Who is sponsoring you?Nigerian government?if it is Nigerian Govt,i think they pay around 300 dollars monthly for undergraduate students and about 500 dollars for Masters(not too sure what the current amount is though),the Russian government will also give you something at the end of every month if your result is satisfactory.i did part of my M.Eng in Russia(Exchange program).Which town in Russia are you going to?

Life is full of compromises, so it depends on what is important to you/your family.
Firstly, not everyone face joblessness, loneliness, e.t.c like you seem to suggest. If you are lonely, I suggest you spend your sunday around peckham market. . If you work fulltime from monday to Friday, you should be looking forward to resting during the weekend, visiting friends, going to church (if applicable) e.t.c. Afterall also, Lebara and phone card never finish! So you can jist with Family and friends back home.

You can be in naija and have millions in your account or be here and have only a few hundreds or thousands in your account and enjoy the facilities that this place provides. Whatever is priority for you or of importance. You can earn much and pay through your nose to have your kids go to Private schools in Nigeria or you can have them go to very good state schools here for virtually free if you live in a good area. Its all your choice. I dont mind the about 6 months of freezing weather, cos at least i can pad myself. I prefer it to heat. Is it all the time that I am outside during the cold weather?

Actually he did absolutely nothing except be a black guy on the street with £50 in his wallet & with 2 white european guys who had 1 gram of coke on them. They got off scot free & let to continue their holiday, my husband got arrested & over nothing more than 1 cop said he saw them give him the money which is bull as it was mine!!! This is very tricky,if he has been convicted that simply means he has a criminal record,and on his further visa applications he will be required to give details of this.The EEA family permit might not be refused if at the present moment he is not considered as a threat to the national security of the country he is seeking permit to enter.

Just want to know. Can you throw more light on this? If he doesn’t mention anything about Spain on his application, how will the UK embassy find out? Conduct a search round all the EU countries systems? HOW?

there are several ways in which this can be found out,firstly,like Vic justice mentioned above,if he has ever applied for asylum before in any EU country,his fingerprints is alreay in the system and this can be easily checked,anothe way is if he has ever been deported from any EU country or convicted in any of EU countries,his information will be recordedin the SIS (shengen Information system),though the UK is not in the shengen zone,but there is exchange of information between police.So definately,there will be a background check on him and they will find out.But like i said before,this on its own is not enough reason for the refusal of EEA family permit.i will advice you to seek a legal advice.

Anyway,since she is coming to Nigeria,what you need to do is to take loads of pictures together,with families and friends,also make sure you are saving all the e-mails,chats etc.Your greatest wahala will be the age difference.Dont think it will be very easy,you need a lot of patience and persistence.So far she is willing to sponsor you for the Fiancee visa meaning she has the financial capability,then things shouldnt be that hard for you guys.But be sure that the consular will want you guys to really prove that what you have is REAL LOVE.All the best.

I've some useful information for you Mr. Adepaki if you insist on going to US. I'll like you to check out this website- www.uscis.gov . Therein, u'll see a link to the categories of US visa and their requirements. You can choose the one you think you qualified for,you can apply for it online. You don't need to pay for that,it's do-it-yourself kind of thing. However,there may be application fee,I am not so sure,but if there's it should be paid directly to US embassy in Nigeria. Again,if there's anything you don't understand in the application,that is when you need somebody to explain it to you. The bitter truth is that you may not qualified based on your educational background,work experience and host of other things they may consider.
Information #2,check out this website- www.dvlottery.state.gov  that is US government website for visa lottery.So far,this is the best visa anyone can  get for US now, 'cos if you win it,they'll give you a resident permit which will enable you to live,work,go to school, travel in and out of US anytime you want. The visa lottery started on Oct. 2, '09 and will last till Nov. 30, '09. You don't need to pay for the lottery,it's free. Paying will in no way increase your chance of winning, instead it will decrease it 'cos if they know you paid,they will disqualify you.  You will fill the forms online and print out your confirmation receipt and keep it for reference in case you win.
