Good day good people
I'm new on nairaland. Just registered but ve been following this page for some time now.

Please I ve questions🙏🏽
1. can a dependant visa applicant give different UK address to the one given by MA during his own application? As per TB test.

2. Please guys help with this scenerio.

Female name appear as (example)
Uche Michelle Adeyemo in marriage certificate and did newspaper publication change of surname ONLY without saying she wants to change her middle name also. And just put another middle name : Mary in the newspaper and affidavit , not Mitchelle.

Ie Uche Mary Adeyemo wants to change to Uche Mary Guma

Now passport bears Uche Mary Guma. No change of name affidavit was done to notify about the middle name change.

Summary.
Middle name on passport is different from middlename used during marriage certificate

Please will this pose a problem?

1. YES. You can give a different address as to what MA since anyone can change their accommodation at anytime.

2. Since you are married, i believe you are an adult. So I see no reason why the usage of multiple middle names. That could reduce the credibility of your application as the 2 middle names could mean different people and also mean you are trying to impersonate someone else.

What you can do:

1. Apply for a change of name either on your passport or on the marriage certificate.

2. If the above is impossible, get a sworn affidavit stating that the bearer of both names is the same person.

3. Go into fasting and prayer that UKVI should not reason your matter.

I hope this helps.

Greetings house, must one come back to Nigeria to do wedding or court wedding before applying for a dependant visa?

If your partner is in Nigeria, its best to come back for the wedding so you can have pictures together as proof it was not an arranged marriage

Greetings My Good People of Nairaland.

Please I need suggestions on an offer I have.

I am a Registered Nurse, hoping to relocate to UK. I have passed through all the steps and currently preparing to write my OSCE in the UK. I had to sponsor myself to UK for my OSCE exams.

So recently I got job offers from 2 NHS Trusts in UK after passing their job interviews. They are willing to give me COS for my Skilled Worker Visa Processing, but none is willing to make any financial commitment for my relocation.

THEY MADE IT CLEAR THEY DO NOT OFFER ANY RELOCATION PACKAGE.

This means I have to;

Pay the Skilled Worker Visa Fees myself
Pay NHS Surcharge myself
Pay for flight
Pay for my TB tests myself
And even cater for my accomodation on arrival.

The cost runs into millions of naira, which I do not have.

My questions;

1. Does anyone thing the offer is worth it, and should I accept it considering how difficult it is getting NHS offers now?

2. If I decide to go through Health and Care Worker Visa Route, the visa processing fees will be cheaper than Skilled Worker, but is it advisable?

3. Is it advisable to take a loan and invest in the relocation plans, since I have an offer already?

Every suggested will be appreciated.

1. Unless you are confident that you can get a better offer, then you can continue with application. But since 2 NHS organisation have given you the same deal, what is the possibility of getting something different?

2. Your role as a Nurse qualifies you for Health and Care visa, for which the fee is half of Skilled Worker visa fee and you do not pay Immigration Health Surcharge.

3. With regards to accommodation, you can appeal to your line manager to assist you in paying your rent for the first month and deduct the cost from your salary over a period of time (say 3 months). With that out of the way, you are left with visa fee, flight ticket and TB test which should not cost more than 1.5m total if you can get a cheap flight ticket. If you can get a loan, you will definitely pay it back within the first 2 months

I hope this helps

Good day everyone. Please I would like to get clarification on this. I have been in the UK for 5months now as the main applicant on a healthcare visa. I want to apply for my husband and children to join me in the UK. My questions are as follows;
1. Do I need to show proof of fund if maintenance was ticked for me in my COS? Bear in mind that I didn't provide POF when I did my application and I have been in the UK for five months.
2. If they will need POF will it be appropriate to use my husband's bank statement?

Your input will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

1. No need for PoF since maintenance was provided for you (unless it was stated that maintenance covers ONLY the main applicant, then you will need PoF). However, you can have the PoF in your account as a backup in case UKVI wants to move mad.

https://www.gov.uk/health-care-worker-visa/your-partner-and-children

2. PoF can be in either your account or your husband's account. Whichever works for you.

Good day House, I have a Question and my story long

..In 2021 I was opportune to go to the UK for schooling MSC and I couldn't finish my schooling due to personal reasons, that put me into depression so I stopped school, and through that period, and my stay in the UK, I was working more than 20hrs per week in different carehomes.

...So before my visa was expiring, I left the UK to avoid bad travel history or overstay because I plan to come back through full time work.

So I reached out to several carehomes I worked for in the UK, which has cos and I asked for sponsorship and 2 agreed to sponsor since there know how good I was working for them without no issue.

So my Questions goes like this

1. Will my 20hours per week I worked when I was in the UK affect my decision making for a healthcare visa to the UK when I apply for it.

2. My inability to finish school affect my decision making.

This carehome know me right from when I was in the UK and have agreed to sponsor me, so am scared of my chances of getting a visa Approval.

Please this is my email 🙏 divinecrimp@gmail.com

To answer your question:

1. Working more than 20 hours per week on a student visa is a breach of your visa regulations which is valid ground for revoking your visa, just like working or overstaying on a Visitor's visa. So if I'm being honest with you, it CAN affect your visa decision.

2. Your inability to finish school does not affect your visa decision. Anyone is free to dropout at any time.

Conclusion: From what you have said, you have breached your visa regulations, however, you won't know if it WILL affect it or not if you do not make an application. I'll advise you to put in that application if you have the funds for it. The worst that can happen is that your application is denied. But you will never know this if you don't try.

I hope this helps

If you used Police Clearance while applying for the first visa, use the same police clearance for this, expired or not, it shouldn't be a problem. If they ask why, let them know that you are no longer in Nigeria so you cannot get a new one

Is there need for a transit visa?
If yes. Must it be Transit from only Netherlands embassy or he can use french consolate ( because France transit visa application and booking is straightforward. Unlike the Netherlands. I am yet to find a helpful guideline on how to book for appointment or apply )

The transit visa you get is a Schengen transit visa which is applicable in all Schengen countries. However, it cannot be used to enter the country you are transiting through.

Thank you for your response, I am asking this for a family friend. She said the WhatsApp group they (first Trust) created are full of complaints of people who have been waiting forever to get their COS and that became a concern for her.

Since she has done several interviews with some waiting to get back to her with outcome and feedbacks, she just accepted this new offer today and send the requested pre-employment checks completed forms back to them.

It depends on what they mean by "waiting forever". How long has it being? One year? I have seen people on here who did biometrics and start complaining that UKVI is taking "forever" after waiting for only 3 days...and dem no even do priority.

Trusts that are already short-staffed won't delay anyone unnecessarily. They would have to go through a thorough verification process before issuing any CoS because the hiring managers will have to make reports to higher authorities.

If your family friend is not feeling confident in the first Trust, they can always reject their offer at any time and go ahead with the second Trust. But let them bear in mind that "the greener pasture" they are looking for in the second Trust might just be a mirage

I hope this helps

Please what happens when one is expecting CoS from two different NHS Trust after accepting both offer?

The first NHS Trust has accepted my signed offer letter and did the pre-employment checks, reference and ID verification but CoS is taking time and from what I have learnt, people have been waiting for this particular NHS Trust for long without being issued COS.

Another NHS Trust where a successful interview was done just also sent a job offer today which has been accepted.

My question now is how do I manage this situation? Apparently anyone that issues COS first is what I will go for. will I be penalized by the first NHS Trust should this Second NHS Trust send me cos?

I was told one can be told to pay for the COS once it’s already issued in one’s name. We have contacted this first NHS Trust, but they are not ready to give us a specific timeline when the cos will be issued and ready to go for the second once the cos is ready.

Please guy how best can this situation be managed without ruing things up.

Thanks

1. No one will penalise you for accepting 2 offers but since you cannot work for both NHS Trusts, why accept both offers? Besides, you dey spoil road for those wey dey come for back with the Trust you will be rejecting.

2. You see that time that the first Trust is taking to give you CoS, the second Trust will take the same amount of time, if not more. So what is the point?

3. No NHS Trust will ever ask you to pay for CoS. The cost of CoS is chicken change to them.

4. How best to manage the situation: Pick one offer and reject the other one now by letting them know you have accepted another offer. Wait patiently while your CoS is being readied. Since you have gone far with the first Trust, stick with them cos the you don't want to start the process all over again with the second Trust.

My CoS took at least 5 months, likewise Tier4Dependant 's. Patience is a virtue

I hope this helps

I use my company letterhead as reference for uk student visa application. UKVI now send mail to them but they are refusing to reply the mail saying I didn't follow due process by informing the headquarter office before using the company letterhead for such things. Which I did not know because it was the branch office I use the letterhead from and I was thinking that they ukvi will contact the branch office bcoz the official email of the branch is on the letterhead. I have plead with the headquarter office but they are adamant that they will not reply the mail even to the extent that they want to sanction me. Please what can I do in this situation? I have spend a lot to get to this stage

Just like someone stated earlier, what you did by using the company's letterhead for personal use without authorization is FRAUD which is a crime. Which means, your company can decide to write to UKVI to let them know of what you did and/or report the case to the police, which in both situations, means kissing your visa application goodbye.

What you need to do now: Forget about your visa application for now and find ways to make amends with your company. If they decide to take the matter up with you, it will destroy any present and future plans of yours. Follow the steps as highlighted by ab1x and Mofolam.

Most importantly, Talk to a lawyer as soon as possible in order for this not to turn into a police/court case. Sometimes, admitting guilt without first speaking to a lawyer can be used as evidence against you in a court of law.

However, if the head of your branch office was duly informed before you used the letterhead, then that could make your case easier

I hope this helps

Thank you so much for the confidence boost.
It's actually because of impatience of getting to wait and all that. We really need to relocate cos things have not been good lately. Had a failed business because of the Nigerian factor, so my husband just decided that its time!!
Thats why we wanted to go through the carejob route. I'll go first and after several months, they'll join me. And I also thought that after some time working as a caregiver, I'll then start applying for NHS biomedical scientists jobs, then switch to my field proper and change sponsorship.

Please gurus in the house.

I am a graduate of Medical Biochemistry but only worked in the lab during IT about 8 years. I have been in the wellness industry after then.

I will be going for MSc Biotechnology in the UK.

1. How can I become registered with BMLS and HCPC - I desire to work on the NHS lab?

2. Would you suggest I pivot fully into Biotechnology? (I am skeptical as the job prospects seems limited at the moment)

3. In case this is beyond the scope of this thread, kindly advise on the thread where this question can be answered

A Masters in Biomedical Science would be your best shot. Upon graduation, you can register with HCPC. Don't worry about your qualifications, I know a Physiology graduate who did same, here in the UK.

In addition, you can follow NezzyMike's suggestion as well

They responded since last week, tomorrow will make it a week. I just want to know if it takes that long.

I think they are currently vetting all candidates, which includes references from your referees. All you need to do is to be patient as it's not a task that can be rushed through. Bear in mind that, they also have clinical duties to attend to, on a daily basis.

If you're so eager to know the outcome is, send a mail to them thanking them for interviewing you and let them know that you're eager to know what the next steps of the recruitment process is. Don't forget to add that you will be happy to provide additional information should they require it

The consent letter provided during application stated both parents are responsible for baby. But father is giving full permission for the baby to travel without him I’m guessing that particular word caused this wahala.

There's some clarity now. If you insist on travelling with your child, then, I guess you can either go with the advice that advanceDNA had given you earlier OR you make arrangement for the care of your child in the UK (hiring a nanny/carer to look after them or having a friend/family member in the UK to help you out with that) and write a letter to UKVI to that effect.

My candid advice: Your child has no business going with you alone to the UK. You do not know what conditions await you, now you want to bring a child into the mix? Double trouble. Do not forget that you will also be working while trying to find your feet. Do you really want to bring your child into that uncertainty? Go first, bring your child (and husband) in, a few weeks/months later when you're fully settled.

Husband is not going with them at all.........
Unfortunately...she has mentioned that both father and mother are responsible for care of the child....(nullifying her chance to claim full custody)

Problem (NSF email) : Ukvi is asking her to provide further proof that will let her fly with the kid without the father that has joint care and custody since he's not dead..

There is a reason/are reasons for the NSF mail which was cut out of the screenshot. What we only have is the options given to straighten the NSF mail. Even though you may be right, but it's still a guess. The best way to tackle a problem is to know what exactly is the problem and not from the solution options.
