**NEW COVENANT CHURCH , IJU CENTRE* *BIBLE STUDY OUTLINE (MARCH/APRIL 2020)** *TOPIC: THE SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY* *TEXT:* Psalm 91:1-16;Matthew 23:37;Colossians 3:3 ;Genesis 15:1;Psalm 28:7;Psalm 84:11; Jeremiah 36:26; Deuteronomy 32:11;Psalm 17:8;36:7; 57:1;61:4;63:7;Job 1:9–10. *INTRODUCTION* : Resting within the protection of God’s glory, we find peace from the burdens of the world.Dwelling within God’s shelter means that I trust Him even when the oddsmakers say I shouldn’t. It means that I choose Him over the achievements I can make on my own. It means that my life is not my own. I am bought with a price, the shed blood of Jesus, and that my home is in Heaven, where awaits for me an eternal blessing, which far outweighs the problems of this world. The Omnipotent Lord will shield all those who dwell with him, they shall remain under his care as guests under the protection of their host. The shadow of the Almighty brings to mind how a mother bird would cast her wings over her young to provide shade and protection. *Shadow:* A masculine noun meaning a shade, a shadow. This word is frequently used as a symbol for protection or refuge. Shadows by definition are a place of protection or covering, they provide relief from the direct heat of the sun. If the heat is severe, the shade is the place we run to. It diminishes what we actually feel in the intensity of the heat. The shadow of the Almighty provides security and provision unmatched by anything this world has to offer. *#DWELL IN THE SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH* Psalm 91:1;26:8;84:1-12;96:1-10;Isaiah 56:7;57:15;1 Kings 8:12;James 4:6;Hebrews 4:16. The word “dwell” used in this verse actually means, “to take up permanent residence in.” The word “dwells” came from the Hebrew word yashab, which means to “sit down, settle, remain, and inhabit.” He reminds us to stay in His presence, for it’s a permanent place of living. His Word says if we do that, we will “rest” in the very "shadow of the Almighty." Let the atmosphere around you be the atmosphere of His presence, righteousness and holiness. Dwelling in God’s presence is a conscious choice. It is something that we decide to do, not out of necessity or grudge, but out of a willing heart.Dwelling in the secret place of the Most High means that we constantly seek His love, comfort, and protection. God will protect those who want to know Him better and on a deeper level. *CONCLUSION* : We must seek to dwell. 1.In God’s Will (God’s good, acceptable & perfect will. Rom 12:1-2) 2.In God’s Presence (Thanksgiving & worship. Psalm 95:2) 3.In God’s Word / Truth.John 15:7;Psalm 91:4;John 8:31 4.In God’s House Psalm 23:6; 84:10

I met my first love when I was 12 years old but nothing happened till I turned 15 and it was the most unusual love story, starring a crafty juvenile smooth enough to steal the heart of the softest bulb around the block and one which despite initial external interference at the onset (stemming from ethnic differences), like the family meeting where her favorite uncles kicked against their golden niece and a "Yoruba chewing gum boy" using their dialect to protest against the continuation of the meeting as long as I was around forcing my Bubu to sweetly suggest we stray to our favorite gist spot under a tall fruitful coconut tree on a lonely field where occasional passersby usually complimented us, eventually both families let us have our way, expecting Life to take its course. Myself and Bubu were opposites in so many qualities down to skin color and temperament which sometimes strained our relationship, I remember unleashing beast mode on 2 street boys who Bubu safety and it was eventually Bubu's soft qualities that redeemed the day- qualities which encouraged everyone to try but everyone knew she was mine so we continued to shine until destiny decided it's time Read complete story on www.Xplus.com.ng And don't forget to share your glued connection story also https://tateelawrell./2020/03/25/do-i-really-wanna-hit-my-first-love/

Finding Hope and Love Again via www.xplus.com.ng When those you choose to love deeply reject you, leave you, or die, your heart will be broken. But that should not hold you back from loving again. The pain that comes from deep love makes life ever more fruitful hence to stop loving isn't really an option and that forces the question "how do we get beyond the inevitable pain associated with selfless loving?" Here are 7 effective tips collected from relationship experts and conversations with friends on how they patched up their heart and tried, ever so gradually, to move on. 7. Go through the process, not around it. You have to grieve in order to move on. Arguably the most difficult task for someone with a broken heart is to stand still and feel the crack but that is exactly the best thing to do because there is really no shortcut without its share of obstructions. With time, the pain begins to lose its stronghold. 6. Detach and revel in your independence again. Filling the void yourself — without rushing to a new relationship or trying desperately to win your lover back — is essentially what detaching is all about. Buddha taught that attachment that leads to suffering. Which is why when moving on, the first and most direct path to happiness and peace is detachment 5. Highlight your strengths by noting past accomplishments (mentally or written) And then transforming it to work out your grief— by running, swimming, exercising, walking, or kick-boxing — is going to give you immediate relief. On a physiological level — because exercise stimulates the brain but also on an emotional level, you are taking charge and becoming the master of your mind and body. Plus you can visualize the fellow responsible for your pain and kick their faces. Priceless. 4. Allow some fantasizing. Grief wouldn’t be following its natural process if there's no yearning for the lost love. Basically, if you are trying to banish a (esp. sexual) fantasy from your head by telling yourself “I’m not going to fantasize (or think of being intimate )" might make it worse… In a famous psychological study, a group of subjects were told to think about anything but whatever they did, they were not supposed to think about a white bear. Guess what they all thought about? (A white bear.). You Get! 3. Help someone else and Create a new world When in pain, the recommended antidote is to box up the feelings, sort them, then try to find a use for them because when you turn your attention to another person — especially someone who is struggling with the same kind of pain — you most likely forget about yourself for moments. And let’s face it, on some days, that feels like a miracle. Creating a new world is important especially if both lovers' world has collided (mainly mutual friends). Make new friends who can’t even spell their names and take this opportunity to try something new — trainings, art, a new book, blog and expect a fresh beginning… without him (or her). 2. Laugh. And cry. Laughter heals on many levels just as much as crying does. Most don't think it’s a simple coincidence that you always feel better after a good cry. There are probably tons of physiological and pyschological reasons that contribute to the healing power mix of laughter and tears. 1. Find hope & Love Again on www.Xplus.com.ng There is one emotion that is stronger than fear, and that is forgiveness. But forgiveness requires hope: believing that a better place exists, that the aching emptiness experienced in your every activity won’t be with you forever, that one day you’ll be excited to get up in the morning or go to movie with friends. Hope is believing that the looming sadness will evaporate, therefore in order to forgive and move past fear, you need to find hope. And remember to love again… Usually after our hearts are bruised and burned from a relationship that ended, we have two options: we can close off pieces of our heart so that one day no one will be able to get inside. Or we can love again. www.Xplus.com.ng offers the Hope & Love. Make that Glued Connection Today.
