@ poster. you cannot be denied entry into UK since you have a Romanian passport now.You are no more a visa national hence visa is not required of you to travel to the UK,Your identification can be checked for validity, but you cannot be asked questions about the purposes and duration of your trip. Your right to travel may be restricted only on grounds of public policy, public security or public health. In case you are planning to work in UK,you should note that workers from some of the States which recently joined the EU like Romania may face restrictions on access to the labour markets of the previous Member States ,so i think you will still need permission to work. |
timothy001:With 900k i dont think you will be able to study in Ireland, think about accomodation, cost of living, school fees etc.And from your post it seems as if you are looking at an undergraduate degree which is about 3 years. I dont know how things work in Malaysia anyway, but do your research very well before embarking on the any trip.Wish you all the best. |
usherroyal:There is no big deal,go to this site and browse the schools: http://www.findaschool.org/index.php?Country=Russian%20Federation |
@ Poster. Firstly, which town in Russia are you going to?this will go a long way in helping me to answer your question. In general, it is not that easy getting a job especially when you cant speak the Language and since you mentioned you are going to do a preparatory course which is basically learning the Language, I will advise you to forget about working the first year. Its a whole lot of work and it will be hard for you to combine it with work, you will be so much occupied with school stuffs and you have to grab the language as fast as you can as it is the foundation. Life in Russia is okay, there are a lot of Naija students there especially in Moscow and P/Burg. Racism in Russia is kind of high especially in Saint Petersburg and Voronesh, but things are getting better. Things are not too expensive especially when you are living in a student hostel, after grabbing the Language, you should be able to get a job especially in places like Moscow, most of my friends there are working, the pay isn’t that much but you will be okay. To summarize it all, make sure you go with enough money first during your fist year, forget about working first, once you grab the language, everything will fall in places for you. I studied in Russia for some time so I know much about the country. All the best! Besides,Russian chicks are very HOT and beer(piva) as well as vodka is very cheap. ![]() |
@ Poster. Bros just book an Hotel, since you are a Phd student over there it wont be hard for you to get a visa. All you need is to show them you are coming back to Norway and you can take care of yourself finacially during your stay in US. All da best! |
@Poster. Kosovo ke?wetin you dey find go there? ![]() Kosovo's citizens are the poorest in Europe, with an average annual per capita income of approximately $2,450. Most of Kosovo's population lives in rural towns outside of the capital, Pristina. Inefficient, near-subsistence farming is common, the result of small plots, limited mechanization, and lack of technical expertise. |
Ope oooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! |
Try and report the loss of the passport to the right authorities, police and possibly immigration.Even if you won't be issued a new one,it is always better to report the loss of important documents like that.It wont be too hard for you to get a new one when you get to UK with the police report of your lost passport, and it might help you with the Naija immigration while going back to UK . All join sha,be prepared 4 those boys at MMA ![]() |

Several Togolese footballers, in Angola for the African Nations Cup, were injured, some seriously, when their team bus was fired on with machine guns, French Infosport television reported on Friday. The sports channel said the bus was fired on as the team travelled through the politically unstable Cabinda region bordering Congo. "Two players have been injured," one player, Thomas Dossevi, told Infosport, which later reported that several players had been seriously hurt. Contacted by AFP reporters in Angola, organisers of the event said the team bus had simply burst a tyre, causing panic among those inside. After a second enquiry, organisers said they had no knowledge of the incident. Togo are scheduled to get their campaign underway against Ghana on Monday, however Dossevi said the players had already expressed a wish not to play the tournament. "We don't feel much like playing the CAN Cup. Our thoughts are with our friends, the injured," said Dossevi, of French second division side Nantes. Dossevi named goalkeeper Kodjovi Obilale of French amateur side GSI Pontivy and defender Serge Akakpo of Romanian outfit Vaslui as among the injured. He added: "We had just crossed the border (between Congo and Cabinda, where Togo are to play their Group B matches). We had filled in the border formalities and were surrounded by police. Everything was fine. Then there was a powerful burst of gunfire. "Everyone dived under the seats and the police fired back. "It felt like war had broken out. It's shocking. When we got off the bus we were asking ourselves what was up." Akakpo, he said, "took a bullet in the back." "The official in charge of communications also stopped a bullet - he lost a lot of blood," Dossevi added. Of Obilale "there is no news" save for the fact that "he was bleeding a lot." "Getting shot on your way to a football match is just disgusting," said Dossevi, who added he believed that a goalkeeping coach had also been hurt. Togo, whose skipper is Manchester City forward Emmanuel Adebayor, were set to face Ghana in Cabinda on Monday. Cabinda had been expected to deploy heavy security at its Chiazi stadium. Chelsea stars Michael Essien of Ghana and Ivory Coast's Didier Drogba are due to play the group stages there, one of four Cup venues in the country, but not all the security will be for the Premier League stars. Oil-rich Cabinda, separated from the rest of Angola by the Democratic Republic of Congo, has been embroiled in a long-running independence struggle but is scheduled to host seven Nations Cup matches this month. The conflict in the region officially ended in a 2006 deal with the Front for the Liberation of the Enclave of Cabinda (FLEC). |
Togo team attacked in Angola by armed gun men.WTF!!This is a breaking news on CNN. |
Terror blacklist: US calls Nigeria’s bluff Washington is set to call Abuja’s bluff on a possible diplomatic row over the administration’s decision to put the country on its terror watch list. Administration officials have ruled out reversing the action and dared Nigeria to show evidence of a comprehensive plan to fight terror groups. White House sources said President Barack Obama signed off on the plan based on “preponderance of evidence that Nigeria has become a likely haven for terror groups, like Al-Qaida”. F.B.I sources said the decision by Washington to place Nigeria on its terror watch list is a preventive measure to disrupt a likely attack on the country. Officials disclosed that reliable intelligence had concluded that terror groups are likely to use Nigeria as a base for further attacks. “For years, the C.I.A has documented evidence of Al-Qaida attempting to recruit and gain foothold in Nigeria, and its security agencies did nothing to confront the threat,” top Homeland Department officials stated. “This is a security situation with the lives of Americans at risk. We are not prepared to risk American lives just to satisfy Nigerian officials” administration sources said. Besides, the State Department said Nigeria knows what to do to get the country off the watch list.” There has to be a visible and verifiable evidence that Nigerian authorities are improving security and intelligence gathering against not just terror groups, but also extremists and fundamentalists, especially in the northern part of the country,” State Department officials stated. The White House also wants Nigeria to close Islamic schools that teach and influence youths into religious extremism. “We believe measures like these would be concrete evidence the country is serious about fighting terror, rather than threatening the United States,” officials said. |
I nedostic:I used to have a chick who was frm Estonia, frm what she told me,blacks are very few in the country and most of the locals aint use to blacks.I dont know anything about being able to get a job there though. But i guess the language will be a big barrier except you speak Estonian/Russian.I also learnt that they have the lots of skin heads. The only plus i know about the country is that it is an EU and Shengen member. |
Emzybrown:Get in touch with the Bulgarian embassy in Nigeria for details on how to renew your passport ASAP.Since you had a Bulgarian passport once, you are a citizen and can as well renew it.Once that is done you are good to go,remember, you must use only your Bulgarian pali while applying to those schools in order to be treated like an EU citizen. In any country you chose, try as much as possible to apply for internships in English speaking countries during summer holidays,UK will be easier for you since you are an EU citizen, check this out ; http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/workingintheuk/eea/workpermits/workpermitarrangements/studentinternships/. This will greatly help you improve your skills,CV and give you an upper hand by the time you graduate, you can even get hired by your employers before graduation, the most important thing is to put in your best. I wish you all the best,if you have further questions, please do ask. |
Emzybrown:Do you have a Bulgarian passport?if yes then you are an EU citizen,my advice for you concerning furthering your studies will be for you to apply to schools in Scandinavian countries, most of the schools there are tuition free for EU citizens, and as an Eu citizen, you dont need to apply for student visa in Nigeria before resuming for classes, all you need do is get admission(there are lots of courses in English Language),A residence permit will be required of you if you are staying more than three months therefore you will have to apply for that upon arrival.Your school should help you with it.As an EU citizen studying, you wont need a work permit for regular student jobs. I wont advice you to go to Bulgaria. With your citizenship, you can try many other places in Europe to further your studies.Try these links for lists of Universities with English courses; Universities in Denmark; http://www.findaschool.org/index.php?Country=Denmark Universities in Norway; http://www.findaschool.org/index.php?Country=Norway Universities in Sweeden;http://www.findaschool.org/index.php?Country=Sweden Universities in Finland;http://www.findaschool.org/index.php?Country=Finland |
marigibs:I wont advice you to choose Russia,i wont lie to you,it will be hard for you to cope,Russia is a poor country and salaries are very poor, unemployment is high as well as racism. If you are considering Germany,i know there are some scholarship opportunities but i don't really know much about them, you can dig on that further. But you need to learn the language, you can start learning from Nigeria,in every country you find yourself, try as much as possible to learn the language, things will be easier for you that way.If you can afford the school fees,i think English speaking countries will be your best bet,but if you don't have the fees,Germany should be okay. The most important thing is to have goals and be focus. After your first year (if your program is 2 years) you can travel to USA on summer work and study program ,and when you graduate you can also travel to USA for one- year young graduate trainee program. The most important thing is YOU and what you want out of LIFE. |

5 advance to Miss World semifinals Five candidates of the 2009 Miss World beauty pageant have advanced to the semifinals, after they won in four fast-track events in Johannesburg, South Africa, organizers said. The five candidates who will be included in the Top 20 are Miss Japan, Eruza Zazaki, who won Miss World Sportsman; Miss Canada Lena Ma, and Miss Sierra Leone, Mariatu Kargbo, tied, Miss World Talent; Miss Gibraltar Kaiane Aldorino, Miss World Beach Beauty; and Miss Mexico Perla Beltran, Miss World Top Model. The other semifinalists will be announced during the grand finals which will be held at the Gallagher Convention Center on Saturday, December 12. Normally, only four contestants advance in the semis. But for the first time, this year, two candidates — Misses Canada and Sierra Leone — tied in one of the fast-track events. This resulted in five candidates advancing to the semifinals. Also, Miss Puerto Rico Jennifer Colon, and Beltran, of Mexico appeared to be the early favorites to win the 2009 Miss World crown, based on betting houses. |
NordicRace:WTF na your papa be scum on earth.Wetin u dey do here self?? |
As for Russia, though the school fees is cheap but it will be tough for you to work while studying because of the language and moreover it wont be that easy for you to travel to other countries, you need visa to enter almost every country in the world from Russia.if you choose Germany or Austria, you will be granted a Shengen residence permit, which means you can travel all over shengen without visa,i don't know much about Hungary and Japan. |
