@POST I am worried that federal and state governments remained silence over this issue. In fact, the most ridiculous crap about the issue surfaced when certain trolls went into ecstatical tailspin because a loony governor provided transport fares for youth corpers. Such action is not governance but a display of despicable social handout at the wrong time. State governors should have held the federal government and state government in northern region responsible for this heinous act. All Nigerians should challenge the concept of One- Nigeria and expose the root cause of this unacceptable behavior from northern region. This is beyond providing transport fare or silly evacuation of youth corpers from their country. It is mindboggling that everybody is behaving as if nothing happened. Any action, including war or disintegration of Nigeria, aimed at stopping the incessant political, religious and ethnical induced mayhem in northern region of Nigeria should be considered. |
@POST This is an arrant nonsense. The so-called youth corpers are grown individuals who are capable of extricating themselves from danger. If they can transport themselves to any airport in northern region from where they were taken to eastern region, why expect any governor to evacuate them. Besides the riot happened in the corper’s country and many of them are old enough to join the country’s military. The safety of every citizen of Nigeria rests with the federal government of Nigeria as the first respondent. Who was responsible for deployment of the so-called youth corpers? However, Obi should be repudiated if he allegedly made false claims. |
@POST Does Sanusi understand the degree or nature of electricity supply in Nigeria before issuing retarded policy? Banking technology is zero in Nigeria due to lack of electricity, the personals of the institution are junk judging from the personality of Sanusi, Nigerian society has no buffer in place to sustain institutional trust yet the CBN dreamt of this ridiculous monetary policy. Sanusi and CBN are totally removed from the business and monetary culture found in Nigeria. Even in countries with technological know-how and workable banking system, huge amount of cash withdrawal and payment for business transaction are allowed. Anyway, this type of junk is expected from a jungle called Nigeria. |
The cowardness of Igbos is really disturbing to say but the least. what baffle's me most is the that, whenever even ijaw rag tag thugs sniffle, the horror- stricken pathetic Igbo nation cacthes cold. Going by the majority of post on this thread, one will wonder why would the IJAWS be doing the fighting? Why not the Igbos taking 'revenge'?? The other day a common armed robbery incident at EKET was celebrated throughout the Igbo nation as the beginning of reprisal Be it as it may, start selling of the HUGE properties in abuja and some other northern location, in advent of ANY attack by MEND, cos the retailiation is gonna be catastrophic and devastating I will put my money on those Almajiri's turn suicide bombers, ANYDAY! WE ARE PEACEFUL IN THE WEST.
You are one of the most moronic imbeciles on this board. I pity your parents for efforts invested in you yet the outcome remains socio-politically regrettable and futile. I lived in Yoruba land and would say no ethnic group holds monopoly to stupidity but you appeared to be an exception to the fact. Granted you are pale with historical facts, Ndigbo hold the act of not killing their guest to the highest esteem. Anybody or group of persons that gleefully kills guests or visitors is a pitiful coward and demented hooligan. During the 1966 pogrom in the northern region of Nigeria, easterners in general and Ndigbo in particular would have visited the Hausa, Fulani, Kanuri, Tiv, Nupe, Berom, Gwari, Angas, Igala, Idoma and Bachama who settled in eastern region with death. But easterners were not petty hoodlums who would harm their guests rather they gave their guests free passage to northern region. However, easterners were willing to meet any region of the federation in battle field. Most westerners and northerners, learned or soldiers, who joined other Nigerians and people of distant nationalities to precipitate a war against Ndigbo and Biafrans would readily inform not to wake the sleeping lion. I am not use to chest- beating but will reiterate there is no single ethnic group in Nigeria that could cross a war path with Ndigbo and live to tell the tales. By the way, you can continue to wallow in idiocy. |
spyder880:Even though I am not given to praising the political operatives in Nigeria, please I urge you to give praises to whom it is due. Even in the God’s own country such as USA, there are ghettoes that would make an inoculated pig suffer dysentery too. In one of the previous posts, one loony injected a sort of comparison between Chime and Fashola. Anyway, I must say that Fashola is one, if not, most overrated governor in Nigeria. Any goat, even without pouring cement into hole in Lagos, will look good as governor of once federal capital city turned into a state called Lagos State. |
@OP Any form of engineering project or practical joke can not be based on assumptions or even on educated assumption. In order to obtain a traffic volume, physical counting must be conducted by counters who will also target peak periods of the day, week, month or year. Any engineering project concluded on mere assumptions is akin to a house built on sand. |
mikeansy: This is a spot on comment with philosophical dressing. |
@OP Honestly, I do not think that democracy is remotely meant for Africans. How could any person with junk brain declare anybody a winner when election did not take place in one local government and many wards of three local governments? If supporters of Rochas Okorocha candidature want him declared a winner now, I assure them a rude shock in future because Court of Appeals will over turn the result. Election is not a matter of individual’s wishes that need to come true. The people who rioted because their preferred candidates from a particular party were not declared a winner are fools and need to be shot. The gubernatorial election in Imo State is inclusive and must be brought to electoral conclusion when election is conducted in all the local governments in the state. |
Desola: See dia blood stained mouths, ole, barawo banzas! Rather than focusing on their region, they always want to drag the SS into them. These people can't even strategize without the oil in the SS in their sight. They are claiming Rivers state (the Ikwere ppl who can't stand their sight). It just goes to show that this region cannot sustain itself without the help of others! Awon ole jatijati! The above post confirms stupidity is inherited and can not be cured. Even the people form Ogbia LGA in Bayelsa would inform anybody that the inhabitants of LGA are Igboid and Ijoid. You have done the people of your stock a lasting good by reading the history of crude oil exploration in the cesspit called Nigeria. It is pity you have been fed conjectural crap by your forbearers who joined in a war against Biafra because of crude oil. I have insisted the offshore crude oil belongs to all Nigerians and I guess you know the folks who cried the loudest because of such proposition. If onshore crude oil production in the jungle called Nigeria should be strictly limited to state ownership, Ondo State has no crude oil and so-called SS will cease to exist. There is no group of people in Nigeria that could equal Igbo land in terms of onshore crude oil production. The idiotic and draconic boundary adjustment as well as abandon property saga stage-managed by the detractors of Ndigbo to remove crude oil instances in Igbo land and endanger self-doubts among certain subgroups could not dampen the spirit of Ndigbo. |
@POST If there was a remote power shift in Nigeria, one way or the other, it was due to wildly known conspiracy between northern region and majority of ingrates from southern Nigeria. Right from 1964 to 1970 when the political foolishness adopted by majority of southern Nigerians conceded the so-called shift of power to northern region, politicians and scholars from the northern region with the help of goofy southerners arrogated “born to rule” stigma to themselves. |
Uche Ciroma, I've read your post. Let me ask the following questions according to each of your points; About Point 1: First of all, the tax/duty/charges being collected at the port does not go to Lagos government coffers but to the ministry of transport. Also, those infrastructures that you mentioned, are only promises which would or would not be fulfilled. We only hope he builds befitting terminals in Enugu and Owerri airports, speed-up the riverport development, 2nd niger bridge, erosion devastation containment as well as political posts such as Senate presido. But on the whole, some developments are not just for the SE eg. power reforms, security improvement, better healthcare facilities etc. These are nationwide developments. About 2: You're a sharp man. How did you know our eyes are firmly on shifting the economic base from lagos to, the SE?About 3: GEJ didn't promise Ndigbo any political post so, don't be misled here. Its even unconstitutional and unprofessional to explicitly do so by him. His mind would've been made up of his intentions by now. Its all about zoning within the PDP and as at now, it seems the SE is much better-off to muscle for some top posts like Senate presido etc. We still have COAS, internal affairs etc. About 4: PH has always been an Igbo city. Never mind what u've heard on the contrary. It used to be called "Igwe Ocha" in igbo which means "white land" or ("white sand" sort of, due to its close proximity to the sea where u're mostly to see white sand.) About 5: No. GEJ isn't that kind of person. He most likely will like the contracts to go to competent hands which would define his infrastructural legacy. He wants people to remember him for specific things that moved the country forward such as the electoral conduct etc. You should have asked why he didn't give the post of INEC to another Igbo man (as compensation for removal of Iwu) or another southerner? About 6: Please how did you come about this? Who told you he doesn't have the interest of a particular set of people or region at heart? What evidences could you point at?
I salute you on the efforts to educate Alj Boko Haram or Uche on political shenanigans in Nigeria. Posts, whether air, sea or land, are exclusive domains of the federal government. However, posts constitute major economic infrastructures of any country |
T9ksy:I know hatred could drive some people into the state of irrational behavior but never knew it could also drive few individuals into pitiful insanity. The inconsequential aversion you developed for a particular ethnicity in Nigeria has conspicuously degraded you to a psychiatric patient. Ndigbo had never wanted anything that belongs to any region within the cesspit called Nigeria. Not even when cocoa and groundnuts held sway in Nigeria. Ndigbo competed fair and square. The British had wanted political power in Nigeria to rest in the hands of northern and western regional politicians but every election conducted from 1951 to 1959, whether regional or federal, turned British operatives into minnows. I guess you did not know that ministerial appointments of the era were determined by electoral wins. During 1954 federal election, NCNC won western and eastern regions. Due to this electoral feat, NCNC had to produce eight federal ministers with portfolio while NPC had four. Zik and leadership of NCNC made sure western and eastern regions produces equal number of ministers with portfolio. In civil service and military, the British maintained the policy of meritorious intake and ascendency |
We are victorious. . .Acn will come to ibo rescue very soon.it has started with NGIGE.
It appears that ACN is one of the political parties in the jungle called Nigeria. A good look at the ACN emblem and manifesto does not indicate Yoruba or south west region represents the party. If few trolls are bent on making ACN a Yoruba political party, I say so be it. |
Kobojunkie:I guess you were predisposed to a different Nigerian history. The Biafrans were not the people who started wanton destruction of lives and properties because there was a change in power structure in the jungle called Nigeria. If I may recollect correctly, Biafrans stood up against murderers who were sacred to the bones because of the change in power structure. I am not surprise about your position on this issue because you have been known for standing fact on its head. |
ezeagu:You should know commonsense has deserted some of these moronic fools. |
gadogado:Bringing untold mayhem is not the reasonable manner to show unhappiness about the truncated zoning in PDP which has no relevance to CPC’s manifesto. I think boycott of the entire election would have been better option to register political discontent about the zoning issues in PDP. No intelligent person can proffer that rioters in northern region were the supporters of PDP. The miscreants, through the urging of their political leaders, validated the system by partaking in the electoral process only to turn sore losers. Granted the power rotation via zoning as entrenched in PDP's party constitution is good for jungle called Nigeria, what stopped the murderers in northern region from massive protest against CPC, ANPP, ACN and LP for the absence of the zoning clause in party constitution? |
It daunts the pillar of sanity that few Nigerians are willing to put argument in favor of Muslim rioters or the originators of mayhem that befell northern region at the conclusion of presidential election. Did the Muslim miscreants from northern region fail to understand that Nigeria is a secular society? What actually compelled the rioters not unleash their anger on the massive rigging of election that saw a Muslim in the person of Yar Adua as a winner in the previous election? Only a fool will conclude the mayhem recently experienced in northern region of Nigeria was merely spurred by electoral malpractices and targeted towards Muslim PDP members in northern region. |
Were the Yoruba who fought a civil war under banner of “One Nigeria” and orchestrated same through juju music irredeemably idiotic? We have seen this tribal and sectional politics that is liken to a gambling deck with six shooters stacked under the table. Do not go for six shooters when out gamed as the region did in 1965. |
noblezone:You could not be more correct. This is what I wrote about federalism when few trolls kept shouting “Ironsi killed true federalism in Nigeria”. Ironsi could not have possibly killed anything that never existed. |
@OP Few dimwits must be unequivocally informed they do not hold monopoly on historical facts. |
@OP It seems you totally impervious to the mayhem in northern region of Nigeria at the conclusion of presidential election. You seem predisposed to worry more about fantasy than reality. |
Kobojunkie:It appears you feel happy posting disjointed analogies of the facts. Do you not think it is act of foolhardiness to throw issue of Biafra into the Libyan mess? Biafrans sought to secede and form sovereign nation while the so-called eastern Libyan rebels are seeking to overthrow legitimate government of 42 years. |
Election mayhem: 300 patients with bullet wounds By Luka Binniyat KADUNA — “I was sleeping outside with some of my brothers when we were jolted from sleep at about 2 am on Sunday by cries of women and children, and pandemonium all around us”, recalls Zakaria Elisha (25), a Christian and trader of Nasarawa, a Christian dominated suburb of Kaduna, on his sick bed at St. Gerard Hospital, Kaduna, his face swathed in bandage, soaked in blood. The soldiers were said to have turned on some residents for no just cause. “A soldier broke down our gate, came into our compound and ordered everyone to get into his room and lock up”, said Naomi Amos 23, an applicant, who spoke on her hospital bed at the ECWA Health Centre, Narayi, Kaduna last Thursday. “As I made haste to get my things and move in, the soldier said I was too slow. “He hit me on the head with a club and was cursing Yakowa and Goodluck.“I fell on the floor, and he hit me again. “But I blocked it with my hand, which now has a fracture, by the way I am feeling. “When he wanted to hit me for the third time, an old woman rushed at him and said she should be killed instead. “That was how my life was saved”, she said.
It is a very disturbing to read that few soldiers were also involved in the post presidential election mayhem in northern region. The presidency must thoroughly investigate the actions of the alleged soldiers who were shooting innocent civilian while uttering few choice words against Yakowa and Goodluck. It must be recalled that Aguiyi Ironsi overlooked such transgression by soldiers of northern region in 1966 and he ended up being murdered by soldiers under his command. |
seanet02:You and the so-called adorable Ekiti dame are on impeccable roll today. It has been one laughable crap from you followed by another. |
@OP This is an absolute waste of Internet bandwidth. Osun State does not have able-bodied men on its staff talk less of militia. What task force if I may ask? I can not comprehend these worthless and extroverted tendencies such as turning provision of mere transport fees into task force management. Most every obscure state broadcast fee allowances extended to NYSC members from the state? I do not even think Osun State has any visible authority over issues within NYSC. |
seanet02:Statement of a nincompoop!! |
The smart thing to do is go to the North and do something there. Cowardice will not let them because the Hausas are in great #s there. Why attack innocent civilians who have not touched the hairs of S'ners since this election period? Nobobody is asking you not to do your thing, just do them in the right place.
I hope it will not take you the whole year to comprehend the alleged incident in Oron, Akwa Ibom State was more of armed robbery than reprisal attack. |
afam4eva:Some communities of Ekpeye are in Bayelsa State while some are in Rivers State too. |

Their people are also affected by the uprising, but they tend to make it as if it's only Igbo that are affected I guess Igbos tend to speak out more against these attacks while others just take it in strides.
This same pattern that was employed in 1966 after the pogrom in northern region has been resurrected today. Some born cowards from southern Nigeria will eventually loose their voice by shouting “only lives and properties belonging to Ndigbo were lost in recent riot in northern region of Nigeria!!!” |

That cancels out any of your arguments about religion. People were simply much more emotionally invested in this election. Power has to be shared, its either that or war, you pick. Turn into somalia or share power! The principle of rotation suits Nigeria's make up!!! Anyway, most people posting in NL are not sensible and will have no say whatsoever in who becomes the next president of Nigeria. Your slave masters will decide.
