But meanwhile, Alameseigha should be sent to that Medical Centre in the Niger-Delta University which he claimed he spent millions to equip.

See, I'm in support of all this flogging and fining and even capital punishment. But what I will not support is a breach of our constitution.

If the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria declares me president, in as much as I would like to be in charge of running this country the right way, if it is in breach of our hallowed constitution, I will reject it.

Let us not allow unconstitutional illegalities no matter how well meaning they are; no matter how in line with our philosophies they are.

The man who was flogged should be compensated with a fine to be paid by the magistrate, then furthermore, the magistrate should lose her job.
PoliticsRe: Should Capital Punishment Be Used Against Corrupt Politicians In Nigeria by denex: 8:31pm On Jul 20, 2007
Most definitely YES. Not just politicians but government officials and those who are charged with directing the fate of Nigeria and Nigerians.

Depending on the gravity of their offence, they should be relocated to HELL!

RomanceRe: Does My Ex Want Me Back Or Am I Being Used? by denex: 8:11pm On Jul 20, 2007
Well, I was in the same fix 2 months ago. Just that am a guy and she's the girl and this is what I said:

"Is anything you want to tell me, something you feel I should know?

Something you ought to tell me which you may not want to say.

Just to know what's really happening with the new mood, the new attitude, the new attention.

You do realise we broke up; and breaking up means moving on. So what's this all about?

I remember when we used to text back in the day. It was the most fun thing I remember about you. I wonder what we'd text to each other these days.

And those nights we'd just lay together and sleep. When you were cold, I'd cuddle not to keep you warm, but just to keep myself a little cool too, you keep me cool, I keep you warm. You know that's the whole Yin & Yang thing.

That's when I started to believe.

But all that is gone and done with now. It's all dead and buried. So what is this brand new amity supposed to be?"

RomanceRe: Do You Like Midnight Calls? by denex: 7:35pm On Jul 20, 2007
I can only tolerate a midnight call when it is below 10 minutes. Anything more than a 10 minute call for one night is irritating. Besides, even with these 10 minute limits, I've only been engaged in less than 10 midnight calls. And I use CELTEL.

He most probably spent N40 million. What I doubted was $40 million, but since that has now been clarified as N40 million, I believe it's possible.

@mamajama

A man that used N40 million to construct a gate can as well use N40 million to celebrate his daughter's graduation.

I'm even suspect that it was the N40 million that was stolen in the name of gate construction that was channeled into daughter's graduation.
CrimeRe: Curtailing Human Trafficking In Ebonyi. by denex: 6:33pm On Jul 20, 2007
These people are not being trafficked they solicit unregistered travel agencies to travel abroad. These European countries are just trying to criminalise this business because they lose about $20 billion yearly being transfered by the so-called trafficked people back to their families.

There's also the contract for fence building around the Governor's and Deputy Governor's lodge at N1.3 billion. That's like the total cost used to build the Great Wall of China! $10,000,000 for fence building.

PoliticsRe: Dangote, Others Pull Out Of Kaduna, P-harcourt Refineries' Deal. by denex: 4:49pm On Jul 20, 2007
What needs to be done is for all these valuers to be given the job of marketing the refineries. Let them advertise it worldwide and see if they can sell the Kaduna refinery for $160,000,000 any amount they make on top of that is theirs.

So if they can sell the Kaduna refinery for $1 billion, they get to keep the $840 million on top of it.

Yes! Let it be an open market. Let everybody freely partake. Where are all those Yahoo boys? This is their opportunity to put their skills into practice and make a whopping $840 million legally.

Let's see which other maga in the Universe will pay $160 million for a scrap-yard of waste metal dubbed a refinery.
PoliticsRe: Alamieyeseigha Bundled Back For Meeting With Abubakar Atiku In Dubai by denex: 4:30pm On Jul 20, 2007
Alameseigha has suffered enough. The man needs serious medical care. He should be sent to the very, very best medical facility in Yenagoa.

Let him lie on the bed he made. If he took those years to better Bayelsa. So let him enjoy the fruit of his labour.
PoliticsRe: Dangote, Others Pull Out Of Kaduna, P-harcourt Refineries' Deal. by denex: 4:17pm On Jul 20, 2007
The only reason I supported the Sale of these refineries is because I felt that giving them away free may cause a lot of controversies.

How can I buy half of a refinery producing 0 barrels per day for $160 million. That's 0 x 49% = capital zero.
Not to mention those thousands of redundant staff with their counter-productive unions and demands.

Capital zero+redundant unionists = -35%.

Bluestar just bought one of those moneyholes for $160,000,000.

Yet Nigerians are weeping that we have been shortchanged. Now that Dangote is pulling out, I hope those that want to be longchanged can go ahead and better their $160,000,000.
So were are they?

PoliticsRe: Alamieyeseigha Bundled Back For Meeting With Abubakar Atiku In Dubai by denex: 1:53pm On Jul 20, 2007
If Alameseigha violated the conditions of his bail, then steps have to be taken to deal with that. I don't know the state of things. I don't know if Atiku went to visit him, and I don't know if that violates the conditions.

But we should all realise that law enforcement agents must be very careful about a man that is claimed to have jumped bail earlier.
PoliticsRe: Miracle Bank Crashes, Depositors' Money Trapped, Operators Vanish by denex: 1:31pm On Jul 20, 2007
For God sake, what some of you are asking the government to do is to charge a man who is potentially dangerous for owning a kitchen knife.

It is not a crime to own a knife and it is not a crime to be potentially dangerous. Everybody is potentially dangerous.

The CBN did the best anyone could do. Advise the public against these organizations. It is not a crime to source contributory investment funds and it is not a crime to promise outstanding profits. What is illegal is disappearing with people's money. And once these people disappear, they disappear.

I personally, believe that this is a lessons Nigerians need to learn. If the CBN had used extra-Judicial means to ban these organizations, people would have continued saying that they're only doing it in order to keep Nigerians perpetually poor.

so did the CBN also license you local alajo? Or did the CAC certify your shoemaker?

You guys should accept for once that the responsibility lies with the fools who invested in this sham. There is no OBJ to point at this time around.

since you asked what I think, I will tell you what I think. I think you should live forever and not die. I think God should make you be the first person to enter hell alive.

For thinking it is okay for a governor to spend $300,000 on his daughter's birthday, I think you should live a life of destitution.

But that's because you asked what we all thought. I think you're wicked and utterly corrupt!
