seanet02:Shut your putrid mouth up, monkey. Is Ojukwu’s behavior the final arbiter on who gets the presidential mantle? |
^^^ Last time I checked though, Nigeria is under democratic system of government. The presidency does not create laws that affect you and me but formulates policies which are subject to debate especially at the National Assembly. The economic policies that will have adverse or favorable effect on Ndigbo do not necessarily flow from the presidency. In fact, greater numbers of such policies emanate from National Assembly where laws that govern Nigeria are erected. So I do not think presidency should be the priority of Ndigbo except those who think going to Aso Rock is feat that must be accomplished. |
Chilean government should be applauded for being able to organize assistance from USA. |
Disintegration!!! |
revolt:Bros, as you rightfully stated in your post, I am not into these goofy nomenclatures such as SS, NN, NNE or NNW. If it is the Efik, Ijo, Urhobo or Itsekiri that exudes hatred towards Ndigbo, such group should be stated publicly instead of the so-called SS. There is no doubt of nonexistence of political middle ground between the people of southern Nigeria. I have no intentions to encourage any form of mutual political understanding among the people of southern Nigeria this time around. |
Bluetooth: From being useless to why are you Igbos not spending it in NigeriaThe ignorance in you is becoming hilarious. Even Becomepoor had shown a touch of class on this classless post. Are you sure to standup and fight like Biafrans or urinate in your pant when drunken northerners show up? It is an apparent display of idiocy to compare Biafran money notes with these jokes. |
wesley80:I guess you do not have comprehensible problem. I did not write that I fed him. Besides, it is a metaphoric expression |
Ibime:You are really the son of your grandfather. MEND had unequivocally assumed the responsibility of the bomb blast in Abuja. The persons to be investigated are the GEJ, Director of SSS, Ministers of Internal affairs and FCT, IGP and Director of National Security Agency. It is important that Nigerian public should be made to understand what these people knew about the bomb plot and when they knew it. |
Anybody that bites the fingers that fed him/her is capable of anything. GEJ is a double-mouthed President and amounts to no good. |
T9ksy:I am not surprise that latecomer tag on Ademoyega was another side show added to the trail of denial which has engulfed the January 15, 1966. Bearing the unfortunate scheme of academic laziness, one wonders why seemingly bright individuals have failed to shame the act of denial by either reading books titled “Why We Struck” by Ademoyega or Nigeria’s Five Majors” by Gbulie. In fact, I shall not be surprise if peeps from certain section of Nigeria will posit that Ademoyega was not involved with January 15, 1966 coup. As of July 1965, Ademoyega, Nzeogwu and Ifeajuna have started talking and recruiting officers for the revolution. In his book, Why We Struck, Ademoyega detailed the part he played in the process leading to the coup of January 15, 1966. Ademoyega was not only a coordinator but had a lead voice on who should be recruited. Case in point was the recruitment of Major Donatus Okafor. Even when Major Timothy Onwuatuegwu gave the names of the foundation members of the intended coup to the Captain Ben Gbulie, he said there were five majors in all; Ifeajuna, Ademoyega, Okafor, Nzeogwu and Anuforo. It was these five majors that gave rise to the title of Ben Gbulie’s book. |
Katsumoto:Would you have been happy if there were more than one Major of Yoruba extraction among the coup plotters? Even if there were six (6) Majors of Yoruba extraction involved in the coup, you would have found a reason to label it an Igbo coup. |
T9ksy: T9ksy:I do not know why Nigerians call IBB master schemer. The title should perfectly fit your persona. Nobody insinuates Ademoyega was the leader of the January 15, 1966 coup. However, it is an apparent act of intellectual dishonesty to arrogate latecomer tag on Ademoyaga. By the way, when did Ademoyega join the January 15, 1966 coup plotters? |
Pal, I heard you on the “take it easy” part. The team designated to arrest or possible shoot Premier of Northern region of Nigeria in my book killed Bello. |
Katsumoto:Katsumoto, for the sake of argument, did you believe this conjectural crap? Reading this junk, I came across that Maj Nzeogwu went into the gated compound alone without his boys. And when Nzeogwu shot Bello, he walked back to the gate of the compound where Waribor asked his superior “Did you get the man”. Why was Waribor designated to lead the team of soldiers to arrest or shot the Premier of Northern region of Nigeria if his duty was to stand behind a gated compound? Sometimes you disappoint me big time!!!!!!!!!!!! |
@POST Whosoever wrote this article is indelible idio.t This is one of the reasons Nigeria will never progress. A journalist should not go public until all relevant facts to a story are gathered. What has Kaduna State coordinator of the IBB Campaign Organization and former Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Honorable Bashir Zubairu informing the newsmen about IBB visit to Kaduna got to do with 48 hour notice required by Police? This nonsensical article should have included the detail request or notice from IBB Campaign Organization to Police so the discerning onlookers could either fault IBB Campaign Organization or the Police. What we seemed to have in Nigeria is a system of government called democracy and it is proper the fundamental principles of system are uphold regardless of whose ox is gored. |
Remii:The grandiose denial of the fact that January 15, 1966 cut across the ethnic divide within Nigeria has degenerated to sorry state of who killed who. A person does not need to kill or own the responsibility of killing a targeted interest to become a leader or coordinator of a coup. Whether Ademoyega killed a target or not, the fact remains Ademoyega was one of the architects of January 15, 1966 coup. Yet people forgot it was Captain Waribor who shot Ahmadu Bello. |
EzeUche0:For the southwest of Nigeria to abandon a regional and tribal political party such as AD, OBJ gave more than a house full of carrots and Kolanuts if I may add. |
koruji:If Nigeria will ever grow, Nigerians must shy away from sentiment and embrace the rule of law. IBB reason not to attend the Nigeria’s independent celebration is acceptable to me. To attend or not to attend the silly fanfare such as Nigeria's independent celebration has insignificant bearing on the stature of IBB. |
EzeUche0:I am perplexed to read that OBJ did not care about someone’s tribe. Did you ask why AD suddenly disappeared from the surface of the earth? |
EzeUche0:I would take a tribal political icon that obeys statutory codes and is guided by laid down policies and procedures over a detribalized GEJ who flagrantly flouts any code in paper on his way to grab power. Be mindful that a person with such political mindset would run over human beings to achieve his political ends. |
koruji:Is there any constitutional provision that mandated every former Heads of State or Presidents of Nigeria, death or alive, must attend the yearly celebration of Nigeria’s independence? Does the constitution of Nigeria not grant IBB inalienable right to do as he wishes under the law including shunning the invitation to attend extravagant 50th anniversary of Nigeria’s independence? |
Anybody who cites the political maturation in USA with the political insanity found in Nigeria could face culpable criminal indictment punishable by death. So contributors you are thereby warned. |
jason12345:GEJ stands for no apparent political philosophy. He is a desperate opportunist who does not understand policy and procedure. Southern Nigeria does not worth more than a piece of paper it is written. Southern Nigeria does not exist socially, politically, economically or culturally. It is very laughable for anyone to yarn about honesty in Nigeria. And the absurdity of such request goes melancholic with sentence in bold. May I ask what happened to honesty in yesteryears Nigeria? |
Nigerian leadership is a bunch of fools desperate enough to do anything to stay in power. Anybody who believes these set of morons led by GEJ would successfully investigate high school pranks with intellectual dexterity is a drooling fool. |
jason12345:It is unfortunate you have a post bereaved of any deductive reasons to your handle’s name. Even a drunken camel driver from Northern region of Nigeria could not have insinuated the civil war was between northern and eastern regions. As for your goofy scenario of 1 defeating 2 in your previous post, I would love for you to cite an example. |
ayinba1:I perceived your previous posts were mockery of Chief Mbu’s lack of the facts. I must say you were not one of “the Elementary pupils with a Social studies class knows the story about the first Coup”. |
Ndigbo should forget about the inutile presidency of the cesspit called Nigeria and concentrate on the means to disintegrate the colonial contraption as well strategize on measures to defend Alaigbo and neighboring Ibibio, Annang and Ogoni in case peace gives way to chaos. |
@jason12345 and T9ksy I thought Biafra fought Nigeria not Yoruba land. Well if few folks on the nairaland are tempting Biafrans with silly talks such as “arse kicking” and “try to invade Yoruba land again”, I say it still will not amount to a contest if the conflict was exclusively between Western region and Eastern region or even between Northern region and Eastern region for that matter. Biafra was capable of defeating Western region as well Northern region all of Nigeria on one-on-one combat. These statements are not spurred by the unfounded sentiments or silly aggrandizement but experience. |
T9ksy:Were you drunk when you wrote the post? I do not think it could have been a contest if the civil war was between regions instead of three and half regions against half a region. ![]() |
