Hello Guys

I was employed in a company on the 8th of January 2018, i was told by my employers that i will be on probation for 3months, and i will be receiving starting salary pending the time probation will end, then i will start receiving my normal salary.

My probation period ended 8th April 2018, but no appointment letter was issued to me and nothing was said about it, am still paid my starting salary instead of normal salary, I sent an email to my employer and she said the test isnt over yet, its the 6month now, pls guys what should I do

Don't think it's a scam so long as you been paid. The thing is your employer might be trying to take advantage. Did you sign any offer letter when you started the job? Is the business s one man business? Do you have other colleagues? If yes ask them how their case was when they started work?

Scam implies that you are working and not been paid but in this case you are been paid. All the best

D'banj and his wife ought to be arrested and sued for negligence.

This is why this country is terrible.

And he even has the guts to come to Instagram and be telling us about trying times, his head is not correct. In a country with a working legal system, he would be chilling in jail by now alongside his wife.

They think parenthood is about taking pictures and looking cute for the gram? I hope this has taught them a grave lesson

I swear, I'm pissed at this boy's death because it should never have happened

Dbanj is currently in the US now and my condolences

The question we need to ask is how did the baby get to the in door swimming pool located at the back of the house in the first place.

Dbanj stays in a big house in ikoyi and probably has a hand full of house helps, baby is one and just learning how to crawl, the wife also is a full time house wife so my question is how did the baby crawk unsupervised fron his room to the pool? How did he open the door to the pool room?

There are alot of unanswered questions at this moment but my heart goes out to the family stuff this trying period

He left this beautiful girl because of Dangote's money, oh really I do not understand this man, himself and an airplane pilot, so it's assumed that he still has a fairly good standard of living high, he does not need Dangote's money to live well. I think this man is greedy. cool cool cool

The marriage to dangote's daughter was pre arranged just like many hausa weddings are.

Besides go to the ladies Instagram handle and you will see that she is the typical Naija runs girl who has seen a rich single guy and automatically sees him as a meal ticket. There are alot of them arund lekki axis looking for their next

Jamil is a Muslim from an influential family in the North she is from the south east and a Christian so there is no way on Earth that they would have gotten married.

I think both of them should consider the interest of the baby and if the lady is not careful they will collect the baby from her and that will she will hear or see of her child.

This is the third or fourth lawyer that she has hired and yet they keep backing out mid way for reasons best know to them.

The best is to resolve it amicably away from the public glare of people or social media.

The irony is that I hear that her parents are both church pastors

Nothing will happen to his marriage. It's like you guys don't know and understand how the hausas reason. Both families have alot to lose in terms of financial status and will do my anything possible to keep the marriage intact unless the Jamil guy says he is no longer interested and divorces dangote's daughter which is very unlikely.

I feel for the lady though however she knew what she was getting her self into. Besides he didn't rape her. They are two big adults that had mutual sex.

You were having sex with a rich and popular hausa man that is single and most definitely won't marry you in this life time or next and think that have baby for him will make you relevant in his life? It will only make things worse.

Worse still he is married to dangote's daughter and you think going to rant on social media and hashtagging Linda ikeji will help the situation. Well it won't happen like that

My advice to her is to consider the child and come to an amicable financial support arrangement and train the child to the best of her capacity.

As the popular Africa proverb goes......when pickin don grow he go find him papa.

In life there are some battles that you have to just walk away from or concede defeat to be victorious.

It's even apparent that she is a self centered lady and most likely using the child as a meal ticket

There's nothing to verify with anyone, I know what i'm talking about. The highest paid nursing assistants or nursing attendants are in the north eastern states of new york and new jersey, average starting pay is between $11 - $17. Federal minimum wage is $7.25, varies by state. Let's assume a nursing assistant earns $400 every week, after federal tax, state tax, city tax, medicare tax, medicaid tax and disability tax have been deducted, they could be left with $290 or around N100,000 a week or N400,000 a month. Wow! big money! how many bankers take home 400k a month, but here's where it gets tricky. Average monthly rent for a 1 bedroom apartment in the ghetto parts of new york for example where my church member lives is $1100 or N400,000. Whoa, 400k already gone and we haven't even talked about monthly electricity bills that averages $250 or N90,000. We haven't accounted for telephone bill of maybe $50 or N18,000 a month. How about transportation cost? woe betide you if you own a car, your monthly insurance can range from $150 - $600 or N54,000 - N216,000. Of course most people can't afford the high insurance to they use metrocards, which costs about $120 or N43,000 a month. We haven't even talked about food, clothing, health insurance if your employer doesn't provide you one.

Remember they also pay tax for everything, so after the government has deducted income tax and all sort of taxes, when you buy biscuit, you still pay sales tax of 9%. When you factor in all the expense, you will now understand why i said my church member who was a doctor in Nigeria was probably better off in Nigeria than settling for nursing assistant job in America. You go from a job of high prestige to one where you are cleaning old folks butt, bathing them and dealing with all manners of insult all because you want to live in America? Don't just look at minimum wage, you cannot raise a family in America solely on minimum wage, most of these guys have several jobs. Its like they just pay rent for the sake of having an address, many of them hop from one job to another allowing only a few hours for sleep in between.[/quo

Thank you for.this truth. Alot of people don't even know what's up!

Really?! I simply can't understand some people's reasoning, FR! First of all, this isn't the first time she's calling the planner out, so I personally would expect a reasonable person who means well for the bride and her own business to reach out to the bride to apologise for messing up her big day. But no! She clearly stated that she hasn't received an apology and neither has the vendor contacted her since then. She has every right to sue her and call her out anywhere if the planner doesn't want to be reasonable. I pray all of you saying she's foolish for doing this don't meet bad vendors on your big day cos it is painful. Also, this is needed cos she's saving a lot of brides from unnecessary problem. And this is one of the reasons this country isn't moving forward. Y'all condone bad behaviour/attitude from people and pat them at the back because you don't want 'drama'. Continue!

Alot still don't get my point. There are certain standards and basic level agreements that should come with any transaction.

I don't tolerate mediocrity of any kind but again mediocrity will thrive when we refuse to set standards for ourselves. All of what is is doing is medicine after death.

I will ask again were there any per service level agreements with the wedding planner? If yes then she should go ahead and sue for deviation from same.

I am not holding forth for event planners because they can be really nasty and all that but again pre determined service level agreements would have saved her all the hassle of going to rant on social media and waiting for an apology via the same platform when at the same time the wedding planner is posting happy pictures of her wedding allover social media.

I have a tailor who sews very well but is a king of disappointment. Any time I want to give him clothes, I get him to draft a simple agreement and we spell out rules of engagement and dude has never disappointed me since them.

Same also at a wedding three weeks ago people had hand tags to gain access to the venue and some uninvited guests came to the venue claiming to know the couple. The security men at the entrance refused to allow them enter even when the couple came out to take the uninvited guests in. The security maintained thier ground and said thier oga in the office gave them the directive and that is what they will follow. The guests only gained entrance when they wore the hand tags and with clearance from the oga who wasn't at the wedding anyway. After the wedding the couple wanted to cause trouble for the security outfit claiming emotional embarrassment but the security outfit won't have any of this and simply brought out the terms of engagement top of which was that only guests with hand tags would be allowed access to the wedding. Again I will ask did she have any service level agreements for the the wedding planner of yes then she should sue and I will even support her

I didn't attend the wedding but people that did said that she kept changing the narrative ( venue decor table decor etc ) even up until last minute and yet expects the planner to peform magic. She had her close friends and family trying to add thier creative ingenuity to the event which is akin to like too many chefs trying to cook a broth.

Same event planner that has been organizing events for big corporates like dangote MTN zenith gtb for donkey years and they have never had issues with her.

Same person also planned the Lagos bit of dangote daugther's wedding wherein there was a private isreali security firm was on ground for the guests attending and recently planned his 60th birthday bash where I hear people had to be thumb printed to gain access

Well since she is looking for apologies on social media I will say this on behalf of the wedding planner.

"Iyawo Emenike abeg no vex na the hand work of devil and village people of the wedding planner cause am"

Just shut up already

If she likes let her plan Bill Gates 70th year doesn't change the fact that she's a terrible and unprofessional event planner with poor ethics, very disrespectful and rude.

I'm sure you're one of the workers trying to defend that fraud. Someone paid millions for a job, you messed up her job, unapologetic and no remorse and you we're expecting the bride not to complain. Go and tell adenike that she will be sued and made to pay for unprofessional conducts/serivice and dameges

Nonsense

Worker I laugh. Pls go through my profile.

If the lady in question has an issue with her wedding planner why not pick up her phone call and invite the the wedding planner for a meeting. Why rant on social media?

Again were there service level agreements with the wedding planner? If no what exactly is she going to sue for?

Did anybody die from food poisoning at the wedding or did armed robbers steal anything from the venue or is it that
Food didn't round or what?

We need to understand what she will sue for and how she will substantiate her claim in court.

Again she is married now so she should enjoy her honey moon and pray for husband's dwindling football career. I mean you give a job to someone and the person does not meet expectations and the next thing is to rant on social media while the person is basking in the he euphoria of a well done and ignoring your rant.

On a lighter note inbox me your account details let me send TGIF money to you because you sound like you need it. Worker ko usher ni

Few questions why didn't she sign a performance contract of some kind?

The wedding planner is one of the best in Lagos and has organized weddings for alot of rich and influencial people even up to abuja and kano. She was even the one that planned dangote's 60th birthday bash and her corporate clients include MTN, zenith, gtb etc

There is another part of this whole story that we need to listen too which is from the wedding planner.

I heard from a realiable source that she didn't allow the wedding planner do the job she was paid to do and that emenike's wife and her family members kept trying to change the script. The wedding planner sensing this did her best and left the rest afterall she has been paid upfront.

Now question is this why hire a wedding planner when you know you wont allow them do their job professionally?

Ok the flip side the wedding no matter how bad it turned out is an event that will fizzle with time. This same time last week it was prince Harry and Megan all over social media now nobody is talking about them again.

Or maybe this show of shame on social media is her own weird way of ensuring that her marriage continues to trend. You will be amazed at the kind of stuff people do to trend these days. I mean I didn't even know who she was until I stumbled on this thread.

She should focus on her marriage at this point.

Accordign to IMF Nigeria’s economy is still exiting a painful recession as of March 2018, but policy implementation needs to move quickly and comprehensively to facilitate economic recovery and help the country reap its longer-term potential, says the IMF in its latest economic health check of sub-Saharan Africa’s largest economy.

Growth in Nigeria recovered to 0.8 percent in 2017 after a historic collapse in oil prices—exacerbated by falling oil production and inadequate policies—took a major toll on the economy (chart). The recent rise in oil prices is supporting the recovery, but more needs to be done to reduce unemployment and address poverty.

Please tell me how prices of assets will hit the rock in 2017 during the recession when about 50% of companies closed up and investors pulled out and still during the same recession bounce to the top while the entire country only recovered at 0.8% only. What economic theory is that? What economic lie can you tell me to prove 233% increase of a company depending on 0.8% national growth.
oga! take am small small abeg. I no that you are a pundit but we need to pound it together.

We blame Buhari becos he is our president. Obama came to power when the US economy was crashing. he bailed out companies and regained americans dominance in the world market.

Buhari is the president who said that he would fix it. many other countries thrived under the fall of oil price. we are not the only country depending on oil. why were we the only country to fall and collapse in recession?

let us give u the benefit of the doubt. the oil prices have gone up to $80 per barrel and are we still making such lame excuses? other economies have bounced back and moving on. Are we still blaming the fall of oil price?

during goodluck it went from 59 to 62 then briefly picked above 100 but not for long. only in June 2014. Oil price has been how it is today. and it is still peaking now that this government is in power. but since it peaked what has been the achievements?

You need decongest your mind from this whole we must blame our president for the situation of things in the country.

Secondly don't compare america and nigeria.it is like mixing apples and oranges. US is a developed nation Naija is an emerging one so Marco economoc features will differ whether in a recession or boom period.

Thirdly Naija is import dependent and most companies prefer to import repack and sell. Yes alot of businesses closed down esp those that depend on dollar for importation.

However those that source local are doing well. Even big coys like .NB Nestle etc are sourcing locally. Never believe the IMF mumbo jumbo charade. As usual all thier forecasts are never accurate and it's clear that they are pursuing an imperialist agenda.

Interesting lie
233% increase in a year. I do not understand. Nigeria was declared to be in recession in 2016 and 2017. And in these years a company gained 233% than the previous years that we were not in recession. That is unclear to me o. How come?? During this period we heard that our government was pumping millions of dollars into the economy and that would definitely choke our naira. So how come a company gained 233% during this period when their gain would have come from investors patronizing the naira? During a period when 50% of small-scale investors closed up their businesses. during a time when naira was crashing and sinking like titanic.

they said that their success came from their performance to better economic macro story, the Investors’ and Exporters’ FX Window, our sound corporate governance model, focus on implementing strategic initiatives, skilled workforce and technology,”.
This is strange to me. Are they adding up the cash that monkey and snake swallowed to make up the financial growth? nothing ceases to surprise me anymore.

even dangote and all our billionaires have been falling down the forbes ranking loosing billions of dollars. and these people are growing 233%.

The best time to invest is when an economy is a in recession. This is the period when prices of assets are trading at rock bottom prices. A good example is stock prices in 2017 compared to now especially for companies with strong fundementals.

While we were all blaming buhari and APC for the recession which was largely driven by fall in oil prices linked to increased production of shale oil in the US and glut in the crude oil market, foreign investors with cheap dollars were busy buying assets at rock bottom prices and CSCS cleared alot of these transactions so their supendpous increase in top line revenue despite the recession is very much in place.
