First, a good number of people go into those places, CBN, FIRS etc do not do so because the salaries are big. Secondly, there were reports recently that top politicians, who are already very rich have smuggled their kids into CBN. Why do you think they do that? Unfortunately, some Nigerian rulers have enjoyed so much loot and have taught their children how to continue after them. This is why Nigerians must demand that employment into those places must be 100pct transparent and 100pct on merit. Why is there such a rush to go to CBN? By the way, the rush to Immigration Ministry, Police, places you claim have lower salaries, is far more than the rush to CBN and NNPC? Why is that? I thought that if the children of the rulers are really competenet (after all the millions spent to go abroad for education) they should be applying to GTB, First Bank, afterall these guys pay much more! Yes, civil servants should earn well. The issues are larger than that. It borders on the rulers and the rich wanting to hold Nigeria captive forever. |
Is he the one that called our amiable and hardworking VP a mere commissioner? Now he is the mere 'accused'! |
LionInZion:Thank you. A lot of people just talk without sense. Who cares about witch hunt? If Saraki has documents against Tinubu and PMB he should also throw them into the open! |
He spoke my mind and the mind of many Nigerians. People must realize that the enemies of Nigeria are Nigerians and they are your average politician and office holders with the exception of just a very few. We have civil lords and not civil servants. Security people are more interested in their usual narrative of 'your boys are under the sun' than anything else. Every where you turn it is like the government is warring against the people and the rich are warring against the poor. Yet, the por cannot discern and would spend all the venom to defend the politician from his village while commenting on NL. Our mindsets are something else. |
NEVER AGAIN. They plot to return Nigeria to LOOTOCRACY and Cluelessness. Their breed of politicians are all over the place but Nigerians are wiser. We must be wise to vote out those who share our commonwealth and leave peanuts in the treasury, the peanuts that have left our education, health, power and other sectors in coma. Nonsense. |
Why would anyone post this to the public? Has he been charged to court and convicted by a court? |
It was never going to be easy to clean up the mess of 6 years, or 16 years. Change is never easy. If the last tenure had continued Nigeria may have bled to death now! |
People are beginning to respect Nigeria again. |
Back to SCS, simple common sense! You dont scrap a good idea unless you have a better one. Lagosians would just have added another Saturday to the endless PARTY weekends! And again, someone just remembered you dont scrap a LAW with a statement. Big goof! Trainee leaders! |
So who is Dino? |
He must come up with an alternative idea to maintain that culture of 'lets keep our environment clean'. If there is no audacious plan then the governor has only succeeded in taking Lagos twenty five years backward! I recollect that the same attitude has resulted in Lagosians no longer reespecting traffic lights and Okadas no longer taking safety precautions. Before he was elected people dared the traffic light but not any longer. YOU DONT SCRAP A GOOD IDEA UNLESS YOU HAVE A BETTER ONE TO REPLACE IT! Simple Common Sense. SCS! |
slinkky:Thank you. The house is a major clog to our progress. The serve more as obstacles than anything. Nigeria should demand for their record sheet as much as they make demand to the executive. Wht did they pass? They should send a copy to the President. The budget is a law. How can you sign something into law when you have not seen the content? The house is the one delaying here not the President. If they mean well they should send the passed budget to the President today. |
No Comment! But why are Nigerians so terribly corrupt? 10,000 ghost workers? In a state as poor as bauchi? |
Spot on. Truly great men create solutions and not problems to society. |
Randyhot:You wonder why they want their kids to work in CBN!. They cant take their eyes off the money. The sad part is that some (I think not all) actually train their wives and children on the wicked ugly art of looting public funds. |
Semantic nonsensity! |
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH OKUPE ON THIS. STOP THE USE OF YOUTH CORPERS FOR ELECTIONS NOW. NOW,NOW! FG, ACT NOW. FOR WIKE AND AMAECHI, I SUSPECT THEY WILL BOTH HAVE A DATE AT THE HAGUE VERY SOON. HOW HAS POLITICAL RIVALRY GONE SO BAD? RIVERS IS A HORROR FILM RIGHT NOW. RIVERS IS A BAD DREAM. RIVERS OF BLOOD, WHEN WILL YOU TURN A NEW LEAF? |
RIVERS OF BLOOD. FG, WHY? WIKE, WHY? AMAECHI, WHY? RIVERS PEOPLE, WHY? |
enilowo:Go to Vining Street Lagos Police Hqrs Monday, Thursday and Friday. There is a long queue. |
Lucasbible:Its free. They are just using it to collect data on people with tints. If you dont have the permit they may easily label yu as a dodger. |
Real Horror. But trust his supporters they wont see anything wrong with it! Rivers has become the headquarters of violence. Their governors are the chief promoters of it! Terrible. |
I cannot judge another man. It is possible that he means well. BUT.... If he is well connected let him get you interviews and go for the interviews. If that means staying over with his daughter for 2 days, perhaps its fine. Be watchful, so you dont end up as a 'domestic' staff for the man! Have you been to the house before? Some houses are 'irresistible' for ladies. Better play safe than bring upon yourself consequences that will cage you for many years to come. Find a sister to stay with! |
Rule 1 Dont give a job to someone with an 'impressive record' whose office is his laptop and who has no address or business card! 50 per cent chance he will end up defrauding you. I have learnt my lessons. |
APC is finished! |
One came and promised FRESH AIR and gave us PUTRID air instead. Here they come again promising change and offering CHAINS! Wither Nigeria? |
All charge, no change! What is the economic agenda of this administration? The question is asked everyday and the response seems to be 'we dont give a damn'! We are virtually in a recesssion - there are job losses, withdrawal of foreign funds, stagnated budget process, trips without traction etc. Even the party structures have collapsed. There is no PDP or APC anywhere, just rulers and sole administrators. Governors are doing whatever they like, and that cuts accross at all levels. This is not how to govern a nation! Oil Minister has admitted it is CHEAPER to import petrol than to refine locally. I am not surprised at all. The COST of everything in the country is prohibitive, from land to water and to electricity. The FG has put a nail on it by raising electricity tarriff. It is the most nonsense step in government in many years. It has taken cost of production beyond the roof and it is likely to commit the nation into perpetual IMPORTATION of just everything. That in itself will keep putting pressure on the Naira. Incessant increases and NEW NEW charges will push us further into a vicious cycle. Why dont we learn from the Dubais and Qatars of this world, who have dropped charges and lowered costs in order to attract investments? Even the US stimulates its economy all the time by looking for ways to lower costs of living and of production. Why are all the ministers quiet? What is the plan? Where is the development blueprint? All charges, no change. Let us re-think and not turn Nigeria into Siberia. So much noise about how much to charge MTN! If you have all the money in the bank and have no plans on how you want to create MULTIPLIERS, then it leaves you worse off. Think. Think of how to bring down costs so that people can produce. Put the country to work and you'll be better off. 10% of 10 billion is better than 50% of 10 million. Is that not common sense? |
grandstar:If he has a goat as an opponent I predict the goat will win! He is not a president material and cant smell it! |
Now they have to pay another fine of $6billion for losing so badly and shamimg soccer! |
Possibly yes. They were probably chanting chains for Nigerian most wicked longstanding LOOTERS disguising as leaders who will not even stop at sharing the dollars meant to arm our soldiers! Even some of these modern day late in the day crusaders milked us dry when they had positions. It is only in Nigeria that such have mouth to talk, because they think we are gullible. |
Sunky200:What respect? They will gain some if they release their budget for scrutiny. Otherwise, no one takes them serious, and they themeslves are aware of that! |
If indeed he is plotting against christians then he should be prepared to be dealt with by the God of the Christians the same way God dealt with pharaoh! |
Nigeria's currency can have better value when our rulers STOP stuffing dollars in their private strongrooms! |
