These aren’t entry-level roles.

They often require a minimum of three in-country residency and experience.

In the long run, they pass off.

Most of people don’t play the long term game. They’re just too interested in getting by with enough salaries to pay the basic bills.

Cheers mate!

Politics / Re: Tinubu: Without Me, Buhari Would Have Lost In 2015 by deleson: 11:26pm On Jun 02, 2022
Sign of a sinking ship.

Tinubu has been speaking from a place of hurt, self-deceit, pride and social unconsciousness.

He’s going nowhere. For the fact that he thinks he’ll or should be compensated with the office of the president because of his political sagacity.

Welcome to the end of your political career, dear Tinubu.
Family / Re: Can A Family Woman Ever Rest In This Life? by deleson: 11:17pm On Jun 02, 2022
Madam, have you had this conversation with your husband before coming online?

If you two have a decent conversation on this, I’m sure he’ll find a way to be of assistance to you at home.

He may not have seen the need, cos you’ve not spoken up or requested his help. He might also be acting base on cultural and age-long experiences of gender roles, which isn’t applicable in this age.

So my dear, have a heart-to-heart conversation with your husband on this, think and plan for long term.

Cook in bulk and freeze. Have eat-out days...Let the gas cooker and kitchen rest too. Do family hangouts and all. Live one day at a time. Focus on your family, leave extended family in the rear. Problem no dey finish, everybody go survive.

This is hilariously crazy.

I wouldn’t expect much from her, though.

She was only 17 ( minor) when she had him. Her reasoning faculty must have been damaged then, coupled with the decades of lonely suffering she experienced.

By the way, what did the husband, sorry son, say about the marriage?

Family / Re: Men; See This: "The Foundation Of Every Successful Marriage Is To Marry Virgins. by deleson: 6:53pm On Apr 02, 2022
All you’ve highlighted are simply symptoms.

There are deeper issues to be addressed.

The concept of marriage is grossly been abused globally because most people have a vague or warped idea of it.

Abuse is inevitable without knowing the intent and processes of a thing.

God, who instituted marriage, had a plan and procedure for marriage; Read, Genesis 2 and Ephesians 5.

From those preceding Biblical chapters, you’d understand that only people who have genuine encounter with God and totally submitted to Him can make a good marriage. (Not church-goers or mere believers).

You can’t take out God and His full instructions on marriage and expect a successful outing. It’s illogical, unrealistic and profane.

Take some time to think of the causes of unhappy and short-lived marriages: You’d realise that they’re all centered around selfishness; cheating (self-gratification), ego (overblown self-esteem), what else? Everything still has SELF in its expression.

Remember the golden rule? Yes, it kills self.

Walking with God for sterling result requires denying self and looking out for the good of God and his people. The husband does that to his wife and vice versa “even as Christ loves the Church”.

MrBrownJay1:

i highly doubt that... today much more marriages are crashing because A) people today no longer need/desire to suffer silently in marital bondage (like our forefathers did), B) because walking away is easy today as more women are independent and can take care of their own self, C) because divorced women can easily get their sexy nyansh back on the market and find another man to marry them... but most importantly D) because people no longer care about religion today, thus divorce is a not looked down upon and instead is viewed as a positive solution to a failed marriage.
Family / Re: Is Nigeria Now Becoming The Worst Place To Raise A Child? by deleson: 11:34am On Mar 29, 2022
OP, the answer you seek is in your post already.

It will take extra effort and grace to raise well-mannered children in this country.

We have replaced;

Values with vibes
Manners with money
Honesty with “smartness”
Respect with stupidity
Diligence with dorime
Patience with instant gratification
Family with fame
Training with tantrums.

We’re all a product of a family - either good or bad.

Raising Godly and Socially-Responsible FAMILIES is the key to solving the myriad of problems facing Nigeria.

harsysky:
This Question has given me sleepless nights. I literally wake in the middle of the night thinking of how decayed this country has become.

I still remember about 20 years ago when my dad would converse with his friends that the reason he wouldn't send us, his children, abroad was the fear of we becoming spoilt children. If he had seen the future, he definitely wouldn't have thought it twice.

I fear for my own children; i don't know about you, my fellow parents. The decadence is way too much and increases in geometric progression.

Parents don't be surprised when your teenage child comes home one day to tell you this: " Dad and Mum, both of you are useless. My 15 year old friends are driving benz, and you are here making me manage and go to school like it will bring me money. I will leave this house and join my friends, jare" or "my mates are having sex, and I want to start too"

That's weird, right? If you think it is not, why do you hear tales of a son using the mum or dad or sibling for ritual? Or kids take a video of themselves while having sex?

It isn't even a case of having just a poor parents now, even the wealthy ones are not spared. Infact, most children from wealthy homes are the ones corrupting the society. They have access to drugs; they turn young girls to prostitutes and so on.

Parents, how far? What's the way forward if we are to remain here, in Nigeria, to raise our children to be good. Doesn't it bring tears to your eyes when you go round to see what's happening? Go to tiktok, facebook, twitter etc Nigerian teens are taking it to the extreme. Is it that bad or am I exaggerating?

What's the way forward, good parents? How do we strategize to train these kids?

He holds no esteem for Nigerians and their option. He’s gotten what he wants: be the president, twice.

Nothing more for him politically, hence, the carefree nature.

This government isn’t interested in advancing systems and processes in the country.

Just a bunch of selfish, archaic, closed-minded individuals without a sense of responsibility.

The APC has the majority in the House Assembly, so why the back and forth? Can’t their caucus be definitive on what’s good for the country with speedy action?

If the house is also serious about this bill, they have the power to veto it if the President doesn’t assent after 30-days of transmission.

Nothing is working nor cheering about the country.

Career / Re: How Fast Can I Get A Job As A Data Scientist Or Software Developer by deleson: 11:14pm On Dec 24, 2021
Both skills are in high demand globally.

But your personal and professional proficiency will determine how fast you can get a role.

You should get a preview/overview of both fields to be sure of which interests you the most, then follow through on that.

Software development is more evolved than data sciences, which is still evolving.

Don’t be solely motivated by money and immediate offers, rather the long-term goals and your happiness to impact and be more in the industry.

It’s pathetically unfortunate this happened to Sylvester.

To resolve the back and forth on the cause of his death, autopsy should be conducted.

Autopsy will expose the cause of death, giving all parties the room to move on to other things.

But then, everyone needs to be more conscious of their family values and how they’re raising kids these days.

The family is the fundamental unit of the society. A crack in the family will result in a collapsed nation.

Flee sexual lust and youthful exuberance.

Discipline your thought, desire and actions.

Hi everyone,

I met this lady long time ago before I got married to my wife and we were in love back then. She refused me when I actually proposed to her and I moved on afterward but each time we were together, our love was quite evident in the air which became noticeable to people around us.

Eventually, I got married and we distant ourselves for the sake of both of us and then, we reduced our phone talks but we were still friends.

And now, each time we were opportune to talk on phone, the feelings keep coming back. It is irresistible! The day we eventually met, we almost make out but we got ourselves under control miraculously and we distant again for a while. The truth is I can't stop talking to her at least we don't even do that often as before.
What is wrong with me? i need help! What do I do?

Religion / Re: Satan Lied When He Claimed The Kingdoms Of The World Were His by deleson: 1:02pm On May 09, 2021
Good answer.

To expand the thought; the fall of man delegated all the original premium privileges of man to Satan.

Hence, the intervention of Jesus as the redeemer to reclaim the lost glory of man.

Only those who truly accept Jesus Christ can be bought and brought back into the core and primal kingdom of God, starting from this earth.

The major things man lost at the garden were PEACE and PROSPERITY (now and future) with himself and God. Those are the fundamental things we receive from at Salvation, coupled with other blessings.

Glory to God for the salvation of our souls.

petra1:

Yes he spoke the truth. God gave the earth to man and Adam delivered it to satan . . He is called the "god of this world " by Paul and the "prince of this world" by Jesus

2 Corinthians 4:4
Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

John 14:30
Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

What offering are you speaking of?

She was involved in a road accident that claimed her leg (it wasn’t voluntary).

As usual, the accident must have been caused by an act of man (bad road, over speeding, dysfunctional vehicle, et al).

But you seem to want to spiritualise her predicament as a precursor to her glorification in life.

Religion and some cultural beliefs dey too affect us for this country.

The mission of the thread is clear-cut; Tbills.

It matters little or nothing if the investment isn’t performing well, the fact remains that Tbills is the focus of the thread. Any other discourse (aside investments) is an abuse.

My inference of your statement is that you’re making discussions here just for the sake of discussions in order to keep the thread busy. Too bad, if that’s it. Silence has its value. Same way Nigerian leaders hijack processes and platforms, divert resources for reasons other than their initial purposes.

If you need to discuss socio-political issues, there are threads for that. Some not-too-frequent readers of this thread and newbies will be overwhelmed by the unrelated discourses on the thread.

Biko, let’s manage our resources well. Best!

Sorry about that, but in all honesty there not much to discuss about TB for now

Interestingly, they can start their careers with foreign coys right from the comfort of their rooms as remote workers.

Skillfulness and results trump paper qualifications.
