bibe:
Gov Okowa rejecting Biafra does not equate to him rejecting Igbo likewise others in Rivers.
The contentious issue is Biafra which some Igbos even in the SE reject.

Your assertion of all SS tribes roundly rejecting Igbo is "alternate facts" as Igbos still constitute among the majority tribe in the SS (by population).
The topic based on which your brother here created an imaginary rejection of Edo is one which has to do with an Igbo King's opinion on the boundaries of Biafra and not Igbo land boundaries alone hence my taking him up that way.
As per the bolded: the Igboid groups in the SS are found as fractional inhabitants of just about 5 of the 18 senatorial districts in the SS. So how could they be the majority over the remaining 13 when population is a factor considered in creating senatorial districts?

Here is a link on the rejection of Biafra by all SS tribes.
https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/06/biafra-south-south-group-disowns-secession-plans-expresses-confidence-one-nigeria/

For the fact that majority of Igbos want Biafra and have been boasting that a referendum will so reveal, it obviously means that Igbo has become synonymous with Biafra hence the rejection of Biafra by the SS tribes amounts to the rejection of Igbos.

You're still coming to my point! He is making the point that nobody outside of the South East is interested in the Biafran agitation. That is what the thread is about. What is the relevance of quibbling with whether Delta was part of the South East or not? What does it add or subtract from his point?
You may not understand. But those affected understand. Who feels it knows it.

Obi1kenobi:
Your quibbling over this trivial matter doesn't really have anything to do with the thread or original post. The fake Eze basically said that all South-South groups were part of the old Eastern region excluding Edo (he probably just failed to state Delta was always part of the Midwest or Bendel). But his central point was that all these groups outside of what is known as today's South East soundly rejected the Biafran agitation. So why stressing a detail that has nothing to do with the post? Is he trying to claim Edo or Delta as Biafran territory, or is he trying to show agitating Igbos that no one is interested in their Biafran agitation?
Please go through the post again and you'll see where he stated that the Old Eastern Region was a combination of the present SS and SE except Edo. Our argument here is that the exception was the entire Midwest which later became Bendel.
As for the bolded; that 'mistake' is all too frequently made by most Igbo narrators of Nigeria's political history.

If you think your last sentence will make me go back and read that long passage, you're on a long thing (Our 9ja English).

In not more than six sentences, summarize it, and if you can't, knock yourself out.
The OP's post is obviously nearly thrice as long as mine, yet you were able to read it word for word to see the rejection of Edo in it by the Mbaise King who is himself being rejected by his own very Igbo brothers right on this thread.
See, it is not news if an Igbo man rejects Edo or if an Edo man rejects Igbo. These are normal trends. But it is great news for Igbos to reject their fellow Igbo as it is currently happening on this thread.
If Igbos are rejecting each other in the first instance, then which other tribe will not reject them like all the SS tribes have repeatedly done via several formal declarations?

There's an omission sir. First, it was part of Western region. Later broken out of WR and named Midwest, before being named Bendel state during breakdown to states structure and finally - Edo and Delta states.
Thanks for the succinct clarification. In essence No part of Delta or Edo was ever in the defunct Eastern Region as their utterances and ever changing map try to portray.

“I am His Imperial Majesty Eze Nwabueze Soronnadi Ezewiro from Mbaise in Imo State as well as the Lord Mayor of the Igbo Nation and in Diaspora, Eze Agaba-Idu 1 of Igbo kingdom.

Only one person with these plenty names/titles?

Meanwhile, why is everybody denying Edo people? South-East are denying them, South-South are also denying them and worse of all South-West.

Where do they now belong?
Abeg Edo people na where una belong sef?
Please who in the SS is denying Edo? I guess this your Mbaise King is synonymous with SE and SW which are denying Edo according to you?
Meanwhile your Biafra brothers have started readjusting the Biafra map to include the oil bearing LGAs of Edo State.
And why is it that all that Biafrans believe in is attachment so much that the they feel it is abnormal for any people to be entirely on their own? Before you ask why Edo is being 'rejected' by everyone you will be more reasonable to first explain why Edo was the first place Ojukwu the founder of Biafra invaded and tried to annex to Biafra despite knowing it supposedly belonged to the SW as you would have us believe.
You will also do well to explain why Azikiwe the overall leader of Igbos fought tooth and nail to get Edo excised from the Old Western Region together with Delta despite knowing fully well that Edo belonged to the SW as you suppose. You are obviously suggesting that both Zik and Ojukwu were ignoramuses of the highest order, right?

The truth remains that Igbos are jealous and at the same time fearful of Edos because they obviously will be the most difficult people to dominate over by them in a joint SS/SE Biafra.

However, your claim of rejection for Edo is actually an inverted one because it is even the Igbos that have been roundly rejected by all the SS tribes in several declarations through which they all distanced and dissociated themselves from Biafra. From the Itshekiris to the Urhobos to some Aniomas (Gov. Okowa himself inclusive) to Isokos to Ibibios, to Ikweres (Gov. Wike inclusive) to Ogojas to Efiks to Ijaws etc, the Biafra rejection story is the same. I will soon post you a lo link to that effect.

Nigerians and their ignorance. The land now called Delta state has never been part of the south-east. It has always been together with the land called Edo-state, first as the midwest region, secondly as part of Bendel. In precolonial times they were both part of the same country (Benin Kingdom).
Their inclusion of Delta State in the old Eastern Region is not really due to ignorance but due to a fraudulent desire to rewrite history in broad daylight in a very shameless manner all in pursuit of forceful self attachment.
Their maps are always changing. The most recent and most annoying ever now cuts the lower parts of Edo South into the former Eastern Region, and Edo North into the former Northern Region leaving Edo Central and the Northern fringes of Edo South as the former Midwest.
Their level of shameless qualifies for a space in the Guinness Book of Records.

The mistake they make is their uninformed assumption that the "Agege" in the name means Agege in Lagos whereas it is an Urhobo word which has a totally different pronunciation from the Agege of Lagos and means something like "we are petting" him or so in Urhobo.

The audited accounts of Oando will show us more information when it is evetually released in May or june. The problem is how many people are ready to look into it in details. I am interested in our New Head office. i want to know if Oando really owns the building or they will just be tenant. They recently won a pipeline contract with NNPC, I will also want to know who will be chopping it. OER that handles the upstream sector of the group. I want to know who the shareholders really are? I am happy for them that Oil price is trending higher. Will be glad if we can get tp 100+ very soon. It will help our dear First bank and some other banks to recover their bad loans. But will they ever learn not to give loans that will go bad again. Time will tell.

I do not have Oando and I do not plan to own it in the medium to long term.

Sir, i agree with you 1000%. This happen as a result of emotional instability, the result is you get influenced by what people say or analyzed (which may be true, or NOT).
I remembered some few years back when i had just discovered SMN Forum, by then i just came to some money (my first job and was paid lump-sum) so i bought 98,000 units of Forte Oil (FO) @N42 or there about through FBN Securities (now FBNQuest), suddenly i watched FO went down in price so fast it later tanked @N7, SMN Forum members had no mercy for FO, or the management style of Mr Ot---la. Later at about 1 or 2 years or so later, the price started rising, SMN members still did not relent in their negative assertion about the stock, they went on and on that the rise in price maybe a mirage, once the price got to about @N50 i had to quickly sell becos of the negative vibe that was around the shares. It remained on that spot (N50) for a while . Then the magic started, i watched FO share price moved from that point up until it got to N300, all this happened within 8 months after i sold off if i am not mistaken. I watched helplessly, and cried so hard for days, weeks or even longer (it still hurt remembering it).
Emotions, like my Ogas here keep saying, is the koko of this trade. I keep failing at getting hold of my emotions, it is hard work, and patience, to a large part is tied to your state of emotion. Another one, people here in NSEMPA will remember when Oga CP sighted Caverton last year at around N1.40k, i checked it financials and i agreed with him and bought, then somebody here came and said vuuuuuuuuum on his leg the stock is going to car park, my emotion kicked in, i tried getting reassurance from the floor of the Forum and Oga BBB (pls post more often Sir) and Oga CP that all is well and to just relax, i could not, i sold off at a loss, now, that same stock had done 100% since then, and it is still being looked at as a gem that is yet to unfold. And so many other experiences i have had through this trade becos of not being in control of my emotion.
See my brother, emotion is the key here, that is why i agree with you 1000%. Get updates here in NSEMPA, but at the end, should be in control of yourself, and as the saying goes, "Plan ur trade and trade ur plan" according to BBB.
Sorry for the long story, just my experience in this journey so far referencing Oga Loco impatience, it is HARD, especially if you are an emotional being. AM JUST SAYING.
My regards and shout-out to all the Ogas here, you are specially appreciated cos i have learnt alot about myself, and the Forum is teaching me patience which is very vital in life.
So true! Most analysts that predict doom for stocks based on fundamentals alone seem to have no use for the role of sentiments and the fact that only a very small percentage of Nigerian investors have the capacity to study fundamentals and base their decisions on it.
One thing I have constantly observed in NSE is that primordial sentiments are highly built around some stocks like FO Oando and their likes.

Sir Loco is in no way blamable. He is a short term trader and he took the right decision in the circumstances. Short term strategy has it's own advantages and disadvantages. Same with long term strategy.
In stock trading, selling a stock before it starts trending and buying before it starts downgrading is a phenomenon that we all encounter at one time or another and that's not a problem.
That is why some gurus advise that you just patiently pick a stock with formidable and reliable fundamentals and thereafter have your peace. What happens to it in the immediate future is the prerogative of the market, however, rest assured that you would not regret your decision in the long run. One love.
On the condition that you are a long termer.

You are right.
The federalism we were practising back then was a genuine one like that of the US whereby it would take 10 years residency for a non-native to qualify for certain privileges which his host region was offering to her natives. For the fact that Igbos were the most scattered tribe in other regions it meant true federalism of the regional system would deny them such privileges in other people's land for at least 10 years hence they hated federalism and regional system with a passion and did all they could to dismantle it.

Again, the unitary system you introduced, the secession referendum clause you prevented from entering our constitution, and the vestiges of military rule you introduced all still have their effects telling heavily on us all including your very selves hence you are finding it impossible to get the government to conduct the referendum you so earnestly seek.
