I don't STEAL from God so tithing is very important to me.
Money for booze, gambling and strip clubs should not get in the way.
It's called management. . . . . . . . . . Stop dating vagrants
Management? The amount you spend on hookers per day can make you a landlord in Ajegunle.

Stop acting like a crazed ram. . . . .

Use your own money to pay your tithes. . .
Joint account or no joint account(ya paycheck is your paycheck).
Take your 10% out and give to God. . . . . I doubt your boy/f would complain about that UNLESS he is a freeloader. Tongue
If he doesn't want to tithe. . . .His loss.
You and I know that this chic is too clever to date a free loader like Sly and Pataki.

You make so much noise about this tithe thing as if you are current in your payments. How do you manage to make your monthly payments after wasting so much on booze, hookers, gambling and strip clubs?

Loads of cats don't understand it and since the spirit lives in you(i hope this aint no blasphemy Grin), it's your duty to teach the tight-fisted cunt.
This should teach u a lesson. . . . . .Stop dating twitz!!!

I heard the red light zone is on strike, how are you fairing?
RomanceRe: Funmi's Dilemma by DeepZone(op): 11:49pm On Sep 23, 2008
yea I'm sure God's requirement for hell is tithing. Not the fact that you are guilty of bashing other females, it's only tithe the Lord will for because He needs your money. Ar you drunk tonight?

and for someone who claims to be so close to God, what was that crack about reading OK mag more than the Bible?
I don not yield to tantrums from any moral police again. Thank you, it's not worth my time.

How would you be "lying to God"
Because his money is mine and mine is his'. What if there is a conflict of interest along the line especially if we run into financial murky waters? Do you think he'll let me rest if i continue to write checks to the church?
RomanceRe: Funmi's Dilemma by DeepZone(op): 11:43pm On Sep 23, 2008
Funmi, seriously, if you want to get better advice, one that is more considerable than all this NL rubbish advices, find a friend or family to talk to.
Personally, I would not discuss my personal life publicly like this on NL.
I understand that some advice are worth listening to, but seriously. . . .seriously, think about it

Well, this is my 2cent sha.
Some things are better off left at home
You pick the ones you can and leave others as chaff. Besides, you never can tell someone may come out with an idea that is yet to occur to you. I may be a deviant and an amazon, but i don't mess with God. I'd rather stay on my own than go to hell because of a man.
RomanceRe: Funmi's Dilemma by DeepZone(op): 11:40pm On Sep 23, 2008
Lol that's enough for you to be worry about whether marrying him or not? Funny person

I agree with your boyfriend. That aside, don't tell me a whole "women this men that" Funmi would actually get married and rely solely on a joint account? How depressing.

Use your OWN account for tithing and leave his money alone. Let the joint account be used for family expenses

Simple.
You think I've not thought about that? Wouldn't that be lying unto God since his income is part of my earnings?
RomanceRe: Funmi's Dilemma by DeepZone(op): 11:33pm On Sep 23, 2008
Dump HIM and marry PATAKI.
Pataki is a strong believer of paying tithes
God forbid!. You have to get a job first before talking about tithes. That broke ass negro needs a JAB.
RomanceFunmi's Dilemma by DeepZone(op): 11:30pm On Sep 23, 2008
Dear Nairaland,
My boyfriend hates tithing and strongly believes it's a waste of money but I am the exact opposite of that line of thinking. I also believe that if a man exhibits a particular behavior, he may never change it even after marriage. I'm a bit worried that if i go ahead and marry him, I may be compromising my faith because he may never accept the truth behind tithing. I'm not sure whether he'll change because anytime i bring up the issue of tithing, he goes ballistic and prefers to believe that it's a weapon used by pastors to con their laity. We tend to agree on everything but what if we get married and combine our income, will it be possible for me to stash away 10% of our combined income for God's work? Won't that make him go haywire if he looks at the statement of account?.

The real question will be: Do i marry him and displease God or do I ignore God's word and marry him since I love him so much?

Mr Nuzo, the topic goes beyond naming who the alleged thief was. It's a continuation of the longstanding north-bashing some nairalanders like Queenisha and Deepzone thrive on. It definitely leaves 'more answers than questions'.

CelebritiesRe: Lola Okusami by DeepZone(op): 1:48pm On Sep 23, 2008
The exact point I was trying to make.
It just seems sick to me. You love her because she's yoruba? Not minding that she might be crap or worse still a murderer. As long as she's Yoruba, yup! she's good to go
For some reason, I'm not like that. It's either you kick it for me or not. I'm not gonna tell you that MsA is better than MsB because Ms A is yoruba. That mentality in our young minds spells doom for Nigeria. It means that if she was a judge in a Nigerian show, the girl will make it well before other better candidates because of her ethnicity. Nigeria needs serious prayers.

Anyway you are entitled to your own opinion. So that was not ridiculous enough.Have you forgotten that the lawmakers are to check the executive of any excessiveness.

Now that they are into prostrating business, how do they go about checkmating the excos?
The prostration was strictly cultural and has nothing to do with their job. Stop alluding nonsense here after all salutation is not love.

are you worried about non Christians or about your dreams ?
Oya go and pay $50 to a babalawo

why are you bothering for answers then.

no be for ya bed?
I never find answer because all I got here was pray and pray to subdue the dreams but no interpretation for the ones I've dreamed of. Will the prayer bind every form of dream in my sleep?
Christianity EtcRe: Who Will Interpret My Dreams? by DeepZone(op): 1:01am On Sep 23, 2008
True . . . but you'D be lying if you say that deep down when you log off nairaland your conscience (actually God's still small voice) doesnt come back to remind you of those things that you did wrong. Do you repent of them or just brush them off as one of those things that is no fault of ours?
There are no big and small sins . .
Recently I've decided to make amends and ignore those that try so hard to get under my flesh. I don't see a reason why i should be fighting with people I barely know over a non issue. Making online enemies actually prevents you from having a relationship with God but this confession shouldn't be a recipe for them to descend on me because my fangs are still in tact,
Christianity EtcRe: Who Will Interpret My Dreams? by DeepZone(op): 12:52am On Sep 23, 2008
madam DZ, this is a hard one . . . do we fall into temptations? Yes we do, almost every second but for a genuine child of God, he/she is quick to realise a fault and ask for forgiveness, i don't believe that breaks your fellowship with God.

It is different from someone who wilfully neglects salvation, chooses to sin on purpose knowing that this grieves the Holy Ghost . . .

. . . again just my opinion. Someone else who has another idea can chip in.
95% of the sins we commit are not on purpose. Sin usually comes by weakness of the flesh which may not be our fault there is.
Sins like gossiping, back biting, fighting, quarelling on nairaland, lying all come by impulse. It's only sins like adultery and fornication(on the side of men), piracy, selling fake things, tribalism etc that are planned sins.
Christianity EtcRe: Who Will Interpret My Dreams? by DeepZone(op): 12:47am On Sep 23, 2008
Chei deepzone
na serious deepzone you dey o
kidding.

I don't know about you but when I'm sick with say flu or my sinus infections,I have weird dreams.
If you say you're a Christian, like David said, all you need to do is get on your knees, repent sincerely of your sins and cancel those dreams in the name of Jesus.
The Bible says that no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper.
Declare that on your life.
Yes you can,you can also ask someone you know who is stronger in the Lord and more knowledgeable in things of God to pray with you.
Evil sprits do attack people in dreams and the greatest weapon of the devil is instilling fear.
Your family shall not die in Jesus name.
They'll enjoy goodhealth and prosperity.
I bind the spirit of suicide and fear in Jesus' name.
There are many promises for you in the Bible.

The enemy shall come in one way and flee seven ways that is a powerful promise
When the enemy comes to you like a flood, the Lord will raise a standard against him another great promise
What about Non Christians? Does it mean that since they don't believe in Jesus, the devil will be tormenting them in their sleep forever?
Again, I learnt in psychology that dreams usually come during REM sleep and has nothing to do with the devil which coincides with the thoughts of suicide and eventual dream about it yesterday.

I was so disturbed at work today that i talked to someone who promised to hook me up with an astrologer for a $50 fee but something is telling me that those crystal ball people are from the devil.
Christianity EtcRe: Who Will Interpret My Dreams? by DeepZone(op): 12:35am On Sep 23, 2008
Dont quote me, this is my personal conviction. I believe if you backslide you have to accept Christ again.
Can you define backsliding for me because in my books, I think it's any christian that have sinned against once. If I apply your rule, that means we should be giving our life to Christ every 5 minutes because that's the avg time we sin against God each day.

Christianity EtcRe: Who Will Interpret My Dreams? by DeepZone(op): 12:31am On Sep 23, 2008
Once saved is not forever saved. You have to daily renew your mind. Apostle Paul made that abundantly clear.
Do I need to accept Jesus as my personal savior multiple times because our pastor said you can only do it once although you may be a backslider that wants to commend your life to God once again.
Christianity EtcRe: Who Will Interpret My Dreams? by DeepZone(op): 12:23am On Sep 23, 2008
Well you can start from today . . . rebuke the dreams in prayer and believe God has answered you. But first you must realise He wont be listening to the unsaved so you have to make sure that's taken care of.
Na today? I accepted Jesus Christ long time ago.
Christianity EtcRe: Who Will Interpret My Dreams? by DeepZone(op): 12:18am On Sep 23, 2008
sure you can just pray with sincerity.

There are times I choose to fast and prayer (a personal decision)
Do you normally get extra blessings from God for mortifying yourself?
Christianity EtcRe: Who Will Interpret My Dreams? by DeepZone(op): 12:13am On Sep 23, 2008
@DZ

Like I said before Your spirit needs to be strengthened especially by fasting and prayer
Do I have to fast in order for God to help me out of this misery? God didn't put fasting as one of the conditions for helping His children in the times of distress.
