Politics › Re: Momodu: Unveiling President Buhari's Mindset, We Supported Him Almost Blindly by davidif: 4:55am On Sep 11, 2016 |
The serious question we should be asking is why is it that there were no other candidates? Why is it that in a country of over a 100 million people we had to settle for two candidates? Why don't we have open primaries like they have in the U.S where the people vote in the primaries to determine who wins there parties nominations? Over there, each state has its own primary date where the people vote and whoever wins the most states wins the nomination of there party. That way the people get there most favored candidates. |

Really?? other countries are sending there best students to the West to study at schools like MIT, Caltech, Oxford, Stanford etc. Naija on the other hand are sending there kids to some school in a far flung area of Alabama. I can understand if going to this school was there personal decision and if it was fully funded by them but the fact that it was state funded and the govt did not send them to the best schools they could get is what's a little surprising. https://www.nairaland.com/313588/best-business-schools-world/14 |

Webmasters › Re: This Is Why Mark Zuckerberg Wears Grey T-Shirt Every Day by davidif: 9:13am On Sep 08, 2016 |
Adekorya: Enough of this one shirt, no wrist watch , no security noise you're all making. To be sincere, i find no motivation in it, because if Mark has money and decided not to use wrist it's his choice, and it's not applicable to me.
Don't get me wrong o, I actually envy his success story, but that doesn't mean i should dislike E money , C Ronaldo, Mayweather etc extravagant way of life
So please, let us hear world. When i become rich and famous,i will surely wear designer because i love designers, own a Yacht (big one o), build Mansions instead of house, and employ 40 bodyguards just like Roman Abrahimovic because Nigerian's security system is not reliable enough to protect me. More also, i will gives out and help people especially the poor.
And if you tell me I'm wasting money, i will respond. Dude, modesty is a virtue. Too bad they don't teach things like this in naija anymore. |

slyfoxxjoe: All of you commenting on the simplicity of his dressing fail to realize he is a Caucasian man doing a marathon tour of Sub-Saharan Africa. Lots of travelling and an extremely hot climate, of course he was going to dress in something simple and comfortable. Anyone who thinks he does not own expensive clothes and property is just being silly. This is how he usually dresses though. |

OgidiOlu3: We have a long way to go in this country with the way we think. When has dressing become a way to measure arrogance? So if I wear the most expensive cloth, I'm arrogant and proud? Smh. Mark is a man of humble taste, we don't know his true character and honestly, we don't care as long as he's trying to make the world a better place. Abi was it not this same Mark that stole someone else's idea to build "the facebook"? Was it not this same Mark that fuc.ked his friends over because of Facebook? The fact that the man is wearing a polo and jeans does not say anything about his character. He's a hardcore programmer and they rarely dress to impress. You can't tell a lawyer to start wearing polo and jeans to court to show how "humble" he is. Lastly, the quote "the way you dress is the way you'll be addressed" applies to only poor people. Dude! modesty is a virtue. Also don't forget that though Mark might have done some unsavory things in the past, people do change and grow. What if i started judging you by the things you did in 15 years ago? |

jmichlins: If you get your own money flaunt and spend it the way you like. Tired of advising everyone to dress like him. Everyone must not be Mark for heaven sake. Imagine if everyone has that same dress sense what will become of one of the biggest industry in this world(fashion industry). I admire this man not because of his dress sense but because of his ability to start up his own firm as a dropout and still make it to the top Dude, modesty is a virtue. |

jmichlins: as much as I will want to blame the government we as citizens share part of the blame. That was when BATA was the shoe everyone wears, clothes were imported from Aba and not Dubai, there were palm oil in the east, cocoa in the west, ground nuts in the north. Though government needs fiscal policies and huge investment into the power and transport sector to stimulate growth again. Dude, one thing you need to understand is that consumers are rational most of the time in other words, they would find the best product at affordable prices. If your product is inferior then you would see customers slowly flock to the exit for better merchandise. Its the same almost everywhere in the world. |

nwanna89: if you think about it critically, what you posted is what actually will get the economy going. Those youths and women paid to wear his image on shirts will be given money. The people who printed the shirts will be paid. The police, sss and army will be given allowances. At the end, these people will be able to put food on the table for their families.
Newspapers will make money from the ads and be able to pay its staff. Basketmouth nd co entertainers will get paid. Akpabio bringing him to akwa ibom might convince zuckerberg to invest there too.
During the pdp era, a lot of money was released to some frivolities, but at the end those moneys made it into the hands of the poor masses and businessmen. Money being kept in CBN doing nothing is not helping us at the end. Wrong! it was good for Mark to visit the country unofficially and see how the average Nigerian lives. That is an authentic experience as opposed to a manufactured and planned event. |
Politics › Re: Restructure Now, Experts, Afenifere, Others Tell Buhari by davidif: 7:22am On Sep 08, 2016 |
searchiing4love: Restructuring is not the solution but the present status quo. Restructuring is a cunny attempt by easterners to achieve biafra and it won't happen. History tells us Ojukwu was able to instigate the civil war because he was the head of Eastern region. If we go back to regionalism, non-entities like Nnamdi kanu will rise again and start pushing for biafra which is a bad omen for Nigeria. No part of the country must be allowed to split for no reason. Lord Luggard was an intellectual when he merged us together. There is strength in unity. Let's keep maintaining the present federal system **** But its not working. You can't keep doing the same thing over and again and expecting different results. |

For Kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peacable life in all goodness and reverence.
