The bible gave us Joseph's dreams for a specific purpose . . . he wasnt just seeing snakes chasing him around or eating fish and chips. But I do have no business with the devil either. Somebody told me that some people are trying to get me down with juju but as far as am concerned, I'm not owing anybody. How do you know the dreams that come from God? |
I heard Sitanda is a very good movie. Do any of you know where I can view it online? |

I've been having weird dreams lately. Dreams of death of my boyfriend in a ghastly auto crash, widowhood, dreams about my father bitten by a cobra, my mother dying from a heart attack and last night it was me committing suicide. The irony of it is that I was thinking about suicide earlier yesterday and what push people into it and whether God will truly punish people for taking their own lives. I'm a bit worried that something bad may happen to me or around me. Can someone lend an insight on some possible interpretation besides mine puleeze? |
If you are invited and you can make it, then go, rejoice with those that are rejoicing, and then acknowledge and receive every nourishment/food/meat given with thanks to YOUR own God.You saying that you'll attend a ceremony in honour of Ifa but you'll mind your own God during routine veneration to the shrine, abi? We might as well allow everybody to interpret the bible according he/she wishes? The bible is quite ambivalent on this matter, and in the interest of avoiding poisonous rancor, let every Christian refrain from imposing his/her interpretation on others. |
i don't like her looks. .Are you saying that you will totally write her off if she is Hausa or Ibo? This goes to show that ethnicity affects our judgment a lot here. |
Cabinet reshuffle: Yar’Adua shops for technocrats By Olusola Fabiyi, Abuja Facts emerged on Friday as to why President Umaru Yar’Adua has been delaying the much-expected cabinet reshuffle. A source in the Presidency told our correspondent that Yar’Adua was shopping for seasoned technocrats to take up positions in his cabinet, which has been described as lacklustre. It was gathered that the President had manadated his kitchen cabinet and some associates outside government to submit the names of credible technocrats and administrators who could help in charting a new direction for the government. The source, who spoke to our correspondent on anonymity, said, “The President wants to take professionals in the areas of the economy, power and engineering. The task for them is to make sure that the economy, which seems to be grounded is giving a new boost. He wants his government to have an identity; he wants a focus; he wants people who can deliver on his seven-point agenda. That is why he wants professionals who are going to be mixed up with politicians. You should, therefore, not be surprised if notable Nigerians who have made their marks in their chosen fields are appointed to man key ministries.” The source said that although the President had compiled a list of the ministers that would constitute the new cabinet, he could yet replace them with some of the technocrats expected to join the cabinet. The source said the President was equally awaiting the submission of the reports of the technical committee set up to harmonise the unbundling of ministries. The unbundling of the ministries has increased their number from 20 to 28. The technical committee, which was set up on September 11 by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Alhaji Yayale Ahmed, is headed by the Permanent Secretary, General Service Office in the SGF’office, Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed. The six-member committee, which a director in the Office of the Head of Service, Dr. Yahaya Abdullahi, will serve as secretary is saddled with the responsibility of “determining the implication of the restructuring of existing parastatals under the supervision of each ministry and to suggest any other change or initiative that would give each ministry the required coherence and capacity in attaining the objectives of its mandate.” The committee is also expected to determine the corporate mandate of each ministry and the cost-effective structure that will deliver the mandate in line with the seven-point agenda of the President. The source said, “You can see that the President has to wait until this committee finishes its work and submits to the SGF, who will in turn brief the President. That means that the present crop of ministers is likely going to remain until Wednesday next week when they are to attend the Federal Executive Council for the last time before the dissolution. “By that time, the committee would have finished its work and the President would have been able to identity those technocrats who are going to work with him; because he is going to be judged by the performance of the ministers at the end of the day.” The source said that of particular interest to the President was the person to man the newly created Ministry of Niger Delta. He said the President was taking his time and had held consultations with Vice-President Goodluck Jonathan on the best person for the job. He said Yar’Adua was being careful to avoid sparking off another controversy, which might affect the idea behind its creation. He said, “You know that it was the same controversy that trailed the announcement of the aborted submit on the Niger Delta. Now, the President wants to consult widely to avoid taking a decision that he will rescind shortly after announcing the minister fin charge of the ministry.” Saturday Punch could not confirm how many ministers would be dropped but another Presidency source said they might be 10. http://odili.net/news/source/2008/sep/20/415.html |
Crashed plane: FG takes Black Box to UK By Chinedu Eze, 09.22.2008 Monday, September 22, 2008 The Federal Government through the Accident and Investigation Bureau (AIB) is set to take the Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) also known as the black box recovered from the crashed Beechcraft 1900D to the Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) in the United Kingdom (UK) for decoding. The AAIB is expected to interpret the communication between the pilot of the ill-fated aircraft owned by Wings Aviation, which crashed on March 15, 2008 on its way to Bebi Airstrip, Cross River State from Lagos. Speaking to newsmen at the Murtala Mohammed Interna-tional Airport, Lagos, yesterday, Mr. Emmanual Diala, who led the team that went to the crash site to retrieve the black box, said the Bureau had kicked off extensive activities to uncover what was responsible for the air mishap. On the outcome of the DNA test on the three crew members on board the crashed plane, he said the Bureau had taken samples of the bodies found at the site to South Africa, where the identities of the bodies could be confirmed. He said it was expedient that the black box was taken to Britain, where the modern instrument that would be used to decode it is available as Nigeria does not have adequate facilities to retrieve data from the black box. “We shall be taking the Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) to the United Kingdom for decoding. The result will help us find the probable cause of the accident,” he said. On whether the military had tampered with the black box after finding it and holding on to it for some time, Diala said the military had been cooperative, adding that they gave the black box to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) who gave it to them. As a sign that the black box had not been tampered with, he said the wire knotting on the black box was still intact. He further noted that if anything happened to the black box, which would make deciphering impossible, the gadget had the mechanism to indicate that. According to Diala, “The aircraft made its last call at 0805 UTC (coordinated universal time), but had earlier made a contact with Enugu control tower at 0804 UTC. At 0823 UTC, the radio operator at Bebi Airstrip called the aircraft to confirm its position but received no reply.” He added: “After making series of contacts, the operator triggered off search and rescue system. The Nigeria Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) came on the scene. Some helicopters were deployed even as many man hours were expended in the search for the missing aircraft.” As a preventive measure, Diala said: “AIB shall be issuing a safety alert very soon based on our preliminary investigation to promote safety and prevent further accident in the Bebi Airstrip in particular and the industry in general.” He said the final report of the investigation would be made public when it is ready, noting that, “the purpose of accident investigation is not to apportion blame, but to prevent further re-occurrence”. Local hunters from Busi village in Obanliku Local Government Area of Cross River State had August 30, found the wreckage of the aircraft and charred human remains of the crew members. The twin turbo prop 19-seater Aircraft with registration number 5N JAH disappeared with a three-member crew on a flight from Lagos to Bebi Airstrip, near the Obudu Ranch Resort in Obanliku Local Government Area of Cross River State. The crew members were the pilot, Captain Augustine Egbedi; the co-pilot, First Officer Mohammed and a marketing executive, Ms Fubarata Jack. http://odili.net/news/source/2008/sep/22/208.html |
Yar’Adua set to sack 30 ministers IHEANACHO NWOSU Barring last minute changes of mind, President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua ,will on Wednesday, announce the dissolution of his cabinet Daily Champion authoritatively gathered that the sack of the ministers and special advisers would be announced after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, Wednesday. It would be recalled that speculation about the planned cabinet reshuffle has been in the air since President Yar’Adua returned to the country from Saudi Arabia where he underwent a medical check. It was gathered more steam when the Secretary to the Government of the Federation(SGF) Amb. Babagana Kingibe, was surprisingly relieved of his appointment two weeks ago. However an authoritative presidency source told Daily Champion weekend that the President has concluded arrangements to announce the cabinet dissolution. "Without mincing word I can tell you that this cabinet will cease to be from Wednesday this week", he said. It was learnt that the dissolution would have taken place last week but was later shelved as a result of the sending of some ministers to represent he(Ya’Adua) at United Nation Assembly. The President was earlier billed to attend the high profile event but changed his mind at the last minute . Instead he directed the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Michael Aondoaaka and his Foreign Affairs counterpart, Chief Ojo Maduekwe to represented him . Asked to give details of the shape the reshuffle would take the source explained that only nine of the 40 ministers are likely to be retained . He did not name the ministers that may be given a boot. He however disclosed that the President was worried by the worsening state of the economy saying it would not be surprising if a new set of ministers are appointed for the Ministry of Finance. According to him the seeming power play between Dr Shamsudeen Usman and Remi Babalola, minister of finance and minister of state for finance is believed in the presidency to be working against the economy. "The thinking in the presidency is that the bickering and power play between Usman and Babalola have held down government’s drive to grow the economy to an appreciable level. It is possible that the President may drop one or both of them", the source said. He said the President is eager to change the growing perception in the country that his administration is not doing much to address major problems plaguing the country . "I can tell you that the President feels sad when people accuse him of not being able to commission a project since coming into office. He wants to bring in people who can deliver especially on the power issue. "He is going to make sweeping changes and the new men will not be politicians."he said adding, "he will go for technocrats this time around. Although he still needs to work with politicians he will find another way of carrying many of them along in a manner that will not hurt his government" He admitted that the ministers are jittery and have been lobbying close friends of the President especially former governor of Delta state, Chief James Ibori to make a case for them. He said: "Yes,I can confirm that most of the ministers have been going to Ibori and all those they know are close to the President to help work for their retention .It is natural to things of that nature" http://odili.net/news/source/2008/sep/22/222.html |
Nigerians to buy Newcastle United for N96bn Monday, September 22, 2008 A consortium of wealthy Nigerians may soon take over English Premiership side, Newcastle United. Since the current owner of the club, Mike Ashley, announced his intention to sell, the Nigerians are trying to meet the £400m (about N96 billion). Chief Executive Officer of the NVA Management, Chris Nathaniel, whose company is handling the deal, told KickOffNigeria.com that Nigeria was favoured to make history as the first African country to own a Premier League club side if the deal sailed through. “All along I have been working hard to get wealthy and football-loving Nigerian entrepreneurs to buy the club since the owner Mike Ashley indicated his willingness to sell the club to the person, people or entrepreneurs that can meet the £400 million selling price of the club. “Right now I am happy to tell you that well-meaning Nigerians have responded and the consortium of Nigerian entrepreneurs has so far contributed £350 million to buy the club but the club boss, Ashley stood his ground that he won’t sell the club until the money is raised to the asking price of £400 million. “So what that means is that we need to raise another 50 or 100 million pounds to shut the door behind the other top Arab companies that are also interested in the club. The Arab companies have also indicated interest and made offer but they haven’t met the asking price too,” Nathaniel revealed. http://odili.net/news/source/2008/sep/22/601.html |

Actually you are right but knowing whom Olabowale is, he said it with utmost arrogance and such impunity that will send a wrong message to the outside world that non muslim women should be abhorred. You don't know him well, I do.Lmao he's a afanatic for not wanting to marry someone who isnt a fellow Muslim but you're not for ignoring a naming because of no show policy. Irony anyone? That's the same man that is asking me/us whether God worshipped jesus or Jesus worshipped God. If you ask similar questions about Islam now, they'll report you to the moderator. |
I believe in 2getherness.And so i wrote "supporting and succeeding in almost everything WE do.Just watching your back because men are no better than rattle snakes. |
I would love to be remembered as someone born with the heart of a champion.I create this picture by supporting and succeeding with him in almost everything we do.Why not set the pace so he can support and succeed with you? If women are smarter than men, we are expected to set the pace for men to follow. That's your challenge right there. |
haba what kind of topic is thisI thought you are a brave woman? Are you scared of death like this? Why do people find it difficult to discuss their own death even when they know it's inevitable? For God's sake, it could be tonite. |

Lol. Funny Girl. Stalking you. You wish.I don't need a husband. I am an independent woman. |
No intimacy with any woman, unless she is my wife, with full intention that she and me will grow old together. No pretense, please. My Lord knows my heart. I can't hide my intention from Him! Again, Islam does not allow a wife to be idolator. Thats exactly what a Hindu person is.You are a religious fanatic. Why won't you marry a girl because she is not a muslim? I don't think a sane girl will want to marry you as a 2nd or 3rd wife by the way. Stick to the wife you have now. |
Which one is Sallah? Are you not a Nigerian? |
Maybe because most people don't wnat people bringing in dirt into their homes with their shoes especially when they have babies/toddlers around? What does religion have to do with thatWhich rumour? which churches? Again, you may have given a plausible reason for me to consider taking off my shoes but that reason does not hold for a church. We all know why they do that anyway and let nobody tell me that Moses taking off his shoes bullshit story. |
I'd rather stay away from your home. Why should I remove my shoes in order to enter your home? There is no reason why Cele or Cher/Seraph should ask me to remove my shoes before entering their church apart from the fact that they meddle with voodoo, AKA juju. |
