when i argued on this forum sometime in august that Fashola is being overhyped, some people called for my head. Now, its interesting to see that the likes of Aloy EmeKa have suddenly woken up to that fact. lagos state's internally generated revenue stood at 156 billion as at the last count but the pictures emanating from Lagos are not encouraging. i visited Lagos from Abuja in june and couldn't wait to finish my mission before heading back to Abuja. I saw potholes in ojota,Awolowo road was like a lake, oregun road was still filthy and sandwiched by shanties and illegal structures. the traffic snarl was horrific. I tuned on to Ltv and became more worried. A government that controls revenue equivalent to that of 4 states combined, was busy brandishing the sanitization of oshodi as a miracle. this is ordinarily what is considered a daily routine by El rufai. I Salute Fashola for the eko atlantic project but he's not the only governor with a similar project. in rivers, there's the new Port harcourt city project. in Akwa ibom, AKPABIO is on fire with his renewal project and has even completed an Airport with the biggest Runway in Nigeria. Enugu is wearing a very good look with new roads and walkways.

the report is petty. that a lawmaker gave schorlarship to 50 students in NIGERIA IS NOT NEWS. The member representing my constituency, in december, gave schorlarship to 100 students in university, paid 20,000naira bursary to 200 students and paid law school fees for 10 students. we hear such gist every day on NTA news. last week, olusola oke PDP rep from osun even rehabilitated schools in addition to schorlarship Awards. it is not something any serious minded NAIRALANDER should send as a post. the sum total of schorlarships given by that Abia law maker is less than 5% of the bribe money he collected inorder to sign the controversial 50 BILLION NAIRA BOND for the Abia governor.

Aloy Emeka, you should find a better post. even you if you have been hired by PPA to deoderise the shit that their government has come to represent in Abia state, there are more intelligent ways to go about it.

lets not confuse issues. the show has been censored in accordance with the senate's directive. there is nothing wrong with a reality show which brings different people from Africa under one roof. the poster merely calls on all Nigerians who watch the show to rise in defence of our homeboy Kelvin. its just a game.but the way some people are going about spreading hate messages against Nigeria shows how we are percieved by other africans. my take is that we should vote to keep kelvin in the house while we look inwards and seek to correct those things that make fellow Africans to hate us

once again, we are compelled by the need to defend a homeboy from the xenophobia instincts of southern African countries to write and solicit for your support . yes i agree with you that fashola cannot clean the pervasive rot in lagos within 2 years. its also too early in the day to start cothing him in the garb of a messiah. The truth is that there is still much work to be done in lagos. too much praises has the tendency to deceive him that he has attained uhuru. Lagos has enough money more than three states combined. its difficult for one not to perform as a governor of lagos. this explains why every administration is always praised to high heavens. Marwa was hailed, Tinubu was adored and now fashola is being worshiped. every sincere person will advice Fashola to romance less with tinubu. the latter accounts for the bad sides of his govt. every objective mind would reiterate the fact that the presence of street hawkers, motor park touts, Tinubu's agberos, illegal structures, slums and broken pieces of iron mongery called MOLUE still gives lagos the toga of an urban jungle.

fashola is good relative to his predecessors. But i will not be dragged into the bandwagon of praisesinging him. Given the huge resources at his disposal, more is expected of him. lagos state is still far from civility. More buildings need to give way for good roads and pedestrian walkways. all shanties and makeshift lock up shops should be demolished.  drainages ought to be evacuated. molues and okadas should leave the roads.more bridges and ringroads to aid traffic decongestion. slums should be evacuated and in its stead gardens and parks. if he lacks the will, let him consult El Rufai. finally, let him strip himself of Tinubu and his coterie of Agberos.

completion of the NIPP projects instituted by obj inoder to achieve the targeted 10,000 megawatts.
i will unbundle NEPA and encourage the construction of independent power plants by the private sector.
i will scrap all interventionist agencies in the Niger Delta and inrease the derivation allocation to 25%.
i will reintroduce the public private partnership initiative spearheaded by oby ezekwesili in the education sector. every company will be mandated to adopt a public school within its locality. Govt will undertake the responsibilty of paying the teachers while the company updates the infrastructure. NUC will be empowered to run federal universities. lecturers will be restricted to academic duties while the NUC appoints retired proffessors as vice chancellors subject to ratification of the National Assembly.budgetary  allocations to education will be pegged at 15%.
i will engage the chinese to rebuild our railway system under a build operate and transfer agreement. such will guarantee efficiency and take away pressure from our highways.
my govt will embark on the aggressive construction of the BENIN -ORE, ENUGU -PH, EAST WEST, ABUJA -LOKOJA, LAGOS- IBADAN, roads.  i will concession  them after ccmpletion to the private sector and reintroduce the collection of tolls to enable maintenance by the companies.
i will merge icpc and efcc and reappoint ribadu. INEC will be chaired by a retired justice of supreme court and composed of representatives of various political parties.  donald duke will be fct minister  .
