Maryam1234: I will advise you open your own thread and educate us the more rather than countering what's already stated. We are eager to learn about the perspectives you're coming from A friend of mine, called my attention to this thread. She's from Ondo State but Igala by ancestry;she found something interesting about my native name yesterday and she thinks I'm more Yoruba than Igala.I have to let her know that my name Keju is an abreviation of Alikeju, her dad's name is Akeju and her brother abbreviates it as Keju, such a twist. She's telling me I'm bearing her surname Lolz.
SlayerofSatan: Why is allah more interested in stabbing a 75 year old man who wrote a book 30 years ago with just a few paragraphs which mocked him, but he is powerless to help the thousands of muslim women who are being raped in concentration camps by the atheist government of China?
When I read years ago about how china is treating the uygurs, a sad laugh came to my face. These islamics dared not raise the concerns in solidarity facing their fellow muslims where its important they are busy terrorizing the west that granted freedom to all and sundry
Like many Under-30s, supporting BOLA TINUBU ahead of 2023 would mean preserving the old order when several younger and more appealing candidates could lead us come 2023.
His 11th colloquium pro-people advice to the VP on VAT increase triggered me and got me digging.
“Really?”

The same religious fanatics like you were the ones that persecuted Copernicus when he said the earth was round.
God had already blessed Elon Musk for doing his callings and he will continue to bless him and let him do more.
ifiokjohn: I know when I'm finished with listing my reasons why I won't be voting Tinubu many of you here will call me Igbo, Ipob, etc. That's you guys business...for the record I'm from Akwa ibom state, Abak local Government precisely.
First of all, you should all know I'm a detribalised Nigerian. I'm part of those who campaigned for buhari in 2015 even though I wasn't of age of voting then but still I knew many I convinced to vote him which I badly regret. I apologise. In 2019 I tried to correct that mistake by campaigning against buhari but well it didn't really work. Now due to the lessons have learnt cause of the failure of buhari I have chooosen to today be OBEDIENT and reject 'BATIFIED' and this are my Reasons.
1. Failure of Buhari and the APC in Governance: it's no secret that Nigeria under buhari is a failed Country. We have ASUU strike with Mr President doing nothing. We have insecurities, the economy is in comatose so tell me why should I vote a Tinubu who is part of this party?. Any idea of Tinubu to make Nigeria better should have been channeled by Tinubu to buhari or osinbajo to make Nigeria better but he did nothing.
2. EndSars: it was just over a year ago innocent Nigerian youths were shot and killed by soldiers with Tinubu doing or saying nothing about it. Infact he/ his son who is in Control of that tollgate abeting that atrocity.
3. Lagos State: when I look at Lagos and the Hugh potential it has to be Nigerian own California if only good leadership was steering the ship of that state I weep. I look at the progress of cities like Kigali, Abidjan etc in African and I know Lagos which is the 5th largest economy in Africa should be Better than it currently is by a mile if not cause of poor leadership. Go to Rwanda, Capetown , Cairo, Winghok and you will weep for Lagos... With all those billions that accrues to Lagos, we shouldn't be comparing it with anambra, we should be comparing it with top top cities of the world.
4. Health status: Tinubu is sick, Very sick. There's no way he can be able to administer Nigeria well. When you tell his supporters this, they will tell how he will put top people in positions that will help to run the country... but do we need that?. Won't the absence of Mr President due to constant visits to the hospitals give this people the opportunity to misbehave and do as they please? The old man should simply go and rest, tend to his health.
5. Old Age: Tinubu is more than 69 years and Nigerian do not need another old man as a President. Old age will be an obstacle in carrying out many of his duties as Mr President and that will not hold well for Nigeria.
6. Party: I'm tired! I'm tired! I'm tired!!! I'm tired of apc and pdp. We need a change. Those parties has failed us, lets try something new and better. A third force party like labour party if voted in will put the two major parties into factory settings. They will no longer ever underrate nigerians whenever they return back to power. When there is competition for one position, anyone that occupys or is fortunate to occupy that position most times do their best and we need that right now in Nigeria. If we vote in labour party, it becomes that strong force then we are in. And I'm pretty sure the labour party will do well so they won't be voted out.
We shouldn't reward failure! I refuse to reinforce failure.
7. Peter Obi antecedent: I checked and did a few little research of my own and I saw that anambra currently is the 4th in HDI and one of the top 5 in education in the country and that's a legacy. If Peter Obi can improve Nigerians standard of living jus like he did anambra that was langusing at the very back then I'm sure he can improve Nigerians standard of living.
8. ASUU strike: Yes yes, Tinubu might not be the President but he has the connection with Mr President and even with those he has done absolutely nothing for Nigerian students. If he can't actually influence Mr President to end this ASUU debacle why then should I vote him?.
9. "Where are the Cows?": It was just a few years ago where herdsmen attacked the car of a reputable Yoruba daughter and instead of Tinubu to stand with his people, he stood with the Fulanis by asking the question 'where are the cows?'.... I will never forget how disappointed I was with him. Was he that incapable of showing solidarity with his people? Today, same Tinubu wants to be President and he wants the votes of Nigerians? Especially Southerners too....IMPOSSIBLE.
10. MUSLIM -MUSLIM TICKET: No matter what Tinubu do or say I will never supoort a Muslim -MUSLIM ticket as a Christian. It is dead on arrival.
The only post so far on nairaland that raises genuine reasons that can be debated instead of false accusations from imagination of haters
BluntCrazeMan: GO AND VERIFY. .. Two men were governors: one in Lagos, the other in Anambra. Towards the end of their second term, the one in Lagos sent his retirement bill and got his house of assembly to approve what you see below as his yearly pension.
1. 300% annual salary as severance package as approved by RMAFAC. 2. 100% of annual basic salary of incumbent gov as salary for LIFE even after leaving office. 3. Six new cars every 3 years 4. A new house in Lagos, minimum 5 bedroom 5. A new house in Abuja or any other location, minimum 5 bedroom. 6. Free medical care for him and members of his family for life. 7. Entitled to cooks, stewards, Gardners, and domestic staffs, all pensionable. 8. 300% of his annual basic salary as governor every 2 years as furniture allowance 9. 100% of annual basic salary as governor as his house maintenance allowance 10. Two DSS officers, 1 female officer for his wife and eight policemen to guard him. 11. 25% of his annual basic salary for personal assistants. 12. 30% of his annual basic salary for car maintenance . 13. 20% of his annual basic salary as utilities maintenance. 14. Pensionable drivers, no limits to the number.
(This is apart from what he gets as a percentage of collections from the firm - Alpha Beta - which collects tax for Lagos State, and the total control he has over the governors and the treasury.) .. .. But See what Peter Obi collects from Anambra State since leaving office as governor:
1. No gratuity 2. No pensions 3. No houses 4. No cars 5. No allowances of any kind 6. No maintenances of any kind. 7. No personal assistants paid by the state. 8. No domestic staffs paid by the state. 9. No aids sponsored by the state. 10. Not even pure water. 11. No shishi from the State.
Now the two men want to be president.
So choose you today who means well for Nigeria and who will serve the people selflessly.
I am just exposing your mind to see the truth. It is now your decision to make and convince others. Use your reasoning.. Vote and support wisely….
zionmde: Why are all agberos tinubu supporters? Why is their leader oluomo a tinubu right hand man? So tinubu met lagos as a former capital but u all attribute lagos development to tinubu

It's because of science you had the opportunity to read and write and to express yourself. Are you saying you are part of the process that will end the world?
myright: Some gunmen on Wednesday killed six men of northern extraction in the Sabo area of Ondo town in Ondo State. Sabo, also known as strangers’ quarters in Hausa, is dominated by Northern Nigerians. The victims were reportedly buried Wednesday according to Islamic rites while one of the victims was still receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital in the state.
The killing followed a terrorist attack on St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, another town in Ondo State on Sunday. The attack is suspected to have been carried northern Fulani men. According to the state government, 40 congregants were killed by the terrorists in the attack.
Regarding Wednesday’s attack, the Sarkin Hausawa of Ondo, Alhaji Abdulsalam Yusuf, told Daily Trust that the gunmen stormed the area on motorbikes around 12:30 am and opened fire on innocent roadside petty traders. “They came to our area (Sabo) on motorbikes and each was carrying three gunmen. All of a sudden, they started shooting people who were mostly Suya and tea vendors.
“A J5 bus driver who was on transit and had stopped to eat was the first victim. They killed a ‘guardman’ (security guard) and another shopkeeper who was trying to lock up his shop and run away from the assailants. “They again gunned down two young men who were eating noodles at a mai shayi (a tea seller) stall. That makes five victims in Sabo alone.
“Again, they struck another area called Iba where they also shot dead another man,” Yusuf said. Yusuf said the divisional police officer in the area had dispatched a police patrol team to the place to assess the situation and evacuate the corpses to the mortuary.
According to him, the attack might be a reprisal because they had been living peacefully in the area for more than 60 years until Sunday’s terrorist attack on worshippers disturbed the peace enjoyed by the community. The Sarkin Hausawa of Shasha in Akure, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, said the Hausa community was not responsible for the attack on the Owo church. “We have been living peacefully for long with the people of Ondo State; we don’t have any problem with them. We are doing our businesses together, so what will lead us to attack them or to attack their church? “We want them to know that our people have no hand in the church attack,” he said
PrinceOfLagos: The primary is over and victory bought , can we move on now
The main election is few months away and Tinubu life long ambition will not be achieved because of the northern factor and south east and south south factor which ofcourse will not favour Tinubu, so all this cheap bought over victory is not worth celebrating till you win the major in 2023 which I dont see happening
LesbianBoy: When it comes to local politics especially Lagos politics, i give it to tinubu. I mean, he has brainwashed lagosian and turned lagos to his personal property. But you see national politics? I would still rate obasanjo far ahead of tinubu. Forget all this hype around tinubu now. I see many people praising tinubu of his political expertise on national level bla bla bla.
Let me ask:
Where was this political expertise on a national level in 2007 and 2011 respectively?
Not only did obasanjo defeat tinubu in national politics those 2 times, he defeated him installing people who were practically unknown and had no political history or clout like that.
Tinubu was bragging the other day that he installed buhari. Mstchewwww........Buhari that was well known already and had even ruled us in the past.
Btw, the politics tinubu played in 2015 was very easy, as in nothing expert about it.
Now let me explain what he did.
Having lost in 2007 and 2011. The 2011 defeat especially really pained him because obasanjo used an unknown jonathan to defeat his candidate atiku who was from the north.
Having lost billions in those elections, tinubu was desperate. When jonathan started having problems in his tenure
Tinubu would have thought to himself one day while eat amala and ewedu and with the 2011 election result in one hand......
"This jonathan guy is having little problems, there is an opportunity here. Since Yorubas and hausas have a common enemy which is the igbos (who love this jonathan guy), and although yoruba and hausas are also lowkey enemy and don't trust themselves, why don't i become friends with the lesser enemy which is the hausas. i mean they have the numbers. With their numbers through buhari, mixed with my own supporters and then we can exaggerate the problem this jonathan guy is having and finally we can push the tribal war narrative, booom that should work".
And it worked! In summary he made that election a hausa and yoruba vs igbo war. Ofcourse the two tribes have the numbers and would win the igbos.
This explains why we became so divided after the infamous election.
See, the damage Tinubu did to this nation in 2015, it will take years infact, many of us and our kids would have been long gone before things are brought back to normal all because of his selfish desire to become president.
