What has this got to do with democracy? Why should we care really, when the most important thing is the impact the Governor has on our lives? Religion is a personal matter. Except for extremists who make life uneasy for those who are not like them, one won't be bothered about such. The turn by turn mentality is ruining our nation. We're not fielding our best due to such silly considerations. |

UstazAhmed:How has Sharia helped to eradicate crime in the North? We still hear of rape and other crime there as it is everywhere. Let's just say the youth need a total reorientation. There are Mosques and Churches everywhere yet things are getting worse by the day. Crime never pays. |
Ile la ti nkeso rode. |
richmond500:The vaccine is safe. Take paracetamol (as we were told) if you feel feverish. I'm yet to see anyone that has a serious adverse effect. |
Hmmm! The poor have to keep tightening their belts for the rich to grow bigger. |
jeliliadedoja1:Many don't focus on the spiritual aspect of religion. They go to Church/Mosque hoping for salvation without personally working towards it. We are to worship God in spirit and in truth. A personal effort to achieve deeper understanding prevents gullibility and being misled...whichever faith one belongs to. No pastor can deceive me since I'm capable of sorting out my issues with God. We indulge Pastor and Alfas by unwittingly making them intermediaries. Funny enough, the MFM GO advices that his members should learn to fight their battles instead of looking up to their fellow human beings. One of the major issues on the Hijab matter for instance is the emphasis on physical matters. We once hired an Hijabi (fully covered one) who turned out to be a hardened thief. It's an experience that still makes me shudder. |
Iamdemola1:There is no need for connection if you fall into Phase 1 category in Lagos State. So many people have been vaccinated without any issues. Classic FM staff fall into Phase one as journalists. They only need to show up with their ID cards at the Falomo or Ijeh centres in Ikoyi. |
OlayemiAshraf:You have forgotten that renouncing Islam is a death sentence in line with Sharia law. Let's just say that it's most unfortunate that the kidnapping took place ( and is still taking place). May God in His infinite mercy bring her back home safely. Nothing is impossible with God. |
Wow! A very heartless woman indeed. This is gruesome and despicable especially when one considers the way he was killed and the fact that she was there. |
Very sad indeed. May God deliver them from their oppressors. |
Some people are trying so hard to sow seeds of discord in Yoruba land. Unfortunately, it won't work. Of course, there'll be the storm in the tea cup events happening for a while. |
This is grossly unfair and most inhuman. Anyone who is God fearing will not do this. The people need to fight back with any legal means if their government is unwilling to be proactive. Gov Zulum for instance has been trying his best to recover lost villages to BH and he's slowly bringing the owners back with the help of the Army and JTF. |
This is a very good initiative from the private sector! Something that we should have all over the country if only our leaders care. |
Gbogbo aso ko ni a nsa loorun. Oro pupo ju ko dara. Wahala lo nko ba ni. Enia kii fi gbogbo inu han ota eni. |
How will that happen? |
I learned that several Nigerians have won grammy awards over the years. Who has the details? Meanwhile, kudos to Wiz and Burna boy. |
We had no female students wearing hijab in Federal Colleges even in the North all through the 70s to the 90s to the best of my knowledge. ALL female students of both public and mission schools wore berets or hats. When did hijab suddenly become mandatory in Islam? It's not one of the 5 pillars of Islam nor is it in the Holy Koran which states modest dressing ....same as in the Holy Bible. A uniform is a leveller and promotes unity. I just pray that they don't succeed in dividing our youth and/or initiating them in to extremism. BH and ISWAP are still with us as a major issue. Let's beware of creating more battle fronts. |
defcon4:Please accept my sincere condolence. May his soul rest in peace. It's a very sad situation as the innocent ones who choose to live in peace get into trouble with their more violent cousins. May God deliver us from evil minds. |
What has he done for the poor farmers being harrassed and uprooted from their farms and villages in Yewa land? |
May God continue to guide and protect our gallant soldiers who fight so hard to keep us safe and sound. May the souls of the departed rest in peace. |
Mabizeka:Try to read before commenting. It makes it easier for you to write intelligently and probably to proffer meaningful solutions. All the reasons why they are being cautious are stated therein. |
richmond500:Many don't read or comprehend before they comment. Terrible thing! |
Drsnives:Sadly, I was informed about the loss of a family friend yesterday due to COVID infection. He died at an Isolation centre. |
The money can be used to fund FG projects in Delta State. |
Amotolongbo:Omo Ibadan kii se eru eni kankan! We should respect each other's culture and traditions for peaceful living, cohesion and meaningful progress. No one is superior to the other. |
Mayeldah:This isn't true. Only Ilorin has an Emir in Kwara State. The others are Obas and Baales. |
Juliusmalema:This is certainly not from Yorubaland. |
Hmmm! The evil side of polygamy... |
Hopefully the truth will unfold as investigation continues. CP is doing a good job as far as this report shows. |
How about taking development to the rural areas especially Yewaland where the people currently feel abandoned? ? How about doing something about those terrible roads in Ijebu and Remo? Sango Ota which has a number of industries is lagging behind in infrastructure. Life shouldn't start and end in Abeokuta. |
simplesearch:Maybe but that's not possible. They can't kill everyone and there'll be solutions by God's grace. Depending permanently on those who choose to starve people at will is risky and unsafe. As efforts are being made, over time, God will surely make a way. |
