Good day everyone
Can I be allowed by border control to carry prescription drugs into the uk

Yes you can. As long as it is not so much that it looks like you want to sell them here. Just take enough to last 2-3 months max and its better you have it in your cargo bags not hand luggage. You can always get a prescription from your GP when you get here.

PLS for those that have travelled with Their child or children to UK through skilled work VISA and the guru's in the House, this is my question,
Pls apart from the recommendation letter from a child's school,Does children need transcript's from their school as one of the requirements ?

Apart from The child's int'l passport, birth certificate, nin, and TB result,What are The other necessary requirements for children that is traveling with their parent's to be presented during biometric??

Hello bro/sis,

My candid advice for you is to leave your wife/husband and children at home for now while you come here first to settle accommodation and find a good school for them. Then you can ask for requirements needed by the school from the school directly. You cannot rely on what others speculate to base your decision on.

As for requirements for their visa application, the children will need a consent letter from both father and mother. Follow this link for more info:

I come in peace.

HELLO EVERYONE,
I AM ON A SKILLED WORKER VISA AND A FULL-TIME STUDENT AT THE SAME TIME. IT WAS STATED ON THE COS THAT I WILL BE WORKING 40 HOURS WEEKLY BUT MY EMPLOYER GAVE ME 20 HOURS ( I WAS TOLD I CAN DO MORE IF I WANT ) WHICH IS FINE WITH ME.
QUESTION IS THAT IS IT OKAY TO WORK AND GET PAID BELOW WHAT IS REQUIRED ON THE SKILLED WORKER VISA BY THE UKVI.

Hello,

One of the requirements of your Skilled Worker visa is that you have to be earning a minimum amount of money yearly (between £20,480 to £25,600 or 70-90% of these amounts if you meet the criteria). Not earning up to that amount of money is in breach of your visa conditions which COULD be a stumbling block when you're applying for ILR after 5 years.

I would advise that you work for the minimum number of hours that will enable you earn up to that amount.

@dee1504 Have you imagined a scenario where the sponsor's legal team is the one handling the applicant's visa application (i.e filling visa forms and uploading supporting documents on their behalf); that applicant has no choice but to to go with the flow (of having their care certificate uploaded on their behalf).

So long as the care certificates are gotten genuinely and can be verified by UKVI (either online, or directly with the third party where the course was taken) I don't think it should be a problem. Don't forget also that Allison Certificates has got barcodes on them that can be scanned and the name of the certificate holder, course details etc is displayed.

Most of this care courses on Allison, Florence etc are courses UK Care Homes encourage their staffs to take from time to time when they are employed. Most care homes in the UK even have accounts on Allison and make it mandatory for staffs to take some courses to keep their staffs updated from time to time...

First of all, why is the legal team of the organisation trying to fill in a visa application on an applicant's behalf? Did the applicant grant them the permission to do so? If not, then that is illegal.

Secondly, never have I said the certificates are illegal or substandard. So many people have gotten and are still getting jobs with those certificates so there is absolutely nothing wrong with the certificates.

My main reason for the post is that, why subject yourself to further scrutiny from the visa officers by submitting those care certificates? It gives a very good avenue for loopholes to be picked in the application which could possibly lead to a visa denial. Moreover, Care certificates/educational certificates are not even required for visa application. It is the job of the employer to verify those documents. ANY IMMIGRATION LAWYER that submits care certificates for visa application when it is not explicitly stated in the requirements, is probably unqualified or trying to sabotage the applicants chances.

MyOpinion

Goodmorning house please help!!someone who made this mistake by clicking YES on this instead of NO is it a problem one should be worried of?? Can this lead to refusal wat do you suggest the person should do please ?

It should not be a problem. However, if the person is still scared, tell them to cancel the application before biometrics and reapply.

The PLAB of a thing is what I don't even plan of opting for, I don't want to risk the huge money involved. Is there any options for doctors?

quote author=ori777 post=120010220]

Very possible after passing your PLAB. Many doctors used that route yo the UK

I have heard of a doctor who came in to the UK as a Health Care Assistant, then took their PLAB in the UK before converting to a Doctor. The same way Nurses come to the UK as Healthcare Assistants before taking their OSCE to become a UK Registered Nurse. You can do some research on that, you do not have to take my word for it. But I'm very sure I have seen a case like that

3rd party..Health care Assistant

Okay. You need to understand that as long as they have sponsored you into this country, they are 100% responsible for your well-being and it is a crime to put you in such precarious position.

What you needed to do now is to send a STRONGLY WORDED (DO NOT ABUSE OR INSULT) email to you manager/employer, stating how much you have been suffering for the past few weeks. That you have exhausted all your allowances and can hardly feed or pay your bills at the moment and you are only just managed to get by till this moment due to help from friends and well-meaning people around you and that you can no longer bear this any more. Let them know that you can barely survive another week if they do not provide you with employment and a means of sustenance. Also let them know that you have tried to secure other jobs but you have not been successful. If possible, state it in your mail that you are currently at the point of death and you need start working immediately.

If you do this and you do not get any favourable response from them, let them know that they leave you with no choice but to inform the HOME OFFICE about your current situation.

Do this and let's see how it goes from there

So you should apply your deep understanding or sit it out. She asked for help. But you accuse her further claiming there are skeletons in her cupboard. Meanwhile whatshe explained is clear, very clear. COS is not reference letter. She submitted COS. What UKVI tried to verify is reference letter from her school here in Nigeria. Those ones didn't answer properly.
Hence the issue. Stop kicking a person that's already down. Not everyone is a fraudster.

I am finding it difficult to understand the following from you wite up:

1. You applied for work visa in August 2022 and then applied for visa in October 2022 (which one?)
the cos came out in august and we went for biometrics in october

2. Who did you submit reference letter to, employer or UKVI? I cannot remember the "Reference letter" being among the documents to submit to UKVI for visa.
at first the reference letter was not among what they requested for..but i think let me say is of best known to them...they requested for additional document after waiting for like 3 weeks and we gave it to them..the letter and the certificate was sent to sheffield contact people who sent an email..

Kindly take your time to articulate your thoughts and compose your write up properly to avoid confusion. Thank you

1. Okay.

2. I am still finding it very difficult to understand your response. If you applied for visa with CoS, why are they asking for reference letter from a SCHOOL as additional document? If they requested for additional document, what was the reason for requesting additional document?

Too many questions, yet you're not providing enough details. I guess, I may have to sit this one out and allow others give their opinion. Or better still, you wait for their response with regards your administrative review.

And i was so sure we didn't give any bad document..so i contact the working place where we worked and got out reference letter from...they said they contacted them and they gave them the right response and then again to the school we went and the mix up was from the school where she did her 18month course...now we got the letter from the school and filled for administrative review.....its past 20days now that we have submitted the letter and write them about the whole issue we havent heard back from them and again i want to ask and know whats the assurance of getting the visa since we already knew where the issue came from and gotten a letter from them to back it up....
sorry for my write up if its not properly punctuated..lol first time using online blog...

It's more difficult to get that job as an overseas applicants than to get a care job. Those jobs are usually for their citizens and those already there with a right to work in the United Kingdom

Most I.T departments are filled with foreigners, especially Asians, not even British people. So if they can get the jobs, you can. Unless you think you're not qualified.
