It was expressely stated that only 8 humans got into the ark, each man with his wife, Noah inclussive. No where was it stated that Noah's first wife died, nowhere was it stated that shem, Ham and Japhet had separate mothers. Who called your mother a liar? Ok since you want to use that analogy let me put it in a better form. If my mother hadhad deceived me all my life and has used the deception to disposses me of my valuable, would it be wrong for me to call my mother a liar and a theif. That dude talked about the sun and the light. In the Bible, the sun is not the light. In fact in Revelation, the Bible tells us that there is no need for the sun in HEAVEN because GOD is the light. The sun was not created to be the source of light to the world...it was to separate seasons...

With that said, where is the contradiction when the Bible say GOD created light before the sun?

Another lame one is the claim that the Bible is not consistent on when Man and plants were created in relation to the order of creation. The creation was completed in Genesis 1. Genesis 2 gave details of creation. What Genesis 2:19 is saying is that GOD brought everything HE had created to man to name. Which part is contradictory?

With reference to the bolded. At what point did the sun become the main source of light? Agree revelation says the sun is may not be the light of the new heaven and earth but where on earth do you get the notion that the sun was not the light of the world. How do you explain Matthew quoting Isaiah in relation to Jesus' conception when the event/text matthew was quoting already happened during Isaiah's day? ow come their are no written accounts about Jesus apart from the bible? Yes you may say Josephus made reference but the touted reference have been discovered to be a forgery. Do you the earliest accounts of Jesus' birth, life and death were written at least 37 years after his purported ascession. Now tell me if you were asked to write a story about someone met 20 years ago, how accurate will your account be? how do you account for the disparity of Jesus' geneology in matthew and luke?
If we move a little to the old testament, how come a loving God is so blood thirsty. He seem to take so much delight in killings for the flimsiest excuse as little as being rude to your parents. If a man does the smallest work on Sabbath he is to be put to death. How do you reconcile an egocentric God and a loving God. According to your bible it was because God felt like demonstrating his super powers, he delibrately hardened Pharaoh's heart to not let the Israelites go. He even went ahead to kill all the fisrt borns in Egypt despite being instrumental to Pharaoh not letting them go at first call. Still not satisfied with thousands and thousands of dead children he went ahead to drown all the soldiers of egypt. what a loving God.
But wait, did those things really happen? There is no single record, archealogical or chrono logical. Even the personage of Solomon and his father, David, are in contention now.
Please pull the veil of religion and theism from your eyes and carry out objective research on this subject. I thot TB Josh lives in Nigeria where corrution is at all time high, cant his God deal with corruption and other obvious problems bedeviling Nigeria. there is really no need for any boring scientific postulations. Just look arround you and tell me if prayers really do work. On a daily we are innundated by instruction from our pastors, Imams etc to pray for Nigeria and her leaders. We have been doing this year-in-year-out but have you seen any changes? Successive govts steal more than the incumbent and we are plunged further into the abyss of poverty and lack in the midst of plenty. The security situation is worse now than ever before yet we are praying for the nation.
Maybe there is a God somewhere (The existence or non existence of whom I do not have a proof of) but I doubt if that God exists in the form and with the features and characteristics we have ascribed to HIM/HER/IT

It is funny how as a brother put it, basic human nature to assume that because we don't believe or believe a thing that it makes it true. If someone doesn't believe in the law of gravity as was posted earlier on this thread, they may even argue that they have evidence to back up their fantasy but that does not change the fact that gravity exists whether they like it or not. The truth is that God not only exists but is knowable to those who will truly seek Him. We have the testimony of the Scriptures as well as the testimony of a multitude of Christians who has this experiential faith and know the Lord personally not just intellectually. Those who like to call themselves atheists would be more truthful if they just come out and declare that they don't want to know God instead of saying that God is not knowable or that He does not exist.

Gravity and other known natural phenomenon are testable and verifiable, God on the other hand is not. If God is knowable how come thousands of religions individually claim exclusive right to Him/Her/it while believing that other religios practitioners will burn in Hell? Atheists come from a background of genuine quest for God but were dissapointed by what they found. Nothing! They searched with all their hearts but God was nowhere to be found. You may not want to admit it here but somewhere in your heart you belive Moslems will go to hell and moslems believe same for you. So what if you die nd realise the God you served all your life was not the true God nd vice versa for moslems? What kind of a knowable God will permit such descripancies. An unknowable God and non existent God!
You may also want to claim God was not searched for long enough or that the search was not mixed with enough faith but how lond is long enough or how much faith is enough?

I wonder theists think atheists/agnosts came to their beliefs systems based on some scientific theories which they discovered in an attempt to disprove the existence of a God. To set the record straight, most atheists come from a theistic background (especialy in this part of the world). They came to discard the whole gamut of God theory, not becuase that was their primary intentions but because they genuinely wanted to know God on a personal level, wanting an intimate relationship with Him, wanting more of Him, wanting answers to difficult life questions but God in His/Her/its typical manner was nowhere to be found. Atheist have been brave enough not to scribe the product of their own thought process to one invissible and absent God. Some religious appologist would claim God did not aanswer your prayer because of XYZ and sometimes you may even accept this postulations but when you research the life of other people that are 'strong in faith' yet their lives shows no sign of help from God you cant help but discount the whole God theory. I aasked myself the question, 'what really is the value/purpose of God in the life of Man apart from the promise of eternal life which no one has any tangible proof of'? Believers and unbelivers alike surfer the same things, problems, losses, health issues.... etc and the outcomes depend oN individual actions and not some help from a skydaddy. Scientific proofs for the existence of God only corroborted what atheists/agnosts have already concluded in their minds. You do not need to know so many scientific theories to know that God cannot and has not healed an amputee or how many famous blind men haave you seen regained their sights through prayers? Maybe prayers work (which I seriously doubt) but if for the sake of argument we agree it works then if comparative study is conducted on the number of people healed thru prayer and the number of people cured thru medicine, to which side do think the balance would tip? .......

If someone told you something all your life and made you believe them even though he told you lies, immediately you realise the fraud wont you go all out to tell anyone that cares to listen that all the stories were fraud? Religion and all its appendages has told us lies and made us believe them lies using the fear factor.
