truly, he does deserve it. From personal experience, in North America, if u manage to create something different, as in, remotely different (eg, a better way to cut finger nails without using ur teeth or nail cutters), straight up, government funding and community help don land...check Canada and start-up companies in Ontario, you'd be surprised that even someone who compiled past questions (like the past SSCE questions and answers in Nigeria) gets govt funding to continue doing that 'big project'...This is true.
another guy who helps people to meet other people (facilitator) is also receiving huge funding. A Nigerian, very brilliant young guy (names withheld) just finished from d university (engineering) and now, he is compiling and developing course contents for some new universities in Nigeria and he is being funded by the govt..
Think about it, people's genuine effort should be encouraged and appreciated. That's one of the ways forward.

Before Boko Haram started in 2008, I started an elementary school in Maiduguri (Lagos Road) teaching almajiris free for 2 hours 3 days of the week...I bought free exercise books and I designed small text books (with nice pictures for them) about 23 of them...I hired some hausa guys to help with the language thing and setting. I brought a big box of vests (The ones used in private schools for inter house sports and stuffs), shipped it from lagos to Maiduguri (and luxurious bus guys almost collected every money I had in this world), distributed these cloths to the almajiris. They were happy! And I was happy!
On some saturdays, i prepared rice for those boys...and even some of their mama wey stroll come chop self.
At the school i was teaching, I helped with somany projects, basically funded by my money...
But i thank God that I did all these for humanity...I feel proud and humbled and fulfilled because if i could do that there, I can do even better in the nearest future. Watch out, i am working towards that.

There is room for extremism in islam as it has been shown over and over again in the following areas:
- MSSN on campuses (especially in Unilorin and OAU)
- Boko Haram in Northern Nigeria
- Islamic insurgents in Mali, Sudan and other African countries.
- Hezbollah in the Middle East
- Ayatollah in the Middle East
- AlQaeda in the Middle East (with branches worldwide)
Muslims in the other parts of Nigeria are cool headed because they don't take it to an extreme, same with muslims in other western world.
Why is it that whenever u provoke a muslim brother, the next thing is 'Allah, fatwa, etc' as if u are engaged in a religious war with them?' It beats one to think that u cant crack a normal joke with a turban and veil wearing muslim brother...its just odd...As far as I (and most of us) can tell, Islam ain't nolonger a religion of peace...Not until they allow us live in peace without anyone trying to bomb us up all in the name of Islam...
