Where is kobojunkie and his band of court jesters who want GEJ to fail? I know they will see this topic and carefully avoid it because it's counterproductive to their interest. I said it earlier and Gej also said it on Sunday that the upward review of Tariffs was intended to encourage the oil companies to invest in our gas so that there will be adequacy of gas for supply to the power stations that have been completed by govt under NIPP.Now it's happening.

I want to state it categorically without any fear of contradiction that GEJ WILL DELIVER and so the issue of vacancy in Aso rock will not even arise in the first instance. Even in the North, in less than one year, Gej has constructed the Kano-Maidugri roads, Kano Byepass, Kaduna eastern bye pass, Zaria-Funtua-Gusau, Keffi-Akwanga-Lafia, Lafia-obi-Awe, resurfacing of Jebba bridge, construction of Loko-Eweta-Karishi etc.

The rail lines are under obstruction linking up Kaduna to Abuja etc. He has launched the Almajiri school project to cater for the itinerant Almajiri children who their leaders including IBB and BUHARI have abandoned overtime. A campus of Nigerian law school has been set up in Yola. The Kano airport is to undergo massive rehabilitation. MAMBILLA AND ZUNGERU POWER PLANTS hve been completed and shud be due for commissioning soon with all the attendant employment opportunities it holds for youths in the North.

This much and many more have been done for the North in less than one year. By 2015, When GEJ would hve finished on his transformation agenda, THESE SO CALLED SPENT FORCES like BUHARI will be dumb

This is a disaster long foretold. There's an adage in Igbo that says " the sheep is busy destroying it's anus with feasces while thinking that it is punishing the shepherd" Those who think Boko Haram activities offer them the opportunity to castigate GEJ should continue . The president had long directed the then Minister of Finance to conduct a probe into the sector and KPMG was drafted to do this. The report has been submitted and Govt acted on it by sacking the PPRA boss and replacing him with Stanley Reginald. They also decided to withdraw subsidy as a result of the recommendations by KPMG.

Whether the president appointed the Ribadu committee in January or in february or in March, the fact remains that a committe has been appointed to oversee accountability in a sector riddled with age long corruption. Once Again, the opposition has gone full circle in a failed bid to doctor the interesting media chat the President had with Nigeians. I have much respect for Yinka Odumakin as an activit. No. What the president clearly said is that while he was an acting president, he had already directed Aganga to invite any globally reputable audit firm to investigate NNPC. The president said this in a bid to clear the air on his alleged plans to kill Lawns' report. He said that even far before the House Probe, he had already taken his own independent step to investigate the oil sector.

Logically too, one of the major reasons for the removal of subsidy was to eliminate the cabal from feeding fat from oil subsidy. So does it make sense when people now reprobate to accuse the president from shielding the same cabal from Farouk.'s hammer? Somehow both the President and the masses have a common enemy in the cabal. The president sought to punish the cabal thru subsidy removal while the masses sought to punish the cabal thru the probes but unfortunately both efforts turned awry.

Secondly, it is not also true that the president could not face live questions. He did face all the questions thrown at him confidently. He responded to the Brasil trip perfectly. He told about ongoing power reforms in summary. He talked about YOUWIN in response to a question by the caller. He explained the reason behind the sack of Azazi. Please let's try to be objective. Stop all these falsehood. President Gej duly declared his assets according to the law. The issue here is open declaration. If you take a look at the wordings of his conversation with Yaradua.it says "that we should not play into the hands of some people by (OPENLY declaring assets). what the journalist asked Gej was this, " sir, Why don't you want to openly declare your assets" The president responded by saying that he doesn't need to declare his assets openly.

That he has issues with such declaration and even expressed this reservation to Late President Yaradua. Assets declaration is a precondition for swearing in. Every public official fills the prescribed oath form and deposits such with the Code of Conduct Beareau. Without the oath form, A judge will not swear you in. Gej surely did. The grouse with some people here is that he didn't go ahead to make it public like his predecessor. But that in itself is extra constitutional and given the state of insecurity, it may be risky to place such information of the presidents assets in the public domain.

Lets us even assume without conceading, that the president did not declare but the one he did as VP under Yaradua still subsists as he has not left office since then. So he will be held accountable for whatever ill wealth he acquired after his presidency. We should face issues and stop chasing shadows

The president defended his trip to Brasil seriously and I agree with him. You can't cancel your International engagements because of a terrorist group .it sends the wrong signals and has a way of discouraging prospective investors. He also gave a summary of ongoing power sector reforms. He hinted of the planned investment of Brasilan Electric company in the power sector. He spoke of the YOUWIN programme and assured of his govts readiness to ensure that youths benefit on merit. he made a passive reference to the reforms in the Agric sector without mentioning the cassava bread revolution. On Assets declaration, the question was clear. Mr, President, why didnt you declare your assets publicly? He responded by saying that he does not like public declaration of assets and that he expressed this reservation as much to the late YarAdua. Even with FOI, no one is able to verify that the information even really exists. And it has nothing to do with the LAW but everything to do with the presidency refusing to make this record available as the law stipulates it should be.

How can you come here to say he did something that by law you should be able to see, but you can't and so cannot verify if it even exists? How? Jonathan himself said (remember he was on tape and there is a video of this chat)he did not declare his assets. He said it was against his principle. If he has declared his asset, we would not be discussing whether it can be public or not since the Constitution stipulates that all that information be made available to every Niegrian.

Why do you think the opposition in the House has kept quiet over it? Ordinarily, failure to declare assets is an impeachable offence because it violates the constitution so the ACN or CPC in the National Assembly would hve headed for Gej's neck if he had breached it. But that's not the case. GEJ declared his assets in the frm but it is his principle not to make it public and it's extra constitutional to do so

The mere pronouncement of renaming doesn't in any way translate to actual renaming of the institution. It's a mere pronouncement similar to the way we hve been talking about FOI since 2003 till President Gej signed it into law last year. I don't know why we are overfogging this issue even after the President had forwarded an amendment bill to the senate to that effect. It would also interest you to know that Unilag is not the only institution involved, the amendment bill includes that of University of Agriculture Umudike to Micheal Okpara University after almost 12 years that President Obasanjo renamed the institution. Even President Gej revealed today that he just recently signed the Act establishing UNIUYO to law.

why are you always making a public show of your naivety? That the constitution provides that such information should be available for public access does not translate to publi declaration of assets. The law is explicit on the fact that such declaration should be made before swearing in an oath form prescribed by the CCB, it didn't say go to channels or AIT or NTA to make a public declaration of such assets.

I saw when somebody challenged you to furnish evidence of when Fashola or any of your ACN principals declared his assets. You tactically dodged the answer and rather dwelt more on his reference to you as "ACN..HEN". The truth is that you don't know any better. If you were knowledgeable enough on this issue, you would hve told him that Fashola and others including President GEJ and his vice indeed declared their assets in the oath form prescribed and it's deposited with the CCB. It behaves on any Nigerian who desires to see the content to take diligent steps to approach CCB for access to information contained in such form.

Thankfully, GEJ has signed the long awaited FOI act which guarantees you access to such information. Make use of it and stop blabbing

Now, when you talk of Government grinding to a halt, I wonder if you know the reason why we have a vice president at all. Nothing stopped or diminishes Government if the President sent the VP in his stead. I mean even Yar adua, who did not somehow trust Jonathan, at least knew to send someone else in his stead (his wife on occassion) so he could stay back in Nigeria and pretend he cared for the people. Which Boko Haram leader? The ones the US only this week put on terrorist list abi which one again? No prominent Boko Haram leader was killed. . The man that was killed was ALLEGEDLY linked but no information provided past that that definitively ties him to the leadership of Boko Haram.
I remember back in 2009, we were told the leader of Boko Haram had been killed. To this day, no one knows what the truth really was. We know a man was killed, and his family later won a case for over 100 million for his brutal killing, and that is that. Who is to say this killing will not end the same way? Will we ever know the truth of what really happened?
