Romance › Was She Cheating Or A "Harmless" Chat? by Decryptor(op):
[b]Sorry for the lengthy typing but i just need to explain this scenario in details

I visited a friend of mine over the week and discovered he was devastated and worried. His reason: He suspected

that his fiancee was cheating on him. At first, i gave it a wave of the hand as nothing serious but the manner in

which he was moody was so worrisome so i decided to ask him why he thought so?

He explained that he called her on phone the previous day in the morning by 8 am and heard the sound of a

television at the background. (She is currently serving in Ile-Ife...the same town which she schooled (OAU)...He

knew that she didnt own a television so was curious to know where she was...She replied that she was in a

"friend's" place who happened to be her fellow corper who turns out to be a guy. He said he didn't have any

problem with that and suspected nothing until he called her again by 9:30 pm that same evening and still heard the

same Television noise at the background...He inquired if she was still in her friend's place and she said yes, he

asked what she would be doing there by that odd hour?...according to him, she flared up and retorted in igbo

language (cos the guy was yoruba) to him that he should stop monitoring her and hung up.

This according to him made him so restless for the rest of the night; especially because of the fact that when he

called her earlier in the day and they were about to end their conversation, he said the usual thing lovers say "I

LOVE YOU" but she didn't reply and just dropped the call.

I told him not to give such matter a serious thought but my words of encouragement fell on deaf ears. He was so

much in love and couldn't bear the thought of her being with another man.

The following day which was a Wednesday, he waited for her to finish her Community Development programme which according to her

they were having that day and then called her in the evening when he felt she must have freshened up for the day

and was about to retire to bed. According to him, he tried her number and it rang once but there was no response

and the next thing, the line went dead.

Her number was "switched off" through out the rest of the night till around 8:30pm the following morning. This

made him put an urgent call to me and when i got to his place, he told me he wanted me to keep him company in

other to get his mind off the past events. I obliged and stayed with him cos i really did not have much to do in

my place of work that day and decided to keep myself busy with his laptop and modem.

But this guy was not just himself as he kept on prancing up and down in the living room. I really felt sorry for

him and an idea hit me.... i told him that we were going to find out if his fiancee was really cheating like he

suspected and he asked how?

I told him that one of the ways to find out was to get to her phone or any social networking site she uses and is

fond of but since she wasn't present for us to use her phone, we'll make do with a social networking site.

I asked if she was in BBM and he said no but that he was aware that she chatted alot on facebook via her phone. I

then decided that we should try facebook. I requested for her email address which she gave me and then within

10mins, i "hacked" into her facebook account (Pls don't ask me how cos i ain't telling)and to God who made me, it

was a decision i almost regretted instantly because there staring at us was the "unbelievable"!!!

My friend's fiancee was having the time of her life flirting with some of the guys on her list and there was this

particular one which made him almost run mad.

It was the one involving a guy whom his fiancee met in the bus while she was coming to visit him for the second

time in Abuja some days after Easter. This particular guy was younger than her and according to my friend, when

she got to his house after her journey, she called him to inform her that she was in her fiancee (my friend's)

place already.

My friend said she told him how they met in the bus and chatted together until they got to "Gwagwalada" a suburb

where my friend resides before the main town in Abuja where this other guy was staying so she alighted first from

the bus before him. My friend just took it as one of those things and didn't give it a thought until something

strange began to happen...

She told my friend that this guy offered that she pays him a visit to Garki "for those who are familiar with Abuja

but my friend said No cos he believed that if she should visit Garki, she shouldn't go alone but after thinking

about how bored she might be at home, he decided she would go the next day to visit the guy just because according

to him "He trusted her". he told her that she would go the following day after he would have provided her with

transportation fare cos it was quite a distance.

But somehow or the other, he did not give her the money to go out to meet him and so she arranged that the guy

comes to visit instead.
.
This particular guy came to visit my friend's girl in his absence and takes her out while my friend is out to work

hustling for the day and when he calls her to know how she was doing, she tells him that this guy took her out. To

be honest, my friend said he didn't feel bad about it at all and when he came back that day, she narrated some

details of their outing.

The following day, this guy still comes around and takes her out again, gives a break for a day or two and then

takes her out again until the day before the girl was supposed to leave back for her base.

That particular day, my friend says he got back from work at around past 8 in the evening and his fiancee is not

at home, he calls her on phone and she says she's out with this guy. He shrugs and fixs dinner himself and when

she arrives after about an hour, she comes into the house and says the guy brought her back and is outside...she

also says that she wants to stay outside with this guy before he leaves.

My friend in a bit not to be "possessive" says ok to this and she goes outside, spends another 30-40mins with the

guy before coming to tell her fiance that the guy wants to say hi to him.

Even though my friend was boiling on the inside of him esp because of these ongoing events, he still keeps his

cool, goes outside to meet the guy and they exchange pleasantries...he even thanks the guy for keeping his fiancee

company because he said he was quite considerate of the fact that she would have been bored while he was away from

home.

Later that night, he decides to make his feelings known to his fiancee and tells her that he was not really

comfortable about the closeness between the guy and her...As usual, the girl switches to defensive mode, reminding

him how she is older than the guy and how impossible it was for her to feel anything for him. She gets upset and

says my friend is suspecting her unnecessarily and then turns the other way and faces the wall in bed refusing to

talk to him for the whole of the night until morning.

Just because of the love this guy has for his fiancee, he apologizes and says he's sorry and everything ends

there......OR SO HE THOUGHT

Now back to the day i hacked into her facebook account....This same guy whom she claimed to be "just a friend she

met in the bus" and a "small boy she can never have feelings for" is now the one she was chatting with in a

romantic mode. The chat according to the dates started from the day after they first met in the bus until sometime

in the latter part of July (before she went for her service) ...I took snapshots of them so as to keep them as

proof for him to confront her. You need to see the way my guy was trembling with emotions and tears while he read

this messages which you are about to read in just a moment.

I couldn't take them all cos facebook blocked the account when she tried numerous times to log into it

unsuccessfully. But from the ones you can see, i would like you all fellow Nairalanders to please comment on the

following:

1)Was this actually a harmless chat which was done for fun or did she have ulterior motives? Because up till now

she still claims the chat was just to keep up the conversation going on between them. (I don't see how this makes

sense).

2) Should my friend reconcile and go back to her because he called her the night we made this discovery and told

her it was over between them and she has been pleading ever since. (Though i suggested that he should stick to his

ending the relationship because a partner who intends to or cheats will always do that if given a second chance.)

Please i need answers on these 2 points and any other matured suggestions are welcomed. Please and please, try to

stick to the topic and no harsh words....thanks.

PS:I humbly and earnestly request this topic be taken to the front page in other to get more audience and timely

response.

If they are tolerant, why did the masquerade cult clash with the muslims in one of the states in the west?...and oh; if i may add, a popular Yoruba pastor said he was not going to render financial assistance to his sister because she is a muslim. Religious tolerance is all about the society and it starts from individuals who make up the society and the examples cited above should give a clue as to the answer to the question...They are not religious tolerant but confused!
