There you are!!

Nigeria has been doing all that too for ages. But it's a burden that's too much for us to carry because we're a poor country.

Those countries can afford it. But we can't!!!
Let us pick one. Where is the unemployment subsidy in Nigeria. When ever has there been that?

You're not answering my question.

Which European countries have subsidy on petrol and Dollar?

Does the US subsidize petrol?

When you understand why they won't subsidize the two above, you'll understand why the Nigeria government can't afford to subsidize them anymore.
How will the US Fed subsidize the Dollar when it creates it by fiat?
And yes, many states in the US subsidize petrol.

Which European countries pay subsidy on Dollar and petrol? And let me know when the US started paying subsidy on petrol? Those are the two important subsidies removed
Both European countries and the USA pay many subsidies, including subsidies on PMS, subsidies to farmers, education subsidies, health care subsidies, unemployment subsidies, housing subsidies, to many to mention.

So, why are there no subsidy in European countries and America?

When you undertake this type of reform, there would be suffering initially but things would turn around, as I predicted within 20-40 years.

The only reason anyone should object this should be corruption
Please tell me you just made a joke and did not say there are no subsidies in Europe and America.
Honestly, tell me you didnt just say that.

You suggested what? To Whom? Your Government refused to implement a Safety Net, has not even implemented Subsidy Removal...etc, yet you think IMF and World Bank are to be blamed for your government's incompetence? undecided

2. Dubious rates? Are said loans being shoved down the throat of your government or something? undecided
1. Yes, loans are indeed being shoved down our throats if you dont know.
2. What fxxxxking safety net are you talking about? Rice? You must be a joker.
3. Subsidy removal was said to be implemented - but once they immediately floated the naira of course the price of imported PMS races up instantly.
4. You dont understand that we agree our govt is corrupt and incompetent, but you cant see the bigger corruption of the WB and IMF.
5. You dont understand why the Fed can command money into existence by sheer word of mouth, but everyone else must be tied to that imagined dollar. You know nothing of economics. Dont worry, BRICS is coming.

Lol. You will be boiled to death gradually like a frog in hot water and you will never understand what is happening.
EVERY economy that has needed to grow has had to have an injection of funds, not a draining of funds.

This happened in Europe after the 2nd World War. This happened in the USA during the great depression.
NOT one single one of these places EVER resorted to punishing the poor, taxing them more or removing subsidies. They ONLY recommend these suicidal steps for third world countries.

If anything, they made more assistance available to the poor consistently.
This, of course is nothing but SAP 2.0 and it will do the same thing SAP did - wreck the economy. And they know it.

Also NO import dependent economy should devalue its currency. That is economic suicide.
If you dont understand that devaluation favors the west because they buy everything you have cheaper, you dont understand anything.

Wake up.

IMF and World Bank NEVER suggested that your Government remove ALL subsidies. One of the reforms suggests that the government set up a safety net — a set of subsidy programs. So, where did you get your false information from? I suggest you first visit the details of the actual reforms suggested by the World Bank before you continue shooting off misinformation on this matter. undecided
This is BS. They suggested it over and over again aggressively, even saying that the removals so far are not enough. They want to kill Africans.
Look, if you dont understand that this is all about getting your government to take loans and pay for them at dubious rates, you dont understand ANYTHING.

It would take about 20-40 years to pay off when the coming generation becomed used to the new pricing, so things are not going to change tomorrow morning but it will later.

Having said that, without nothing done to tame corruption and cut down the cost of running government, this reform would rarely materialize

Please mention when China and Singapore removied all subsidies, increased the price of PMS by over 200 per cent in one day, radically forced inflation, floated its currency to devalue it, caused petrol scarcities, faced a protest for all this and then immediately increased the price of PMS again.

LordReed:
But is that good?
I dont know because the life I know of this world is a sadistic and monstrous morbid construction fit for the perverse cosmic masturbation of deities. So transiting to another version eternally may only turn out to be heightened levels of cosmic perversion, sadism nd morbidity.

One theory that is important though, even if fringe is that this is a soul farm for higher beings - the higher beings being the farmers and we being the farmed. Our harvested energies may therefore be powering something we can no more comprehend than a potato can comprehend a potato farmer.

Everyday the pigs in a farm are fed by a pig farmer and they think he is caring for them. When he takes one away the pigs think it has gone to a better place, because the farmer only ever feeds and cares for them. However, he is taking it to the slaughter to consume it for his own energy, or to sell it for his own money to someone else who will consume it. Worse still, he may use its hide for candle sticks and shoes.

The world may be a pig farm and we might be the pigs and death might simply be the farmer harvesting what he has raised, to consume it. Who knows?

These are all harsh thoughts - but very realistic thoughts. The warm and friendly thought will be something else and in that regard my best thought is that the world is a school for the education of conscious beings. And if so, there are harder classes ahead, some will also repeat this class, and some will drop out entirely.

Furthermore, even by Reno's definition of bandits, as Aisha has shown, bandits were taken out by Buhari - contrary to Reno's claims. So he was indeed lying, period/ -

Lemme start by saying I have not given this a lot of thought because this question only occurred to me this morning.

Now I am talking about the state of being dead not the process of getting there aka dying.

In your response start by defining good then move on to if you think death meets that definition and final the characteristics of death that you think makes your position valid.

The goal of this discussion is just air our views and have a good discussion, no pressure.
It may be that death does not exist, only transitions of life to life do.

No he didnt, if he did, he would have made the obvious connection with the government claims to have "technically defeated" Boko Haram.
Dont worry. Maybe someone like you will also believe that the PH Refinery is "technically" complete as they have said.
Or that subsidy was removed but suddenly "shortfall" and "under recovery" came into existence.

You should know the reall context of his statement is an attempt to claim that the govt is doing well with security issues in the North.

No one has said s this. And no one would - but all terrorists are indeed criminals. Nevertheless. What I am telling you is simple: that when a government wants to dribble you, it can play with words, even technically right words to do so. I gave the subsidy example.

The only reason the word "bandits" was introduced in Nigeria was to claim that terrorists had been defeated, and so these were different people. If you dont understand that, you dont understand anything.

Highway robbers, gangs of armed hoodlums of every description have always existed, not just in Nigera but all over the world. In Nigeria, the word "bandit" was introduced into the public consciousness for a specific reason - and it was simply to claim that the terrorism problem had been solved.

Guestlander:
Olodo ni e joo. What arrant nonsense are you talking about? If one should go by your logic then a pickpocket and a suicide bomber are all the same.
Did you even go to school?
I dont know what they have used on you all. You are so naive you dont understand the slightest thing. You are the sort of people who Squealer of Animal Farm can dribble by saying "A bird's wings comrades, is an organ of propulsion and not of manipulation. It is therefore, a leg." In case you dont know the book, Animal Farm, by George Orwell, please google the context of what I just wrote here. You will also find that Comrade Squealer used the words "propulsion" and "manipulation" correctly and yet there was a fantastic dribble being played.

They key is to understand the context when words are being played with.

Let me just summarize it for you. In a country where a government wishes to tell you that it has "technically defeated" BOKO HARAM, it will suddenly shift to different sets of terms for the same people. So it will called them Herdsmen. It will call them Bandits. It will call them Criminals. Every single one of those terms will be technically right, but the simple truth is that they are dribbling you with words. Because in Nigeria, there is scant difference between the so called terrorist and the so called bandit - and the terms are as fluid as they come.

To give you a very simple analogy, the government said fuel subsidy is gone. When it became obvious that there is still backdoor subsidy, the terms suddenly changed to NNPC describing it as "shortfall" and "under-recovery." People like you will bring out a book of financial terms and read there that these terms are right. And you will go to bed naive to how fantastically someone just dribbled you.

Please do know that a terrorist is also a bandit and a criminal, especially in the context of the history of Northern violence in Nigeria. As members of terrorist groups still today roam as random sets of bandits. Indeed as someone pointed out, the definition he produced for terrorist also fits many politicians. But for you lot, if a dictionary definition of a politician is produced, that will suffice to prove to you that politicians are not terrorists. How naive.

Reno is an extremely dishonest person and one of the most shameless creatures on Earth. He is simply playing with words there to dribble the naive.
Nuff said.

does anyone know what it means?
Jamesmatic:
It's a gay term to know the different roles they play. Like the Top is also called active that's the man fucking and doing the whole move. While the bottom also called passive is like the babe receiving. I have studied little about LGBTQ mostly Gay and sadly they are everywhere in the world and a lot of people are coming out as gay. These Gay people have a high sex drive and they are highly loyal to each other and this is the part that pisses me off. Gay loyalty is different from normal straight people. You can offer a girl in a serious relationship a big amount and some can be tempted to go Bleep that dick secretly but that can never happen in a gay relationship instead they will tell their partner about it and maybe if he likes the gay man they can go for a party and right after the sex they will dump him. My observation about this gay thing is they carry different types of terrible diseases you can imagine HIV etc and they also die lonely at old age. When they are old they always have this regret about it. Being gay also denies them a wife kids and family but most in the West adopt kids they raise as their own and they never allow this kid they raise to be Gay. They make sure they get married and have a normal life.

Some gays are cut and uncut. The cut and uncut means circumcised and uncircumcised. Some gay people like it cut and some uncut. The headquarters of Gay in Europe is Germany followed by the Netherlands and France. In these countries, you can find thousands of them and lately, they now have boys' bars and girls' bars in Europe. The only country that has a low number of gays in Europe is Poland and Sweden. These two countries have a large group of Homophobes, especially Poland. Sadly gay people are here to stay because the Western government has relaxed its laws to accommodate these people.

Recently I was having an argument with a friend about gay people based on my observation I argued with him that society contributes to creating Gay people and they disagreed with me and I gave him an example that there are some people who in society have low self-esteem or are not classy and they sometimes they don't get enough attention, for instance, there is a girl was behave like a grandma because she’s not good looking or not sexy and boys are not coming her way Nobody toast or ask her out. With time it will be eating her up because no man wants her because she's ugly or not attractive and a lesbian can notice this sign in this particular ugly girl and befriend her and start showing her love and care and with time she will feel comfortable with her and before you know she's a full-blown girl to a lesbian and that's how it goes both ways and this is my little observation about the causes of same-sex in the society.
The terms can refer to a Dominant and Submissive in a BDSM/ Power/ Control Relationship.
The Top is the Dominant and the Bottom is the submissive.
