God the Father is always going to be God. I am saying that the Jehovah of the Old Testament is the same person we know as Jesus Christ in the New Testament. One doesn't have to lose His position for the other to be divine. Let me put it this way: The Father sent Jehovah to the prophets of old. And that is why all the titles of Jehovah in the Old Testament belong to Jesus Christ.
Example: In the Old Testament, we learn that there is no Savior but Jehovah; in the New Testament, Jesus Christ is the only Savior.
