This is the world we see ourselves in today.

We heard of deaths of several thousand people on 9/11 yet not a single dismembered body was shown on CNN. Not one roasted body did we see. There was no display of missing arms and legs so that their people will not be totally demoralised and the world will not see them at their worst.

In Africa, it is exactly those kinds of images they will ask photo-journalist to capture and our stupid journalist here will be capturing roasted and disgustingly bloated bodies with glee, under the misconception that they are painting a true picture.

Africa has been given a bad name for a long time now and the only reason for giving a dog a bad name is in order to hang it.

They have given Africa a bad name and even Africans are now helping carry on the bad name. I hope when it comes to the point of getting hanged, we will help too to hang ourselves.

this money is part of what is allocated to the care of Oyo State and the people of Oyo State.

It is the people of Oyo State, through their State House Of Assembly, who will decide whether they want to spend N10 million on information for solving this case.

This same Akala reduced minimum wage in the state in light of shortage of cash. N10 million will increase 4000 Oyo state workers' salary by N2500.

My simple question is, if it is State Government N10 million he is planning to use in solving the case, who authorized it? Or does he think a state of emergency or Martial Law has been declared in Oyo state that would allow the Executive Governor to be making state decision according to his emotions or how many tears he shed?

Enduring long under military rule, and viewing USA dictatorship as democracy has really twisted our understanding of what democracy should be.

Leaders of Britain, France and the USA are constantly machinating various means to perpetuate war in Nigeria so that they can completely discredit Africa, sell weapons and buy oil cheaply and people are here saying our leaders are bad.

All the African leaders that the West discredit and claim are stealing billions of dollars from their countries, when they die and we ask the west to account for this money, it begins to dwindle from $6 billion to $60 million, and finally we don't even hear anything at all.

Till we decide to grow and realise that all the tricks the "whiteman" is using on us today, we taught them everything, then our second slavery/colonization is not only inevitable, it is imminent!

I am not saying Akala should not put in efforts to help in solving a crime. What I am saying is that this is a democracy and things should be done democratically. Did the State House Of Assembly approve that amount of money?

Nigerians do not require N10 million to report a callous crime. If there's any decent law abiding citizen who knows about the murder, they will call the police free of charge.

Since Governments have been placing rewards for information on murders, how many murderers have been caught this way?

When somebody is assassinated these days, Government officials begin to put up all sorts of outstanding sums just to assert their innocence in the matter, rather than to really catch a criminal.

In fact, the N10 million reward is suspicious.

did you mean to say 100%? I really don't agree that 80% of Nigerian Home Videos are of poor quality. I think they are all hopeless, save for a handful.

You can imagine a situation whereby a music video has four times the production effort of a home video.
A case where Nigerian music videos take months to plan, shoot and produce, while home videos take a month.
Where professionally trained Directors and Editors are engaged in making Nigerian music videos while nobody edits home videos, they just use cut and paste, transitions and that God forsaken House Of Macro.
The Soundtrack for music videos are professionally re-recorded in a studio, while in home videos, it's the crappy noise they record during shooting that they render back into the video and bring out as the final movie.
While during the shoot of music video shots are taken and re-taken several times before going to the next scene, in home video production their hope is to shoot every scene on the first take. I've personally been on a set where The Geckos where shooting a music video and they shot a single scene up to 30 times because of how difficult it was. Even when the actors got it perfectly right at last, they still re-took it 5 more times so that during editing they may choose the very best.

The home video industry will not improve till financial benefit starts coming to those whose movies are exceptionally good.

That stupid Africa Magic should begin to demand some level of picture and sound quality before they feature any movie and start paying royalties.

The current state of the Nigerian movie industry is a big joke. I'm very ashamed of it. Very few of the so-called actors can even act with a degree of realism. Most of the producers are ex-electronics dealers who don't see the need to buy scripts they make up their own stories themselves and allot those rib-cracking names; "Juliet Must Die, But Why?"

It's just sickening!

We would really like to know where mr Akala got that N10 milion from. Is he also one of those governors that were billionaires before they took public office?

We Keep Forgetting That Bin Laden Is A CIA Agent.


Over the years, Osama has released a couple of strategically timed video and audio tapes in which he specifically addresses the "people of America".

The issue though, is that whenever Mr Laden delivers any of these tapes, he always makes comments which buttress the point George Bush is trying to make at that point in time.

Fully knowing that Americans are totally anti anything Bin Laden, it is obvious that Americans would want the exact opposite of what Bin Laden says he wants. It is some sort of Pavlov mind conditioning.

So when Bin Laden says Americans should not vote Bush in the last elections, he is actually conditioning their minds to want to vote George Bush.

When Bin Laden says he wants Americans to prevail on their Government to end the War in Iraq, he is actually conditioning the minds of the Americans to support their Government's continued stay in Iraq.

When Bin Laden says that Americans should embrace Islam, he's actually conditioning the minds of Americans to be more persecutive of Islam and Muslims.

If Bin Laden says that Americans are losing the Iraq War, he is conditioning their minds to want anything done to win the war.

It is kind of funny how every time George Bush has nothing to cling on and no more excuses to lay, providence just conveniently and coincidentally comes up with "a reminder that Iraq is a part of this war against extremists" in the form of a Bin Laden Tape.

We all know that the Bushes and the Ladens had a mutual enemy in Saddam and his Iraq with all its oil, so I really can't help but wonder, has Agent Laden really be decommissioned?

Wow! And just as George Bush compares Iraq to Vietnam, Bin Laden compares Iraq to Vietnam again. It begins to seem these two are saying the very same thing.


Just as the British are pulling out of Iraq, Bin Laden is spitting out one of his magic tapes that says leaving Iraq is a good thing for him. But will that make the British Stay? Hell No! As long as a phony terrorist attack could not convince them, nothing else will. Not even a Bin Laden live podcast threatening to blow up Buckingham Palace with lizzy in it.

You see, this is what happens when we have lack of proper democracy.

In a proper democracy, Presidents can be assassinated, Judges can be assassinated for their decisions, but Representatives cannot.

The answer is simply because in a true democracy, Representatives and Senators have no power of personal decision making in Government.

When a Representative wants to make a decision in the National Assembly, he consults with the people of his constituency and they tell him what they want, which is what he ultimately votes.

In such an instance he is merely a messenger carrying a message. Whosoever does not like the message will not gain by killing the messenger because a replacement will be found who will still carry the very same message from the same people.
Therefore, in true democracy, it makes not sense to kill a Representative. It makes no sense to even bribe them or blackmail them because the matter is not in their hand.

But what do we have in several so-called Democratic countries we have today? A situation where a Senator or Representative can just make a personal guess or offer his personal opinion on a matter of national importance which requires several hours of meditating and debating among elders, group and union leaders in his constituency.

As long as they have allotted themselves personal power to make decisions, they will have to fear those who do not like the decisions they make.

So now it's become a true democrat or risk assassination, blackmail or corruption (the last of which I don't think they mind very much).

I feel no pity for a messenger who gave himself the authority to determine what the message should be. He has borne the consequences. Lessons must be learnt and change must come.

Africa does not need aid and has never gotten any aid from anybody.

This year, USAID is giving $30 billion to Africa. Or at least is claiming to do so. But where does the money go? They say there are corrupt leaders, but USAID doesn't give money to leaders. They execute projects on their own.

So what do they do with the $30 billion? We see their USAID jeeps driving around town, but doing what exactly? They put up some billboards to show their presence and once in a while they advertise themselves on Radio and TV. Next thing you know $30 billion is gone.

They publicise one seminar as if it is heaven and earth, but when you get there, it is hardly different from a village elders gathering. And what new thing do they teach in this seminar?

Then there is the case of help in fighting HIV through awareness. Awareness of forcing our governments to buy very expensive anti-retrovirals from their countries rather than allowing us get the 100 times cheaper versions from India.

These countries are just aiding themselves to siphon money from their country using Africa's name.

Shey this year it's $30 billion from the USA alone? I dare anybody to show me anything that would be done in their community with this gargantuan sum of money.

Nigerians make up far more than 1% the population of the UK. I was chatting online with my ex and I noticed her new picture so she revealed to me she was in London to spend a little time with her sister (another Nigerian).

My cousin Suleman is in Newcastle and his immediate younger sister just joined him.

My best friend Niyi has been in the UK since 1999 and all his 4 older siblings have been there since the 1980s.

My neighbour is in London, my stepbrother is in London with his entire family.

My ex, exgirlfriend came back from London last year to get a job here ( patriot chick). Only she, her youngest brother and momsie are in Nigeria. All her other siblings are in the UK.

I have several other friends in the UK and there's one planning to go there for a visit next year.

Nigerians and Indians keep flocking to the UK without calculating that our population is several times theirs. If half the population of Nigeria goes to the UK, their population would make them the majority ethnic group.

If half the population of Indian joins them there, the English would become an insignificant minority group.

So the British Government has to find a way of tackling this influx of foreigners that is about to overwhelm them.

By rejecting visa application no matter how genuine
By charging exhorbitant visa fees where they should be none
By regular deportation exercise even if for baseless reasons
By regular quarantine exercise to curb excesses.

So I don't find it difficult to believe that Nigerians make up a very high percentage of inmates in London correctional facilities. While Indians know how to go to a foreign country and play by the prevailing rules, Nigerians always want to "show themselves" and assume they have equal rights as the citizens over there.
