Terrible!

What exactly are the duties of the government? What is the purpose of paying taxes, rates and levies if people still have to contribute for basic necessities? What happens to the Federal Allocation from Abuja?

Maybe it's fake news....

Politics › Re: MURIC Backs Sharia In South-West, Tells Christians To ‘Mind Their Business’ by delpee(f): 3:12pm On May 29, 2021
There are 2 places for the practice of Shariah law in Lagos. The mosque in 1004 and one in Ipaja/Abesan. How many Muslims have gone there in all the years that the Panels have existed?

Yorubas are not dumb and will not be coerced into practising hypocritical Shariah as done elsewhere. e.g. Breaking beer bottles while enjoying the proceeds from the sales of the ones that arrive at their destination. Zamfara, the first state that implemented Sharia is so far from being the paradise we expected it to become while poverty and crime reign supreme.

What we need above all else right now is good governance.

Why should we have few people in a hall to represent the interest of all Lagosians on this matter? Senator Remi needs to listen to the Oonis recent speech and learn. You can't isolate the majority in governance and expect meaningful results.

Crime › Re: How South West Is Becoming A Hotbed Of Ritual Killings In Nigeria - TheCable by delpee(f): 4:19pm On May 27, 2021
This happens all over the country. We've read reports from the East, North and South South too. The horrible killings at Akwuzu and Iniubong's case comes to mind. Anyone who has the time to spare can list atrocities from other states too. That's not to justify heartless/devilish behaviour. Terrible turn of events in our nation truly. I don't know how anyone won't understand that you reap as you sow...short or long term.
Politics › Re: Senate To Consider Proposal To Create Sharia Courts In South-West by delpee(f): 12:56pm On May 27, 2021
Zamfara was the first state to implement Sharia law. What positive impact has it had on the people? How peaceful and progressive has the North been with Shariah in place? Is it all about breaking beer bottles and looking for prostitutes to humiliate?

I have nothing against the Shariah as long as it applies only to Muslims. We need to weigh our priorities and plan properly so that we don't complicate our lives more.

CaptainZubi:
I have my ticket already. Flight slated for next week. I decided to check out the domestic airport today and see things ahead of time but everything was so confusing . I tried asking one man i met at the departure entrance and he just dey squeez face like person wey never chop. I went back home empty handed. Everything is just confusing. Entering ezenwata , God is good or chisco no get wahala reach this .

I'll be travelling to Kano, when I enter the departure door, where should I go, what should I do. Abeg help my life, I'm just confused. Just describe the whole process for me. Also when I get to my destination what next.

Also in my ticket, I can see cabin book class YW. What does it mean.

Seun Mynd44 lalasticlala Dominique pls help.
The airport officials and crew of the airline are always there to guide you.

However, once you check in at the appropriate counter for your airline of choice, go to the departure lounge. You'll pass your hand luggage through a scanning machine. Don't get carried away by ambience of the lounge ( depending on the airport). Listen attentively to the announcements so that you know when your plane arrives or it's time to board.

Proceed to the designated tarmac (ask the officials at the exit door) once the plane is ready for boarding.
Don't go and enter Maiduguri plane instead of Kano. grin

You'll join a queue by the plane for your ticket to be checked before you climb the steps to enter the plane. Once you get in, the hostess will show you your seat if you're not sure. It will be nice if you get to seat by the window so you can enjoy the view. The hostess will show you how to fasten your seat belt. Hopefully, you'll be served some snacks and juice/water later.

When you get tò Kano, just follow others as they proceed to the arrival lounge where you'll collect your checked in luggage if any. You go out of the airport from there to get a cab. Though more expensive, you're safer with registered cabs in a town that you're not familiar with.

Have a safe flight and enjoyable stay in Kano.

Tell us your experience after.

AdaNri1:
If only there was accountability to ICAN exams too.
No one is accountable in Nigeria, that’s why a governor’s door opener has his own door opener cheesy
ICAN exams are straightforward. If you study and practise well enough, passing isn't a problem. There's no room for cheating and sorting unlike what obtains most especially in our public institutions. The marking system makes it difficult for anyone to "settle". That level of integrity is the reason why the private sector would prefer an ICAN chartered accountant to an ANAN certified accountant. The public sector accepts both on equal terms though.

It's wise for those who don't understand the politics between Israel and Palestine to sit on the fence and watch events unfold. Has anyone seen Egypt supporting the Palestinians? Egypt and Israel jointly monitor the activities of Hamas/Hezbollah whose activities has had a great impact on Lebanon.

Their war isn't about religion. There are Christians in Palestine and Arab Muslims who are Israelis!
The good ones among them should be recalled, but for the evil and devilish nurses that removed the oxygen from the face of a 3 day old baby in the incubator, they will not only be sacked permanently with their Nursing License revoked, but they will spend a long time in prison.

Those ones are not nurses, they are murderers.
If you are in support of such act, you are nothing but a heartless murderers also.

We Rise!
The parents of the baby have disagreed with this story. The nurses did not remove the oxygen unduly and the baby is safe.

My uncle was killed in Toro farm four days ago. We are still unable to retrieve his corpse.
You can shove your Yoruba nation up my arse.
This post was to warn people to restrict their movement.
I am not sure if you were born in 1980, 83 or 1997 when the war started.
War doesn't discriminate. If you can't warn people to stay save you should keep your data to watch YouTube videos.
Condolences on the sad loss of your uncle.

The killers may not be Ife people considering what is going on everywhere these days. It's wiser and safer to remain calm and avoid another round of war which could ruin the whole town.

Ife and Modakeke people will live together in peace against the evil plan of detractors. The vigilantes on both sides should work harder towards containing the criminals on both sides and external aggressors who are mischief makers.
