Desire18:Thank you so much. I sincerely appreciate this from the bottom of my heart. I am grateful |
BigDick70inch:Thanks so much for your reply. Can you tell me more about this? |
Dear Nairalanders, I am going to be quick. My younger brother who is in his early 20s graduated from a polytechnic around 2020. Since then he has been working at my uncle's bar for a monthly salary of 10k, in this economy. Even though he doesn't pay for transportation, rent or food as he is staying at my family house, I am quite worried about him. He might just sit there month after month and before you know it, he is in his late 20s and then 30s. I don't earn so much myself, I earn a little over 150k monthly. I have some savings to around a little above 500k outside my rent and other bills which I want to set him up on any mini business that he can earn something more tangible for himself and grow. I recently got a loan in form of a laptop from the company I work with so I can give him my current one to learn graphics design or some other relevant digital skills. Please Nairalanders, help me suggest some mini businesses I can start up for him with that amount. I am thinking of POS, but with the rate of POS vendors, I don't know how profitable that will be. Secondly, I don't think he has the mental maturity to handle money. He might get tempted to squander the money due to peer pressure. I have seen him blow that amount before in the span of a month. Please help. Thanks, with love! |

Candidlady:Haba Candidlady! After my guy Kriss216 dey shoot him shot like this? |
tutudesz:I disagree with you sire. Change of an agreement must involve all parties involved. One side cannot just decide to change an agreement. If they have the right to change the agreement why did they refuse to pay for Russian oil in rubles after an initial agreement of US dollars? |
How convenient |
Aidejay:If only every other southern town can be like Makurdi. I remember when they tried this their nonesense unity in Makurdi to scatter area, Makurdi boys kuma their head dey hot. They beat nonesense out of those aboki. That is the first and last such ever happened in my 5 years of living in Makurdi. |
I keep saying this. Nigerians act woke but are the biggest dummies. Yes, I said it. Same people form one party, after looting and destroying destroying County will come out with another party and tell us that the other party finished us and we will buy it and vote same people in. Imagine somebody will say PDP's 16years rule is what is affecting Nigeria till today. No be the same people dey rotate party? When it is good, the individual takes credit, when it is bad, they throw a party under the bus. |
Hunger and illiteracy |
Uprightness100:How does this concern Jesus? Dumb fvcks. It's why you will always remain backwards. Politicians loot your treasury and you cannot do Jack about it, because you wait on Jesus dead long ago to do every fvckn thing for you! Person die to clean up your sins, He never try? You still want make he do every fvckn thing for you now and forever more. Wake up!!! Christianity might honestly be the best religion out there, but c'mon, it's about time they make an international law for religion abuse. !!!!!!!!! |
Left Owerri just Saturday here. I must confess, Owerri is a beautiful place. I got to eat Ofe'Owerri and Ofe'Ugba; lovely dishes. Already hunting for an Ada'Owerri. Lol |
Hey man, No worries. It's just a stepping stone to bounce back even bigger. Rather than regrets, pick the lessons. What were the things that went wrong? How can uou find that problem and remember to avoid it on your next project? Honestly, that is how you become good in programming. Started learning a new programming language recently because that is what the company I work for chose to use. I have rewritten some parts of the code up to 3 times (Almost entirely). We all feel that impoter syndrome. But just have in mind that programming has a steep learning curve, once you get past that first stage of climbing, it's just a joy ride down. Persevere bro. PS: If you are in Abuja, hit me up. We can all grow together. One love man. |
As masculine as I am, I my junior school I was placed in pink house. Like, a fvckn pink house ![]() |
Comradewhy:Lol... That's the job of criminal lawyers. Defend the guilty to their last breath. Even though you know down to your bone marrows that they are guilty to stupor. |
Holymann:If you have patience and Python is what rocks your boat, I will say go for it. Honestly, seeking people's opinion on what language to learn is just going to keep you in a rat race roller-coasting back to square one. Just start with whatever you are comfortable learning, when you start working on real life project, that will dictate the language. I started with PHP, learned Laravel framework to some extent and people talked about NodeJS, I stopped halfway and hopped on it. After a while I heard of django and hopped on the train. After almost two years or running round I found that I didn't really gain any usable knowledge. I then decided to fall back to PHP (Laravel). I put down three straight months and learned it building a school management system. Then I got my first offer. Truth be told, working on the company's project, I learnt 70-80% what I know on Laravel because I faced challenges which I struggled to solve and they stuck. Currently, I use NextJS for my frontend and NestJS for my backend. I hopped on them as job demand. My point is, just start with what you are comfortable with. At a point, you will realize that what programming language you know is inconsequential. You can pick up any programming language you believe is best for the job in less than a week. What matters is your problem solving skill, a programming language is just a tool to implement your solution. Cheer and Happy Coding! |
Kingosytex:On a fvcking platter! Reason they will always be weak! Yes, I said what I said. |
If we reserve seats for you then it's no longer equality. You just want preferential treatment. |
What nonesense. If you want be be a politician, be a politician fair and square. Which on is they should reserve seat for you? You want constitutional seat? Then campaign and give the people a reason to vote you. Period. |
Las las Africans still love themselves. |
On a normal day this should be illegal. |
slawormiir:This slawormiir na b*stard o. LWKM. Person teenager. |
DispatcherLagos:Omo, you get mind o! I totally agree with you, when you talk your own another person weh dey complain go thank God. A lot of us come from families like that. I had to move far away from home and stop taking my parents' calls because I know it's complain. One wants to complain about the other. And yes, from my years with them, same, my mum is just not easy. Wants my dad to give her every single dim he makes so she can spend. No sense of savings, likes a luxury life she cannot afford, hence pressuring the poor man. To the point she dragged this man to court, went to his work place telling them to sack him that he is not providing for his family whereas, the contrary is the case. The man is trying with the little he earn. She wants him to give her all the money without considering he will eat and transport to work everyday. Again, she try to tell her kids how the man is a bad person for them to hate the man, who does that ?The last time I asked her "will it give you joy that your kids hate your husband?". Omo, let me rest abeg, so many thing man don see, but man is not a story teller. I still love her so much regardless, I pray for blessings daily and long life for her, when I blow she go still chill. I know say na poverty dey cause all that nonesense. |
