CelebritiesRe: Wizkid Blasts Linda Ikeji: Almost 40, Lonely And Bitter by davidif: 8:44am On Feb 23, 2016
ronald4lif:
I think Linda Ikeji some how asked for this. She took to press saying Wizkid 2nd baby mama had birth his second son without certain nor confirming if the child is Wizzy's.

I read that story and didn't see any "alleged" attached to it. Was Linda there when Wizzy mated the said lady or was she a witness to a paternity test procedure that confirms child was his?

That was character defamation, unprofessional and she has to be careful and get her facts straight before blogging stories.

Wizkid may just have confirmed, either through DNA or other means, that the boy isn't his and feels ire and infuriated considering the damage that story may have done to his brand. And rightly so to an extend but I think he should suck it up.

Linda never told anyone she's lonely. Being single and lonely are heterogenous and aren't same. One can be single, happy and convivial. While some are dating/married but still feel unhappy, misery and desolated. Daunting unmarried people is fatuous and silly when marriage doesn't guarantee happiness.
Gbam! Your last paragraph is golden.

At least she is not a baby mama.

Why would a girl feel so worthless as to date an island guy in the first place? Does it make them feel special?

This is one of the reasons why naija does not work. How can a state be getting its revenue from the fed govt? In other countries, the states (and even the local govt) raise their own revenue themselves and set their economic agenda.
It would be unthinkable for the city I live in (or the state) to start asking for 'allocation' from the fed. govt.

Why can't Lagos state govt devlop a local team that will be supported by lagosians?
At the end of the day, talents will be taken from Nigeria, to further make Barcelona a great club from people buying into Barcelona's merchandise...it's all about marketing and having a global influence to the detriment of the local league.
Wrong!

This is Nigeria's problem. Govt getting involved in almost every area of our way of life from Sports to even the media, from mining to power generation (and even distribution). How can you have a good premier league when the 18 of the 20 teams are run by the govt?

Please, tell me, when has the govt ever being good at running anything? No wonder things hardly run well in naija. Almost everything the govt has tried to get involved with has either failed or being substandard: NPL, NNPC, Ajaokuta, electricity generation (NEPA), aviation. You would think they would have learnt their lesson by now.

The job of the govt should be to make things easier and conducive for business, provide national security, make sure that the rules and regulations are being followed and to get out of the way so that they don't become a hindrance to private enterprise.

Abba Moro was arrested because he is an Igbo
man from a village close Enugu, adjacent
Anambra state, PMB must follow rule of law
while fighting corruption, why did he order the
arrest of Abba Moro without taking permision

Why should anyone take permission from a senator before arresting a suspect? What country does that happen in?
PoliticsRe: EFCC Arrests Abba Moro, Others Over 2014 Immigration by davidif:

I never wanted Buhari to win because I think he is not qualified to be president and does not even deserve to be Nigerias president and I still think so.

But blunders like this from Jonathan was too much to take should actually land both Jonathan and Moro in jail. Things like this and many other impunity happening under GeJ nose coupled with his inability to rein in his wife was the height of irresponsibility and that's why people shifted to the next supposedly best thing which was Buhari.

Why we end up with options of devil vs satan as candidates in our elections is just what I can't understand in this country.

I like ur question.
Bro, it's because we have a closed primary system where in each party, it's the cabals and insiders that chose their presidential candidates. If we had open primaries like they do in the U.S where the public votes for the winners of the primaries in each election cycle, I believe we would have better candidates.

What this means is that all the candidates for each party (whether APC or PDP) would declare and run against each other over a period of time and the people (registered party members) all over the country would decide. Whoever wins the most states gets to represent their party in the general elections. This ensures that the creme de la crème gets to represent their party as the sole candidate in their general elections as opposed to just anyone who can buy off party members.

Another reason why the Nigerian electoral system does not work is that people seem to be more caught up with voting for parties as opposed to voting for actual individuals. So if the party leader is mediocre, then thats who they are stuck with.

Useless arrests every day, when will this useless northern and South western illiterate president face a serious business like the dwindling economy?
I highly disagree. Being able to multi-task should be a must for any leader of a country. A good leader should be able to put on several hats at the same time and juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.

Nothing should stop the Preaident of a country from cleaning up the system and focussing on other things at the same time. That's a hallmark of great leaders.

shocked. It sad to hear your daughter is no longer a virgin but that is the reality that stares us in the face. Few days ago I came across a picture on Nairaland of less that 2 years old kids doing something similar to "a* head"smh. I know as a parent you are perplexed and asking questions how, when and where you all got it wrong.

We have exposed this kids to many things such as cable network without supervision, phone with internet subscription, Ipads, laptops and our very own nakedwood (Nollywood) and believe you me, they learn fast. Ever wondered how kids this days find it difficult to pronounce words as Elephant, Lorry, Shoe but flawlessly or perfectly pronounce 'shakiti bobo' or street slangs without hassles.
That's why when you tell the parents that it's not every new technological gadget you buy for kids, they won't listen. They will say there is nothing wrong with it, that it's keeping up with the times.

I will give you a simple analogy. Dunlop produces tires in Naija. Someone sources forex from cbn to import used tires. Therefore, because the used ones are cheaper than Dunlop, it's difficult to increase production a and demand is low for Dunlop. Then they fold up.

When we are forced to be self reliant, the options we have which will be our only option will drive demand and reduce cost for Dunlop.
Your write up is simply nativist or nationalistic sentiment with little economic logic.

You see, one thing economics teaches us is that most consumers are rational and would rather buy a product of superior quality if they can afford it. That is why companies realize that in order to break into a market, they have to deliever a product that is of comparable quality (if not better) to their competitors at reasonable prices if not, they might struggle for market share and not remain in business for too long.

So abeg stop with the victim blaming and tell the leaders to focus on making the country easy to run a business.

My sister don't mind the OP jare, he is just victim blaming.

Economics teaches us that most consumers are rational and that they would most likely seek out a superior product if they can afford it. That is why companies realize that in order to break into a market, they have to deliever a product that is of comparable quality (if not better) to their competitors at reasonable prices if not, they might struggle for market share and not remain in business for too long.

So don't let the OP make you feel guilty about wearing your Dulce & Gabbana you are simply a rational consumer. After all, who goes ahead to buy an inferior product when they can afford a better quality.

The way everybody is now forming as if people where avoiding Nigerian goods cause of foolishness is now getting anoying.

I am a proud Nigerian, and i want my country to be great. I also want good value for my products and high safety standards ( the 'my pikin' drug saga still scares me where Nigerian drugs are concerned). A Lot of the makers of Nigerian products are looking out for money alone.

Ever boarded arik and been left waiting for over 5 hours with no xplanation or apology? bought a 'made in nigeria' meat pie with roaches? Or an aba dress that whose seams fall apart as soon as you leave the store and the store person insulting your lineage when you complain? What about aba electric fans that only work with pen prodding?

My point is, let us stop attacking Nigerian populace, we want value for our money. Rather direct all these to the nigerian companies so that they would produce quality products and weed out the fakes almost themselves, who no like betta?
May God bless you my sister. Nigerians like blaming victims too much.

i agree with you OP but did you ever think about it this way?....how many consumable commodities do we produce here in Nigeria and if we are to consume made in Nigeria products (I.e phones) how many manufacturers do we have here. in my view let's get this manufacturers come over and invest here so we can consume directly without importing. you don't jez make policies with making alternative provisions. i am only tryna b brief. even the agricultural produce have the government made provision for storage n processing?
Why would a manufacturer come to a country where it is sooooo difficult to run a successful business?

Have you even bothered to even ask Virgin why they left Nigeria or those Zimbabwean farmers that came to Kwara some years ago.

Still on the rise? I don't think that you actually believe what you are saying. You are probably just being defensive and too proud to admit the truth even though you know it.

Its a terrible thing when people put party loyalty over what's best for the country.

But if your intentions were pure in the first place, you won't wear something like this to church. In fact, if you were very sensitive, you wouldn't even have inner peace a out wearing something like this to the house of God.

In addition to that, the Bible warns us not to do things that will make our brother stumble. It also tells us to consider our brethren first.

Spot on. If you get to they office off the DPR to initiate process to set up a refinery they'd give you the paper criteria but to get approval is the real issue. My time in 2013 working seriously on setting up a refinery with some patrons made me realise that Nigeria isn't ready for the word 'PROGRESS'

We keep fooling ourselves, you don't have power CCGP will need to be imported asking with all accessories, steel for interconnecting piping needs to be imported, to make roads heavy earth moving equipment needs to be imported. To set Nigeria on the path of industrialization will take another ten yrs.

As far as I am concerned, there's no proactive plan in place.
Please tell us of your experience of trying to open a business. I am sure it will be highly informative if you make a thread about it.
