Funmilola Lawrence Ogidan is a traditional doctor with a difference and without condemning western medical drugs, she has proffered herbal remedies as nature’s
safest cure for most human ailments.

In a chat with press men in Lagos on Monday, she explained that while synthetic medical
drugs almost always produce side effects in patients, herbal remedies have no side
effect.

“I have tried and tested both western and herbal medicines and I can tell you
categorically that God has provided us with every single herb we need for our good
health. The herbs that we have all around us will do us a whole lot of good work when
we treat them right. Herbal medicines perform healing miracles in us.

“We haven’t reached that stage where western medicine would be totally replaced by
herbal remedies for all ailments. Having alternatives helps us all. I believe that most
western medicines originate from our own local herbs but with a lot of synthetic
processes that deplete nature and produce side effects” Lawrence-Ogidan said.

Lawrence-Ogidan is a traditional doctor (TDR). Arguably, she has the largest health
farm and NAFDAC-certified factory for the production of herbal remedies in Southwest
Nigeria. She is a well-travelled tour operator, special education and entrepreneurship
graduate and an indigene of Ile-Ife, Osun State.

She is the CEO of Global New Herbal Life (GNHL); a certified member of both the
Nigeria Association of Medical Herbalists and National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners.

Her passion for herbal remedies grew when she had to heal her protracted barreness
with herbs after western medical methods had failed her.

“I had serious hormonal disorder that stopped me from getting pregnant for many
years. I did IVF severally. I was given different injections daily, but the minute I started
using my own herbs, everything started going back to normal. To the glory of God, I
had my own baby. It was normal delivery even at that age. There were no issues or

Imagine you are a young bride not yet twenty years old. Your husband is in the elite SAS. He is away fighting. How you miss him.

How you pray for him to be safe. Your father is in same that regiment. You are praying for him too.

You are very devout. You love and worship your God with all your heart, your mind and your strength.

You are high born; your grandfather is the King’s Counsellor. That’s why your house is so close to the Palace. You feel lonely but hopefully the war will soon be over and the two men you love will be back home safe and sound.



You have just finished your monthly cycle so in obedience to the law given through Moses* you have taken your ritual cleansing bath. It’s late and you prepare to settle down for the night. Suddenly a frantic banging on the gate of your compound shatters the peace. Your heart beats faster. You send your security man to discover what is happening. He comes back with an astonishing message,

“The King wants to see you NOW!”



The King! Surely he is in Rabbah fighting with his men. You had no idea he was in Jerusalem. It must be bad news – is it your father? Is it your husband? What has happened? You dress hurriedly and the King’s bodyguards accompany you to the King’s private chambers………



You may have guessed by now that we are talking about Bathsheba, she who was stunningly beautiful both inside and out. Her husband was Uriah. Her father Eliab and her grandfather Ahithophel, confident and counselor to King David.



What is so shocking about this rape is that King David was revered and admired by all Israel as a ‘man after God’s own heart;’ the hero of heroes, giant killer, the man who danced before the ark, the man who worshipped God continually, the one anointed and set apart by the prophet Samuel. At this time David was at least twenty-five years older than Bathsheba. He had many wives and nineteen sons.



After the King has satisfied himself you are sent away like a common woman. You are distraught, defiled, betrayed, humiliated and confused. This is the worst day of your young life; your beauty prostituted.


Can you begin to image her distress?



It gets worse. Next month you miss your period. This is really worrying but hopefully it will come next time. You are sick and nauseous. This is a disaster. The penalty for adultery is death by stoning. You were innocent but who will believe you? How can you face Uriah, your father and your grandfather?

Everyone will believe that somehow you seduced the king. No one will believe that godly King David could fall so badly unless you had somehow tricked him.



You have no one to confide in. You are in shock. So many emotions bombard you as you run and rerun an action replay of the event.



You send a message to the king. “I am with child.”



He does not reply. Sometime later you hear that Uriah has been recalled from the battlefield and has been summoned to see the King. You are faint with relief. Now Uriah will come to you and you can relate the whole sordid story. Will Uriah believe you? All the troops held King David in high honour.

He had at least nineteen wives and many concubines why would he need someone else’s wife?



You wait all day for Uriah to come but he does not appear. This is dreadful. The king must have told him the truth and maybe your husband never wants to see you again. You do not sleep that night.

Another day! Perhaps he will come today. All day long, sick with anxiety you wait. He does not come.


Then you hear he has been sent back to the battlefield. You are desolate. To whom can you turn?

Agonizing days later the news comes that your beloved husband has been killed in battle. You are allowed seven days to mourn before the king’s bodyguards come to take you into the Palace.

You are to become the King’s twentieth wife.

It’s an amazing tale of loss and devastation but it ends with outstanding rewards from God. It is a story that can inspire each one of us to never give up on our identity; to fight back and, like Job come through with a double blessing.

"From an accountant to a businesswoman, I had worked with some companies and I just took that decision so I would be able to take care of my family and have time for them, because when I worked I didn't have the time. I come home exhausted and I really dont have much time to take care of my husband but this business allows me to open when I want to since my business is on my phone, I can be at a point, do my supply, go home and rest when I want to. I have time for myself, to run things for my husband. But when I'm at the office, I dont have such time, business for me gives me time to run my family."

Juliet's idea of being successful involves just being fulfilled, and she paints a picture of someone going somewhere, although not yet there but working towards the peak you want to be. Different from just staying somewhere and expecting manna to fall from heaven. Her idea of success means having to climb the ladder and paying the price, not just staying in one place.

Discussing her relationship with God and biggest testimony of her life, she narrates her regular day at work and service in the house of God where she serves alongside Simi's mother

"Because people will frustrate you with, I don't want to sit here, this is where I must sit. I sit in front in my house, i have to sit there, you don't tell me where to sit. But with smiles, you have to make them understand that if everybody sits the way they want, there won't be orderliness in the house of God and everywhere will be chaos. In 1842 Thomas Babington Macauly wrote my favourite poem titled 'Horatius at the Gate' and made a point that we can all learn from in Nigeria today. He wrote:

Macauly's prose is beautiful and instructive. It is very long and I have just quoted a tiny portion of it above.

We, as Nigerians, must read his words carefully, learn from brave Horatius, the greatest of all Romans, and be inspired and guided by his courage and strength.

We must be proud of who and what we are and we must be ready to stand for something, even at the cost of our lives.

Some, who I love and respect, have said they have seen what is coming to our country and that we must have a plan B.

I have seen what is coming to our country as well and I have been saying so for the last few months and years. However for me there is NO plan B.

We may evacuate our women and children but for those of us that are men I say again there is and can be NO plan B.

There is no running. There is no surrender. There is no capitulation. There is no escape. We have no other country. We have nowhere to go and even if we did we choose not to go.

When and if the battle finally comes we stay here and either FIGHT and WIN or FIGHT and DIE. We are Nigerians! We are lions! We do not run from the battle. We do not buckle before the enemy. We are not cowards. We are warriors. We are fighters.

We are men and women of strength and faith. We do not flinch in the face of danger. We do not run for our lives when the enemy is at our gate. We go out and meet them head on in glory and in power.

Boko Haram or any other terrorist organisation will NEVER fly its flag over Abuja and neither will they ever take Lagos, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Kaduna, Jos, Ibadan, Sokoto, Awka, Maiduguri or any of our other major cities.

Every Christian will fight them. Every Muslim will fight them. Every Southerner will fight them. Every Northerner will fight them. Every Middle Belter will fight them. Every Nigerian will fight them.

They think they are dividing us but they are actually bringing us closer together. We are not Malians, Chadians, Nigeriens, Taurags, Berbers or Arabs: we are NIGERIANS! And we will stand and fight for our motherland against these strange aliens and foreign invaders and their western backers.

Our God is mighty and He will NEVER abandon us. We will fight to the last man to preserve our nation and deliver her from the hands of these foreign barbarians that have come from a distant land to destroy us all and take our women, children, treasure and land.

Like great Horatius, we must stand at the gate and hold the bridge. Like gallant Horatius, we must fight and win or we must fight and die!

May God have mercy on our nation and our people and may He cause us to fight a good fight!

Let me conclude with this. Some are saying that the fight is and must be between ourselves and not between us and those foreigners from outside our shores that have invaded our land. How wrong they are.

Some of us are planning on how to kill our brothers and compatriots whilst the stranger from a distant land that hates us all is hiding in the forests, mountains and plains of our country and is preparing to slaughter us all to the last man, woman and child. This is short-sighted and absurd.

There is no doubt that are major differences between us as a people which still need to be resolved. That battle still needs to be fought and that mountain still needs to be removed. I, more more than anyone else, is aware of this and have spoken about these differences, injustices and inequalities over the last five years.

And be rest assured that that mountain will be removed, that valley will be levelled, that fight will be fought and that injustice will be set aside but NOT today.

Today, we MUST come together as one to face down and fight the foreign foe and their relentless sponsors in the international community who have come to wipe us all off the face of the earth, turn our nation into a cauldron of fire and turn our women and children into chattel and slaves.

They say they will use planes and chemical weapons to exterterminate us. They say they will bomb us from the air and crush us from the land and sea. They say they have all the wealth, weapons, power and strength that satan has given them and they are baying for our blood.

They may indeed have all that but they do NOT have Almighty God who is just and merciful and perfect in all His ways.

They do not have God the Great or the Living God who is mighty in battle and who cannot be resisted. They do not have the Ancient of Days or the Lord of Hosts who created and controls the universe.

They do not have the Elohim or the El Shaddai who forges the destiny of nations, who wields all power in heaven and on earth and who rules in the affairs of men.

They do not have the Adonai or the Lion of the Tribe of Judah who created the sun, the moon and stars and who established the firmament before the creation of time.

They do not have the Man of War or the God of Abraham, Isaac, David and Jacob who is with us and who is our strong defender.



It is in His name and by His power that I rally and call on the sons of the East, the sons of the West, the sons of the Niger Delta, the sons of the Middle Belt and the sons of the North to muster your strength, to stir up your courage, to steel your nerve, to stand firm on the ramparts and to come together as one in your power and glory to defend our land and our nation and to uproot and usurp the barbarians that are at our gate.

This is the challenge of our time and we shall meet it head on. There is NO plan B! We stand and we fight and win or we stand and we fight and die!

Glory, honor and praise be unto the name of our God who has given us this great opportunity and herculean task to defend the honor of our nation and our people and bring them to a safer place.

We will never make peace with a savage and barbaric alien breed that feed fat on carnage and terror and that are committed to the mass murder, ethnic cleansing and genocide of our people and neither shall we bend the knee or bow, tremble and flee before them.

Victory is ours because our cause is righteous, our people are noble, our warriors are strong and our God is faithful!

What is Stewardship?

Stewardship is defined as conducting, supervising, or managing of something especially the careful and responsibility management of something enthrusted to one's care.

A biblical world view of stewardship can be consciously defined as: "Utilizing and managing all resources God provides for the glory of God and the betterment of His creation."
[2] The central essence of biblical world view of Stewardship is managing everything God brings into the believer's life in a manner that honours God and impacts eternity.

Stewardship begins and ends with the understanding of God's ownership of all:
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." (Revelation 22:13)
"The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it." (Psalm 24:1)
"To the Lord your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it." (Deuteronomy 10:14)
"The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is mine and you are but aliens and my tenants." (Leviticus 25:23)
"Who has a claim against me that I must pay? Everything under heaven belongs to me." (Job 41:11)

Stewardship is further supported and sustained theologically on the understanding of God's holiness as found in such verse as: Genesis 1:2, Psalm 104, Psalm 113, 1 Chronicles 29:10-20, Colossians 1:16, Rev. 1:8.

Who is a steward?

1. A person employed _to look after_ the passenger on a ship, aircraft or train.
2. An official appointed to _supervise_ arrangements or keep order at a large public event, for example a race, match, or demonstration.
3. A person employed to _manage another's_ property, especially large house or estate.
3. A steward is a person who manages another's property or financial affairs; an agent of another, a person who has charge of the household of another, buying or obtaining food, _directing_ the servants.

A good steward is accountable without prompting or prodding. A good steward believe in sustainability. They understand that they are building value not for themselves but for others.

This year’s edition of the annual Oxford Africa Conference (OAC) hosted by the Oxford University Africa Society, is scheduled for May 28th - 30th 2021. In a statement released by Chibugo (Chi) Okafor, an MBA candidate at the Oxford University who is also a co-chair of this year’s conference states that this yearly intellectual gathering which brings together former and serving heads of state, policy makers, business leaders, seasoned academics, opinion leaders, artists, students and distinguished professionals of African descent.

In his words, Daniel Ogoloma, a student at Oxford University and the Communications Manager for the Oxford Africa conference, captured the whole essence and mission of the conference succinctly, “Our aim is to use this conference as a platform to uplift, mobilise and propel Africans in the diaspora and on the continent. Bearing in mind today's world's, ongoing national unrest and global decay, Reverend Kayode Olufemi Bajomo of New Covenant Church- Iju Center, concludes his insightful Pathfinder Bible Study series with a prayer session for the abducted students of Greenfield University, which was led by Pastor Oluyemisi Bajomo.

Recognizing the advancements of space technology down to the Hubble Telescope which can see above the earth's atmosphere, Reverend Bajomo describes how Jesus Christ can see clearly above the earth, above limitations.

"The best of all gifts is the one you give to the least, which is among reasons Jesus considers us brothers and joint heirs, even being the rightful owner of the throne.

"Everything we do to brothers and sisters of Jesus, we do to God,- remembering Paul who persecuted and imprisoned Christians. Our lives should be a platform for the display and expression of God's goodness, as we live our lives with the end in view".

Summary is there's a starting point and ending point- Reward or Retribution on the basis of the works of our hands because post salvation, we do the works of Christ.

Grace sustains our expectations and provisions, and the reward is access to the tree of life. Other benefits are inheriting the kingdom, inheriting eternal life, partake of the feast at the end and crowns waiting for us.

According to Reverend Kayode Bajomo, Our Eternal Existence Timeline consists of 6 events

1. Life: created in the image of God for a life of purpose with identity and responsibility. Genesis. 1vs28: 1Thess: 5vs23

2. Death: Everyone dies physically but not spiritually because our soul and spirit continues to exist beyond. Heb. 9vs27

3. Destination: After death, we are either in heaven or hell. John. 3vs18.

4. Resurrection: John. 5vs28-29.
Everyone receives a resurrected immortal body, mortality will put on immortality. 1Cor. 15vs50-58: Philipians. 3vs20-21.

5. Repayment/ Reward: which is based on what we did on earth, everyone's work will be judged by Christ and our walk will determine the degree of Reward in Heaven or Retribution in hell. John. 5vs22: Matt. 23vs14: Rev. 20vs11-15: 2Cor. 5vs10.

6. Eternity: Live forever in the presence or absence of God. Eternity is a real life in a real place where you'll experience the consequences of your beliefs and actions while on earth. Matt. 25vs46: John. 14vs1-3.

What people consider the end is actually the beginning of another journey

Making the most of our promised land
Deut 11vs12-15, 22-28:
Verse 12 talks about God's promise and verse 13 talks about the condition.

The Promised land is governed by rules, hence its not a lawless kingdom, so how well you keep that law determines how much you enjoy the land.

Its based on obedience, seek instructions to obey, wise people always look for instructions to comply with while most people attempt to use prayers to cover their disobedience.

Access to that promised land doesn't grant automatic enjoyment.

The extent of our obedience determines the extent of our blessings. We are at our best when we obey God

How to serve in Obedience
1. Fullness of joy
2. Willful heart

4. Full obedience- half obedience is full disobedience that leads to rebellion.

6. Obedience must be tireless.

Note: Both obedience and disobedience have spiritual roots. Eph 2v2.
Disobedience analyzes, rationalizes until it leads to paralysis. Ezekiel 36vs26.

What is Faith

Hebrews 11vs1.

Faith is always now, I am feasting on the glory of God and God's Word is true whether we believe it or not. It has always been and it always will be.
James. 2vs15.

What is Faith?
Faith is a spiritual force, powerful unseen force used by the almighty God. Faith is generated by the Word of God and hearing by the Covenant of God.

God is the biggest loser, in the sense that He lost His man, woman that he created, and lost His only Son.

The blessings of Abraham came by Faith in covenant, he believed God.
How do you give glory to God? By being strong in faith, strong at all times- good times, bad ones, strong times and weak ones.

Certain Fundamental Rules Governing Faith
Faith being an absolute force has laws that govern it, take for instance; laws that govern electricity are definite laws but the same electricity that provides power to sound system to over 50,000 people will also kill, there my friend is a blessing and a curse. Faith comes from the spirit. There is a rule of the spirit, for God who is a spirit created all natural things.

Mark. 5vs26-34.
This story shows how easy Jesus is to serve and receive from. The woman knew and was sure of where the annointing is- She said it, believed it and felt it. Most people dont know Jesus is a preacher; Thy faith has made thee whole. Let's give Him praise.

Corresponding actions as she did it shows she received it in her heart before she felt it.
You have to see yourself with it, stop seeing yourself poor or sick in your mind and you'll receive it.
The absolute prescription for healing and anything is in Proverbs. 4vs20. Which is God's Word. His medicine to all flesh, take it 3 times daily and if the need be, double the dose, double up on Bible readings, scriptural messages, good preachings everyday on the Word of God.
I choose life, I choose God, thank you Jesus, glory be to God.
