I will like to bring to the notice of the commissioner of police in Lagos state,The IGP and to the general public the wicked and unruly behavior of some police men and officers. One of them is one EDE DENNIS ( funny enough he didnt have his number written on the uniform, just his name.) He is attached to alapere or ketu division. Yesterday afternoon after church Mass,we were driving through ketu, kosofe side to link up to visit a friend.Along Orishigun street beside winco foam company we were stopped by a group of policemen who were supposedly checking cars.We were asked to stop and bring out our car particulars( all documents were correct and very recent,so we had nothing to worry about),after checking and he discovered there was no fault. He started by asking us where is the "POLICE AFFIDAVIT,CLEARANCE FOR CHANGE OF COLOUR CAR(meanwhile we have been driving the car for at least 4years now, haven't changed the colour). WE asked him what is the meaning of that,he started ranting.....so since you people dont have this letter ,you will go and explain at the station. We thought he was joking or rather drunk....After wasting our time and expecting us to settle him.Which we didnt, he became angry and decided to insult us..Since you people are not ready to provide the needed document,i will call my men to impound the car. Yet they never did carry out any security check,.,,,only looking at the particulars for a reason to hold us.Now i refused to let him have his way.As we became furious considering the heat,he took the photocopies of the documents we gave him and left, telling us we will come and collect them( with him were more documents collected from innocent motorists). I would like to ask what is the problem with these men on black? Does it mean that the instruction from the IGP is falling on deaf ears? What is wrong with our system...cant these men do their job? It is so sad that we have a bunch of silly men who were employed to protect the people, they end up looking for how enrich themselves. I got to know that the division officers, area commanders and higher officers always send out these men to make money and bring returns to them.... Nigeria has a very long way to go thanks |
Engineering technician? Total blunder. Where on earth are these two different professionals merged together? Guess you guys must be funny |

@ abagworo...What is the business of these federal institutions here? what has Jonathan got to do with the issue at hand? when did Alvan become a federal owned institution? what year? Alvan Primary school,Nursery school and the college of education were fully sponsored by the state government, until few years ago the started the process of handing it over to the federal government. Well go back and read my comment....gratuity and pension arrears of the retired staff is being owed by the state government.Mind you as i type this, the so-called governor is having a meeting with the association of retired staff which still ended with a promise....a promise he made 4years ago and is still making. Please enough of all these stories,if you have no information about the institution i am talking about kindly leave the issue, rather than complicate issues for yourself. thanks |
I can now understand ur sense of reasoning! Too bad you don't get fact clear before you conclude! Well continue with your sentimental defense and praise singing Abagworo: |
I see you as a big political praise singer.well continue....TO ANYONE THAT CARES TO KNOW,WALK INTO THE PREMESIS OF ALVAN IKOKU COLLEGE,Rochas is owing the retirees of the college, primary and nursery school their pension and gratuity. Please even if he claims to have paid the primary school teachers, who is now lying about this other case. Mind you i am talking with facts. Every day he sends his CHIEF PRESS SECRETARY to tell them stories and make promises......yet it is over 4 years now ![]() thank you Abagworo: |
Are you in imo state? i doubt....i hate when people decide to act like they dont know the truth. well for your information all the retirees from ALVAN IKOKU COLLEGE OF EDUCATION HAVE NOT BEEN PAID THEIR PENSION( FOR 27MONTHS) ARREARS NOT TO TALK OF GRATUITY.MANY ARE ALREADY DEAD,SOME HAVE GONE BACK TO THE VILLAGES,SOME CANT TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES.here we are seeing some political praise singers ![]() All thanks to the wicked governor of the state.so check before you conclude. thanks gudluckgreat: |
Did you write a test? well the company is into plastic production for various companies....owned by indians, but most of their staff are nigerians. As for pay, back then it wasnt a good one....dont know about now. That was over five years ago,so i cant tell much about them now. Go and try your best, crixtex: |

This is exactly what is commendable.......trust me,when i started work i had to ask plenty questions. Some sounded foolish and silly.People were wondering if i actually studied engineering, but today i am grateful that those questions took me far. Learning is continuous. AgreatMan: |
Bros i get your point...but basic practical knowledge as an electrical engineer is needed.tell me why an engineer cant identify resistors through color coding or differentiate between capacitors, transistors and thyristors sef , or why he cant use the digital meter. But the fact is that our universities bring out half baked graduates, lecturers are not ready to teach, labs are not equipped and students are not even ready to sit down and study or carry out personal research work. Too bad, those of them we call artisan workers on the streets are practically grounded than those of us that brag as engineers. ![]() MacMaster01: |
;DFrom Experience, could this be true? ![]()

Rochas when are u going to pay Alvan Ikoku pensioners( college, primary and nursery staff)? Their gratuity you have refused to pay! Playing them and making empty promises for years now each time they send delegate. You have stationed your chief press secretary to insult them. Well I don't blame u,All I know is that those old men and women will be alive to eat their sweat..They won't die |

#500000 monthly? You must be kidding.....just like dat! |
Well i get your point. but remove the work ENCOURAGEMENT....how will the masses that elected a leader now come to encourage him to perform? where is that justified. please like i said.....lets leave sentiment Did you take a good look at that road to see that it has NEVER been tarred? yet the kept on re-electing the same person? Are we not the architect of our own problem? Till we hold our leaders accountable,we are just wasting our time dulux07: |
WATCH OUT.....i will take a tour round the Popular MILE 12 market soon. Let the world see the dump site that we call market, where we buy what we eat daily... ![]() |
here is a picture of the House of Representative that has been there.. Another picture of the end of the road at ikodoru junction by kosofe market. Another is the kosofe bus stop where kek load to alapere.

For sometime now we have been talking about politics and what the past leaders have done to win our votes. But we fail to point to our leaders their total failure and address the major needs of the people. We go about singing and dancing to their loud praises.Well the fact is that we will end up selling our truth to the dust if we fail to hold our elected leaders responsible Today i have decided to post some pictures of very bad roads in some part of Lagos, as i was opportune to come across. The road is called ADEBIMPE,a long stretch of road within the MILE 12 market. Please to all those fellows who dont think before the talk, who dont want to look beyond sentiment,to those who have been singing the praises of their leaders,to those who have sold their conscience all because they have been blinded by empty promises.....i say welcome to the reality that will surely catch up with you. All i want is for the whole world to see what our leaders have been doing... 1.This road have never been tarred. 2.This road serves as a major link from ketu to ikosi 3.This locality have re-elected their state and federal house of representative. 3.The shops and businesses around here pay tax monthly.' 4.The road is like this now that it has not rained.....ask me what will happen after a heavy down pour. 5.This road links you to ikorodu road.... 6.There is the picture of the rep by name TUNDE BRAIMOH I dont want to see people defending anybody....the truth is glaring to us. Till we wake up from our slumber, our elected leaders will keep on playing us like a game of chess. thanks.

Yes,the NSE you had in school was more like student membership.Which has little or no significance outside the school. COREN comes after you have met all the requirements to be a corporate member of NSE FABBYBLACK: |
First of all,one year =+ experience isnt enough to be able to join....but that is not to say you shouldn't pursue it. Like i told the other guy, look for a local NSE branch and register to be attending meetings and workshops.Networking will definitely make your membership easy. There you will get most of the answers you need.It will make it easy for you to also get a senior engineer as a supervisor too.
