tctrills: No man will be punished for the sins of Adam. We will be judged and punished for our sins. Where is it written that we will be punished for Adam's sins. I must add that Jesus Christ died and rose to ensure that no one suffers for Adam's actions + You are contradicting yourself. If Adams sin was not inherited then Jesus would not have to die. Christian doctrine is that Adamic sin was inherited. Besides, it is clear that sin was inherited - Romans 5:12: "Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—" Romans 5:18–19: "Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous." 1 Corinthians 15:21-22: "For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive." Psalm 51:5: "Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me." Finally the Bible contradicts itself by teaching that God avenges the sin of the father unto his descendants. (Exodus 34:6–7) "The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God... maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation." |

TenQ: I will like to know 1. What does Sacrifice mean in Islam? 2. Who do you sacrifice to? 3. What is the sacrifice for? 4. Why do you sacrifice Life in Islam?
Four questions: What, Who, Purpose, Why
In contrast: Sacrifice in Christianity is giving up to God something that belongs to you “In the Torah, God commanded sacrifices such as burnt offerings for worship, sin offerings for atonement, and peace offerings for fellowship showing that sin requires the shedding of blood. However, these sacrifices were temporary and had to be repeated. Christianity teaches that this system was fulfilled in Jesus Christ, who is the perfect and final sacrifice. Instead of humans continually offering animals, God provided the sacrifice Himself, once and for all, so that forgiveness is given to those who place their faith in Him.”
So, will the knowledgeable Muslims answer these four questions. Support with Hadiths and Qur'an verses will be appreciated.
Thanks + Your Yahweh also commanded Abram to kill his son as a sacrifice to him. What sort of barbaric and demonic command is that. |
Islam › Re: Rights Of Children In Islam! by DeepSight(m): 1:05pm On Apr 10 |
AbuTwins: Hadith (Narrated by ‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Umar): "Each of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The ruler who is in charge of people is a shepherd and is responsible for them. The man is the shepherd of his household and is responsible for them. The woman is the shepherd of her husband’s house and child and is responsible for them. The slave is the shepherd of his master’s wealth and is responsible for it. Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock." — Narrated by al-Bukhari, 2416; Muslim, 1829
Islam recognizes that children have significant rights over their parents, just as parents have rights over their children. This mutual responsibility is emphasized in both the Qur’an and authentic Prophetic traditions (hadith).
1. Foundational Principle: Mutual Rights Between Parents and Children *Qur’anic Basis: Allah calls the righteous (abrar) those who honor their parents and children. *Prophetic Teaching: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) explicitly stated that children have rights over their parents, highlighting the importance of fulfilling these rights.
2. Rights of Children Before Birth Choosing a Righteous Mother
Parents, especially fathers, have the responsibility to choose a righteous and religiously committed wife to ensure a good upbringing for the child. The Prophet (peace be upon him) advised marrying for religious commitment over wealth, lineage, or beauty. Compatibility and good lineage are recommended to promote harmony and avoid negative traits being passed on. 3. Rights of Children After Birth a) Tahnik (Softening the Child’s Mouth)
It is Sunnah (recommended) to perform tahnik by placing softened dates in the newborn’s mouth. This practice was done by the Prophet (peace be upon him) himself and is considered a blessing. b) Naming the Child
Giving a good and meaningful name is important. Names like ‘Abd-Allah and ‘Abd al-Rahman are beloved to Allah. Naming on the seventh day is Sunnah, but naming on the day of birth is also permissible. Naming after Prophets is encouraged. c) Shaving the Head and Charity
On the seventh day, it is Sunnah to shave the child’s head. The weight of the hair in silver should be given as charity. This act symbolizes purification and gratitude. d) ‘Aqiqah (Sacrificial Offering)
The father is encouraged to perform ‘aqiqah by sacrificing animals. Two sheep for a boy, one for a girl. This is a form of gratitude and celebration of the child’s birth. e) Circumcision
Circumcision is part of the natural fitrah (innate disposition) and is recommended for cleanliness and religious reasons. It is one of the five practices that fit within the natural state of a Muslim. 4. Rights Regarding Education and Upbringing a) Teaching Islam and Good Morals
Parents are shepherds responsible for their children’s guidance. They must teach children Islamic creed (aqidah), acts of worship (especially prayer), and good manners. Education should be gradual, starting with the most important religious duties. b) Teaching Prayer and Discipline
Children should be taught to pray by age seven. Light discipline (smacking) is permitted if they neglect prayer by age ten. This emphasizes the importance of early religious education. c) Fasting and Other Religious Practices
Children are gradually introduced to fasting, as exemplified by the Prophet’s community. Toys or distractions were used to help children fast without distress. d) Training in Good Manners and Characteristics
Parents must instill good behavior towards Allah, the Prophet, the Quran, the Muslim community, neighbors, and friends. Proper social conduct and respect for others’ rights are essential parts of upbringing. Islam places great emphasis on the rights of children, starting even before birth and continuing through their upbringing. These rights encompass physical care, spiritual education, moral training, and social development. Parents are entrusted with the sacred responsibility to nurture their children in a balanced way that fulfills both their worldly and spiritual needs, ensuring they grow into righteous and responsible individuals. May Allah bless our children and make them a source of solace for us in this world and in the next! Aamin.

basilico: I'll put this down for the record. Democrats usually pick on a populist topic , one that they know the Republicans will oppose. Reparations is one. The Republicans are the ones who actually freed the slaves , leading to the civil war. Not a single Republican owned a slave. One main reason for it's formation was to abolish slavery. It behoves the mind how democrats twist history to cast Republicans as the slavery party. Bewildering at the least. Democrats are the party of Jim Crow and KKK. Only two or three KKK members from the South became Republicans ,and the most prominent Byrd was adulated by Biden,Clinton's and the democrats in general. The big switch never happened the way democrats put it, the generation of KKK adherents died out. Robert Byrd won his seat as a democrat for 51 years till his death in 2010. When socialists run out of money they hike taxes or create new ones like the wealth tax. Two blue states are working on slapping the wealthy leaving their hellholes with an exit tax . When it comes to reparations, democrats want the black vote solidly locked in. Portray Republicans as white supremacists for opposing reparations. Joe Biden every written speech as President was always against white supremacy , he stated it was the most serious threat to Maeica severally. Immigrants including whites , blacks and the brown should pay reparations because the wealth of America was built on the backs of slaves. How about the blacks who made it big , wasn't their wealth built on the backs of slavery. Oprah Winfrey for instant , she should pay reparations if her wealth can be traced to slavery. Trump whose parents immigrated in the 1900s should pay reparations if we can trace a dollar of his wealth to slavery. In short the whole reparations pushed by democrats is only about driving a wedge between the American society and creating a permanent voting block. Nothing more, no love for the black community at all if they won't vote for Democrats. + The modern reality has changed. The switch did happen. Republicans today are the party against colored people in every way. |

Going by the last three verses I gave you, there is even a contradiction there. One of those verses specifically said that the child shall not bear the sin of the father. How does this not contradict the doctrine of inherited original sin. Besides such a doctrine is inherently unjust. |

FxMasterz: I deliberately quoted scriptures and gave you a Google AI screenshot because I know how deeply ignorant you are, yet you still reject the truth. That's a basic Christian doctrine. Very fundamental. Tomorrow, you'll come and tell me that you too have read the Bible extensively. + There are many things in the Bible I know are in the Bible but I still believe are false. But as regards you claiming that the death referred to in the Garden of Eden was the second death of Revelation, that is very debatable. I will not even go into the fact that that death promised in the Garden was said to be one that would happen in the very day that they ate the fruit. Which turned out not to be the case. If anything, the Serpent spoke the truth, saying that they would not die but become like God, knowing good and evil, which is exactly what happened. Because, He wanted us to know that even though He was not born of man, the experience wasn't an easy one for Him. He wanted us to know the extent of His agony and the excruciating pains The had to go through, and the depth of His love for us. If He hadn't done that, many of us would think He escaped pains because He was supernaturally enabled and made for the task.
The Gethsemane prayers makes us appreciate His sacrifice and know truly that He really suffered. Otherwise, being the Son of God, we'll think He didn't feel any pain.
Do you know what Jesus answered Pilate when he was boasting that he has the power to release Jesus? Jesus replied him that Pilate can do nothing for, or against Him except it was given him from above. I want you to go and think on that. + No amount of grammar can wish away the fact that he prayed for the cup to pass over his head. In short, he didnt want it. Certainly not at the point of that prayer. Even if you show other verses where he says it was his will, then that discloses contradictions. And if we say that it was not contradictory, but just an expression of his human fear, you really must interrogate again the idea that he is also God. |

tctrills: You are right, we will be punished for our own sins if we don't repent. But the verses you quoted never said that God doesn't forgive sin. God has the power to clean our sins and that comes through the atonement of Jesus Christ. Here, God Himself paid the price of all sin. So let's put all the information together. No other person will be punished for your sin. But repentance and forgiveness is granted through the atonement of God Himself for sin. If you don't repent, the atonement has no effect on you. These summaries the bible teaches. If you put the verses you quoted in context with other verses in the bible, this is where you will arrive at. + I know you see the contradiction so I will leave it and move on to other issues. |

FxMasterz: I just want to make a few clarifications to further enhance your understanding. And I believe Tctrills would give you the most balanced teachings on these. There are several things you do not know, yet you make hasty conclusions based on half knowledge.
1. The wages of sin is death: The death here does not refer to the physical death but to a type of death called "the second death". This death is an eternal separation from God. It is the real death because God created man originally for fellowship. Separation from God eternally is death as far as the Bible is concerned.
That's why, those who are forgiven and blood washed by Christ do not partake of the second death. Those who are not forgiven and are not washed are partakers of this death because it is their wage. Both the righteous and sinner die, but only the sinner dies the second death.
Revelation 21:8
"But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” + You are only looking for excuses and escape routes. But let us leave this. 2. Jesus willingly gave Himself: Yes, He even rebuked Peter when he was praying against His crucification. And Jesus said it very clearly:
John 10:18
"No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father."
He took it up again in 3 days.
He even said "Greater love has no man than this, that a man should lay down His life for His friends."
He constantly told the crowd in parable, "Destroy this temple, and I'll raise it up in three days".
Even in the Gethsemane prayer, He said "not as I will but Thy will be done" + If it was his will, why did he pray for the cup to pass over him and then said not his will but the will of the father should be done? |

Elements of Cultism in MAGA
---------------
The term "MAGA cultism" is a critical framework used by sociologists, psychologists, and political commentators to describe the intense, often unquestioning loyalty displayed by the most ardent supporters of Donald Trump and the "Make America Great Again" movement.
While "MAGA" is a mainstream political movement, the "cult" label is applied when the behavior of its followers shifts from traditional political support to dynamics typically seen in high-control groups.
Core Characteristics of the "MAGA Cult" Narrative Observers who use this term generally point to several specific sociological markers:
Charismatic Authority: The movement centers entirely on a single figurehead rather than a set of static ideologies. Loyalty is to the person (Donald Trump) rather than the Republican Party or specific conservative doctrines.
Alternative Reality & Truth: A defining trait is the rejection of outside information (mainstream media, science, judicial rulings) in favor of the leader's word. This is often seen in the persistent belief in "The Big Lie" (that the 2020 election was stolen) despite exhaustive evidence to the contrary.
The "Us vs. Them" Siege Mentality: The movement often frame itself as being under constant attack by a "Deep State," "globalists," or "the radical left." This creates a defensive bond among members that prioritizes group survival over objective policy debate.
Isolation from Dissent: Critics argue that the movement creates "information silos" or echo chambers where any internal dissent is treated as betrayal (e.g., the labeling of traditional Republicans as "RINOs" or Traitors). |
