I find myself in a funny situation.
I got an IT-related offer in which the employer(NHS) insist on getting a Naric Evaluation to prove my Bsc is the same as that of the Uk. The HR explains that they need this to be done before they can issue a COS. Where I have a challenge is that there is industrial action at naija my uni and it would take a long time to get proficiency in English letter through the back door. As an alternative, I have PTE Academics UKVI, so all I require is the evaluation of my BSC alone. I tried initiating a Visas and Nationality (English proficiency) on Naric, with the mindset that the Bsc would be evaluated alone, but they keep asking for the proficiency in English letter.

Please, do anyone have experience evaluating education(B.Sc) alone while using IELTS or PTE UKVI for English proficiency, I really can't afford to b waiting for proficiency in English letter from uni as I cant attach a timeline to this process.

Please do whatever you can to collect that letter. Beg whoever you need to beg and bribe whoever you need to bribe, even if na VC. Don't let them use their problem to spoil yours. If hope it is resolve as soon as possible.

Ok guys... here is my progress since my last post.
Here is my IELTS result (It was easier than I thought, given I did not even practice at all. Just focus on the requirement of each module and be familiar with them - so that you know what you are doing at every point in the exams - you should be fine.), just waiting for police cc, picking it up on Wednesday. Unlike Alagbon, Abuja takes 3 to 5 working days get it.
Pls who has info on MFB that do proof of fund for a fee? I need to get the 28days running before getting COS so that I wont have to wait out the period before staring my visa application process.

I would advise that you wait until your CoS is available before running your PoF. Your employer may tick that they will provide maintenance, which renders your PoF useless.

On the other hand, if you start counting your PoF now and CoS is yet to drop, you will have only 31 days after the completion of the 28 days to use the Statement of Account.

My advise: Be patient!

I just observed the Elizabeth is from Barts Health NHS Trust. Who knows about recruitment in this area?

If the email address ends with @nhs.net, then it is most likely legit. If not, you're on your own.

Besides, unless you have something to lose or you have been asked to pay some money, I see no reason why you shouldn't respond to the email. So, give it a shot.

I have gone through the thread on page one, i have a quick question.
Must my job be on the shortage list to be able to apply for the health visa. my profession (dentist) is not on the shortage list but its on the skilled worker list eligible for the visa.
kindly advise.

As a Dentist, you're also a Doctor too. Ensure you apply to be on the appropriate register in the UK, then start applying for jobs. Once you get a job, apply for your visa and Move.

Please help me, I fill the skilled worker visa, I didn't see where to fill how many dependants, is that the right form? Or I fill about them separately... Help it's urgent

Each dependant will have a separate visa application. You will have to go through the same process of applying for visa for EACH of your depandants as you did for yourself. The only thing is that you will use the same CoS that you used for each of them. Check this link for more information:

Good evening,
Please why does the visa application page requesting for sponsor's licence number keep saying "Licence number not found" after inputting the correct number despite the company being listed as an accredited company for sponsorship?
Thank you.

Check that you have entered the license number correctly and ensure that there is no mix up in the details you're entering. If all fails, contact your employer

Hello,
Great Ormond street hospital asked for my UK insurance number after I have filled all section in the application columns knowing fully well dt I am from NIG on the application. I have mailed the HR but is it possible to get the temporary insurance number as they claimed?

They won't be asking you for National Insurance Number if they know that you're in Nigeria and need visa Sponsorship. However, remind them that you're applying from Nigeria and do not have a National Insurance Number.

I have never heard of such a thing as temporary insurance number and I do not think it exists. However, if they suggested it, ask them to guide you on how to obtain it.

If you're planning to use your IELTS for any professional registration, please ALWAYS use IELTS for UKVI Academic. IELTS for UKVI General is for those who do not intend to use it for anything academic or professional other than VISA application.

Please how do I tell an employer that I can't (don't want to) resume sooner than August? I eventually got the offer letter but it says to pick an induction date from the ones that have been lined up from may to June 24th. That's the earliest date is two weeks from now and the farthest is two months. I've not done naric, I've not built my account...I never prep other necessities...house rent, flight ticket...
Which kain wahala be this for oyinbo people? I imagined say na after CoS we go De speak all this English. Should I tell them that I want to wait for their CoS first? What if they give me the CoS tomorrow tomorrow?
Cc; jiigga

Speak to the contact person that you cannot resume before August due to financial constraint. Ask if they can provide financial assistance to you and have it deducted from your salary over time. If they cannot, ask if the resumption date can be extended (give a fixed date). If this is also refused, then you have to choose between sourcing for funds and forfeiting the offer.

Ask regards building up of account, you can ask if it will be stated that they will provide maintenance for the first month on your CoS. If yes, then you do not need to build account. Most organisations do so anyway, so that should not be a problem.

Hi guys, I have been assigned a 3 year CoS and my employer agreed to certify my maintenance so i don’t have to use my bank statement when applying for visa.

My annual salary (gross) as stated in my CoS is just a little above £28,000 per annum but they have stated that the immigration surcharge for the three years (£1092) will be deducted from my salary with an agreement.

I am not sounding greedy but is it right as there were no prior discussion regarding this, I was only told after my CoS was assigned.

Check by yourself if the surcharge you are supposed to pay is £1092. If it is, then I think they are doing you a favour. If its less than that, you can humbly request that you will source for the surcharge by yourself.

They envisaged that you may not be able to afford the surcharge, that is why they want to pay on your behalf and then deduct from your salary over time. I experienced the same with regards to accommodation fee for the first month and it was deducted from my salary over 3 months.

In my opinion, I will advise you to agree with them so that you will have less financial burden because you still have to pay Visa fee, Air ticket, house rent, and other miscellaneous things.

Thanks for your response. To be clear, I’m asking specifically for links to jobs I can apply for. Never will I ask for the entire information on the process because I’m caught up on that. I only need to know which organizations or agencies that provide these visa sponsorship.

The answers you are seeking has been shared numerous times on this thread. All you need to do is read previous pages, starting from the ones she highlighted.

When I didn't receive confirmation of payment, I called them, and was told that they didn't receive my payment and any payment done now can't be confirmed for me to write on Thursday.

Please what do I do?? There's no available date any time soon and my money has gone through according to my bank

Contact the payment gateway providers. They are in the best position to know where your money is. As for the exam dates, just prepare your mind that you cannot take the exam on Thursday.

Hello everyone.

I have seen some responses to my question below in the thread, however I haven't seen any response that goes into details.

My question is:
For someone with a UK MSc from years back, returned to Nigeria after studies and currently applying on the Health Care Worker Visa route as a Care Assistant, is the UK MSc Certificate sufficient to prove English competence?

I have seen a lot of "yes" responses to the question on the thread, however, please does anyone know anyone who has successfully applied from Nigeria for the Health Care Worker visa using just their UK MSc certificate, without needing NARIC/ECCTIS or IELTS?

I will appreciate a detailed response to this please.
Wouldn't want to spend all that money getting NARIC/ECCTIS evaluation, only to find out I could have done without it.

Thank you.

Thank you. Majority of the information I got concerning HCA was from this platform. It's only proper I give back.

Someone from this thread, we have the same offer letter from the same care home. But little information I'll ask him or mail him for, you'll never get a response. I no Sabi wetyn him dey feel like sha, but we go still jam for the same UK.

Selfishness and greed is human nature, so I'm not surprised when people behave that way. However, since you will be working together with the person, now you already know the kind of person they are, moving forward.

Exactly tell us the care homes you got the offer, questions they asked you, this platform helped you,you should also give back.

I agree with you except for the sharing of employer details. This is a public platform where anyone has access to all information here. Dropping sensitive information like the care home that is employing you should be a capital NO, in my opinion. The fact that they employed one person doesn't mean they will employ everyone, unless they are in dire need of more applicants.

Rather, you can ask for tips used in searching for a responsive Care home, I think that would the most preferable.

It is evident that some of us are already getting job offers and CoS. Congratulations to you all. However, it is only right that you give back to this thread by sharing tips on how you structured your application, relevant qualifications/courses taken and other things you did that gave you an edge during your application. Some of us have been doing this since Uzland started this thread last year and you were able to get the necessary information you need from here. It won't be fair to withhold and relevant tips that can help someone else. And you don't need to wait to be asked before you drop it. You can share your experience like some have done/have been doing.

Thank you for this clarification. I still want to ask a question relating to this.

Can one apply for admission in UK with the IELTS UKVI general test that we are required to present the result now?

Will one be required to write another IELTS test again?

quote author=LagosismyHome post=111590756]

You can study part time and see how it goes . .... especially if you intend to spread it out for those 5 years . If you work with maybe taking weekend or evening shifts then perhaps they will be time for studying.

A lot of these indians who are using it to relocate , I am very sure have no plans to stay in care after ilr so will be doing somethings on the side to prepare for transition. Either it been formal education be it part time or full time or some form of training . Care still pay minimum wage so it should not be a long term goal at all but for now its a good stepping stone to japa

IELTS for UKVI Academic only or you use your WAEC result with minimum of C6 in English (It depends on what the university requires) but not General.

Hey guys. I want to drop a few interview tips. This is just based on what I have done with good result. Might not always work.

I've had 3 interviews. I have been successful at 2, awaiting response for the 3rd one. The 3 interviews were less than 15 minutes. One of them was 6 minutes 37 seconds. I was told that I'd be employed before the interview ended.

Firstly, You need to involve God. Very important.

During the interview, it is important that you speak as much as you can. If you are asked a question, don't just give a short response. I was scheduled for an interview of 30 minutes, at the 12th minute, the manager told me that she does not have any more question to ask me, she said I had already talked about everything she needed to ask.

Secondly, don't keep a serious face, smile. Answer your questions with a smile. You could chip in a soft laughter at the right time. My 3 interviews, we have always had that laughter. You can not be taking care of patients and be frowning. Show them how good you are at it.
It got the extent that, when the manager is asking me a question, she's smiling already, if I am quiet thinking about an answer to a question, she's giving me that big smile. I am also returning the smile, then answering the question in a not so serious way. PLEASE AND PLEASE, NO GO DEY SMILE DEY TALK RUBBISH.

Thirdly, Please Google about the care home. Even if you are not asked anything about the care home, you have several opportunity to chip it in when answering some of the questions. You could chip in when the care home was found, how many rooms, their ratings, values etc. It will always give you an edge.

Fourthly, Don't join the interview late. I was scheduled for an interview 12:30. I was online with Microsoft teams as early as 12:20. We started the interview before 12:30. Put on a shirt. Look neat. Let it be a quiet and professional background. Use good network. Dial *21*17010# to block incoming calls. Dial #21# to cancel.

Lastly, Pray to God. You can never go wrong with that

Thank you for this information man. So many things to learn from it. Congratulations on the success recorded in your interviews.
