truth because they can always refer back to this information on your subsequent  visits.
And the most important thing,do not overstay your visa.
Have a nice holiday!
TravelRe: Indefinte Ban From Germany by Davedavy: 11:45pm On Nov 20, 2010
jor-el:
Please, could somebody help me out on this,i had a residence permit for belgium, after studies i went to slovakia for holiday, but overstayed for 9 days, on my way back to belgium to finalize issues and return to Nigeria, there was a passport control on the way by the german police and received a( temporary  ban from germany stamp on passport)
will this affect future visa application to other shengen countries, since this ban was for germany alone.,is getting a new passport a wise thing to do?

please somebody tell me,
From the information provided on your post,it means your Belgian residence permit expired and you were still within the shengen zone, right?and unfortunately for you,you were caught by the German immigration. The implication of this is that your name has been entered into the SIS (shengen information system)

The Schengen Information System,(SIS), is a governmental database used by several European countries to maintain and distribute information on individuals and pieces of property of interest. The intended uses of this system is for national security, border control and law enforcement purposes.Information in the SIS is shared among institutions of the participating countries in the Schengen Agreement Application Convention (SAAC).

Now,a temporary ban from any shengen country must be recorded into the SIS,though the ban is from Germany, but if you apply for a visa to any other shengen country, they MUST consult the SIS in order to protect the interest of all the member states.

To cut a long story short, if you are listed by any member state,it means you will never receive a visa into the shengen zone.Remember Schengen and EU aren't the same - some countries not in EU are in Schengen (Switzerland, Norway, Iceland etc) and some EU countries have opted out of Schengen (e.g. UK, Ireland, so separate rules apply).

Getting a new passport will not help you, infact on the shengen application form, you are required to state your previous travels within the shengen zone, what will you say?just forget about the shengen zone for now,you can always try the non shengen EU countries.

All the best.

@davedady

i wish to know if it is possible to change status while in canada,
i mean going in with a visitors visa and on getting to canada, before the expiration of the 6 months temporary visa change status to,say student category,
i would like to know the processes/procedures and possible duration
your comment would really be appreciated.
A temporary resident (visitor's visa holder) enters Canada with a particular status and under specific conditions. A temporary resident who wants to change these conditions and status after arrival must get the approval of an immigration official.

In most cases, temporary residents cannot apply for permanent resident status from within Canada.

Exceptions to this rule include:
refugees or protected persons;
live-in caregivers; and
spouses or common-law partners of Canadian citizens or permanent residents

My great forumites, i'll want to ask a few questions about Germany. Pls, drop anytin u deem ok to make this short trip a success.
I'm serving my Boss in his company (sales of autos spare parts) and my boss want to send me to Germany to buy motor spare parts. In this regards, he got d invitation frm a client in Germany and he wil b d one to sponsor me thereby incurring all d cost. I want to make enquires abt my chances of gettin d visa. Do i need to submit any of my personal docs?
Yes you might need to submit some of your personal docs that show your ties to Nigeria,if you are married, you might want to include something to that effect,if you have any property i.e Land,House, etc, you might one to chip those in as well.believe me,nothing is too much.
But on a general term, this is what you need to prepare:

• Letter of introduction from employer
• Original Invitation letter from a company in Germany (not older than three months),
including a copy of the German company's „certificate of registration/ incorporation“ ,
(German: Handelsregisterauszug/ Gewerbeanmeldung). The certificate of registration/
incorporation“ should not be older than 6 months.
• Certificate of Incorporation of your company in Nigeria and/or Memorandum and Articles of
Association (if applicable)
• Pay slips of the last three months
• Personal bank statements of the last three months (only stamped and signed bank statements
accepted)
• Company´s bank statements of the last three months (only stamped and signed bank
statements accepted)
• Evidence of business in Nigeria and also of former and current transactions in Nigeria and/or
abroad (e.g. bills of lading, receipts, contracts)
• Confirmed hotel booking or proof of any other accommodation in Germany
• Marriage Certificate (issued by the marriage registry) or, if traditionally married only,
„affidavit of facts“ plus wedding pictures
• NPC birth certificate/s of minor children
• Travel Health Insurance

Supplementary information or evidence may be requested in each individual case

All the best.

My advise will be for you guys to apply separately since you are not married yet,you can always get married and file spousal application if one of you win but saying you are married when you are not is a deception and if found out during the interview will not only disqualify your application but can also lead to a ban.
