Got my first decision mail from University of Notre Dame. I was rejected for PhD Chemical Engineering. I've 3 more pending decisions to go for Fall 2024 (all PhDs). Finger Crossed, I still believe my moniker will come to pass inshallah .

Thank you for your prompt response. Do we have Dropbox dates faster than the regular appointment date? If dates are easy to get can I apply with my new passport while holding on to the old one( Already bought my ticket)?

Good afternoon Guru in the house.

My present visa will expire in a few months I plan to travel before then. However, I also intend to book ahead for renewal via drop box. The issue is my previous passport has a different surname from what I have now.
Am I eligible for a Dropbox or physical interview? How does Dropbox work now for Someone who is not in Abuja or Lagos are we to submit to DHL in our state or arrive at the location to submit?

Please help me with clarification.

I have an msc degree, I'm 31, I don't have blood relative in canada but I know people in canada, I work in tech (I'm a Cloud DevOps Engineer AWS and AZURE), I have over 3 years work experience in Nigeria and I'm planning to write IELTS General soon.

Kindly advise with the best Canada PR route I should take. Also, when it comes to WES evaluation for me to get into the PR pool, will I do WES for my undergraduate degree? Or WES for my masters degree? Or both?

Uncle K, a potential visitor/tourist is not an immigrant? An immigrant is a permanent resident & a visitor/tourist is simply a visitor as the visa category says. You should probably take some time to carefully read about how LMiA works and the visa category change policy you alluded to.

I remember last year when this whole VV getting LMIA was a hot topic, some folks here took their time to explain how it works and how difficult it is. But they were called several derogatory names for providing intending travelers with the truth.
Most of the people that travelled last year couldn’t get a job within 6 months, if anyone successfully got one pls correct me with proof.
A lot of them claimed asylum, taking advantage of a system designed for countries currently experiencing war or severe natural disaster.
While I understand that Nigeria is probably somewhere no one wants to be currently with the harsh economic realities and terrible government policies, it’s always better to japa legitimately.

wahala..the economy is just getting worse and worse...ethiopian airline wch provided affordable flights to usa, is no longer cheap. over 3m naira now for a return flight.
pls who knows of any cheaper way to get to washington or houston area with below 20hrs total flight time that cost less than 2m naira?

I’m curious . I can see that people going to resume for fall 2024 can actually start attending visa interview a year in advance. However, if there are no near dates, can one still apply for expedited appointment in this case?

Let's be logical in our reasoning with facts: Canada is capping student visas due to concerns about pressure on accommodation, health facilities, and job availability. Many Canadian even residents are complaining, and it seems unlikely that the issuance of visitor visas will continue in large numbers. This is especially true considering the majority of arrivals are claiming asylum. Some provincial governments have already expressed concerns about the costs incurred in housing asylum seekers, turning it into a political issue.and many here think the liberal want to lose election due to immigration as the conservative are already blaming the govt for the problems ..l guess many people here do not know the politics of the west..the approval rate will drop drastically this year!

[2] what credentials/experience/qualifications do the said mock interviewers have? (e.g. travel history/visas possessed, immigration status, educational background)
[3] does this thread not provide sufficient "intel"? (I got CA and US visas on first attempt using info from this thread)

On this thread Q3 last year, I cried out to looking for IV appointment dates for my family. They joined me Nov last year. Today I just got their mails from USCiS. I was looking for 3 appointments. There are 3 letters there. I live in California, the address is CA on all the letters.
You can Google the street names showing in the 2nd picture. And I am sure you know what is in the photo too with your experience as a visa agent.
