Christianity EtcRe: Share Your Evidence Based Juju Experiences Here by deadie(m): 9:05pm On Oct 08, 2011
I'm not a believer in juju but i do know that it exists, and its not only a Nigeria or African thing, but i know for a fact that many whites also believe in it (just that they call it by a different name - voodoo).
Just last month here in Abuja, I went to a bank to withdraw an amount of money that I was supposed to use to pay for an exam, I was given a pack of N500 notes and also some loose change which i confirmed before leaving the bank. I kept the money in my purse that never left my hands and proceeded to the office where i was supposed to make the payment which was on the same street with the bank. On reaching there and opening my purse, lo and behold! i saw pieces of white paper roughly cut into the shape of naira notes wrapped with a rubber band where my money was supposed to be. Many of the people around me that day had different theories as to what might have happened, but the general consensus was that it was supernatural. Up till today, I still cannot explain how it happened that money turned into paper right in my very hands but i do know that it extends beyond the physical.
Asking for a video proof is not very realistic, because most of these things happen very fast and unexpectedly and you don't expect people to go about with cameras just waiting for a juju manifestation to take place so they can record it. Asking for photos is no good either because, imagine showing me 2 different pictures of a woman and a cat and telling me that it was the woman that changed to a cat because the transformation process cannot be captured, I'll simply dismiss it as crap and it proves nada.
Two things:
1. You cannot claim to be a non-believer and still believe it exists. That will make you a believer.
2. That 'whites believe also in juju' does not make it true. Every race has some gullible persons, although Nigerians seem to be the only group that derive pride in their ignorance.

pDude:
The worst fool is the person that doesn't believe in God.

If you happen to go through Med school or be a Science student and you end up being an atheist, I'm only sorry for you.

Big slam theory my azz. Whoever postulated that is a slowpoke. Look at the order of things around you. Look at the order in a grain of sand- the well laid out latices in the molecular structure. Look at a leaf and see the order in its structure. Look and examine every single thing around you. Look into its molecular structure (the building blocks of that object) and tell me if a big slam created all that order.

Its like saying after a 10000000megaton nuclear explosion, diamonds, lions, humans, trees, crude oil, life, insects, and a billion other things; all having a definite order were formed.

The only thing a nuclear explosion can bring is destruction- Ask residents of Chernobyl, Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
You wallow in your ignorance.

No surprise here, still living in stone age Afghanistan.

But are you seriously telling me that it takes common sense to be an atheist  huh

bewildering nonsense !!
Yes, it takes common sense to be an atheist.
Common sense like:
If God was fair, why does he allow so much suffering?
If God knew things in advance, why does he create evil men like Hitler, Abacha, etc?
If God was powerful, why doesn't he give some of that power to true Christians so that they will rule with morals and Christian values?
If there was a God, why does he not offer concrete proofs of his existence?
If there was God, why does he create atheist like me, who will deny his existence?
If there was God, why didn't he make humans have a unified religion instead of a bunch of them which makes people killing each other in his name?
And there are many more.

So back to my earlier response, the above questions are common sense questions that should be asked by any rational human. But as I said, common sense is obviously lacking in a lot of people.

And by the way, don't believe everything you read on the internet. If my location says Afghanistan, it may not necessarily mean that I am there.

But most of your quotes and material used to defend atheism have been obtained from white man sources , right  huh

Keep following the white man's religion  cheesy
Atheism does not need any material to defend it, just common sense which most people unfortunately lack.

Martian:
In Things fall apart, Achebe wrote about the white man that went into the sacred shine and desecrated it. My people waited for the disrespected god to strike the oyibo boy but nothing happened. The oyibo people and their new outcast christian followers decided to build their church on a patch of land that was part of the evil forest because my people thought the evil spirits will come and kill them all. NOTHING HAPPENED. In fact the gods, the ancestors and my people were so powerless that even Okonkwo got confused and ashamed and ended up hanging himself.

If juju worked, british people would be speaking yoruba and igbo.
Lol, bros, you REMINDED me exactly what happened in my village. There was this 'evil forest' in my village. Infact, it was the only forest and the reason it wasn't taken up as farmland was because of its evil status. Everybody believe it. There was a problem however. The pipeline from PH to Kaduna had to pass through part of the forest. When the bulldozers came, the black drivers on hearing the story refused to pass cut through the forest. There was this Whiteman from Portugal that later became friendly with my father. He climbed through the bulldozer and cut right through the forest. We all waited for him to die, well to the best of my knowledge, the 'evil spirits' were the ones who ran out of forest. Anyway, it was a good con that protected our only forest and saved some animals early loss of their habitat.

Juju and religion are the same: crap. And by the way, this is coming from someone whose grandfather was a WELL KNOWN native doctor, well believed and widely consulted. My father told me all their tricks.

IslamRe: Why The Lack Of Religious Harmony In Nigeria ? by deadie(m): 11:06pm On Oct 05, 2011
Ignorance, poverty and illiteracy of Northern Nigeria. Yoruba's have muslims, but their muslims do not get their erektion by killing non-muslims. By the way, all religions are crap and there is no space daddy called God or Allah. All are inventions of the cave-dwelling, hashish-smoking men.
CultureRe: Do Igbo's Have Mixed Ancestry by deadie(m): 5:49pm On Oct 05, 2011
Why does the word "IGBO" give non-Igbos so much erektion? We are not descendant of Jews, we are not descendants of Whites, we are Igbos, and we are PROUD of it. End of discussion.

Let me tell you a lil about myself. My best friend's name is Chinedu. And you know what, I have always dreamt of killing Chinedu since I was in primary 0. If Hotel Rwanda type scenario were to occur in Nigeria, the first person I'd kill is Chinedu. I will show no mercy. Why? Because Chinedu is Ibo and I hate Ibos.
And why do you hate Igbos? Can't compete with them? That will be my guess you lazy f00l. And keep thinking that Igbos are powerless, Nigeria would have been a colony of Biafra if not for British and Russian support of the Nigerian side. Igbos are capable of defending themselves, and I am sure the Chinedu you profess to have can kill you before you get to him.
CultureRe: Similar Words Between Hausa/yoruba Languages And That Of Igbo/idoma by deadie(m): 10:51pm On Oct 02, 2011
Pure rubbish people trying to connect languages, especially Igbo and Yoruba. They are NOT related. Have they ever heard of coincidence? Out of tens of thousands of words, they can only find a few that sound or seem to have the same spelling and draw conclusions based on that. Three letter words, which they mostly quote often have multiple meanings:

Oke = male
Oke = rat
Oke = boundary
Oke = share

Ike = strength
Ike = buttocks
Ike = to share
Ike = to tie

Ezi = pig
Ezi = teach
Ezi = outside
Ezi (ziri ezi) = correct

Most 3 letter words in Igbo have minimum of 3 meanings and this creates lots of probabilities to have coinciding words. I find ZAMBIA more similar to Igbo. Here are some of their names

Former president = Frederick CHILUBA (CHILUBA = God is working in Igbo)
Other Zambian names are :
Chibulu, Chibuluma, Chijikwa, Chilekwa, Chilemba,  Chicheba, Chimana, Chimba, Chuma, Chuba, Chiwele, Dube, Hara,
Harawa
source: http://www.zambian.com/zambia/directory/names-zambia/html/zambia-names-c01.html

There are other similar names, but the ones I listed above are 100% central Igbo names, and Igbo people will probably argue with you that no one who is not Igbo bears these names because they are pretty complex names.  Most probably know Chuba (Okadigbo). Absolute bull-crap drawing conclusion based on 3 letter words as they mostly did for comparing Igbo and other Nigerian languages.
