PoliticsRe: NCAA Bans Amaechi’s Aeroplane For Non-Clearance by dBard: 7:50am On Apr 28, 2013
berem: Abeg someone who knows Amaechi by heart and loves him so much should please advise him to stop using his private Jet for now because what happened to Azzazi might happen to him. I can't believe Jonathan could be this daft and silly to engage in a battle with a Governor because of his selfish ambition to run for presidency in 2015.If anything happens to Amaechi, rivers people and Ikwerre in particular will never forgive Jonathan. Instead of intensifying efforts to win election by providing dividends of democracy to the people, Jonathan is busy chasing his so called enemies. Sorry for you Mr President! You are no better than a MILITARY DICTATOR!
There's nothing wrong with what was done. The motive might not be right, but if ur driving a car, as a govt official, without licence n ur caught one day, u ve noone t blame but yourself.
On your second statement, popular opinion is not with Amaechi on this one. He is perceived as siding with outsiders t fight his own, which down South is an unforgivable sin. Add that t his arrogance n u will realise he is not as popular as he'll want t believe. Are his biggest opponents right now not his Ikwerre people. The dude did wrong, he can't win d war. Maybe a few battles but not d war i.m.o

RomanceRe: Reason 4 Cheating...... by dBard: 8:52am On Apr 21, 2013
chikk: I would have agreed with your post 100% if not for the generalisation. Please, how can you generalise all women based on a couple of experiences you had in the past? Have you sampled ALL women? You sound a lot like wackyJ1, except for the fact that you believe in one primary reason why men cheat(not that there aren't more) and that adds to another reason why men cheat - pride anId ego(that is; 'because they believe the tradition permits them to') please, someone tell that to Mr WackyJ the NL oldie. I'm a newbie so I can't!
Sorry f d generalisation but I still stand by my point..which is d primary, not only reason.
Secondly, I don't go around sampling women but I've got female friends n ve bin visiting NL n other social sites n yes, majority of women expect their men t cheat..b honest. Anyway, cheating is wrong no matter d reasons n I continually pray God f d Grace t kip my promise..
RomanceRe: Reason 4 Cheating...... by dBard: 5:48am On Apr 21, 2013
chikk: Your post wreaks of some sort of hatred on women. I wonder why. So you consult your male friends to find out why women cheat but you don't care to find out from women, why men cheat? You CONCLUDE that 'they just jump to assume that guys are dogs and liars'? And you think you're being a fair?

Hmmmm. I wonder what kind of article you're writing o. For your information oga, what your male friends told you are what they THINK is the reason why women cheat. In other words, just as you conclude that women 'assume', you and your friends also Assume.

The best way to find out of people's behaviour is to ask those people directly. You can't ask Mr A to tell you why Mr B behaves the way he does. Mr A can only tell you what he THINKS not what IS. Only Mr B knows why.

It is very unjust and unfair of you and your friends, to conclude on why both sexes cheat! So the opinion of women doesn't matter here? Hmmmm. Na wa o

And you, as a man, think that the ONLY reason why married men cheat is for variety? Ha!!!!!!!!!! Oga you surprise me o, as a man and writer that you claim to be, you surprise me, I swear! Because I, as a woman, can give you 10 different reasons why men cheat, but you come up with only one? And you calim to know why women cheat? You definitely have something against women!
@chikk. Take a deep breath before u pop a vessel.
Men cheat primarily cos they can n know they'll get away with it..n sue me, but I blame women f that, simply cos y'all expect it from the men n therefore are willing t tolerate it wen it happens and instead adopt a tit f tat approach t tins thereby creating a vicious cycle. Y'all don't respect yourselves anymore n r more n more willing t drop standards.
Men never truly grow up n like kids, always need a mother like figure t keep their hands from the cookie jar. Not saying they aren't or shouldn't b held responsible f their actions, they should cos they should know beta but..
Don't know why girls cheat..you can never get a straight forward answer t that..hence d confusion.
Cheating should not b tolerated.

RomanceRe: How To Stop Your Man From Cheating by dBard: 2:57am On Apr 19, 2013
chikk: Keeping a man faithful is not as difficult as it may appear at first. For starters, most of them want to be true to their spouses, but for that extra boost to ensure fidelity, try these steps.

Respect him as you would want him to respect you

Remind him from time to time why he's your man . In other words, take the time to make him feel special as if he's the only one in your life. Tell him how handsome he is every now and then.

Validate your man on a daily basis. Whether he works outside of the house, is currently unemployed or a stay-at-home Dad, (if you're married) your man still needs to feel like a man. You know he is, make sure he knows it as well.

Appreciate all the things he does for you
. It doesn't matter whether those things are big or small, they are worth, at the least, a thank you.

Spice things up every once in a while. Tell him your fantasies, listen to his. Don't be afraid to initiate romance.

Live, love and Laugh. Laugh often with him, not at him. Tell him a joke that you think he might like or clip out comics from the newspaper and place them on the fridge, send text or e-mail messages.

Listen first, and then talk. Let him finish what he has to say before you interrupt. Ask questions if you're not sure about what he said. Do not go with the general notion; all women are nags. Make a difference. Listen more, talk less.

Be his biggest supporter! Men don't like to admit it, but they need reassurances as well. Showing him that you support him and are there with him through day to day struggles will help to ensure that he doesn't have a need for someone else to fill that need.

Don't lose your own self respect. Stop blaming him for everything and understand that some things are beyond your or his control.

Feed him. Men love when a woman cooks for them like mum does. You don't have to cook exactly like her but, it's the action that counts. Women claim men are dogs but remember if you feed a dog he will never leave home!!!

Hold and Cuddle your man, his day can be just as bad as your day. Remember they
are big kids and when they got upset when they were younger, mums held them close.

When leaving him alone make sure he has everything needed. Remember you are
already dressed and ready to go and he is capable of getting those things. It also shows you care about his needs or wants as well.

Don't ever baby him. He will pull away from you. He needs to feel like he's the provider. If you're married, take the family budget to give him what he likes. It's the effort that counts.

Work on yourself. Learn to appear neat and appealing to tour man at all times. Take your time to get those kinky and sexy undies, night wears and dressing that will make him want you more.

Remember, if a man has all he needs in a woman, he will never go looking for another. Be everything your man wants.
Ur Absolutely Right.
A woman that does all these for me will make fidelity a breeze.
U only go searching for wat d heart, knowingly or unknowingly, lacks..
My take tho..
Foreign AffairsBoston Marathon Eye Witness Accounts by dBard(op): 2:11am On Apr 16, 2013
Explosions hit Boston Marathon 3 hours agoPolice clear the area at the finish line of the 2013 Boston Marathon following explosions The Boston Marathon, one of the biggest sporting events in the US, has been hit by two deadly explosions. Debris littered the area close to the finish line, with horrifying images from the scene showing injured spectators and blood-smeared pavements. Here, eyewitnesses give their accounts of the blasts' immediate aftermath.Bruce Mendelsohn, war veteran I heard the explosion, I saw the smoke, and felt a secondary, smaller explosion about five seconds later. I exited the building [directly above the blast], the street was smeared with blood and shrapnel. I saw wounds that were commensurate with a ground-level explosion. I immediately tried to help the first-responders who were on the scene. It was terrifying and people are rightly calling it Boston's 9/11. The scene went from festive to chaotic and bloody immediately. The explosion came from a building and it blew out the glass, there was broken glass strewn all over the front. I saw the white smoke and smelled the cordite or gun powder. I applied direct pressure to wounds and got shirts and other material to try to staunch bleeding. I got a first-aid kit from a soldier who was on the scene. Once the police had the scene under control they cordoned everything off and whisked everyone away.Josh Cox, elite runner and US commentator There were bodies, people laying on the ground. Some runners who had just finished who had just gotten by it were crying, understandably. It's tragic, absolutely tragic. It was a massive boom. When the first explosion went, the whole ground shook. I didn't think bomb, you think there was a transformer, or generator - I took a picture. Right as I took the picture, the next one went off. Once the second one came, everyone was freaking out. Everyone was clearing the area. [The area is] very crowded. It's the Boston Marathon - there are close to 27,000 people running this race today. Just about a half a million people lining the course. The majority make it to the finish line to see... friends and family finish. You can barely walk on Boylston [Street]. It's shoulder to shoulder. You really can't move.Fatma Tanis, journalist I was at Copley Square, 300ft from the explosion. I was interviewing one of the runners and my camera was rolling at the same time. Suddenly I heard a loud noise, like a cannon going off. The ground shook. It was like a heavy falling noise. Then I saw a fireball and smoke. There was mass confusion. People were scared. Closer to the scene people had cuts on faces, others were running. I walked towards the area of the explosion. I saw blood on the floor and lots of bodies. The second explosion was not as loud.Stuart singer, British marathon runner I finished the marathon... I met up with my wife just at the end and we started walking back to our hotel and then we heard the explosions and lots of sirens. We didn't think too much of it, we just thought what was that bang and carried on. Then we saw the news and everyone started calling us. It was just horrific to be honest. There's loads and loads of helpers handing out sheets for runners, handing out drinks - there's hundreds and hundreds of people there - it must be complete chaos. At that point of the marathon you have all the stands where all the supporters are. For the last mile coming in there are literally thousands of people. It's also right by the family meet and greet area.

Meaning he lied, even when the whole thing came out,he said he was sori dat he didn't properly dissolve the first marriage. Now how is all dat the pastors fault? The church is just a victim of circumstance. What do they stand to gain if they knew?.
Boy, stop talking crap. In churches, proper counselling is done n the couple is presented t d congregation at least twice, n sometimesalso @d partners church before d marriage is done.
Secondly,.is d girl in question going t claim she didn't know he was married? A public figure like that??

This I've noticed interacting wit married folks or those intending marry. A good number of them talk about finding a partner wit d qualities u want such as a good background, character etc but u hardly hear them talk about marrying a partner u love. Is d emphasis now on 'qualities' rather than love? Knowing some of these couples must have been crazy in love at some time or another in their lives. Is d focus shifting t having a good home from having a loving home?
So the question now is, do people still marry those they love/ loved n how many actually did.. Is love no longer a prerequisite f marriage? Your thots..
