It is apparent that we have a lot of ignorant and misinformed people on this thread. The GTB I know for sure won't institute a case against Innoson if they don't have hard concrete evidence against him and they have also shown strategic maturity by keeping quiet all throughout this saga. And yes they owe it a duty to depositors to go after any body that is a loan defaulter. The same Innoson that refused to pay Bank of Industry loan of over 4billion and used GEJ's influence to write off the loan cost of which had to be deducted from the MSME sinking fund account set aside annually by banks. For sake of maturity it will be best not to wash this man's dirty linen in public and I know that with due time the story around the 500m deductions from his overdraft account will come to light. One questions though for my igbo brothers......why do you think foreign investor have practically stayed away from him Asa business man? The answer is obvious and I am not trying to slander him but Innoson as he is now can't import motor parts for assemblage unless Nigerian banks provide credit guarantee to his supplier because he is known to always cut corners. The Sinotruck franchise should have gone to him instead of Dangote but for obvious reasons because even the Chinese know better. Let me stop here so that information asymmetry does not set in. As it is right now.......there is already a collective resolve among banks not to touch any of his transactions unless he fulfills all conditions with proper documentation. I admire his resolve to be an entrepreneur but he can also do this without cutting corners and I wish him all the best. For the GTB must go down supporters know this GTB is a Pan African bank with operations scattered and branches all over Africa. Infact the rest of Africa coverage accounts for over 65% of their revenue YTD and the bank is a systematically important bank meaning that it is one of the banks that won't be allowed to fail. Bank is currently the most capitalized bank on the NSE with market cap of over 1.2 trillion and currently trading @ N40 per share making it a toast of both local and international investors. Bank was the first to make over 100billion PAT in Nigeria and is set to post over 150b naira for FY 2017 so I laugh when people actually think that paying Innoson 8billion will make them go under. They have a duty to protect depositors funds and I know in due time the true picture of what transpired will come to light. Until we begin to see beyond tribal lines we won't go far in this country and for my ibo brothers the same tribal lines that is creating a false sense of bond right now is the same one that will divide as sooner or later a mbaise man will start claiming superiority over anambra man etc so keep it going. Meanwhile God bless Nigeria. |
I know people will come for my head and tag along the lines of children are a gift from God but the truth is people who are not able to conveniently cater for a child have no business copulating. I think it is even a greater sin to bring a child into this world knowing fully well that the ability and capacity to take care of the child is lacking. This might sound a bit harsh but it's the bitter truth. If the fortunes of the parents change for the worse after the child is born I can understand and yes there is need to assist such people but for two jobless graduates to copulate and have kids with the intention of using the kids As a meal ticket is wrong. God bless you Tobi and keep you strong. You will surely dine with kings and be a positive influencer in your generation |
This is a vivid account of what happened and the GTB I know will follow through to the end. They basically championed the exit of EMTS from the naija telco market when they discovered that the Abu Dhabi investors were moving profit out instead of servicing their loans Playing the tribal card was just overboard the only place where GTB erred was throwing the total cost for facility management and warehousing into innoson's account when they discovered he had fraudulently cleared th goods and the shipping documents in their custody was total valueless |
Lightening:I won't join issues with you. If truly GTB is owning Innoson and he can prove that amounts were wrongly deducted from his account, then the matter shouldn't even be in the court of law, the consumer protection unit of CBN can handle this and the bankers committee can instruct gtb to pay back and they will immediately. The innoson case is very similar to the etisalat case and past lessons formed the basis for banks moving in swiftly to take over the ailing telco. Again for reasons of confidentiality much can't be said. Let this also be a lesson to us as Nigerians are know for entering into agreements at their own volition with the intention of not honoring such agreements as such inactions comes with consequences. Also Nigeria is a place where with the right connection and funding you can get court judgments to favor you. I won't say more than this. Sometime in the future the true story will come to light. |
@ deji stop manipulating the story. This isn't what happened? Again people should try and get the true story No loan was over deducted by 700m. |
samvega:Bro pls don't mislead people.....the information in the link is from the corporate communications dept of Innoson so surely it will be in thier favour. |
A lot of people don't know the full details but a usual people will blame the banks. Banks has a duty to maximize return to shareholders and also preserve capital and Innoson's arrest shouldn't ground his business unless he is running a one minute show like hi pot bellied brother ifeanyi uba which also is a huge business/investment risk for any credible investor looking to do business with him. I mean the MD of Fidelity was arrested one time to clear his involvement in the Dieziani case and Fidelity didn't close shop neither did their workers come and post on social media For reasons of confidentiality I would say what I know about the case all I can say is Innoson got what was coming to him and let him go and fulfill his outstanding obligation. |
givan:Fool! Do you now the difference between excess crude account and foreign reserve? |
She even apply make up for the breast sef Everything fake. I am sure that even the screams and moans during sex will be fake too. |
Whether he is paid 10kobo is not the issue. The issue is Kiss Daniel was desperate to hit the limelight an signed a contract at his own volition. Nobody forced him and am pretty sure that he read the fine print before putting pen to paper. The record label people also played a gamble because their investments could have gone wrong and they would have lost money. We really need to stop this kill and go mentality that we have. No wonder it's difficult for foreign labels to come to Naija to hunt for new talent. And this dude does not look like some who earns 30k. We have his pictures before and after he hit the limelight. His story is akin to that of people who do ritual money and when they make it try to avoid carrying out the rituals associated with the rites and oath they have taken. If I were his record label I would put a ridiculous amount as premature exit clause in the contract. Something in the range of 500m naira and take it from there instead of exchanging banter with him on social media and davido is using divide and rule to confuse the dullard not knowing that Davido pushing him to exit his label is noather way of killing Kiss Daniel's fledgling career. Let him go and ask brymo and vector. Both are no longer with their old labels but they have to give a certain percentage of what they earn annually to their former labels before they terminated the contracts early. |
Good and congrats but get a job, pay off your student loans and be financially independent. |
I don't understand? What has Buhari got to do with this? People even end their own lives in developed countries and did Buhari force anybody to travel to Libya? |
Husband ke.....hell no...not with those eye brows..... I wish her the best of luck. Only God know how many guys she must have turned down in her prime. |
For the dullards in the house know this; the fact that the cars have been seized don't mean that they have been forfeited by the owners. Customs will usually ask the owners to come and pay the right duties after which the seized items are returned. Same for rice. The thing is a lot of people like to cut corners and prefer to smuggle rather than pay and clear through the normal routes so they can make more profits. A lot of the bullet proof cars seized in the past have been released to the owners after paying the right duties for clearance. A bag of foreign rice is 7k-8k @ Idi Iroko but once it crosses the border it's almost three times the price. People are just plain greedy and yet we will blame Buhari |
Big Fool....520k in today's money is like 1.5-2m He could have done a lot with the 520k in 2011 and be a naira millionaire in naija now |
Oando.....Oando......oando......oando |
Nice one. God bless his hustle. In other news, if the CoS office is this fine. I wonder how the governor's office will look like. |
Shell or any Oil and Gas firm will never ask you to pay for recruitment. Infact no serious organization will. I don't know why people find this hard to comprehend. |
In this soft real estate market, the house will be a hard sell. It's a nice house no doubt but customized to meet their taste at the time. So anybody buying will need to strip the house to bare and start from there unless the person has similar needs which I think is rare. The basement houses their studio and the main house is divided into five living quarters to house the twins, jude, guest rooms and for their workers. Peter opted for a cash out option when he got married to Lola and relocated to her duplex in B.Island before their second mansion was completed. And for the records this is their first house in Omole and not the current one they reside in @ Ikoyi. If you ask me, I think peter has an upper hand because he can still use his wife's connections to get some oil and gas deals. Speaking of which Lola really helped the group when they were coming up. She opened doors for them to get a lot of sponsorship when she was still in the advert industry and negotiated huge fees for some of their concerts both home and abroad. She also used her Dad's connection to secure juicy oil contracts for them. I wonder why there is so much acrimony towards her now. I hear people say Psquare's mum was against their wedding but my question is why wasn't she against them when she was helping them build a brand and honestly if Peter is happy with Lola then the best they can do is to be happy for him. Imagine the potential loss in earnings from the cancelled local and foreign shows and even the GLO deal that nets them an average of 200m per year. And to think that the rife is not up to one year and they are already selling assets. I wish them the best jare! |
The guy is a drug addict that has been relapsing despite several rehab and intervention exercises He was sent home from the UK when his drug addiction became a threat to the wife and kids and was kept under close watch and key. There have been several attempts to rehab him but all failed and I guess Tinubu practically gave up. More reason why we never really heard about him.I alsogathered that the deceased is always around Lagos Island anytime he is not under watch where he has access to drugs. I suspect he must have gone on a drug binge which resulted in this sad event. Drug addiction is a bad thing and I don't even pray for my enemy to have it. There Isa popular Naija pastor whose two kids (boy and girl) are chronic dug addicts. Gist is the pastor has tried everything possible even spirtual to no avail. Kids are currently in a rehab centre somewhere in Europe and have been there for four plus years with little signs of recovery but we are made to believe that they are "based" abroad. RIP to the Deceased! |
300 pages @ the current advert rates is 165m naira. I am sure this amount will be inflated as this is another avenue for them to siphon money. This amount if channelled towards salary payments can change lives. God help us. |
That jeep is worth 50-70m and the person he is presenting it to does not need it. Adebayo's house is ikoyi is a site to behold and this is just one of his numerous houses. Fayose could have used this cash to settle some pensioners or even teachers that owed money. |
favourmic:Not hating bro......infact I admire your courage given that they say that Naija men are not romantic so I guess displaying your Bae's picture on nairaland for people to wish her HBD breaks this stereotype and I I don already wish her HBD and you still dey attack me. Anyways where is the birthday cake? On the marital side I hope you are going to put. a ring on it because there is only one thing that comes to mind when you see grown men behaving like thi |
favourmic:Happy birthday to your medicine. I hope she would gladly do same for you @ the drop of a hat otherwise na O.Y.O levels you dey.#hopelessromantispotted. Back to the topic......e be like say dem dey pay Ooni appearance fee for all these him outings because I am not understanding again. I mean I quite agree with the need for him to travel and visit other states and regions to promote peace and unity but showing up for new yam festival again is a new one even for me and I am his avid fan. God bless Nigeria. |
Picture looks like the set of music video shoot to me. |
He is grossly obese for his age. He needs to shed weight fast. HBD all the same. I pray you learn to put the interest of the people first in your endeavors. You are already a wealthy person by all standards and can still make money legitimately from your business so you need to abstain from always cutting corners and trying to scam your business partners most especially the ones that come from the same village with you(i.e Cosmos Maduka) |
I thought they said that the Oba must never leave palace.....what is he then doing at such a mundane event? |
Aminat508:Why are you afraid? Abi you wan become Ooni new wife? |
neonly:Epic..hahahahahaha |
I get really annoyed when we promote mediocrity so what if she is selling groundnut? There are people who have done more demeaning jobs. Have a friend who worked @ construction sites @ night, barbed during the day all to make ends meet while in school. Kudos to her but seriously it's nothing special in my own opinion |
Can the babe cook? See as she deck up with make up for cooking competition. |
PrecisionFx:Pls stop talking like a someone without brain...stolen crude as in how? One thing you people don't know is that Dangote has oil wells in the Niger Delta...Ghana, Angola and even Kenya. He does not need to depend on oil from the Niger Delta and he can even buy from the Saudis who have oil in abundance. I don't think Dangote will scoop to the level of buying stolen crude. He has more to lose if he thinks of doing this. |
