Most Nigerian women do this, they only marry cos they feel they need you to support them, once the table turns, you see the Jezebel in them...that is why men chase money nowadays, and only marry when established. Easing the economy is good for us but how do our own people respond to the self safety guidelines?

Less than 300k worldwide since december 2019 is still a small number, most of the cases are in Europe and America, Africa has less than 20% off the worldwide death rate, let us look at things in perspective...300k dead in 6 month, means at most 600k in a year, still a far cry from 55million that meet their demise each year normally, people are always exiting and entering the world, this Corona is a big media hysteria, bad news is big business, it is not as sordid as we make it seem, soon our immune systems will adapt, vaccines and medicines will be developed to deal with it. please lets focus on solutions and stop spreading fear senselessly. Lagosians are smart people, not goats, government only need to apply more enforcements.

The numbers you quote are dumb, only less than 10% of infected people die, and your assumption of 5billion being infected is far fetched, and illogical talk, let us talk like sensible people, not market women, you said a lot of nonsense without proffering a reasonable way forward, thank God Nigeria is not filled with prophet of doom and myopic people like you...noone said people should be careless, of course everyone should wear face masks, adhere to social distancing and stay home if you don't need or have to go out, if you or some are goats and cant comprehend these safety measures, then stay home, or die well.

Lock down helps in controlling the spread....
if lock down weren't imposed on Italy,France or Spain, their death toll would have been 4x.....Lock down helps flatten the curve after peaking.... They did massive testing during the lock down,it enabled contact tracing nd fishing out infected persons, since if u don't move, the virus doesn't move..... now they are easing lock down after months of sacrifice.

Germany got it under control, they eased lock down, new infections rose again.... Same with Ghana.

without lock down, the numbers u are seeing in naija now will be 3x this.

How rapid the virus spreads means a lot of people can contract it within a short period...without lock down to calm the speed of the spread, the whole country can get infected over a short period of time.

I followed America from the onset... if early lock down measures were taken, the fatalities wouldn't have been this much.....

even during the 1918 Spanish flu virus pandemic...
lock down slowed its effects.... but the biggest fatalities nd infections occurred when governments eased lock down.

Coro kills less than 10% of those infected, some people immune can resist it, just like we are living with HIV anc co, soon Coro will be like that, our lives can not stop because of one virus. Lockdown does more harm than good in Lagos., time for lockdown has passed, the world is moving on with research, and management of the virus and the patients, lockdown is not sustainable, hence its good we learn to live with Coro now, while we look for ways to beat it.

You would be surprised that my work is to deal with malnourished children, but we have to put things into perspective here. If someone has diabetes it can be managed, they can't spread it to others and it takes a long time to die from it without management.

With Covid-19 you have about a month or so to live or die if it gets bad, even with the best hospitals the chances of survival after requiring ventilation is 50/50.

If it was Boko Haram killing people on the streets no one would dare to step outside, yet because the killer can't be seen it is not given the appropriate respect.

I just hope the cure/vaccine comes out soon because I never trust people to listen to directives.

Get your facts right, stop lying here, about 90% of infected Covid patients survive, you people should stop using false information as basis of your conclusions on here...do you know that depression, anxiety, hunger kills more...talk with sense, many things kill a man and most arise from hunger and malnutrition, boost your immune system, or stay indoors if you cant wear mask.

Rent will pass, coffins are permanent. Since Nigerians have refused to obey the conditions for easing the lockdown we have 2 options;

- open the state completely and accept that many people are going to die.

- lockdown until a vaccine or cure is found or the disease stops spreading.

Just last week I went out for only 3 hours and I saw.

- People crowding a car boot to receive whatever was inside
- people pulling down facemasks and fighting
- crowded streets and markets.
-some were not even wearing any face mask.
- people continuing to touch their faces

Anyone who says that we will follow any science based rules is deceiving themselves. Some don't even think this is real and see no need to protect themselves. In the rush to save the economy we might end up making it worse by killing a lot of people and keeping Nigeria locked down while other countries open up.

Coro will be with us for a long time, is this how we will continue the lockdown, even for a year...you people should think...who will pay your rent?
