Jobs/VacanciesRe: Unemployment Rate In Nigeria Hits 23.9% - NBS by deadie(m): 5:51pm On Nov 17, 2011
Yea, the ones that are "employed" earn N18,000 minimum wage. What a joke of a country. Until the NLC fight to make the wages and allowances of the legislative and executive arm of the government pegged to the minimum wage, for instance, the president and senators cannot earn more than 10x the minimum wage, Nigeria will remain a joke. Pathetic how idi0ts finds themselves in power and everyone starts to worship them. Wish most of these politicians will be given a public execution.
CultureRe: Are Igbos Culturally Fused ? by deadie(m): 8:19pm On Nov 16, 2011
Wow, you guys really surprise me with the nonsense being discussed here. I am from Abia, my sister is married in to an Imo guy, one of my brother married from Imo, another from Enugu, an uncle is married to an Anambra woman. This is the first time ever that I have heard that Igbos discriminate against each other based on state of origin, except for Onitsha people, because if they marrying a non-Onitsha person makes them ineligible to be Igwe. By the way, one of my best friends is from Onitsha, and we have had some discussion on that. Except someone is seeking ways to introduce some inexistent division, I do not understand the meaning of this thread. For those asking if other parts of Igbo would have joined the war if Ojukwu was from Imo, I think you should grow up, seriously.
Christianity EtcRe: Woman Dies After 21 Days Dry Fasting by deadie(m): 7:58pm On Nov 11, 2011
So she died after 21 days of dry fasting? Darwin's award to her. Good to have that DNA eliminated from the gene pool. Most Nigerians should be sterilized, especially the religious nut jobs. Wonder why Nigerians like breeding like animals in a country without hope. Keep breeding like dogs, soon Nigerian will turn to Somalia and start begging UN for food and little kids will be starving to their deaths. Keep breeding like animals.
BusinessRe: FG Spends N5 Billion On 'Made In China' Buses, Ignores Local Auto Makers by deadie(m): 5:42pm On Nov 11, 2011
Who is surprised? If Innoson were Hausa, you would have seen a massive transportation contract like the one NDDC did with Mazda buses involving 10,000 vehicles all purchased from him. Obasanjo crippled Ibeto to elevate Dangote, the FG has been ignoring Innoson purposefully. For those who do not understand, this is all hinged on the dirty politics played by the Hausas and Yorubas against the Igbos. Useless country. Up Boko Haram.
PoliticsRe: Biafra Built Three Planes In 3 Years? by deadie(m): 3:33pm On Nov 11, 2011
I want to reply some of the ignorant posts here. Ogbunigwe was designed and built to propel small particles to the air intake of low flying jets, since the fighter planes flown by Nigerian and Egyptian air force mostly flew low. However, a resourceful officer, while under attack and about to retreat, asked his soldiers to direct the device against the approaching Nigerian army. They did that and the effect was devastating. It was stated in one of the accounts that a villager came to investigate the effect of what he had just heard, and on seeing the destruction commented "Chei, O gbuo fa na igwe", meaning, "wow, it has has killed them in their masses". That was how the name came about, "Ogbunigwe = mass killer". With the effect know, the design was optimized to serve as a kind of surface to surface missile. The story of the Ogbunigwe made it all the way to the UN when the Russian representative lamented that the Biafrans were using some kind of unknown weapons.

North: Mostly free education
North: Benefits from quota system
North: Politically advantaged
Yet this is the kind of thing they churn out. Maybe it has something to do with that desert religion founded by Mohammed The Perv.

NRI PRIEST:
Chinenyen, you sounded like a treacherous fool!!
From today, I FORBID u from partaking in anything that has to do with Igbo here on nairaland!!! From today go and open as many "NGWA" thread as you can and stay far the phuck away from anything Igbo, what a recalcitrant Arrow!!
You can be repugnant as well as respectful at the same time by giving respect and honor to somebody whom through a lot of people here on nrlnd has learnt alot about the Igbo nation.
Trully, u sound like a BANNISHED OSU!!
Just stay away from the Igbos or I will take the responsibility of keeping your mind straight like an ATURU. LOST FOOL!!
I do not support the viewpoint of this ChinenyeN, I think he loves controversy and thinks he has infinite knowledge on Igbo culture. I understand him though, short people likes being noticed. However, it is sad that at this era, people promote the Osu system, which you have done with this your post. Disappointing that a thread that should promote Igbo views / pride has degenerated into this.

stagger:
I need to ask this question because this subsidy removal plan of hers is going to affect Nigerians negatively.

I have begun to count the cost of such a move to my business, which will definitely go up at a time when I am already hard pressed passing on the same to consumers.

I am considering moving to Benin Republic as a result. Personally, I have witnessed the effect of the policies of these World bank economists starting from 1986. I saw what the introduction of SAP by Chu Okongwu and Kalu Idika Kalu did to the standard of living of my family as a boy. Now I am having to face similar choices as a man and frankly, I need to give my kids better option.

I have a very deep and concentrated hatred for these world bank economists, and when I see Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala talking on TV about this their "growth of the Nigerian economy" at a time when I see all the poverty around, my blood just boils uncontrollably.

Personally, I will like to see her and the haters of the Nigerian populace who have done nothing but stolen this country blind, dragged on the streets like Muammer Gadhafi.

Some will argue that she got Nigeria's debt profile reduced, but I think Nigerians were not told the true story of the cost of that process. I have never known the Paris or London Club of creditors to be that magnanimous when dealing with third world countries.

IN CAPITALISM, NOTHING GOES FOR NOTHING. France and Italy were promised a large chunk of Libya's oil rights, which is why they led the NATO bombardment to take down Gadhafi.

Why should Nigerians pay so much money for something produced from the riches under their feet? If indeed there is subsidy, why does she want the responsibility of feeding this oil cabal transferred to the Nigerian people, when refineries could have been built with the kind of money I know that many people are carting away in Abuja on a daily basis? (I know this for a fact because I live in the FCT and I know some of these people on a one-one basis)

Nigerians, we need to wake up! An unemployed graduate set himself ablaze for Tunisia, Egypt and Libya to be free. When do we wake up from our self-induced stupor?
That will be when YOU set yourself on fire. What are you waiting for, is there no petrol where you live?

PoliticsRe: A Developed And Educated North Is The Last Thing Yorubas And Igbos Want by deadie(m): 7:14pm On Oct 17, 2011
Education is mostly free in the North.
They benefit unfairly from this thing called Educationally less developed state, which means that someone from Imo (or Enugu, Abia, Anambra) State needs a Jamb score of at least 240 for a program that a Northerner needs a score of 200 in a University located in the SE! Yes, that is the case in UNN! In 2000, the Jamb cut off score for accounting in UNN was Imo 248, Anambra 245, Abia 242, Northern State 200! And someone is thinking Igbos and Yoruba's should be worried about their educational success, really?

Ogbunigwes are being mass manufactured for sale to each of the groups.

Aba, Biafra.

The new OG2 11 are refined versions of or the OG 67, which wrecked havoc on the Nigerian Army (and their British and Egyptian merceneries), and is capable of causing quantum damage in a 1 km radius (at lease 10 thousand lives per OG2 11 depending on area of placement). Place your orders now.

Note: the chips placed on each OG2 11 ensures its inactivity within Biafra.

FamilyRe: Why Cant African Relatives Mind Their Business? by deadie(m): 8:30pm On Oct 11, 2011
Hey, in a lot of cases, "African relatives want to be in your business" because they helped make your partner who he or she is. Your "European or American" upbringing is different from that of a typical African. And if you are African, probably you are on the wrong path.
Car TalkRe: The Confessions Of A Crooked Car Dealer. by deadie(m): 10:03pm On Oct 10, 2011
I know somebody who imports cars and he told me that probably more than 90% of imported cars have their mileage reduced. The mileage reduction is mainly done abroad, cost average about 100 USD. VIN probably wouldn't help you. I know a car that was brought in with 60,000k knocked off the odometer, the user is still happy because of the good performance. The only advice is to test drive the car. But as long as finding out if the odometer was tampered with, forget it. As I have said earlier, it is done to virtually all the cars coming into Nigeria.

Religious people question EVERY evidence presented by modern science which have given them EVERYTHING they use today, computers, cars, aeroplanes, microscope, medicine, rockets to send man to space, nuclear weapons to bring the Armageddon they long for, etc, yet the ONLY evidence that convince them about all other things is a book written by cave dwelling Middle Easterners, or some pastors and imam who hear the voice of a space daddy. Beats me, really beats me.

Uhm, I thought he said only one goal would be scored, so his prediction didn't work. And secondly, there is nothing like "prophet of God" and your God is fake. Please, pray to him, and tell TB Joshua to join you and pray, that your weak God should send his wrath to my path. Such is the fear they use to milk their sheep.
SportsRe: Osaze Blames TB Joshua's Prediction For Super Eagles Nations Cup Exit by deadie(m): 5:57pm On Oct 09, 2011
Chai, I don die. You really mean they brought a "prophet" to pray for the team and took TB Joshua serious. I pity Nigeria. Anyway, what do you expect when Jonathan went and knelt before Adeboye. Why do we need a coach in the first place, one of these "prophets" can certainly do better since they believe them.

Christianity EtcRe: Share Your Evidence Based Juju Experiences Here by deadie(m): 11:21pm On Oct 08, 2011
"Top Eleven Signs You're a Christian:"

11- You believe in a book (New Testament) that was written 80 years after your
Messiah died by men who never met him, but continuously deny modern science
books.

10 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other
religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.

9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that
people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical
claim that we were created from dirt.

8 - You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Triune
God.

7 - Your face turns purple when you hear of the "atrocities"
attributed to Allah, but you don't even flinch when hearing about how
God/Jehovah slaughtered all the babies of Egypt in "Exodus" and
ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in "Joshua" including
women, children, and trees!

6 - You laugh at Hindu beliefs that deify humans, and Greek claims about gods
sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit
impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to
life and then ascended into the sky.

5 - You are willing to spend your life looking for little loopholes in the
scientifically established age of Earth (few billion years), but you find
nothing wrong with believing dates recorded by Bronze Age tribesmen sitting in
their tents and guessing that Earth is a few generations old.

4 - You believe that the entire population of this planet with the exception of
those who share your beliefs -- though excluding those in all rival sects -
will spend Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering. And yet consider your
religion the most "tolerant" and "loving."

3 - While modern science, history, geology, biology, and physics have failed to
convince you otherwise, some idiot rolling around on the floor speaking in
"tongues" may be all the evidence you need to "prove"
Christianity.

2 - You define 0.01% as a "high success rate" when it comes to
answered prayers. You consider that to be evidence that prayer works. And you
think that the remaining 99.99% FAILURE was simply the will of God.

1 - You actually know a lot less than many atheists and agnostics do about the
Bible, Christianity, and church history - but still call yourself a Christian.

pDude:
According to your profile, ignorance is bliss. And I'm enjoying every moment of that bliss.

Now let me engage you a bit.
Let's work with probabilities. Look at the entire universe and everything in it. When I say everything, I mean strip everything to its atomic structure (strip every grain of sand, drop of water, drop of blood, living cell, etc). Do you see a definite order in them all? Good! I believe you do.

So with all these KER-ZILLIONS things having a definite order, what is the probability that all these things (uncountable things with definite order) were formed from a single event called the big b.ang theory? What is the probability?

we are still looking at the structures o! We have not yet even gone into their functions which are superbly carried out with a definite order.

So what is the probability that a random event that happened only once could create all these things with all these order?

If you can answer that and calculate it on paper using a mathematical formula that is proven, then I will stop believing in God.

While you are at it, please I want you to detonate 1 million different nuclear explosions and kindly show me an amoeba (simple form of life) that was created from any one of those millions.

Thank you.
And where did you learn about the atomic structure? In your Sunday school class? Here is a popular quote:
do not argue with an ignorant person, for he will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience. And with that, I wish you a good night.

Lamenting for what? People should stop dancing around this issue. Abia sacked, so let Imo sack. Let Jigawa sack. Let everyone sack everyone else. National sacking and deportation of non-indigenes, maybe even give them some light severance packages or something.
Sounds really good, except it doesn't if you were placed in the situation.
